Shooting Incident
LABASON - Shooting
incident transpired at Barangay New Salvacion, Labason, Zamboanga Del Norte at
about 4:00 PM of April 24, 2017. The victim was identified as Jerry Cañete, 43
years old, married, a resident of the above-mentioned place together with his
son john Eric Cañete, 8 years old. Accordingly, they were on their way home when
shot by three (3) unidentified persons wearing a mask. Victim Jerry Cañete sustained
thirteen (13) gunshot wounds on the different parts of his body that caused his
instantaneous death while John Eric Cañete was not hit but suffered a trauma. Recovered
at the crime scene were: two (2) fired cartridge of caliber .45 pistols. Elements
of Labason MPS are still conducting follow-up operation for the possible
identity and arrest of the suspects. Motive of the incident is still to be determined.

Service of Search Warrant
POLANCO - Joint operation
elements of CIDG - Zamboanga Del Norte in coordination with Polanco MPS together
with PIB-ZDN, PPSC-ZDN, PIDMB-ZDN, serve search warrant number 001-2017 at Barangay
Lapayanbaja, Polanco, Zamboanga Del Norte at about 6:15 AM of April 24, 2017 issued
by Hon. Jose Rene G Dondoyano, Presiding Judge Of Branch 6, 9th Judicial
Region, Dipolog City, Zamboanga Del Norte. This resulted in the arrest of Rolando
Pedrabuena Escuadro, 56 years old, a member of Saggunian Bayan Of Polanco,
Zamboanga Del Norte and a resident of said place. confiscated from his
possession were: one (1) unit caliber .45 pistol norinco bearing serial number
909271, one (1) unit 12 gauge shotgun with no serial number, three (3) pieces
magazines for caliber .45 pistol, ten (10) rounds of 12 gauge shotgun
ammunition, sixty nine (69) rounds of ammunition for caliber .45, one (1)
holster, eleven (11) rounds of ammunition for caliber .38 and three (3) fired
cartridges of caliber 5.56 ammunition. The search and the inventory of the
confiscated items were done in the presence of Hon Archito B Dingding and Hon
Narciso C Ponso of Barangay Lapayanbaja, Polanco, Zamboanga Del Norte. Subject person
and the confiscated items were brought to Minaog, Dipolog City, Zamboanga Del
Norte for proper disposition.
Man Held for Carrying Shotgun
MUTIA - A 33-year old
man was arrested after he was seen carrying shotgun while drinking at the plaza
of Barangay Tutungon, Mutia, Zamboanga Del Norte at about 9:45 PM of April 23,
2017. Arrested was as Jurito G Balignot, 33 years old, single, a resident of
the above-mentioned place. Confiscated from his possession and control are one
(1) unit homemade shotgun, twelve (12) gauges loaded with one (1) round of
ammunition. The arrested person was brought to Mutia MPS proper disposition.
Arrest of Wanted Person
SIAYAN - Operatives
of Siayan MPS conducted operation at Sitio Gimotan, Barangay Diongan, Siayan,
Zamboanga Del Norte at about 4:00 PM of April 24, 2017. Arrested was Ramon Agas
Lanuan, 22 years old, single, a resident of said place. subject person was
arrested by virtue of warrant of arrest for the crime of rape in relation to RA
7610 issued by Hon. Reymar L. Lacaya, Presiding Judge Of Branch 11, RTC 9th
Judicial Region, Sindangan, Zamboanga Del Norte docketed under criminal case
number s-5533 dated April 17, 2017 with
no bail-bond recommended. The arrested person was brought to Siayan MPS for
proper disposition.
Arrest of Wanted Person
SIOCON - Operatives
of Siocon MPS arrested a wanted person at Barangay Datu Sailela, Siocon,
Zamboanga Del Norte at about 1:30 PM of April 24, 2017. Arrested was Romario
Torino Inion, 45 years old, a resident of Barangay S. Cabral, Siocon. He was
arrested by virtue of warrant of arrest issued by Hon. Jerry B. Patcho,
Presiding Judge Of 4th MCTC, Ninth Judicial Region, Siocon, Sirawai, Baliguian for
the crime of grave threat docketed under criminal case number 3467 dated February
7, 2017 with recommended bail-bond of twelve thousand (₱12,000.00) pesos for
his temporary liberty. Subject person is presently detained at Siocon MPS for
proper disposition.
