Rape Suspect Captured

LILOY, Zamboanga del Norte (Oct. 25, 2018) - Combined elements of RMFB9, Liloy MPS and Imelda MPS conducted joint law enforcement operation against wanted person at Brgy Overview, Liloy, Zamboanga Del Norte at about 8:00 AM of October 24, 2018.

The operation led to the arrest of one Reynaldo Patajo Patrocinio, male, Filipino, married, 45 years old, farmer, and a resident of Brgy Overview, Liloy, Zamboanga Del Norte.

He was arrested by virtue of warrant of arrest issued by Hon. Vicente S De La Plaza II, Acting Presiding Judge of RTC 9th Judicial Region, Branch 31, Imelda, Zamboanga Sibugay for the crime of Rape docketed in Criminal Case No. IM-18-1700 dated October 17, 2018.

Arrested person was duly apprised of his constitutional rights and anti-torture law and was brought to Liloy Integrated Health Health District for medical purposes. Arrested person is now under the custody of Liloy MPS for proper disposition.

Stabbing Suspect Arrested in Hot Pursuit Operation

SIRAWAI, Zamboanga del Norte (Oct. 20, 2018) - The Operatives of 905th Maneuvering Company of RMFB9, Sirawai MPS and Zamboanga Del Norte Provincial Mobile Forces Company arrested the suspect during the conduct of joint law enforcement operation through hot pursuit operation at Purok 1, Brgy Bongon, Sirawai, Zamboanga Del Norte following the stabbing incident that transpired at about 2:00pm of October 18, 2018.  

The operating team identified the arrested suspect as Merryjun Machete Anghag, male, 27 years old with live-in partner, farmer, and a resident of the said barangay.

The Victim was identified as one Sunny Torayno, male 27 years old separated, farmer, resident of the said barangay, who sustained multiple stab wounds that immediately caused the victim’s death.

A bladed weapon used by the suspect to commit the crime was recovered at the crime scene. Initial investigation revealed that a heated argument emanated between the suspect and the victim after a drinking spree. The suspect fled to an unknown direction and went into hiding.

Suspect was immediately apprised of his constitutional rights and was properly turned over to Sirawai MPS for custody and disposition of the case. The cadaver of the victim was already turned over to the immediate family after the conduct of Post Mortem Examination.

RA 7610 Violator Arrested

POLANCO, Zamboanga del Norte (Oct. 19, 2018) - A 65-year old driver was arrested by Polanco Police Station during manhunt operation at Brgy Bethlehem, Polanco, Zamboanga Del Norte at around 3:10pm of October 18, 2018.

Arrested was identified as Florencio Bayer Gahisan, 65 years old, male, married, driver by occupation and a resident of said place.

The accused was arrested by virtue of Warrant of Arrest charged for the crime of Acts Of Lasciviousness in relation to RA 7610, under Criminal Case No 18718  with bail of (Php12,000.00) issued by Presiding Judge Rogelio D. Laquihon- of RTC Branch 7, Dipolog City dated November 18, 2017. The accused was brought to Polanco MPS.

 5 Injured in Road Crash Accident

LILOY, Zamboanga del Norte (Oct. 22, 2018) - Road crash accident transpired at Barangay Overview, Liloy, Zamboanga Del Norte at about 5:00pm of October 21, 2018, wherein one White Fotton Tornado bongo bearing Plate No. GB 9767 onboard with Thirteen passengers driven by a certain Jay Ramirez Mantos, male, Filipino, married, 26 years old, driver, a resident of Lakewood, Zamboanga del Sur, meet an accident at the abovementioned place.

Initial investigation conducted by the responding team disclosed that said vehicle was traveling from Lakewood, Zamboanga del sur going to Municipality of Salug, Zamboanga Del Norte and upon reaching at the place of accident, the driver applied sudden brake which resulted to pivot the back portion of his vehicle and later turning down.

Five of the passengers sustained minor injuries to the different parts of their bodies and were immediately brought by Liloy Emergency Response Unit (LERU) personnel to Liloy Integrated Health District Hospital for medical treatment.

The five injured passengers were identified as:

Charry Halasang Mangan, Female, Filipino, married, 39 years old, business woman;

Barceliso Dalahay Lapitan, male, Filipino, married, 47 years old, construction worker;

Diohenes Dalahay Lapitan, male, Filipino, married, 57 years old;

Medes Laurente Del Rosario, male, Filipino, single, 50 years old, farmer; and

Jonel Mangan Libradilla, male, Filipino, single, 24 years old, construction worker and all residents of Lakewood, Zamboanga del Sur.

The driver of the said vehicle was also brought to Liloy Integrated Health District Hospital for medical treatment and is now under the custody of Liloy MPS for proper disposition. Investigator on case is PO2 Dennes Alden Piala with contact number 09261182533.

82k Worth of Undocumented Lumbers, 4 Individuals Held by PNP

GUTALAC, Zamboanga del Norte (Oct. 24, 2018) - On October 22, 2018 at about 1:30am at Brgy Lux, Gutalac, Zamboanga del Norte, PNP personnel of Gutalac MPS together with personnel from DENR, CENRO, Liloy, Zamboanga Del Norte intercepted one White truck (Fuso) bearing plate number KCY 848.

The truck was owned by Mr. Robert  Lendio Soria Sr. 59 years old, male, businessman a resident of Brgy. Imelda Labason, Zamboanga del Norte, loaded with Two Hundred Forty Nine (249) pieces of Tanguile and Lauan lumbers with a total volume of 1,641.00 board feet at ₱50.00 per board feet with estimated value of ₱82,050.00.

The said lumbers were gathered, possessed and transported by the said vehicle owner and driven by truck owner son identified as Robert Lendio Soria Jr, 29 years old male a resident of Brgy. Imelda, Labason with two laborers namely:

Benny Bagiou Dagoplo, 25 years old, male and a resident of Brgy. Lawigan, Labason ZN; and 

Meljon Mapa Posan, 24 years old, male, both residents of Brgy. Osukan Labason Zamboanga Del Norte.

Meanwhile, upon verification, they failed to present pertinent documents for the said lumbers. 

Subject lumbers together with the conveyance were now at DENR, CENRO-Liloy, Zamboanga del Norte for safe keeping while the arrested four (4) crew still in Gutalac MPS custody for proper disposition.

Progress Report on Mauling Incident

DIPOLOG CITY (Oct. 23, 2018) - Please be informed that at about 11:45am of October 22, 2018, a case for Parricide was already filed at the Prosecutor’s Office at Bulwagan ng Katarungan Dipolog City with I.S number IX-07-INQ-18J-01071.

However, the respondent invoked his right to preliminary investigation. Accordingly, he filed before the office of the Prosecutor, a request to that effect with a waiver of his right under Article 125 of the Revised Penal Code.

Given then the foregoing, this case is thus set for preliminary investigation. Respondent is hereby given fifteen days from this date to file his countervailing evidence.

Hence, the respondent in the name of Junito A. Jumalon, is now temporarily detained to La Libertad MPS until to the lapse of time period given

1 killed in Stabbing Incident

DIPOLOG CITY (Oct. 24, 2018) – One woman was killed in Stabbing incident transpired at Purok Malampuson, Brgy Turno, Dipolog City, Zamboanga Del Norte at about 9:57am of October 23, 2018 particularly at the boarding house owned by Jerry Ybanez.

Immediately, PNP personnel of Dipolog CPS responded to on the said incident.

Initial investigation conducted disclosed that the victim was identified as Geraldine Gumamo Paler, 25 years old, single, with postal address of Purok 2, Brgy San Jose, Sergio Osmeña, Zamboanga del Norte and temporarily residing at Purok Malampuson (Igot), Brgy Turno, Dipolog City.

She who was stabbed nine times by her boyfriend identified as one Florante Baylosis Julayli, 28 years old, single and a resident of Purok Chrismus, Brgy Sicayab, Dipolog City.

The victim was brought by her brother Jefferson Gumamo Paler, 26 years old, at Zamboanga Del Norte Medical Center, Dipolog City and was pronounced dead on arrival by the attending physician.

Based on the revelation of the concerned citizen after the incident the suspect wearing black sleeveless and maroon short pants fled to unknown direction on board on a Black Rusi MC that prompted the responding PNP personnel to coordinate with other PNP for the possible arrest of the suspect and then said responding team proceeded at Zamboanga del Norte Medical Center to follow-up the victim.

Upon arrival at the said Hospital, the brother of the victim in the person of Jefferson Gumamo Paler pointed and positively identified the suspect Florante Baylosis Julayli, 28 years old, single and a resident of Purok Chrismus, Brgy Sicayab, Dipolog City who was also at the emergency room of said hospital after the suspect met an accident while driving his RUSI MC at Brgy Minaog, Dipolog City.

The knife used on the incident was turned by the medical Team to the responding PNP personnel of Dipolog CPS.

Cadaver of the victim was turned over to her family while suspect was still under medication at said Hospital.

Vehicular Traffic Accident 

DIPOLOG CITY (Oct. 24, 2018) - Vehicular accident transpired along National Highway of Sicayab, Dipolog City  at around 10:00am of October 23, 2018 particularly in-front of Dipolog City Institute of Technology, at around 9:55am of the same date.

The accident was involving two motor vehicles described as:

Vehicle1 Isuzu Crosswind, red color, bearing plate number YCR264 driven by Roseller Tamparong Buburan, male, 46 years old, married, a resident of Ramon Magsaysay, Sindangan, Zamboanga del Norte, a holder of professional Driver’s License Number J07-02-000581 valid until 2023-09-08.

Vehicle2 Rusi motorcycle series MP100, black color, bearing plate number 5418SA, driven by Florante Baylosis Julayli, male, 27 years old, single, a resident of Sicayab, Dipolog City, no driver’s license and OR/CR of the vehicle presented.

Acting on the report,  duty traffic police officer proceeded to the reported place for ocular investigation disclosed that, while the vehicle1 was travelling along the said road towards south direction was accidentally rammed by vehicle2 which traveling north direction and hereby encroaching opposite lane resulted to head on collision.

The driver of the vehicle2 suffered injuries and brought to Zamboanga Del Norte Medical Center for medical treatment. Both vehicles incurred damages on its front side portion.

The vehicle1 was brought by the owner while the vehicle2 was brought to Dipolog CPS and temporarily impounded for proper disposition.   

October 13-15,, 2018 Reported Incident

Rape Suspect Arrested

TAMPILISAN, Zamboanga Del Norte (oCT. 18, 2018) - Personnel of 901st Maneuvering Company of RMFB9 together with Tampilisan MPS, Zamboanga Sibugay Provincial Mobile Force Company and Zamboanga Del Norte Provincial Mobile Force Company conducted joint Law Enforcement Operation at Situbo, Tampilisan Zamboanga del Norte at about 9:00 o’clock in the morning of October 13, 2018.

The operation was resulted to the arrest of the suspect identified as one Vicente Bongcawil Donggoan Sr.

Said arrested person has a standing warrant of arrest for the crime of two Counts of S

tatutory Rape with criminal case number I – 6168 & I - 6169 issued by Honorable Judge Anthony D.T. Isaw, RTC9, 9TH Judicial Region, Branch 24, Ipil, Zamboanga Sibugay dated September 29, 2016 with no bail recommended for both cases.

Arrested person was duly appraised of his constitutional rights and anti-torture law and now under the custody of Tampilisan MPS for proper disposition.

Robbery Hold-Up Incident

LILOY, Zamboanga del Norte (Oct. 14, 2018) - Robbery hold-up incident occurred at Liloy Bus Terminal, barangay Baybay, Liloy, Zamboanga Del Norte at about 6:35PM of October 13, 2018.

Liloy MPS immediately responded the incident and verify the veracity of the report.

Upon arrival at the place of incident it was confirmed that the JABZ Pharmacy owned by one Gale Joy Asentista, male, 42 years old, married, businessman, and resident at barangay San Miguel, Liloy, Zamboanga del Norte was held-up by two unidentified person.

Initial investigation conducted disclosed that the unidentified suspect wearing black t-shirt and maong pants with facemask and headgear (Bull cap) enter to the said Pharmacy acted as a customer and at around 6:25pm of same date, the suspect pointed his unknown caliber pistol to the cashier Margie Pactol Manaytay, female, 43 years old, married and resident of barangay San Miguel, Zamboanga del Norte and declared hold-up.

The suspect was forcibly took a cash money amounting to more or less fifteen thousand pesos (Php15,000.00) inside the drawer, while his companion wearing white t-shirt and maong pants is waiting outside served as look out.

Thereafter, the said suspects immediately left the area going to San Jose Road, barangay Baybay, Liloy, Zambopanga Del Norte using one single motorcycle color red and the plate number cannot be determined as their getaway vehicle. 

Immediately alert team of Liloy MPS conducting hot pursuit operation for possible identification and arrest of the suspect. Investigator–On Case is PO2 Dennes Alden Piala –with CP no. 09261182533.

Farmer Held in Katipunan for Frustrated Homicide

On October 13, 2018 at about 5:30pm, PNP Personnel of Katipunan MPS arrested the person of Vincent Moreno Quitong, 35 years old, male, single, Filipino, a high school graduate and a farmer by occupation at his residence in Purok 4, Barangay Uno, Katipunan, Zamboanga Del Norte.

The accused was arrested by virtue warrant of Arrest duly signed and issued by Hon.Yolinda C. Bautista, then Presiding Judge of Branch 9, Regional Trial Court, Ninth Judicial Region, Dipolog City, Zamboanga Del Norte for “Frustrated Homicide” docketed under Criminal Case No. 12282 on June 13, 2006 with bail recommended fixed at Twenty-four Thousand (Php24,000.00) pesos for the temporary liberty of the accused.

The Accused was arrested at his residence brought and detained to Katipunan MPS for proper disposition.

Hacking Incident

DAPITAN CITY (Oct. 15, 2018) - Hacking incident occurred at Brgy Sto. Niño, Dapitan City, Zamboanga Del Norte at about 4:40 PM of October 14, 2018.

The suspect was identified as Hermie Erie Tolbo, 49 year old and a resident of said place and the victim identified as Dante Patayon Napigkit, 51 year old and a resident of Brgy San Pedro, Dapitan City.

Initial investigation conducted disclosed that prior to the incident, the victim together with Potenciano Bermudo Baro, 39 year old were having a drinking session at the store of Roel Abitona.

Later on, the suspect arrived and without any words boxed the victim and not contented the suspect hacked the victim several times hitting in the different parts of the body that caused his instantaneous death.

Cadaver of the victim was turned-over to his relatives while the suspect was arrested by the responding team.

Personnel of Dapitan CPS are still conducting follow-up investigation to determine the motive of the incident. Investigator is PO3 Nick Quimiguing with CP no. 09505634375.

Liloy MPS Hot Pursuit Operation

LILOY, Zamboanga del Norte (Oct. 16, 2018) - On October 15, 2018 at about 10:35 PM, PNP team from Liloy MPS together with personnel from Provincial Intelligence Branch of Zamboanga Del Norte PPO conducted hot pursuit operation at Barangay Overview, Liloy, Zamboanga del Norte, against the identified suspects involved for robbery incident.

The Incident was transpired last October 13, 2018 at Barangay Baybay, Liloy, Zamboanga del Norte, particularly at Liloy Bus and Food Terminal.

However, upon the arrival of the operating team at the aforementioned place, the suspect aka Roy Sultan, male, Filipino, 40-45 years old, jobless and a resident of Polandok, Leon Postigo, Zamboanga del Norte, immediately drew his .38 caliber revolver and fired towards the operating team which prompted the team to fired back and hit the suspect.

Aka Roy Sultan was immediately brought to Liloy Integrated Health District Hospital for medical treatment but the attending Physician Dra. Juvylisa S. Asentista declared him dead on arrival.

The two suspects were also arrested and further identified as Avelino Elba Lacsamana aka In-In, male, Filipino, married, 28 years old, construction worker and a resident of San Roque, Liloy, Zamboanga del Norte, and the other suspect was also identified as Neil Erick Karam Laman aka Erick, male, Filipino, married, carpenter and a resident of Upper Calarian, Zamboanga City.

Recovered from the possession and control of aka Roy Sultan were One (1) piece .38 caliber revolver without serial number, three pieces live ammunitions and Two pieces of fired cartridge case of .38 caliber revolver while recovered from the possession and control of Erick Karam Laman were One piece of .38 caliber revolver without serial number and Six live ammunitions.

Also recovered from the suspects were Two pieces of cellphones and assorted ID’s. Mr Edison Manaba Gregorio, male, Filipino, married, 44 years old, power saw operator and a resident of Barangay Overview, Liloy, Zamboanga del Norte, was also arrested for Obstruction of Justice when he interrupted the conduct of investigation.

The three suspects were positively identified by the witnesses as the perpetrator of the abovementioned incident.

Meanwhile, At around 11:30pm of same date, said PNP team successfully recovered the get-away vehicle used by the suspects during the incident at Barangay San Roque, Liloy, Zambaonga del Norte and further described as Black Kawasaki Baja without Plate Number attached.

Arrested suspects are now detained at Liloy MPS and recovered pieces of evidence are now under the custody of Liloy MPS for proper dispositions.

Reported Incident - October 10, 2018

2 Drug Suspect Arrested in Drug buy-bust operation

SALUG, Zamboanga del Norte (Oct. 10, 2018) – The Operatives of Salug Police Station in coordination with PDEA conducted drug buy-bust operation at Barangay Bacong, Salug, Zamboanga Del Norte at about 11:00pm of October 9, 2018.

The operation was resulted to the arrest of Jonny Navarete Andus, 36 years old and resident of afore-said place and his brother a certain Roberto Navarete Andus, 20 years old, and also a resident of same place. Both listed as newly identified drug personalities of Salug MPS.

Confiscated from his possession were four sachets of suspected shabu with an estimated street value of Two Thousand Pesos (₱2,000.00); 3 pcs of one hundred peso bill and One pc Two hundred peso bill as buy-bust money; nine pcs of twenty peso bill and five pcs one hundred peso bill as proceeds money.

Arrested suspect together with the confiscated items were brought to Salug MPS for proper disposition.

Top1 Most Wanted Person, Arrested in Law Enforcement

SIBUCO, Zamboanga del Norte (Oct. 10, 2018) – The Combined operatives of Sibuco Police Station in coordination with the Zamboanga City Police Office conducted law enforcement operation at Zamboanga Wharf, Zamboanga City at about 5:00pm of October 9, 2018.

The operation was led to the arrest of Nelson Sacay aka Burut, 39, male, single, farmer and a resident of Brgy Basak,Sibuco Zamboanag del Norte and a Top1 Most Wanted Person of Sibuco MPS.

The arrest suspect has a  with pending warrant of arrest issued by RTC9 Branch 27, Siocon, Zamboanga Del Norte for the crimes of Murder and Frustrated Murder docketed under Criminal Case Nos. 918 and 914, respectively.

Investigation showed that at around 5:00PM of same date, Sibuco MPS received information that the said Wanted person is travelling from Basilan province to Zamboanga City.

Immediately upon receipt of the said report, Operatives of Sibuco MPS dispatch to Zamboanga Wharf to monitor the veracity of the said report particularly where the vessels from Basilan embark.

At around 7:00pm of same date, when the vessel arrived at Zamboanga City and when the passengers depart in the ports area, walking on foot towards the exit of Ports of Zamboanga City, the team saw and positively identified the wanted person, but with unexpected tragedy as the team was about to arrest, the subject wanted person got heart attack and they immediately brought to Brent Hospital Zamboanga City together with his live-in partner.

After a several hours, subject person was declared dead by the attending physicians due to cardiac arrest.

Subject person at present is now at villa funerary veteran’s avenue Zamboanga City preparing for his proper interment thus subject cadaver was properly turned-over to his immediate family.

Robbery and Threat Incident

SIOCON, Zamboanga Del Norte (Oct. 9, 2018) - The person of Emelita Visitacion y Piedad, 49 years old, female, single, businesswoman and a resident of Barangay Poblacion, Siocon, Zamboanga Del Norte appeared Siocon MPS and reported that at about 7:30pm of October 8, 2018 allegedly she was threaten to kill and her gasoline station will be burned by the group.

The group positively were identified as the following:

Al- Gamar Bantalan y Alad-ad, 15 years old, resident of Brgy M. Francisco, Siocon;

Christian Jay Neri y Sardual, 15 years old, resident of Brgy Kilalaban, Baliguian;

Saddam Ummal y Ponding, 15 years old, resident of Brgy. S. Arabi, Siocon and one unidentified minor male individual.

Accordingly said minors were allegedly been stealing the groceries from Quinex Grocey, Refilling Station and Gas Station and was just discovered by the proprietor Emelita P. Visitacion.

Investigation to the complainant revealed that around 6:30pm of same date, the complainant noticed that some of the groceries displayed inside their store/grocery were already missing, like assorted cigarettes, noodles, soap, etc.

The complainant further added that not only grocery items were stolen but also her original “Rayban” sunglass worth Php10,000.00, one set speaker, one unit Black Samsung J cellphone with estimated worth of ₱10,000.00, one unit Samsung tablet, cash (estimated to P10,000.00).

Complainant further added that Al- Gamar and Christian Jay were her gasoline attendant and that she trusted them, but they just victimized her. Suspects gained entrance to the grocery store by destroying the door of the Quinex Water Refilling Station and then destroying the glass wall connecting the water station and the groceries.

Complainant further revealed that when she fired her two employees (Al- Gamar and Christian Jay) they threatened that they will burn the gasoline station.

Meanwhile, at about 09:30am of October 9, 2018, the above name complainant informed Siocon MPS asking for police assistance thru cellular phone call that the above name minors and other one unidentified male individual returned to Quinex Water Refilling Station and Gas Station for unknown purpose.

Immediately, alert team of Siocon MPS and RMFB9 proceeded to the reported place of incident to verify the veracity of report.

Upon reaching thereat, above name minors scampered but Al- Gamar Bantala Y Alad-Ad was then immediately taken into police custody and confiscated from his possession and control one unit Black Samsung J cellphone.

Christian Jay Neri and Saddam Ummal were also arrested during the conduct of hot pursuit operation.

Al- Gamar Bantala Y Alad-Ad admitted before the pursuing authority that some of their stolen items were already sold and only one-piece soap (silka), the speaker and only one bottle of “Emperador” were left behind and it was recovered at his dwelling at Brgy. Mateo Francisco this municipality.

Said minors were brought to Siocon District Hospital for medical and physical examination prior turned-over to Municipal Social Works and Development Office for proper disposition and appropriate diversion. Investigator on case is PO2 Siegfried M. De la Cruz with contact number 0917-766-5763.

Wanted Person Arrested in Sirawai, Zamboanga Del Norte

SIRAWAI, Zamboanag del Norte (Oct 5, 2018) – The Operatives of Sirawai MPS and Zamboanga Del Norte Provincial Mobile Force Company conducted Joint Law Enforcement Operation through service of Warrant of Arrest at Poblacion, Sirawai, Zamboanga Del Norte at6 about 4:10pm of October 4, 2018.

The operation was resulted to the arrest of Jimel Adjilaya Y Sahabi, 27 years old, married, jobless and resident of Sirawai Proper, Sirawai, Zamboanga Del Norte.

Suspect has a standing warrant of arrest for the Case of Robbery with force upon things, with Criminal Case no 2018-09-11 (1737) issued by Presiding Judge Hon. Laarni Dajao of RTC Branch 27, dated October 02, 2018.

The suspect was duly informed of his constitutional rights and was immediately brought to Sirawai Municipal Health Center for Medical Examination.

Subject was turned over to Sirawai MPS for disposition of the case and is temporarily detained at Siocon MPS prior the suspect’s commitment to Siocon Municipal Jail (BJMP). 

1 wounded in Shooting Incident

KALAWIT, Zamboanga Del Norte (Oct. 6, 2018) – One person was wounded in Shooting incident occurred at Brgy. Concepcion, Kalawit, Zamboanga Del Norte at about 7:05pm of October 5, 2018.

The victim was identified as Allan Jay Onganiza y Estra, 17 years old, male, single, construction worker and a resident of above mentioned place.

Initial investigation disclosed that at about 7:00 PM of same date, the victim was inside his house together with his live-in partner identified as Joan Agosto and his neighbor identified as Grecerio Gomez having a drinking spree when suddenly unidentified suspect surface and shot the victim once hitting on the shoulder.

After the incident, suspect fled towards Barangay San Jose, Kalawit. The victim was brought by his family to Zamboanga Sibugay Provincial Hospital, Ipil, Zamboanga Sibugay for medical treatment.

Motive of the incident is believed to be personal grudge considering that the victim was involved previously on theft incident at the municipality of Labason, Zamboanga Del Norte.

Recovered at the crime scene was one fired empty shell of 12 Shot Gun. PNP personnel of Kalawit MPS are presently conducting hot pursuit operation for the possible arrest of the suspect.

1 killed in Shooting Incident

MANUKAN, Zamboanga Del Norte (Oct. 6, 2018) – One person was killed in Shooting incident transpired at Barangay San Antonio, Manukan, Zamboanga Del Norte at about 6:10pm of October 5, 2018.

The victim was identified as Archie Nazareno Cerna, 38 years old, single, a drug Surenderer of Municipality of Roxas, Zamboanga Del Norte and a resident of Galukso, Roxas, Zamboanga Del Norte.

Accordingly, victim was having drinking liquor at the store in San Antonio, Manukan together with a certain Micheal Cabalida together with two other persons.

The victim then left on board his XRM Motorcycle going to Brgy. Dipane, Manukan where he was temporarily residing.

However, upon reaching at the grassy portion along the National Highway Brgy, San Antonio, Manukan, he was shot three times by unidentified person using  caliber .45 pistol hitting on the stomach and head portion.

Victim was brought by the populace at Manukan Medicare and Hospital, Manukan Zamobanga Del Norte but pronounce dead on arrival by the attending physician.

Recovered from the crime scene were three spent shells of caliber .45 pistols, and XRM Motorcycle.

Motive of the incident believe to be love triangle. Manukan MPS now conducting follow up investigation for the possible identification of the suspect and for filling appropriate charges in court.

RA 9165 Violator Held in Dapitan City

DAPITAN CITY (Oct. 5, 2018) – The Operatives of Dapitan City Police Station conducted manhunt operation particularly at Road 17, Brgy. Dawo, Dapitan City at about 9:00 PM of October 4, 2018.

The operation was resulted to the arrest of one Jeffrey Cayongcong Galleposo, 38 years old, male, single, resident of Purok Mauswagon, Brgy. Cawa-cawa, Dapitan City.

The accused was arrested by virtue of Warrant of Arrest issued by Presiding Judge Jose Rene G. Dondoyano of RTC, 9th Judicial Region, Branch 6, Dipolog City for Violation of Section 5 and 11, Art. II of RA 9165 docketed under Criminal Case numbers 20763 and 20764 dated October 4, 2018 without bail bond recommended (service of sentence).

Arrested suspects temporarily detained at Dapitan City Police Station for proper disposition.

Rape Suspect Arrested

DIPOLOG CITY (Oct. 5, 2018) – The operatives of Dipolog City Police Station, Zamboanga Del Norte Provincial Intelligence Branch and CIDG arrested rape suspect on October 4, 2018 at about 9:00am.

Police identified the arrested suspect person as Roland Achay Y Morales, 41 yo, male, 41 years old, married, a resident of Purok Farmers, Brgy. Olingan, Dipolog City.

The accused was arrested by virtue of a warrant of arrest for the crime of Rape Through Sexual Assault docketed in Criminal Case No. 22673, with bail bond recommended is fixed to One hundred twenty thousand pesos (Php120,000.00) for his temporary liberty.

The WOA was issued by Hon. Rogelio D. Laquihon, presiding judge of RTC, Branch 7, 9th Judicial Region, Dipolog City, dated September 24, 2018.

Police Response re- Dead Person

DIPOLOG CITY (Oct. 8, 2018) - On October 7, 2018 at about 3:30 AM, personnel of Dipolog CPS and medical personnel of 117 ambulance responded to a report that a costumer of Andrea’s Pension House located at Banicapt, Brgy Galas, Dipolog City particularly at Room No. 8 needs medical attention.

Initial investigation disclosed that at around 11am of October 6, 2018, police identified the victim as Albert Palma Pan, 35 years old, male, married together with Mary Ann Penaso Balingit, 21 years old, female, and married both residents of Brgy. Sto. Tomas, Mutia, Zamboanga Del Norte.

The victim was check-in at the said pension house. However, at around 3:00am of October 7, 2018, Mary Ann noticed that the victim Albert acted strange and believes to be suffering from incubus.

She tried to wake-up the victim but she failed to do so, immediately she asked assistance to the room boy of the said pension house.

The victim was then rushed to Corazon C. Aquino Hospital, Dipolog City on board on 117 ambulances but declared dead on arrival by the attending physician Dr. Lomel Sustento.

The cadaver of the victim now lies at Corazon C. Aquino Hospital Morgue.

1 dead in Vehicle Traffic Accident

DIPOLOG CITY (Oct. 8, 2018) – One person was killed in Vehicle traffic accident transpired at National Highway of Turno, Dipolog City at around 12:40am of October 7, 2018.

Initial investigation disclosed that at around 12:40am of October 7, 2018 a motorcycle Yamaha Mio Sporty, matte gray color, bearing temporary plate number 0901-0239060, owned and driven by Bonifacio Magcanta Mandantes, male, 24 years old, single, a resident of Isis Polanco, Zamboanga Del Norte.

He was travelling along the said road heading towards Dipolog City proper from Polanco, Zamboanga Del Norte and upon reaching at the place of incident said motorcycle encroached to opposite lane and accidentally hit a stray dog that resulted the driver to lost control of his driven motorcycle thereby causing to rammed the steel gate of the residence of Jennifer Velasco Mira.

The driver was brought to Zamboanga Del Norte Medical Center but declared dead on arrival by the attending physician.

The motorcycle was now under custody of Dipolog CPS for safe keeping. Investigator is PO1 Hermes S. Cortes with contact number 09162957973.

Suicide Incident

PINAN, Zamboanga Del Norte (Oct. 8, 2018) - Suicide incident transpired at Brgy Segabe, Pinan, Zamboanga Del Norte at about 12:40pm of October 7, 2018.

The victim identified as Prudencio Albios Dagpin Jr, 51 years old and a resident of said place.

Initial Investigation conducted disclosed at around 12:10pm of same date, the victim’s lifeless body was found by his son identified as Froilan Paruhinog Dagpin, 20 years old inside their bedroom in which a nylon rope was tied in the victim’s neck.

Further investigation revealed that prior to the incident at about 7:00am of same date; the victim and his wife had a short discussion inside their residence about financial matters and the alleged illicit affair of the victim to another woman.

Accordingly, there were already incidents that the victim will attempt to commit suicide after having discussions with his wife.

Personnel of Pinan MPS already requested Post mortem examination to the cadaver of the victim thru Dr. Ricardo Awit- Chief, Rural Health Officer of Pinan. The investigator is SPO2 Libsy G Poracan with contact number O9508020925.

1 wounded in Stabbing Incident

GUTALAC, Zamboanga Del Norte (Oct. 9, 2018) – One person was wounded in Stabbing incident transpired at about 5:00pm of October 08, 2018 at Brgy. San Roque Gutalac, Zamboanga Del Norte.

The victim was identified as one Socrates Cadungog Redondo, 30 years old, live-in partner of the suspect, thresher operator and a resident of Brgy. Osukan, Plaridel Misamis Occidental temporary residing at Brgy San Roque, Gutalac.

The suspect identified as one Gina Aliga Howa, 29 years old, single (with live-in partner) jobless and a resident of Brgy. San Roque, Gutalac, Zamboanga Del Norte.

Acted on the report immediately, Personnel of Gutalac MPS onboard PNP vehicle (Mahindra) and proceeded to the area to verify the veracity of the report at about 5:50pm of same date responding team arrived at the crime scene and upon arrival thereat, suspect voluntarily surrendered and there and then put on arrest, informed her constitutional rights and brought to Labason Hospital for Medical Examination and then brought to Gutalac MPS for proper disposition.

Initial investigation conducted disclosed that victim and suspect were living for almost one year, accordingly, prior to the incident suspect (Gina) while she was eating at their house and victim (Socrates) arrived from work believed to be under the influence of liquor, while Gina continues eating for dinner but the victim Socrates got mad to her and without apparent reason kicked her abdomen once.

Because of fear and she can’t manage herself, she saw a kitchen knife beside her and stabbed her live-in partner once hitting at the left chest.

The Victim was rushed to Labason District Hospital by the family of the suspect for medical treatment and later referred to Dipolog Hospital for the same purpose.

October 3 to 4, 2018 - Reportred Incident

1 person killed in Shooting Incident

LEON B, POSTIGO,  Zambonga del Norte (Oct. 3, 2018) – One person was killed in Shooting incident occurred at Brgy Talinga, LB Postigo, Zamboanga Del Norte at about 8:30pm of October 1, 2018.

The victim was identified as Eusebio Doyogan y Rada, 56 years old, Farmer and a resident of said place.

Initial investigation conducted disclosed that at about 8:30 in the evening of October 1, 2018, victim was sitting at the bench of their sala conversing with his wife identified as Wilsita Doyogan whom at that time was inside their bedroom, when a burst of unidentified caliber of firearm heard by the wife and when she verified, the victim was already laid down on the floor bleeding and dead.

Further, the victim was believed to be shot to death by unidentified person using a believed to be caliber .45 through the window grilled with a bamboo split where the victim was sitting at the bench, under the window.

 The victim sustained gunshot wound at the right back portion of his nape and passed through his left eye as exit wound which believed to the cause of his instantaneous death. 

The suspect then fled away towards unknown direction for its so dark night and the ZANECO power was interrupted during the incident.

Accordingly, the victim has a pending case relative to damage to property caused by his stray pig, filed in court by certain Dodo Antipuesto at Datagan, Sindangan, Zamboanga Del Norte.

On the other hand, the victim has also a pending filed complaint at the office of the Punong Barangay of Talinga, LB Postigo against Wilben Gomez who maliciously destroyed the victim’s motorcycle that transpired last June 2018.

Recovered from the crime scene was a piece of fired cartridge case (empty shell) and a fired cartridge (lead) of believed to caliber 45. 

Personnel of LB Postigo MPS are still conducting follow-up investigation for the identity and possible arrest of the suspect/s.

1 person killed in Shooting Incident

SIBUTAD, Zamboanga del Norte (Oct. 3, 2018) – One person was killed in Shooting incident transpired at Purok 5, Brgy Sipaloc, Sibutad, Zamboanga Del Norte at about 7:38PM of October 1, 2018.

The victim was identified as Nilo Banua Bagatua, 68 years old, and a resident of said place.

Investigation conducted by the responding PNP team disclosed that the victim was watching television inside his house, when suddenly an unidentified suspect arrived and shot the victim twice and after which the suspect fled away to unknown direction.

Victim sustained gunshot wounds at the back portion of his body was brought to Sibutad Municipal Hospital for medical treatment but was pronounced dead on arrival by the attending physician, Dr. Adonis P. Valmoria.

Personnel of Sibutad MPS are now conducting follow-up investigation/ operation for the identity and possible arrest of the suspect. Investigator is PO3 Rey Quimiguing with contact number-09504235152.

Drug Pusher Arrested in Siocon, Zamboanga Del Norte

SIOCON, Zamboanga del Norte (Oct. 2, 2018) – The Operatives of Siocon MPS conducted drug buy-bust operation at Siocon Public Market, Brgy. Pob, Siocon, Zamboanga Del Norte at about 5:05PM of Sept 30, 2018.

The operation was resulted to the arrest of one Roben Alid Y Maldon, 25 years old, separated, male a resident of Brgy. Suhaile Arabi, Siocon, Zamboanga Del Norte.

Likewise, a drug surrenderee last July 16, 2016 and a member of Sahibad Drug Group. Confiscated items were 1 piece plastic sachet containing Shabu, marked money and cash amounting to 1,540.00 in different denominations.

Drug Suspect Arrested in Katipunan, Zamboanga Del Norte

KATIPUNAN, Zamboanga Del Norte (Oct. 2, 2018) -  The Combined operatives of Katipunan MPS and Zamboanga Del Norte PPO-Provincial Intelligence Branch conducted drug buy-bust operation at Purok Uno, Brgy. Uno, Katipunan, Zamboanga Del Norte at about 10:30am of Sept 30, 2018.

The operation was resulted to the arrest of Joseph Ombog Y Cusil, 35 years old, of Brgy Uno Katipunan, Zamboanga Del Norte.

Confiscated items were 4 pcs sachet of Shabu, marked money, cash amounting to P1, 910.00, Cellphone and 1 unit Honda XRM 125 MC.

The Suspect now detained at Katipunan Municipa Police Station.

Govt. Employee Held in Godod, Zamboanga Del Norte for Violation of RA 10591

GODOD, Zamboanga del Norete (Oct 1, 2018) - On September 29, 2018 at about 12:05 AM, PNP personnel of Godod MPS conducted the person of Edwin Quico, 55 years old, married, government employee of Godod municipality.

Accordingly, a concerned citizen reported to the duty Police Officer that Mr. Edwin Quico was allegedly armed with caliber .45 tucked in his right-side hips.

Upon received the information the duty PNP personnel immediately responded to verify the veracity of the report.

That, upon confronting the said person, the responding team saw that he was tucking his firearm and upon asking if he has any documents to be presented of the said firearm, Mr. Quico admitted that he has no firearm license.

Said person was apprehended due to carrying an unlicensed firearm, caliber .45, with seven live ammos with serial number EAK040211, Model Nitron 1911A in violation of RA 10591.

The suspect apprehended at Godod Auditorium and Sports Arena (GASA), Poblacion Godod. He was informed his constitutional right and brought to Godod MPS for proper disposition.

Confiscated firearm was turn over to investigation section.

1 person was killed in Shooting incident

GODOD, Zamboanga del Norte (Oct. 4, 2019) - Please be informed that about 6:20pm of October 2, 2018 Personnel of Godod MPS received a cellphone from a concern citizen that accordingly there was a shooting incident transpired at Barangay Lomogom, Godod, Zamboanga del Norte.

The victim identified as NILO DAHILI y ICAO, of legal age, male, Filipino, married, Barangay Councilor and a resident at said place was shot to death by unidentified suspect/s.

The suspect/s who boarded a DT single motorcycle and fled away after the incident bound for AOR of Leon B. Postigo, Zamboanga del Norte.

Incident happened on or about 6:10pm of same date at Barangay Lomogom, Godod, Zamboanga del Norte.

Further, the distance of the place of incident more or less twelve kilometers away from Barangay Poblacion of said Municipality.

Accordingly, based on the information from Barangay Captain RENEGIO GUDMALIN of Lomogom, Godod, Zamboanga del Norte.

 Prior to the incident the victim (NILO DAHILI) was at the vicinity of his house, when suddenly one Yamaha DT 125 color Blue without Plate number motorcycle boarded with two unidentified suspects appeared and without any apparent reasons the back rider shot the victim three times hitting his head causing his untimely death.

Right after the incident, the suspects hurriedly left at the crime scene bound to Leon B. Postigo, Zamboanga del Norte.

Follow-up operation is now undertaken by Godod MPS and relayed the incident to the adjacent municipality for possible arrest of the suspects.

Furthermore, at CAA Det. at Barangay Sta Maria, Leon B Postigo ZN Joint PNP/AFP personnel of Leon B. Postigo MPS and elements of CAA & SF successfully arrested during Checkpoint operation of said place.

The arrested suspect was identified as one Norman Castillon y Callora, alias “Botoy”, 34 years old (12/21/1984) Filipino, male, single, Jobless, a native of Minglanilla, Cebu and a resident of Biray, Dinas, Zamboanga Sibugay.

He was intercepted during the conduct at the blocking check point at Sta. Maria, Leon B Postigo ZN at about 7:30pm

1 dead in Shooting Incident

SERGIO OSMEÑA, Zamboanga del Norte (Oct. 4, 2018) – One person was killed in Shooting incident transpired at Brgy. San Isidro, Sergio Osmeña Zamboanga Del Norte.

The victim identified as Jose Rey Baid Bongcawel, male, 44 years old, married, Filipino, Barangay Councilor and a resident of Brgy. San Isidro, Sergio Osmeña Sr. Zamboanga Del Norte.

Initial investigation disclosed that at about 6:30 in the evening of October 2, 2018 more or less the victim, was shot to death at his residential house situated at above mentioned place hitting in different parts of his body by eight unidentified perpetrators/assailant believed to be members of CPP/NPA.

The suspects wearing camouflage uniforms and armed with assorted long firearms believed to be M14, M16 and AK47 rifles.

1 person wounded in Hacking Incident

DIPOLOG CITY (Oct. 4, 201`8) - On or about 8:00 A.M. of October 2, 2018, one Allan Niñofranco Y Morgia, 54 years old, married and a resident of Purok Green Leaves, Brgy Sta. Filomena, Dipolog City came and voluntarily surrendered to Dipolog City Police Station after he hacked his brother.

Initial investigation conducted disclosed that 7:30am of same date he was hacked several times his brother identified as Ruben Niñofranco Y Morgia, 51 years old, married and a resident of Purok Green Leaves, Brgy Sta. Filomena, Dipolog City using sharp bolo (lagarao).

During their confrontation at said office victim together with the witness pointed and positively identified Allan Niñofranco as the same person in hacking the victim Ruben Niñofranco without sufficient reason.

The victim sustained hacked wound on his left shoulder and was advised to proceed at Zamboanga Del Norte Medical Center for medical treatment.

The suspect is now temporarily detained at Dipolog CPS pending filing appropriate charges in court while the recovered one unit sharp bolo (lagarao) measuring 22.5 inches tall believed to be the weapon used by the suspect was deposited at said police station for court exhibits.

Wanted person arrested in Law enforcement

DIPOLOG CITY (Oct. 4, 2018) - Accomplishment Report from Dpolog CPS dated October 2, 2018 about 8:45pa of October 2, 2018.

The Personnel of Dipolog CPS led by PCI Vergil Bruce D. Dario together with SPO3 Federico Lacay, SPO3 Rey Marcojos and PO1 Peter Maquincio arrested one Felipe Jaime Jr y Gumapon, 36 years of age, single, resident of Poblacion Aurora, Zamboanga del Sur, temporarily residing at Buensalida Manor, Estaka, Dipolog City.

The accused was arrested by virtue of Warrant of Arrest issued by Hon. Kenneth P. Rosal, Presiding Judge of MTCC Branch 2, Dipolog City dated September 25, 2018 docketed with Criminal Case Numbers B-64547, B-64549, B-64551, B-64554, B-64557, B-64558. The case with bail bond recommended by the court fixed at ₱24,750.00, ₱16,500.00, ₱6,000.00, ₱37,500.00, ₱6,000.00 and ₱37,500.00 respectively for his temporary liberty for violation of Batas Pambansa Bilang 22.

Suject person was arrested at Bulwagan ng Katarungan, Central Barangay, Dipolog City. Around 10:00am of same dated arrested person brought and detained to Dipolog City Police Station for proper disposition. Progress report will follow

Motorcycle Riding Suspect of Shooting Incident Captured in Dragnet Operation

LEON POSTIGO, Zamboanga Del Norte (Oct. 3, 2018) – The PNP elements of Leon Postigo MPS led by PCINSP Manolo Echem, Chief of Police conducted dragnet operation at Barangay Sta. Maria, Leon B Postigo, Zamboanga Del Norte at about 7:30 PM of October 2, 2018.

The operation were jointly conducted together with Bravo Company, 97th Infantry Battalion, Phil. Army following the shooting incident at the neighboring municipality in Godod, of this province at about 6:30pm of October 2, 2018. 

The successful operation was resulted to the arrest of one the shooting suspects identified as Norman Castillon y Callora, alias “Botoy”, 34 years old, male, single, Jobless, a native of Minglanilla, Cebu and a resident of Biray, Dinas, Zamboanga Del Sur.

Accordingly, the arrested suspect was with his companion identified as Ricky Limbaga, 40 years old, of Fatima, Liloy, Zamboanga Del Norte on board a black Yamaha DT motorcycle without plate number going to Leon Postigo, Zamboanga Del Norte after they shot and killed the victim at about 6:30pm on October 2, 2018.

The victim was identified as Nilo Dahili Y Icao, 41 years old, Barangay Councilor at Barangay Lomogom, Godod, Zamboanga del Norte

Based on the information from Barangay Captain identified as Renegio Gudmalin of Lomogom, Godod, Zamboanga del Norte that prior to the incident the victim (Nilo Dahili) was at the vicinity of his house, when suddenly one Yamaha DT 125 color Blue without Plate number motorcycle boarded with two unidentified suspects.

 The suspects without any apparent reasons the back rider shot the victim three times hitting his head causing his untimely death.

Right after the incident, the suspects hurriedly left at the crime scene bound to Leon B. Postigo, Zamboanga Del Norte

Immediately, after receiving information from the concerned citizen that the alleged suspects fled heading to Leon Postigo.

The said police station conducted dragnet operation at the above-mentioned place and was able to arrest one of the suspects, Norman Castillon. However, his companion was able to escape during the operation.

The arrested suspect is presently detained at Leon B Postigo MPS Lock-up detention cell for documentation for proper turn-over to Godod Municipal Police Station.

Meanwhile, a manhunt operation were now being conducted against the other suspect Ricky Limbaga.

As this developed, PCSUPT Emmanuel Luis D Licup, Regional Director of Police Regional Office 9 commended the PNP elements of Leon Postigo MPS, Godod MPS and AFP counterparts for immediately initiated quick response follow-up operation which led to the arrest of suspect.

The Regional Director stressed out that the successful arrest of motorcycle riding shooting suspect is the result of the involvement of the public in vital giving information relative to the incident.    

Arrest of Wanted Person

DAPITAN CITY (Oct. 4, 2018) – The PNP personnel of Daptian City Police Station conducted manhunt operation at Brgy Sulangon, Dapitan City at about 11:30AM of October 3, 2018.

The operation was resulted to the arrest of one Mark Sherwin Alingal Collados, alias “Mark Sherwin Alingal Tagapan”, alias “Sherwin Collados”, 16 years old, male, single, resident of said barangay. The suspect was included on the weekly target acquisition.

The subject person was arrested by virtue of Warrant of Arrest issued by Presiding Judge Rogelio D. Laquihon of RTC9, Branch 7, Dipolog City dated September 10, 2018 for the crime of Carnapping docketed under Criminal Case number 22654 with bail bond recommended amounting to One Hundred Eighty Thousand Pesos (P180, 000.00).

The said minor was brought to the said police station for documentation prior to its turn-over to DSWDO.

Dead Body Found

DAPITAN CITY (Oct. 4, 2018) – On October 3, 2018 at 8:45AM, a phone call from Mr. Winston Dongon, Operation Manager of Pulauan Port, Dapitan City informed Dapitan City Police Station that one passenger of MV Fast cat M6 RORO Cargo Vessel, from Dumaguete City needs a medical assistance while underway to Port of Pulauan, Dapitan City.

After receiving the said report, personnel of Dapitan CPS proceeded to Pulauan Port.

Upon arrival on the said place, the PNP Maritime, PCG, PPA, Port Police and CDRRMO are waiting for the arrival of the said vessel.

Upon docking, the team immediately boards the vessel and search for the said passenger.

The crew of the vessel guided the team to the upper deck were the passenger located. The team found the lifeless body of the passenger identified as Michelle B Taruc, 32 years old, female, a resident of Brgy San Antonio, Titay, Zamboanga Sibugay.

Initial investigation conducted by the personnel from 904TH Maritime Group of Zamboanga Del Norte and disclosed that, the subject person travelled from the Province of Tarlac going to Titay, Zamboanga Sibugay and accompanied by a certain Mr. Virgilio Baubay, 51 years old, male, resident of San Isidro, Municipality of Liloy, Zamboanga Del Norte.

While on board on the said vessel, subject person told her companion that she feel exhausted and suddenly collapsed. The crew tried to revive the subject person but she did not respond.

According to her companion, the subject person already suffered from liver cirrhosis and recently discharged from Tarlac Provincial Hospital and wanted to go home to see her mother.

Further, a post-mortem examination conducted by Dr. Rolito V. Cataluña, Dapitan City Health Officer revealed that said cadaver died due to cardiac arrest secondary to liver cirrhosis.

Several prescribed medicine were recovered from her personal belongings. The cadaver was brought to Gamalinda Funeral Homes, Dapitan City.

Top 3 Most Wanted Person

LABASON, Zamboanga Del Norte (Oct. 4, 2018) – The Operatives of Labason MPS conducted Intel driven manhunt operation against Most Wanted Person at Brgy Osukan, Labason, Zamboanga Del Norte at about 12:15pm of October 3, 2018.

The operation was led to the arrest of Madjunie Tarang y Esmael, Top3 Most Wanted Person (municipal level), male, 36years old, separated, fisherman and a resident of Sitio Bucana, Brgy Osukan, Labason, Zamboanga Del Norte.

The accused was arrested by virtue of warrant of arrest issued by Presiding Judge Oscar D. Tomarong of RTC9 Branch 28, Liloy, Zamboanga Del Norte for the crime of Rape in Relation to 7610 dockted under criminal case number L-003308 without bail bond recommended.

Subject person is now under the custody of Labason MPS for proper disposition.
