Murder Suspect Arrested

LEON POSTIGO, Zamboanga del Sur - Combined operatives of Labason Municipal Police Station led by Police Major Khisna B Asaali,

Acting Chief of Police, CIDG9, 901st company of RMFB9 and Leon B Postigo Municipal Police Station conducted manhunt operation at Brgy Poblacion, Leon B Postigo, Zamboanga del Norte at about 1:30 PM of April 29, 2019.

Police Brigadier General Emmanuel Luis D Licup, PRO9 Director identified the arrested as Nestor Lomo Jamora, 49 years old and a resident of Brgy Immaculada, Labason. He was arrested by virtue of warrant of arrest issued by Judge of branch 28, RTC 9th Judicial Region, Liloy, dated April 11, 2019 for the crime of Murder with Criminal Case no. L-003653 with No bail recommended.

Arrested wanted person is now detained Labason MPS for proper disposition.

2 Arrested in Zambo Norte for the Crime of Rape and Homicide

TAMPILISAN., Zamboanga del Norte - A lifeless female body was found inside the nipa hut owned by Bobby Cubio situated at Brgy Sto Nino, Tampilisan, Zamboanga del Norte at about 9:00 PM of April 29, 2019.

Police Brigadier General Emmanuel Luis D Licup, PRO9 Director identified the victim as a 19 –year old female named Jonnah, a resident of Brgy Bangco, Titay, Zamboanga Sibugay and the suspects identified as Michael Buendia Jatico, 22 years old, and Wenchester Pagador Cubio, 23 yo, both residents of Brgy Poblacion, Tampilisan, Zamboanga del Norte. 

Investigation revealed that prior to the incident at about 6:30 PM of same date, the victim together with the two (2) suspects were seen riding a Honda Wave motorcycle going the said nipa hut and once inside, the suspects sexually abused the victim and after which, they killed the latter by tying a rope in the neck.

Responding team brought the cadaver of the victim to Liloy District Hospital for further post mortem examination. 

Meanwhile, the suspects were arrested by the Tampilisan MPS and now detained at said police station for proper disposition.

Fire Incident

RIZAL, Zamboanga del Norte - Fire incident occurred at Brgy Nasipang, Rizal, Zamboanga del Norte at about 7:00 AM of April 29, 2019, wherein six (6) Residential Houses owned by Solidad Tingas, Editha Suan, Jacinto Maravillo, Cresencia Tan were razed to the ground.

The Bureau of Fire of Rizal responded on the said fire incident and the cause of Fire still under investigation by Rizal BFP.

No reported fatality and the estimated damage was more or less P530, 000.00

Murder Suspect Arrested

DAPITAN CITY - Police operatives of Dapitan City Police Station have arrested a wanted person at Gawad Kalinga Brgy. Sulangon Dapitan City at about 1:30 PM of April 28, 2019.

Police Brigadier General Emmanuel Luis D Licup, PRO9 Director identified the arrested person as Edwin Aliabo, 33yo, single and a resident of Brgy. Canlucani, Dapitan City.

He was arrested by virtue of warrant of arrest issued by Presiding Judge Oscar D. Tumarong of RTC 9 Branch 8, Bulwagan Dipolog City dated November 6, 2014 for the crime of Attempted Murder docketed under Criminal Case Number 18802 with bail bond remmended amounting to One Hundred Twenty pesos (P120, 000.00) for his temporary liberty.

The arrested suspect is now under the custody of Dapitan CPS for proper disposition.

Man Held for the Crime of Attempted Murder

SIBUTAD, Zamboanga del Norte - Police operatives of Sibutad Municipal Police Station, Iligan City Police Station 2 and Bacolod Municipal Police Station, Lanao del conducted joint manhunt operation in Purok 4, Brgy Magsaysay, Sibutad, Zamboanga del Norte at about 2PM of April 27, 2019.

Police Brigadier General Emmanuel Luis D Licup, PRO9 Director said the operation was resulted to the arrest of Mike Sumondong Quinoñes, 24 years old, single and a resident of Lalab 1, Brgy. Libay, Sibutad, Zamboanga del Norte.

He was arrested by virtue of Warrant of Arrest issued by Judge Alberto P. Quinto of RTC12, Branch 1, Iligan City dated May 31, 2016 for the crime of Attempted Murder docketed under Criminal Case Number 19100 with bail bond recommended amounting to One Hundred twenty Thousan pesos (Php120, 000.00) for his temporary liberty.

Said accused is now under the custody of Sibutad MPS.

Top 3 Most Wanted Person Arrested

LEON POSTIGO, Zambo Norte - Police operatives of Leon Postigo Municipal Police Station conducted manhunt operation in San Pedro, Laguna at about 11:50 AM of April 27, 2019.

Police Brigadier General Emmanuel Luis D Licup, PRO9 Director said the operation was resulted to the arrest of the Top 3 Most Wanted Person of Leon Postigo Municipal Police Station identified as Leo Baguioso Badiao 29 y/o, single, a native of barangay Mawal, Leon B. Postigo and a construction worker of GSIS Holiday Hills San Pedro Laguna.

He was arrested at GSIS Holiday Hills San Pedro Laguna by virtue of Warrant of Arrest issued by Judge of RTC9 Branch 11, Sindangan dated March 6, 2019 for the crime of Frustrated Murder docketed under Criminal Case Nr S-5724 with bail bond recommended amounting to Two Hundred Thousand pesos (Php200,000.00).

The accused is now transported towards Leon B. Postigo MPS.

Rape Suspect Captured in Zambo Norte

LILOY, Zamboanga del Norte (April 27, 2019) - Police elements of Titay Municipal Police Station conducted Manhunt Operation at Brgy Maigang, Liloy, Zamboanga del Norte at about 7:30 PM of April 26, 2019.

Police Brigadier Gen Emmanuel Luis D Licup, PRO9 Director said the operation was resulted to the arrest of Arturo Pedrosa, male, married, 62 years old and a resident of Barangay Lawagan, Titay, Zamboanga Sibugay.

The arrest was made by virtue of Warrant of Arrest for the crime of Statutory Rape docketed in Criminal Case Nr. I-7225 issued by Presiding Judge RTC Branch 24, 9th Judicial Region, Ipil, Zamboanga Sibugay with No Bail Recommended.

Arrested person was brought to Titay MPS for proper disposition.

April 23-25, 2019 Reported Incident in the municipalities of Zamboanga del Norte

Wanted Man Cuffed in Dipolog City

DIPOLOG CITY (April 25, 2019) - Police operatives of Dipolog City Police Station and CIDG conducted joint manhunt operation in Brgy. Minaog, Dipolog City, Zamboanga del Norte at about 10:00 AM of April 24, 2019.

The operation resulted to the arrest of Rey Anghag Adriatico 42 years old, married, farmer and a resident of Purok Parpagayo, Brgy. Minaog, Dipolog City.

He was arrested by virtue of Warrant of Arrest issued by Judge Kenneth P. Rosal of MTCC, 9th Judicial Region, Branch 2, Dipolog City dated April 5, 2019 for Violation of City Ordinance 107 docketed under Criminal Case Numbers B-60347 & B-60349 with bail bond recommended amounting to One Thousand Pesos (P1, 000.00) each case for his temporary liberty.

He was brought to Dipolog CPS for proper disposition.

Man Arrested for Gun Ban Violation

SINDANGAN, Zamboanga del Norte (April 25, 2019) - A 24-year old man was arrested by PNP elements of Sindangan MPS led by Police Major Domingo S Murillo II during follow-up operation after he was caught in the act in possession of 38 Caliber pistol at Barangay Pangalalan, Sindangan, Zamboanga del Norte at about 3:00 AM of April 25, 2019.

Police Brigadier Gen. Emmanuel Luis D Licup, PRO9 Director identified the suspect as Neilboy Cardiente Balabagan, 24 years old, single and a resident of said place.

He will be charge for violation in relation to COMELEC Resolution no. 10446, sec 261 of the Omnibus Election Code Art XXII, Sec 32 of RA 7166.

Suspect and the confiscated item are now under the custody of said police station for proper disposition.

Robbery Suspect Arrested in Zambo Norte

PIÑAN, Zamboanga del Norte (April 25, 2019) - Police operatives of Pinan Municipal Police Station, 901st Company of RMFB9, CIDG, Highway Patrol Group and Zamboanga del Norte PPO-Intel Branch thru Intel driven operation conducted manhunt operation at Purok Antorium Brgy Poblacion North, Pinan, Zamboanga del Norte at about 8:22 AM of April 25, 2019. 

Police Brigadier Gen. Emmanuel Luis D Licup, PRO9 Director said the operation resulted to the arrest of one John Peter Sales y Patong, 18 years old, single, and a resident of Purok Antorium Barangay Poblacion North, Pinan.

He was arrested by virtue of Warrant of Arrest issued by Presiding Judge of Branch 9, Dipolog City dated April 12, 2019 for the crime of Robbery docketed in Criminal Case no. 23041 with bail recommended 120,000.00 Pesos.

The Regional Director lauded the operating units for a job well done.

Several FAs Seized in Implementation of Search Warrant

DIPOLOG CITY (April 26, 2019) - Combined operatives of CIDG9 led by Police Lt. Colonel Arwyn D Gaffud and Dipolog City Police Station led by Police Lt. Kent B Gudmalin Implemented Search Warrant no. 04-228-019, dated April 22, 2019, issued by Judge of Branch 8, 9th Judicial Region, Dipolog City at South Baybay, Brgy. Galas, Dipolog City, Zamboanga del Norte at about 12:30 PM of April 25, 2019.

The operation was conducted particularly at the compound of Pablito Reloya Almirol, 67 years old.

Police Brigadier Gen. Emmanuel Luis D Licup, PRO9 Director said the operation the operation led to the arrest of the suspect and confiscation of ammunitions and un renewed firearms, to wit:

Man Arrested in Zambo Norte COMELEC Checkpoint

DIPOLOG CITY (April 26, 2019) - Police personnel of Zamboanga del Norte Provincial Mobile Force Company led by PLT Jose Renault A Tan conducted COMELEC checkpoint operation along the national highway of Brgy Sicayab, Dipolog City, Zamboanga del Norte at about 9:20 AM of April 25, 2019.

Police Brigadier Gen. Emmanuel Luis D Licup, PRO9 Director said the operating team were able to apprehend Visande Pactol Fiñeza, 45, a resident of Brgy Olingan, Dipolog City for failure to present exemption order from COMELEC based on COMELEC Resolution 10496.

Confiscated from his possession and control were the following:

One (1) unit cal. 38 with defaced serial number,

Twenty-four (24) pcs live ammo for cal. 38,

Eight (8) pcs live ammo for cal. 45,       

One (1) AFP ID (expired),

One (1) unit Black Bajaj Motorcycle model CT-100 bearing plate nr DUZCWJC21904, owned by the suspect,

One (1) camouflage sling bag and

One (1) camouflage lousy hat.

Arrested person and the confiscated items were brought to Dipolog CPS for proper disposition.

The Regional Director commended the police operation units for a job well done.

Fire Incident

SERGIO OSMEÑA, Zamboanga del Norte (April 23, 2019) - Fire incident transpired at Brgy. Biayon, Sergio Osmeña, Zamboanga del Norte at about 3:14 PM of April 22, 2019.

Initial investigation further disclosed, that at about 10:50 AM of April 22, 2019 one Simon Colot Mag-abo, 78 years old, married, farmer and a resident of Brgy. Biayon, Sergio Osmeña, Zamboanga del Norte dried the copra owned by Consolatres Mag-abo Limare, 75 years old, married, farmer and a resident of said place.

Accordingly, while Simon Colot Mag-abo dried his copra on the coconut dryer made of light materials he left for a minute to climb a coconut tree and when he came back he noticed that there was thick black smoke on the one side portion of the dyer, in just a minute said smoke turns into simultaneous fire they tried to extinguished the said fire but it’s too late.

Bureau of Fire Protection of Dipolog City responded and successfully controlled the fire at about 12:20 o’clock in the afternoon more or less of same date. Estimated total cost amounting to sixty thousand pesos (₱60,000.00) more or less (five sacks of corn grains and twenty-six sacks of copras)

Man Arrested for Mauling his Wife, Samurai and FA Seized in His Possession

DAPITAN CITY (April 22, 2019) - On April 21, 2019 at about 8:55 PM, a 20-year old female named Beverly a resident of Brgy Sto. Niño, Dapitan City reported to Dapitan City Police Station that she was harassed and threatened by his husband identified as Tirso Morandilla Bundaog, 40 years old, married, a resident of Tamilokan, Katipunan, Zamboanga del Norte who was armed with a Samurai at Brgy Sto. Niño, Dapitan City.

Immediately, alert team of Dapitan City Police Station proceeded to the reported place to respond and verify the said report.

Upon arrival thereat, the suspect was caught in the act by the responding team in possession of the following deadly weapons:  

One (1) Samurai measuring Thirty-six (36) inches long including the handle,

One (1) red backpack,

One (1) unit improvised homemade shotgun with 5 live ammos,

One (1) icepick; and

One (1) unit Honda CV motorcycle bearing temporary plate number 09106-66430.

Meanwhile, at about 9:20 PM of same date, the arrested suspect and the confiscated items was brought at Dapitan City Police Station for proper disposition.

April 18-20, 2019 Incident Reports in Zamboanga del Norte

Hacking Incident

DIPOLOG CITY (April 20, 2019) - On April 18, 2019 at about 11:30 PM, Dipolog City Police Station personnel led by Police Master Sargent Meyric Maguinsay turned-over the living body of one Ervin Rey Dulang Jocson, 40 years old, male, married and a resident of Purok Anahaw, Galas, Dipolog City.

Said person was the suspect of an alleged hacking incident transpired at Purok Anahaw, Galas, Dipolog City wherein the victim one Jose Rexter Ajero Bastillada, 45 years old, male, single and a resident of Purok Anahaw, Galas, Dipolog City who was brought to Zamboanga del Norte Medical Hospital for medical treatment.

Immediately, investigator of Dipolog CPS went to the said hospital. Interview conducted to the victim and revealed that at around 11:00 in the evening of April 18, 2019 he was at their residence together with his sister Marifel Jocson having a heated argument.

He avoided his sister thru going to his room but was then followed by her while uttering and push him at his chest which prompted him to push her back.

Further alleged by the victim, the suspect Ervin Rey Jocson husband of his sister Marifel Jocson upon seeing her wife being pushed-back by him went to the kitchen to get a bolo knife and rushed towards Jose Rexter Bastillada.

He was hack by the suspect several times that resulted to his injuries at different parts of his body. He was then brought by an ambulance to Zamboanga del Norte Medical Center for medical treatment. Suspect is now under the custody of Dipolog CPS.

Alleged Suicide Incident

SIBUCO, Zamboanga del Norte (April 20, 2019) - An alleged suicide incident transpired at Cawit-Cawit Detachment under 42nd Infantry Battalion, Alpha Company of Phil Army, Brgy. Cawit-Cawit, Sibuco, Zamboanga del Norte at about 4:00 PM of April 18, 2019.

The victim was identified as one Jemson Francisco Majabo, 26, single, bonafide member of CAFGU under 42nd IB, and a resident of Brgy. Anongan, Sibuco, Zamboanga del Norte.

Based on the initial investigation conducted and according to some witness thereat, the victim place the muzzle of his issued M16 firearm in his mouth and then pulled the trigger which the bullet exited on his head that caused his instantaneous death.

Other angle is being investigated by Sibuco MPS for a possible foul play.

Rape Suspect Arrested

ROXAS, Zamboanga del Norte (April 20, 2019) - A 44-year old man was arrested by police operatives of Roxas Municipal Police Station, Baliangao Municipal Police Station and CIDG-Zamboanga del Norte during manhunt police operation at Purok 5, Brgy Langatian, Roxas, Zamboanga del Norte at about 12:00 noon of April 18, 2019.

Police Brigadier General Emmanuel Luis D Licup, PRO9 Director identified the arrested as Rickey Salac Egot, 44 years old, male, born on August 16, 1974 at Baliangao, Misamis Occidental, married, Elementary Level, Sawyer (Gabasero) and a resident of Punta Miray, Baliangao, Misamis Occidental.

He was arrested by virtue of Alias Warrant of Arrest issued by Presiding Judge Ruben RA. Cagas, RTC10 Branch 36, Calamba, Misamis Occidental dated March 27, 2007 for the Crime of Rape docketed under Criminal Case No. 504 with no bail recommended. He is temporarily detained at Roxas MPS for documentation and will be brought to Baliangao MPS for proper disposition.

2 Died in Road Crash Accident

DAPITAN CITY (April 20, 2019) - A road crash accident occurred at Sitio Tutua, Brgy Sulangon, Dapitan City at about 2:30 PM of April 17, 2019, wherein a gray Hi-ace Van with two (2) passengers inside, lost control and fell into the cliff beside the road and submerged in the river.

Immediately, personnel of Dapitan CPS together with the personnel of CDRRMC and Coastguard proceeded to the area to conduct search and rescue operation.

Moments later, the team recovered the victims identified as Meguilito Quizo Hamoy, 45 yo, a resident of Brgy Potungan, Dapitan City and Leo Macion Recososa, 30 yo, male, a resident of Galas, Dipolog City.

Both victims were brought by the CDRRMC Ambulance to Jose Rizal Memorial Hospital, Brgy Dawo, Dapitan City but was declared dead on arrival by the attending physician.

Investigation conducted disclosed that the said vehicle was driven by Leo Macion Recososa traversing the national highway from Dipolog City going to Brgy Potungan, Dapitan City on a high speed and upon reaching at the place of incident particularly at the curve lane, the driver lost control of his driven vehicle and bump on the side railings on the opposite lane.

The vehicle then fell into the cliff and submerged into the river. Cadavers of the victims were turned-over to their relatives for disposition.

Hacking Incident in Zambo Norte

BALIGUIAN, Zamboanga dl Norte (April 20, 2019) - Hacking incident transpired at Barangay Alegria, Baliguian Zamboanga del Norte at about 6:05 PM of April 19, 2019, perpetrated by suspect identified as Lowe Torayno Edpalina, 31 years old, married and a resident of said place.

The victim was identified as Aguilardo Muyag Talaid, 45 years old, married, farmer and a resident of same place who sustained hack wound on his waist. Accordingly, prior to the incident, both victim and suspect were having a drinking spree at the house of the suspect and heated argument ensued between the two that resulted to the said incident.

The victim was brought to Baliguian Rural Health Unit for medical treatment. Meanwhile, the suspect was immediately arrested by Barangay Officials.

He is now temporarily detained at Baliguian MPS filing of appropriate charges in court.

Strafing Incident in Zambo Norte

SINDANGAN, Zamboanga del Norte (April 20, 2019) - Strafing incident occurred at Barangay La Concepcion, Sindangan, Zamboanga del Norte at about 12:30 AM of April 20, 2019, particularly at the house of Crispin Enojardo Taruc Sr, 56 years old, married resident of said place, perpetrated by unidentified persons on board on a black pick-up truck.

Investigation conducted disclosed that at about 11:40PM of April 19, 2019 while Crispin Enojardo Taruc Sr was in his kitchen drinking a glass of water he heard a motor vehicle coming from Barangay RG Macias, Sindangan, Zamboanga del Norte stop in front of his house and subsequently heard five (5) gunshots hitting the attic of his house twice.

Right after the incident, the motor vehicle hurriedly accelerated heading towards Barangay Poblacion, Sindangan. Based on the testimony of a witness, she heard the gunshots she hurriedly opened the window of her house and saw a black pick-up truck coming from the house of Crispin Enojardo Taruc Sr which was travelling very fast heading towards Poblacion, Sindangan, Zamboanga del Norte.

Five (5) pieces fired cartridge cases of 5.56mm was turned-over by Crispin Enojardo Taruc Sr to the police after he recovered outside the perimeter fence of his house. Police Brigadier Gen. Emmanuel Luis D Licup, PRO9 Director ordered the Sindangan MPS to conduct follow-up investigation for the identification and possible arrest of the suspects.

April 16, 2019 Incident Reports

Road Crash Accident

SIRAWAI, Zamboanga del Sur (April 16, 2019) - An alleged vehicular incident transpired along the National road of Barangay Tapanyan, Sirawai, Zamboanga del Norte at about 4:30 PM of April 15, 2019. The accident was involving two (2) motorcycle.

Initial investigation conducted by the responding PNP Team disclosed that one unit single motorcycle Skygo King 150 color black with no plate number attached driven by Haber Baral y Samlani, 23 years old, male, single, a resident of Barangay Culasian, Sirawai ZN with back rider identified as Abdulsalam Baral, of legal age, male and a resident of Barangay Culasian, Sirawai Zamboanga del Norte accidentally hit to one unit Honda XRM plate no. 9156 SA driven by Tandual Tanjong, 40 years old, married with back riders identified as Jumah Mahari and Sawaldi Balahim, both of legal age, and all residents of Barangay Piacan, Sirawai, Zamboanga del Norte.

Driver of Skygo King 150 Haber Baral y Samlani was died on the spot while four others involved on the incident sustained injuries on different parts of their bodies were brought to Sirawai Rural Health Unit and later reffered to Zamboanga City Hospital for medical attention.

Involved motorcycles were brought to Sirawai MPS for proper disposition.

April 15, 2019 Reported incident in Zamboanga del Norte

1 person died in Shooting Incident

LILOY, Zamboanga del Norte (April 15, 2019) – One person was  killed in Shooting incident transpired at Brgy. Baybay, Liloy, Zamboanga Del Norte at around 6:20 PM of April 14, 2019.

Immediately, personnel of Liloy MPS responded to verify the veracity of the said report, upon arrival at the crime scene the victim was already rushed to Liloy Integrated District Health Hospital, then the crime scene was surrounded by civilians and upon revelation of witnesses they described the description of the unidentified suspects boarding a single Honda scooter motorcycle who ran away towards direction of National Highway Baybay Liloy going to Salug, Zamboanga Del Norte.

Liloy Municipal Police Station now conducted hot pursuit operation and crime scene processing and able to recover six (6) pieces of fired cartridge case of cal. 45.

Initial investigation disclosed, the victim identified as Percita Timtim Arances, 47 years old, female, single, a resident of Brgy. Lamao, Liloy, Zamboanga Del Norte.

Accordingly, the victim loiter at her Yamaha Mio motorcycle for a while along the side of the road while she awaits her son identified as Brian Arances Vallespin, 11 years old, male, who bought a viand at the carenderia near Palawan pawnshop when suddenly a riding in tandem two (2) unidentified male persons arrived and the backrider shoot the victim using caliber 45 pistol that resulted her to fell down on the road and fired again several times then fled towards direction of National Highway going to Salug, Zamboanga Del Norte.

Upon revelation of the witnesses, the driver worn a gray jacket, with mask (bonet), wearing pants and his back rider (Gun man) worn a short pants color gray with jacket and cap.

Upon arrival of the victim in the hospital it was later declared dead by attending physician Dr Juvylisa Asentista. The victim sustained five (5) gunshot wound of the abdomen, one (1) of the chest and one (1) of the right knee.

Personnel of Liloy MPS continue the conduct of hot pursuit operation and investigation for the possible identification and arrest of the suspects, and further determine the motive of shooting.

HVT Drug Suspect Busted

DIPOLOG CITY (April 15, 2019) - On April 14, 2019 at about 3:00 PM, Joint elements of PDEA Zamboanga del Norte Provincial Office, Regional Drug Enforcement Unit (RDEU) led by PLTCOL Stephen Daang and Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit (PDEU) led by PMAJ Romar Victoriano Lim conducted buy-bust operation at Brgy. Miputak, Dipolog City.

The operation was successful which resulted to the arrest of Jose Ian Pulido y Montallana alias “Travis/Ian”, 27 years old, a resident of Capitol Avenue, Brgy. Estaka, Dipolog City, considered Top 6 in PDEA Zamboanga del Norte target list and Top 4 in Zamboanga del Norte PPO –Intel Branch target list.

Confiscated during the operation were: one (1) pc. small heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing white crystalline substance believed to be shabu (Object of Sale) and three (3) pcs. small heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing white crystalline substance believed to be shabu (possession).

Confiscated non-drug evidence were: two (2) pcs. of 500 subscribed buy-bust money with serial numbers LZ802817 and GM387943, one (1) pc.

City Health ID Card, one (1) pc. jacket, one (1) pc face towel and one (1) pc. hairnet. The total estimated street value of confiscated drug evidence is Php 4,000.

Cases for violation of Section 5 and Section 11 of Art II of RA 9165 are being prepared for filing in court against the suspect.

Hacking Incident

MUTA, Zamboanga del Norte (April 15, 2019) - Hacking incident transpired at Brgy. Sto.Tomas, Mutia, Zamboanga del Norte at about 7:00 PM of April 14, 2019.

Initial investigation conducted disclosed that the suspect identified as one Eugene Abapo Hamoy, 40 years old, male, and a resident of said palce together with his brother Jacky and the victim Jonas Abapo Hamoy of legal age, male, single, construction worker, high school level were having drinking spree in the residence of Jacky.

Accordingly, at about 6:45PM of same date, the suspect mauled his live-in partner Jennelyn Padayogdog Andales, 46 years old, female, High School level, employed as personal assistant but his brother Jonas pacify him and hack Jonas hitting his left foot.

Suspect was immediately arrested by the responding team and recovered from possession and control of the suspect one [1] bolo measuring 18 inches including the wooden handle.

Suspect was temporarily detained at Mutia MPS for proper disposition and filing appropriate charges.

Stabbing Incident

DIPOLOG CITY (April 14, 2019) - Stabbing incident at Brgy Dicayas, Dipolog City, Zamboanga del Sur at about 4:30 PM of April 13, 2019, perpetrated by suspect identified as Alona Tano Silay, 36 years old, female.

The victim was identified as Jose Balwit Daujela, 53 years old, both residents of said place.

Investigation conducted disclosed that while the suspect and the victim together with other relatives were having lunch at the house of Teresita Rio Siong, 61 years old, of said place, when suddenly the suspect without any apparent reason stabbed the victim once hitting the chest.

Victim was brought at ZANORTE Medical Center, Sicayab, Dipolog City but was declared dead on arrival by the attending physician while the suspect was arrested by the responding team from Dipolog City Police Station and now detained at Dipolog CPS for proper disposition.

Motor Vehicle Traffic Incident

LILOY, Zamboanga del Norte (April 14, 2019) - Vehicular accident occurred along the National Highway of Brgy Timan, Liloy, Zamboanga del Norte at about 12:40 PM of April 13, 2019 involving two (2) vehicles described as follows:

Veh1 - Isuzu Ten Wheeler Truck, Fish Carrier, bearing Plate Number RJC417, owned by Jordan Fishing Corporation and driven by Marlon Nesnia Egot, male, 55 yo and a resident of Brgy Mampang, Zambonga City; and

Veh2 – Black/gray Kawasaki Baja MC owned and driven by Pablito Taborada Sotabento, 51 yo with two (2) back riders a 10-year old and 8 year old female minors., all residents of Brgy Dela Paz, Liloy, Zamboanga del Norte.

Investigation conducted disclosed that both vehicles were running in the same direction upon arrival at the place of incident, veh2 suddenly swerved to the right lane of the road which resulted to the collision of both vehicles.

As a result, all riders of veh2 sustained injuries in different parts of their bodies. Victims were brought to Liloy District Hospital for medication but the driver Pablito Sotabento was declared dead on arrival by the attending Physician Joseph Lim while both vehicles are now impounded at Liloy MPS for proper disposition.

Top 9 High Value Target Drug Suspect, Nabbed in Dipolog City

DIPOLOG CITY (April 14, 2019) - Drug Enforcement Team of Dipolog City Police Station led by Police Lieutenant Kent B Gudmalin in coordination with PDEA conducted drug buy-bust operation at Purok Malayan 1, Sta. Filomena, Dipolog City at about 11:26 PM of April 13, 2019.

Police Brigadier Gen. Emmanuel Luis D Licup, PRO9 Director identified the arrested suspect as Richie Saycon Sultan Alias “Archie Sultan”, Top 9 High Value Target [HVT] Drug Personality City Level, 26 years old, single, jobless and a resident of Purok 8, Biasong, Dipolog City.

Confiscated from the suspect were

five (5) pieces big size Heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing white crystalline granules believed to be shabu;

four (4) pieces small Heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing white crystalline granules believed to be shabu,

Five Hundred Peso (Php500.00) bill bearing serial number TB752388 as buy-bust money,

two (2) pieces Five Hundred Peso (Php 500.00) bills as proceeds money,

one (1) piece empty Marlboro Cigarette pack color green and black served as container of the shabu and

one (1) unit Nokia Cellular phone with battery and sim card color black.    

Estimated street value of confiscated illegal drugs (shabu) amounting to Two Hundred Fifty Thousand Pesos (Php 250,000.00).

Arrested suspect and confiscated items are now under the custody of Dipolog City Police Station for proper disposition.

April 8-9, 2019- Reported Incident in Zamboangan del Norte

1 person died in Road Crash Accident

SINDANGAN, Zamboanga del Norte (April 10, 2019) - One person was was died in Vehicular Non-Traffic Accident transpired along the National Highway of Barangay Goleo, Sindangan, Zamboanga del Norte particularly at Goleo Bridge on April 7, 2019 at about 8:30PM,

 The accident was involving one Rusi MC, color black and blue combination, No plate number attached and No pertinent documents which was driven by Wilbert Andahan Cruz, 20 years old, male, single, Filipino, and a resident of Barangay Lower Inuman, Sindangan, ZN, with no Driver’s License.

While travelling from Brgy. Lower Inuman heading to Brgy. Poblacion Sindangan, Zamboanga del Norte in speedy motion with no headlights on.

Upon reaching at the place of incident, the said driver was slide on the concrete barricade of the bridge that resulted him of losing control of the steering handle of MC and slammed his head on the barricade and fell down the road which was resulted him to sustained serious physical injuries.

Driver was immediately brought by MDRRMC Rescue Vehicle to Sindangan District Hospital for medication but it was pronounced dead on arrival by the attending physician Dr. Nida Ramos. Further, the driver was under the influence of liquor.

Rusi MC is now temporarily impounded to Sindangan MPS for verification and proper disposition.

1 person killed in Hacking Incident

ROXAS, Zamboanga del Norte (April 10, 2019)  - One person was killed inHacking incident transpired at Sitio Pulao, Barangay Lipakan, Roxas, Zamboanga del Norte at about 7:25PM of April 7, 2019.

The victim was identified as Genes Tanaga Mondol aka Bolantoy, 33 years old, single, male and a resident of Brgy Capase, Roxas Zamboanga del Norte ho was hacked by suspect identified as Alex Mondol Pajuay, 30 years old, male, single, farmer, a resident of Brgy Capase, Roxas, Zamboanga del Norte.

Initial investigation disclosed that prior to the incident the victim and the suspect were having a drinking spree and a heated arguments ensued between the duo resulted to the said incident.

The victim sustained multiple hack wounds in different parts of his body that resulted to his death.

The suspect was turned-over to Roxas MPS by his brother, Robert M. Pajuay, Tanod of Brgy Capase together with the bolo used in the incident.

LEON B. POSTIGO, Zamboanga del Norte (Aapril 10, 2019) – Police personnel of Leon Postgo Municipal Police Station led by Police Lieutenant Najib B. Alip with together with Bantay Dagat Miller B. Caballero, Johnny S Guansing and Jether B. Lipapac conducted seaborne patrol at the municipal sea water of Leon B. Postigo, Zamboanga del Norte at about 10:30 PM of April 8, 2019

The operating team was conducted seaborne patrol and check the fishing permits of the fishing boat who engage fishing and fishing inside the Fish Sanctuary of Manil, Leon B. Postigo, Zamboanga del Norte.

The operation was led to the apprehension of Fishing Boat F/B Jecel owned by Celestino Yosores Zozobrado, 50 years old, male, Filipino, married and a resident of same place. with three (3) crews namely:

Edgardo Elogsong Pacatang aka Nonoy, 52 years old, married, Grade II, Master Fisherman,

Ariel Garcia Pacatang, 22 years old, married, grade IV and

Junbert Garcia Pacatang aka Gong Gong, 20 years old, single, grade III and all residents of Talinga, Sindangan, Zamboanga del Norte who engage illegal fishing inside (Fishing Without Permit) at the municipal fish sanctuary (Marine Protective Area) of Manil of said municipality and Mesh size violation (Fish Net) which are violation of the Municipal Fishery Code No. 06-02 of said municipality.

Subject persons are temporarily released while their Fishing Boat and fishing gears are under the custody of the Bantay Dagat and OMA Fisheries staff of Leon Postigo.

Big-Time Drug Pusher Nabbed, Php500 Thousand Worth of Shabu Seized in Dipolog City Drug Bust

DIPOLOG CITY (April 10, 2019) – Big-time drug pusher was arrested while Php500 Thousand worth of Shabu seized during drug buy bust operation carried out by Police operatives of Dipolog City Police Station led by Police Lieutenant Kent B Gudmalin at Purok Guava, Magsaysay St., Miputak, Dipolog City at about at about 4:00 PM of April 8, 2019.

The operation was conducted particularly at the abandoned house owned by Mr. Ronald Barbaso in front of Citas Eatery.

Police Brigadier General Emmanuel Luis D Licup, PRO9 Director identified the arrested pusher as Frederick Paluca Reyes Alias “Barok”, 43 years old, single, jobless and a resident of Brgy Patunan, Manukan, Zamboanga del Norte.

Confiscated/recovered from his possession and control were ten (10) pieces big Heat-sealed Transparent Plastic Sachet containing white crystalline granules believed to be shabu, seven (7) pieces small size Heat-sealed Transparent Plastic Sachet containing white crystalline granules believed to be shabu, one (1) piece 500.00 peso bill bearing serial number RM929919 as marked money, Five Hundred Peso [Php500.00] bills as proceeds money, one (1) piece empty pack of red Marlboro cigarette served as container of the shabu and one (1) unit black CloudFone.

Suspect was brought to Provincial Crime Laboratory Office (SOCO) for drug testing together with the pieces of drug evidence for chemical examination and weighing at the said office while the non-drug evidence were safe keep at Dipolog CPS for court exhibit.

Arrested suspect is now detained at Dipolog CPS pending filling of formal complaint. Estimated street value of confiscated illegal drugs (shabu) amounting to Five Hundred Thousand Pesos (Php 500,000.00).

Top1 Most Wanted Person of Zamboanga del Norte, Killed in Police Operation

SALUG, Zamboanga del Norte (April 10, 2019) – Combined Police operatives of Salug Municipal Police Station, Zamboanga del Norte PPO-Intel Branch, 901st Company of RMFB9, Zamboanga del Norte Provincial Mobile Force Company and 97th Infantry Battalion of Phil Army conducted joint manhunt operation at Barangay Mucas, Salug, Zamboanga del Norte at about 10:45 AM of April 8, 2019.

Police Brigadier General Emmanuel Luis D Licup, PRO9 Director said the operation led to the neutralization of Julmin Mulok, a Provincial Level Top 1 Most Wanted Person, member of Criminal Gang Muloc and Watch listed Gun for Hire.

The arrest was done by virtue of warrant of arrest for Kidnapping docketed in Criminal Case number 20128 without Bail Bond Recommended issued and signed by Judge Cherry Joy C Ageas dated December 14, 2015;

Abdulham Muloc and Nurad Muloc by virtue of Warrant of Arrest for Robbery docketed in Criminal Case number Nr L-002386 with bail bond recommended of Php12,000.00 issued and signed by Judge of RTC9 Br 28, Liloy, Zamboanga del Norte, Grave Threats docketed in Criminal Case number 3618 with bail bond recommended of 1,000.00, Theft with Criminal Case number 3619 with bail bond recommended of 12,000.00, Grave Threats with Nr 3620 with bail bond recommended of Php1,000.00, Grave Coercion with CC Nr 3621 with bail bond recommended of Php1,000.00, Grave Threats with Criminal Case number No. 3622 with bail bond recommended of Php1,000.00, Usurpation Rights of property with Criminal Case number Nr 3623 with bail bond recommended of Php1,000.00 and Grave Coercion with Criminal Case number Nr 3624 with bail bond recommended of Php12,000.00 issued and signed by Judge Ric Basta of Godod-Salug MCTC dated December 1, 2014.

Accordingly, while the assaulting team approached to the area, Julmin Mulok who is inside the house escaped after sensing the arrival of the authorities by passing at the grassy portion particularly at the back of the said house.

The said suspect saw the blocking team thereat and drew his pistol from his waist and fired his firearm against the authorities that prompted the operating team able to returned fire and hitting him.

Immediately, subject person was rushed to Liloy Integrated Health District Hospital for medical attention but declared Dead on Arrival by attending physician.

Recovered from the possession of the suspect are one unit of Para-ordnance .45 Cal pistol inserted with one magazine with three live ammunitions and one unit of cellular phone. The PRO9 Director lauded the effort of operating units for a job well done.

Top 4 Most Wanted of Pinan, Captured

PIÑAN, Zamboanga del Norte (April 10, 2019) - Police personnel of Piñan MPS led by Police Lieutenant Joseph Mc Artem B. Villarino together with personnel of Zamboanga del Norte PPO-Intel Branch, CIDG Zamboanga del Norte, and PHPT Zamboanga del Norte conducted manhunt operation thru Intel driven operation in Purok 3 Brgy Segabe, Pinan, Zamboanga del Norte at about 10AM of April 8, 2019.

Police Brigadier General Emmanuel Luis D Licup, PRO9 Director said the operation resulted to the arrest of Top 4 Most Wanted Person (Municipal Level) identified as Arnel Ruiz Bendaño, 46 years old, married and a resident of aforementioned place.

The suspect was arrested by virtue of Warrant of Arrest issued by Presiding Judge Rogelio D Laquihon of Regional Trial Court, 9th judicial Region, Branch 7, Dipolog City dated September 24, 2018 for the crime of Rape docketed under Criminal Case Number 21843 without bail recommended. 

Said accused is now detained at Pinan MPS for proper disposition.

Siocon MPS Top 7 Most Wanted Person, Captured

SIOCON, Zamboanga del Norte (April 10, 2019) – The Siocon MPS Top 7 most wanted person was arrested by police operatives of Siocon Municipal Police Station led by Police Major Manolo T. Echem in a manhunt operation at Brgy. Sta. Maria, Siocon, Zamboanga del Norte at about 2:00 PM of April 9, 2019.

Police Brigadier Gen. Emmanuel Luis D Licup, PRO9 Director identified the arrested as Said Jala Musaddin, 50 years old, Top 7 Most wanted person of Siocon MPS and a resident of the Barangay Bucana, Siocon.

He was arrested by virtue of Warrant of Arrest issued by Judge of Branch 27, RTC, 9th Judicial Region, Siocon dated September 29, 2017 for the crime of Frustrated Murder with Criminal Case no.. 2017-03-03(1453) with bail bond amounting to Php 200,000.00.

Arrested wanted person is now detained at Siocon MPS for proper disposition.
