Stabbing Incident
LABASON - Stabbing incident
has transpired at Barangay Lopoc, Labason, Zamboanga Del Norte at about 3:45 PM
of April 16, 2017. The victim identified as Victoriano Pahayahay Cordero, 39
years old, who was stabbed by Luis Abatayo Salomia, 59 years old, married both
fishermen and all residents of the above-mentioned place. initial investigation
disclosed that prior to the incident, the victim under the influence of
intoxicating liquor partially destroyed the wall of his house by striking a
shovel on it which prompted the suspect to interfere by giving an advised to
stop striking the wall that resulted on a heated argument and suddenly the
victim stroke the suspect with the shovel but fortunately the suspect was not
hit. The suspect went inside his house to avoid the victim attack. However, the
victim followed him in his house and destroyed the door which prompted the
suspect to get his bolo and stabbed the victim. Victim sustained a lone stabbed
wound on his body and was brought to Labason District Hospital but was
pronounced dead on arrival by the attending physician. The suspect voluntary
surrendered to Labason MPS and presently detained for proper disposition.
Mauling Incident
DAPITAN
CITY - Be informed that at about 1:10 o’clock in the afternoon of April 14,
2017, Tissie Banguirigo nee Javierto, 61 years old female, married together
with her husband Leonilo Banguirigo y Demorca, 60 years
old, male, married and both residing at Brgy San Vicente, Dapitan City
reported to San Pedro COMPAC that their son JHOLBITH
BANGUIRIGO y JAVIERTO, 23 years old, male, single and a resident of the
same place got wild. Immediately, elements of San Pedro COMPAC led by SPO2
Noriel Bagalanon responded the said report. Initial Investigation conducted by
PO3 Alnito E. Aya-ay - Chief Investigator and disclosed that prior to the
incident, the victim is fixing the door of their house then the suspect arrived
after loitering at Pulauan Wharf and without any apparent reason, the suspect
boxed the victim (his father) hitting on his mouth then the suspect took the
hummer and struck the victim but luckily the victim evaded and run away. The
victim together with his wife request a police assistance at San Pedro COMPAC
that resulted to the immediate arrest of the suspect which now detained at
Dapitan CPS detention cell for filing of appropriate charges in court. For

Shooting Incident
SALUG
- Be informed that on or about 12:50 o’clock in the afternoon of April 14,
2017, a cellular phone call received from a concerned citizen informing Salug
MPS that there was a shooting incident occurred at about 12:45 o’clock in the
afternoon of same date at Barangay Mucas, Salug, Zamboanga
del Norte. Acting on the report, elements of Salug MPS led by PCI VEDASTO J
DASMARIÑAS III – OIC immediately proceeded to the place of incident purposely
to verify and validate the veracity of the report. Upon arrival of the
responding team at the area, the victim was found lying in prone position
infront of the house of Abas Malon.
Initial Investigation conducted disclosed that the victim was identified
as CAHAL GUMANDOL y MALON, 77 years old, married, a resident of Barangay Mucas,
Salug, ZDN that while on his way home after attending Friday Muslim Prayer
(Jumaat/Samabayang) was waylaid and shoot to death by three (3) unidentified
persons who was then wearing dust mask and wig which was later on identified as
LENDON MULOC, NURAD MULOCboth resident of Barangay Mucas, Salug, Zamboanga del
Norte and certain JONG-JONG MADALEa resident of SitioGuingayan, Barangay
Candelaria, Liloy, Zamboanga del Norte all of legal age and were all wearing
black jacket and one of those has an “ADIDAS” marking at the back and
immediately fled on foot toward the vegetated area particularly at SitioAbuno
of said barangay bound to SitioGuingayan, Liloy, Zamboanga del Norte. Suspects were identified as goons of Philip
D. Malon the Brgy Captain of Barangay Mucas, Salug, ZDN. Then and there, hot
pursuit operation was conducted for the immediate arrest of the suspects.At
about 4:00 o’clock in the afternoon of same date, Scene of the Crime Operative
(SOCO) team from Zamboanga del Norte Crime Laboratory led by PI RUBEN T SARITA,
conducted crime scene processing that resulted to the recovery of five (5)
fired cartridge cases of cal. 45 and three (3) fired bullets of cal. 45. Said recovered fired cartridge cases and
fired bullets were brought by the SOCO team to their office on or about 4:45 o’clock
in the afternoon of same date after the conduct of crime scene processing for
proper disposition. Further be informed that at about 4:45 o’clock in the
afternoon of same date, the cadaver of the victim was brought to Liloy
Integrated District Hospital, Liloy, Zamboanga del Norte for Post Mortem
examination. Afterwards, said cadaver was turned-over to his immediate family
for proper disposition. Motive of the incident was believed to be conflict of

Accidentally Falling on a Passenger

OSMEÑA - Be informed that at about 10:10 o’clock in the morning of April 15,
2017, Sergio Osmena MPS received a call from a concern citizen informing that
vehicular non-traffic accident was transpired along the national highway of
SitioTalaban, Barangay Biayon, Sergio Osmeña, Zamboanga del Norte. Upon receipt
of the report, PNP elements of said MPS responded and proceeded to the
above-mentioned place purposely to verify the veracity of said report. Initial
investigation conducted disclosed that at about 10:00 o’clock in the morning of April 15, 2017, one ROMEL SUMAYA y
CATING, 19 years old, single, male, student and a resident of Barangay
Poblacion Alto, Sergio Osmena, ZN a passenger of Bongcawil Bus with temporary
plate number 090801, registered under the name of Alberto Bongcawil, a resident
of Barangay Marapong, Sergio Osmena, ZN and driven by Amano Anyag y Paranguay,
29 years old, male, married, holder of professional driver’s license number
JOI-09-002693, also a resident of Marapong Sergio Osmena, ZN. While said
RomelSumayaya position himself at the top of the said bus traveling from Sergio
Osmena bound for Dipolog City upon reaching on said place he was accidentally
hit by a branch of a tree that causes him to fell down on the road. Victim
suffered injuries on the different parts of his body and was brought to Sergio

- Be informed that on or about 1:48 o’clock in the afternoon ofApril 15, 2017,
at Barangay Piacan, Sirawai, Zamboanga del Norte elements of Sirawai MPS led
byPI JIMMY T ABRASALDO, OIC in coordination with ZNPDEA conducteddrug buy bust
operation resulted to the arrest of one LILIAY LANTONG BALANDA(HVT level 2),54
years old, married a resident of Barangay Bongon, Siarawai, Zamboanga, del
Norte. Recovered from her possession control one (1) pc. Five hundred peso
bills (marked money), one (1) folded small aluminum foil, two (2) transparent
plastic sachets containing white crystalline granules believed to be shabu and one
(1) small plastic transparent sachet containing white crystalline granules
believed to be shabu as buy bust evidence. Inventory and markings was done in
the presence ofBrgy. Kagawad Alvarez H. Sandag of Brgy. Piacan, Sirawai, ZDN
and Media representative Miss Cecilia Dandan. Said person now detained at

- Be informedthat about 5:20 o’clock in the afternoon of April 15, 2017, Brgy.
Chairman Emeril S Adani of Brgy. Latabon, Siocon ZN reported thru cellular
phone that shooting incident transpired at SitioMalakubing of said
barangay.Immediately the alert team of Siocon MPS led by PCI JOSEPH REALES
MAULAD – OIC, together with troops from
3rd MP PPSC and 13th SF P.A proceeded to the place of incident to verify the
veracity of the report. Initial investigation conducted disclosed that prior to
the incident around 4:50 o’clock in the afternoon of same date while the victims
identified as FRANCIS ELNACIN y LACSAYAO, 51 years old, married, farmer and
certain FRANK JOY ELNACIN,25 years old, married, farmer both resident of said
placehaving a drinking session they were shot by two perpetrators identified as
OMAR SALVADORand MUHAMIN LUMIGUIS.Victim Francis Elnacin hit on his chin and at
the upper right portion of his back while the other victim hit on the upper
chest portion.After the incident said suspects fled to unknown direction while
victims were brought to Siocon District Hospital.Recovered from the crime scene
were four (4) fired cartridges believed to be from a cal. 45 pistol. Motive of
the incident was personal grudge.Siocon MPS now conducting follow-up
investigation and hot pursuit operation for immediate arrest of the suspect.

Motor Vehicle Traffic Accident
KALAWIT
- Be informed that at about 4:00 o’clock in the morning of April 16, 2017, a
motor vehicle traffic accident transpired at the intersection of Kalawit
National High School, Poblacion, Kalawit, ZN involving two (2) motorcycles
described as follows: MC1 - green, Kawasaki Fury 125CC owned and driven by CresencianoMomo
y Almodovar, 57 years old, married; and MC2 – Black Honda wave 100CC driven by Shane
Jay Tiapon, 19 years old, single with back rider Daisy Jean Francisco y
Aguinaldo 23 years old, single, all residents of said place. Initial
investigation conducted disclosed that while MC1 was traveling from Alliance
Church going to his home and upon reaching at the place of accident
(intersection) was suddenly bumped by MC2 which was also travelling from the
right road going the intersection. As a result, both MCs fell on the ground
inflicting serious injuries to all riders. Injured victims were rushed to
Kalawit Municipal Rural Health Center while both motorcycle involved were under
the custody of Kalawit MPS for proper disposition. For information.

OSMEÑA - Be informed that about 3:00 o’clock in the afternoon of April 16,
2017, a motor vehicle traffic accident transpired along the national highway of
Sitio Mamara, Brgy Venus, Sergio Osmeña, ZN wherein one gray ISUZUSPORTIVO SUV,
bearing plate number KDR 451 owned and driven by one NehimiasDelaCerna y
Labadan, 60 years old, male, retired Government employee and a resident of
Ramon Magsaysay, Zamboanga del Sur with passengers his wife Aida DelaCerna y
Silao, 61 years old, a retired teacher and their friends, a couple named IsabiloLazaga
y Vilarmino, 55 years old, and HeminiaLazaga y Olarte, 54 years old, both
residents of Tungawan, Tambulig, Zamboanga del Sur. Initial investigation
conducted disclosed that while said vehicle was travelling from Dipolog City
bound to Zamboanga Del Sur and upon reaching the place of accident, suddenly
the driver lost control of his driven vehicle that caused them to fall down in
the creek. As a result, Mr and MrsDelaCerna were seriously injured was brought
to Dipolog City for immediate medication while Mr and MrsLazaga only sustained
minor injuries were referred to S. Osmena MHO for medication. Vehicle involved

Stabbing Incident
DAPITAN
CITY - Be informed that at about 8:10 o’clock in the evening of April 16, 2017,
a stabbing incident transpired at Sunset boulevard, Sta. Cruz, Dapitan City
wherein the victims identified as HERNAN BAGSICAN y CASALTA, 34 years old,male,
married and ALFIE NARETA y MESARIO, 24 years old, male, single, both residents
of Brgy Dos, Katipunan, ZN. Initial investigation conducted by PO2 Nick
Quimiguing disclosed that prior to the incident, victims together with their
relatives were having beach party celebrating the Easter Sunday. The young
members of their relatives were gathered in the distant location for their
enjoyment, subsequently they were harassed by the group of the suspects and one
of their relative identified as CHRISTIAN LOYD MARINDOQUE y DENOY, 20 years
old, male, single and a resident of Lawa-an, BrgyDawo, Dapitan City was
allegedly pointed with a knife without justifiable reason by one of the
unidentified male persons that prompted the victims to proceed to the area to
protect their relatives but unfortunately Hernan Bagsican y Casalta was stabbed
by the suspect sustaining lone stabbed wound on his left back shoulder, while Alfie
Mesario y Casalta was also stabbed by the other suspect sustaining lone stabbed
wound on the back portion of his body. Victims were rushed to Dr. Jose Rizal
Memorial Hospital for medication and later on were discharged as out-patient
while the suspect who stabbed Hernan Bagsican y Hernan was arrested identified later
as KENT CHESTER CARREON y RUDAS, 24 years old, male, single and a resident of
ME Retiro St.Banonong, Dapitan City and the other suspect was able to evade
arrest. Personnel of Dapitan CPS are now conducting follow-up operation for the

- Be informed that on or about 4:30 o’clock in the afternoon of April 14, 2017,
a Confidential Informant (CI) informed Manukan MPS that an ongoing illegal
cockfighting is transpired at sitioBayol San Antonio. Immediately responding team led by PCI NESTOR
MOIT GANIA JR -OIC proceeded at said place. Upon the arrival of the responding
team, one Mark Chevan Enriquez y Acevedo, 32 years old, single, jobless, a
resident of the above-mentioned placeand a drug surrenderer of Manukan MPS was
arrested while the other scattered and fled away to different direction.
Confiscated from the arrested suspect a red dead fighting cock (bihag) and also
recovered from the illegal cock fighting area is one (1) red fighting cock. Suspect now temporarily detained at Manukan

DALMAN - Be informed that at about 2:00 o’clock in the afternoon of April 14,
2017, Jose Dalman MPS received a cell phone call from a Barangay Informant that
illegal cock fighting activity locally known as “TARI-TARI” transpired at
SitioInawayan, Barangay Balatakan, Jose Dalman, ZN. Immediately, elements of
Jose Dalman MPS led by PO3 Noel S. Acojedo proceeded to the said place and the
gamblers scampered to different direction to evade arrest upon sensing the
arrival of the team leaving two (2) fighting cocks with gaffs and other two (2)
fighting cocks without gaffs. Responding team brought the recovered fighting
