Report on Mauling and Beating Incident
DIPOLOG
CITY - Be informed that at about 10:45 o’clock in the evening of January 8,
2016, SWAT personnel of Dipolog CPS led by SPO1 Eric U Ochotorena brought and
turn-over to Dipolog CPS the living body of the following JOSEPH LUMANDA y
Ugban, 19 years old, male, single, REYMOND LAÑOJAN, 17 years old, male, single,
RODEL PATIÑO y Escabarte, 17 years old, male single, all resident of Purok 8, Brgy Biasong,
Dipolog City and JUDIE MAQUILING y Anito, 14 years old, male minor and a
resident of Purok Pag-asa, Brgy Barra, Dipolog City wherein subject persons
were arrested as responsible in clubbing of PO1 Michael Rey Alvin Salaveria y
Hampac, presently assigned at Katipunan MPS, ZN, 30 years old, male, single and
a resident of Purok Buli, Brgy Minaog, Dipolog City. Initial investigation
conducted disclosed that the incident transpired at about 9:45 o’clock in the
evening of same date after the victim PO1 Michael Rey Alvin Salaveria y Hampac
visit the wake of the father of his brother of Fraternity and Sorority at St.
Peter Funeral Homes situated at Padre Ramon St., Brgy Estaka, Dipolog City, the
victim together with Mark Valencia decided to pass at Brgy Biasong and upon
reaching at Padre Ramon St., Corner Mabini St., Brgy Estaka, Dipolog City, they
saw a commotion of young persons and running towards them that caused the
Police Officer to disembark from his motorcycle, identified himself as Police
Officer and tried to pacify the group.
But without hesitation, the said group jointly and severally mauled him
with the use of pieces of wood, steel pipes, brass knuckles and bottles until
he dropped and fell at the roadside The victim sustained injuries in the different
parts of his body and was immediately brought to Corazon C. Aquino Hospital, Dipolog
City for medical treatment and attended by his physician Dr. Manligro. Arrested
suspects sustained contusions caused by the responding concerned citizens
having sympathy to the mauled police officer. The arrested suspect now
temporarily detained and Dipolog CPS while the minor suspects is under the
custody of said police station for the filing of appropriate charges in court
and for proper disposition. Elements of Dipolog CPS still conducting follow-up
investigation to identify and arrest the other suspects involved in the

Arrest of Wanted Persons
ROXAS - Two wanted
persons were arrested Please be informed that on January 9, 2017, at Barangay
Langatian, Roxas, Zamboanga Del Norte at about 1:30 PM of January 9, 2017.
Suspects were identified as Noki Sain Iran, 22 years old, single, and Aron
Montefalcon Magallano, 18 years old, singles both resident of said Barangay.
This is by virtue of Warrant of Arrest issued by Hon. Ric S. Batasa, Presiding
Judge of RTC 9 Branch 8, Dipolog City docketed under Criminal Case Nr 21365,
21366, 21367 for the crime of “Frustrated Murder” dated January 06, 2017 with
recommended bail of two hundred thousand (Php.200,000.00) pesos each accused
per case for their temporary liberty. The suspects were temporarily detained at
Roxas MPS for documentation and for proper disposition.
Arrest of Wanted Persons
ROXAS - Operatives of
Roxas MPS arrested two wanted persons in Barangay Langatian, Roxas, Zamboanga
Del Norte at about 1:55 PM of January 9, 2016. Arrested were Danbert Ombay
Katbagan 20 years old, single, and Clyde Saldia Donque 19 years old, single and
both resident of same barangay. This is by virtue of Warrant of Arrest issued
by Hon. Ric S. Batasa, Presiding Judge of RTC 9 Branch 8, Dipolog City docketed
under Criminal Case Nr 21365, 21366, 21367 for the crime of Frustrated Murder dated
January 06, 2017 with recommended bail of two hundred thousand (Php.200,000.00)
pesos each accused per case for their temporary liberty. The accused were
temporarily detained at Roxas MPS for proper disposition while waiting for the
Commitment Order.
Arrest of Wanted Person
ROXAS - Operatives of
Roxas MPS and DSWD conducted police operation in Barangay Langatian, Roxas,
Zamboanga Del Norte at about 2:30 PM of January 9, 2017. This led to the arrest
of Kian Arip Alfaro 16 years old, single, and Roy Escuadro Ybarsabal 17 years
old, single and both resident of said place. This is by virtue of Warrant of
Arrest issued by Hon. Ric S. Batasa, Presiding Judge of RTC 9 Branch 8, Dipolog
City docketed under Criminal Case Nr 21365, 21366, 21367 for the crime of frustrated
murder dated January 06, 2017 with recommended bail of two hundred thousand
(Php.200,000.00) pesos each accused per case for their temporary liberty.
Arrest of Wanted Person
ROXAS - A man charge
for the crime of frustrated murder was arrested in Barangay Lipakan, Roxas,
Zamboanga Del Norte at about 5:20 PM of January 9, 2017. Arrested was Peter
Edaga Azcuna 20 years old, single, resident of said place. This is by virtue of
Warrant of Arrest issued by Hon. Ric S. Batasa, Presiding Judge of RTC 9 Branch
8, Dipolog City docketed under Criminal Case Nr 21365, 21366, 21367 for the
crime of FRUSTRATED MURDER dated January 06, 2017 with recommended bail of two
hundred thousand (Php.200,000.00) pesos each accused per case for their
temporary liberty.
Campaign against Illegal Drugs (Violation of R.A. 9165)
SALUG - The
Anti-illegal Drugs Operatives of Salug MPS led by PCI VEDASTO J DASMARIÑAS III,
conducted a Drug Buy-Bust Operation along National highway of Barangay
Poblacion East, Salug, Zamboanga Del Norte at about 9:45 AM of January 9, 2017,
particularly in front of Lihay-lihay residence against one Camel S. Akil, 42
years old, Filipino, Male, Married and resident of Brgy Ramon Magsaysay, Salug,
for Violation of R.A. 9165. The raiding team successfully arrested the above
mentioned subject at above mentioned place and recovered from his possession were
the following drug evidence and non-drug evidence from the possession and
control of the subject in the presence of Hon. Rogelio A. Solomon and Hon.
Jonathan M. Balucos Jr. both elected Barangay officials of said place, Mr.
Ricky I Langutan– DOJ Representative and Mr. Argie T. Quimno representative
from the media, to wit:

Further be informed
that, subject was listed under the drug watchlist and included in the link
diagram of drug personalities of Salug MPS who operates his illegal drug
activities in this municipality and adjacent municipality. Furthermore, subject
was one of those drug personalities who voluntarily surrendered to Salug MPS
last July 7, 2016 in line with “Project Double Barrel”.
Arrest of Wanted Person
JOSE DALMAN - Two
individuals facing the violation of PD 1602 were arrested by Jose Dalman MPS in
Barangay Poblacion, Jose Dalman, Zamboanga Del Norte at about 2:30 PM of
January 9, 2017. The arrested suspects were identified as Levi Deliatan Y
Bantilan, 56 years old, married, and Eddie Capa Y Tolentino, 47 years old,
married, both residents of said place. This is by virtue of charge for “violation
of P.D. 1602” docketed in criminal case number 12713 with bail bond fixed to
Ten Thousand Pesos (P10,000.00) each, issued by Judge Nimfa B. Carreon-Padao of
MCTC, Sindangan dated December 1, 2016.
Apprehension of Wanted Person
ROXAS -
Be informed that on January 9, 2017, elements of Roxas MPS led by PO3 Joseph
Arnel Trumata Dini-ay, conducted Intelligence Driven Operation thru BIN at Brgy
Lipakan, Roxas, ZDN against Wanted Person. At about 6:30 o’clock in the evening
of same date, the team successfully arrested one JOMAR ANDAG QUINTERO 23 years
old, single, and JAYMAR ANDAG QUINTERO 23 years old, single and both resident
of Brgy. Lipakan, Roxas, ZN by virtue of Warrant of Arrest issued by Hon. Ric
S. Batasa, Presiding Judge of RTC 9 Branch 8, Dipolog City docketed under
Criminal Case Nr 21365, 21366, 21367 for the crime of “FRUSTRATED MURDER” dated
January 06, 2017 with recommended bail of two hundred thousand (Php200,000.00)
pesos each accused per case for their temporary liberty. The accused were
