Shooting Incident
SIRAWAI - Shooting
incident occurred at Sitio Canipulan, Barangay Pisa Itum, Sirawai, Zamboanga
Del Norte at about 5:30 AM of April 18, 2017. Initial investigation disclosed
that, the company guard of Dacon, Sirawai, Zamboanga Del Norte encountered the
group of commander Puti Ulo at the area of Abu Jamal, an alleged member of MILF
peace panel as reported by Hon. Muri Halis Batirol, Barangay Chairman Of Pisa
Itum. A fire fight lasted for ten (10)
minutes with no casualty recorded as of this report. At about 6:00 AM of the same date, hot
pursuit operation was conducted by the naval forces against the lawless
elements.
Seajacking Incident
SIOCON - An alleged
seajacking incident has occurred somewhere the sea water of Siocon, Zamboanga
Del Norte at about 8:00 AM of April 18, 2017, wherein three (3) units of banca
onboard armed men were trying to hijack a sea vessel MV Dona Isabelle. An huey
helicopter of the AFP were directed to fly by the area for the possible
interception of the said bancas. Commander of 102nd Brigade, Commanding Officer
of 42ib, 44ib and 6 Special Forces battalion were immediately informed of the
said report and directed to alert all of their troops along the shoreline of the
area to intercept the alleged sea-jackers. The Zamboanga Del Norte PPO was
already informed of the incident and was directed to take appropriate actions
so with the Siocon MPS, Baliguian MPS And Sirawai MPS which are near the area
of the incident.
Hacking Incident
SALUG - A hacking and
stabbing incident has transpired at Barangay Caracol, Salug, Zamboanga Del
Norte at about 6:45 PM April 18, 2017. The Salug MPS found the victim
Roger Sapihi Baasa, 34 years old, single, a resident of Barangay Caracol,
Salug, Zamboanga Del Norte lying and drenched with his own blood inside the
videoke house owned by Francisco Layan Empis. Initial investigation conducted
disclosed that at about 6:40 pm of same date, while the victim together with
the suspect Reneboy Macote Sugapa, 26 years old, single, farmer, a resident of Barangay
Supit, Titay, Zamboanga Sibugay were having a drinking spree at said videoke
house a heated argument arise and the suspect stabbed and hacked the victim
hitting on the different parts of his body. after the incident the victim was
brought to Liloy Integrated District Hospital but was declared dead on arrival
by the attending physician while the suspect was arrested at Mucas Compac situated
at Barangay Mucas, Salug, Zamboanga Del Norte thru hot pursuit operation conducted
by the responding team of Salug MPS while the suspect is on his way on board on
a rural bus going to Ipil Zamboanga Sibugay. Recovered near the crime scene is
a pair of sleepers with blood stains believed to be owned by the suspect and a
maong pants with suspected blood stains placed inside a blue plastic bag being
carried by the suspect. The suspect is temporarily detained at Salug MPS detention
cell for the filing of appropriate charges in court while the cadaver was
turned-over to his immediate family for proper disposition.

Arrest of Wanted Person
JOSE DALMAN - Elements
of Jose Dalman MPS conducted manhunt operation at Barangay Siparok, Jose Dalman,
Zamboanga Del Norte at about 6:00 PM of April 18, 2017. This resulted in the
arrest of Marlon Magsalay into aka Badoy, 24 years old, single a resident of
the above-mentioned place. He was arrested by virtue of warrant of arrest for
the crime of robbery issued by Hon. Reymar L Lacaya, Presiding Judge Of RTC9,
Sindangan, Zamboanga Del Norte docketed under criminal case number s-5303 dated
march 16, 2016 with recommended bail-bond of one hundred thousand (₱100,000.00)
pesos for his temporary liberty. He is temporarily detained at said police
station for proper disposition.
Rape Suspect Nabbed
GUTALAC - A 30-year
old man was arrested for raping a 5-year old child at the victim’s residence at
Barangay Sas, Gutalac, Zamboanga Del Norte at about 6:00 AM of April 18, 2017.
The Gutalac MPS identified the arrested suspect as Ariel Oquia, 30 years old,
married, habal-habal driver a resident of Sitio Tulaksaw, Barangay Sas,
Gutalac, Zamboanga Del Norte. The incident allegedly was witnessed by the
victim’s 9-year older sister. The suspect is now temporarily detained at the
said police station for proper disposition.
