REPORTED INCIDENT - March 1, 2017

Shooting Incident

SIRAWAI - Shooting incident transpired at Sitio Lote, Barangay Saint Mary, Sirawai, Zamboanga Del Norte at about 7:05 AM of February 28, 2017. The victim was identified as TSGT Zaldy Caling Caling, 42 years old, married, member of 13th Special Forces, Philippine Army and assigned at Narra Detachment, Barangay San Vicente, Sirawai. He was shot to death by four (4) unidentified perpetrators while driving his MC with his back rider identified as Dandan Lacsayao, a CAFGU member, going to Sirawai Proper. The suspects is using cal. 45 to shoot the victim based on the nineteen (19) fired cartridges of cal. 45 and three (3) slugs and one (1) live ammo of Cal .45 recovered at the crime scene. Victim sustained multiple gunshot wounds on the different parts of his body that caused his instantaneous death. While Dandan Lacsayao the back rider was brought to Regional Health Unit, Sirawai. He sustained gunshot wounds at his left knee and right ankle. Further investigation revealed that along the road of the above-mentioned place, the four (4) suspects approached and shot them and fled to unknown direction. The cadaver of the victim was turn over to his immediate family for proper disposition. Joint elements of Sirawai MPS, RPSB9 and Zamboanga Del Norte Public Safety Company are now conducting follow up operation to possibly identify and arrest the perpetrators. 

Robbery Incident

DIPOLOG CITY - Robbery incident occurred at the house of Arlene Onting-Jatico, 56 years old, female, married and a resident of By-Pass Road, Sta. Isabel, Dipolog City, Zamboanga Del Norte. Wherein unidentified suspect/s entered at the mentioned house and carted away cash money amounting to eighteen thousand seventy pesos (P18, 070.00) more or less which was keep inside the closet in the master’s bedroom. She further added that the suspect/s gained entry at the unlock back door of their house. Incident discovered at around 6:45 PM of February 27, 2017. Thorough investigation still conducted for the possible identification and arrest of the suspect/s.

Robbery Incident

DIPOLOG CITY - The person of Marilou Dasig Baruzon, 41 years old, female, married and a resident of South Proper, Galas, Dipolog City, Zamboanga Del Norte, while she was about to pay the grocery items at Vallecer Store Located At Lacaya St, Central Barangay, Dipolog City, Zamboanga Del Norte at around 1:00 PM of February 27, 2017 she noticed that here wallet containing cash money amounting to Php12, 000.00 which was put inside on her shoulder bag was already missing. Upon viewing to the CCTV footage installed therein it was found out that a female person wearing white sweatshirt with black sling bag took her wallet while she was busy picking grocery items. Thorough investigation still conducted for the possible identification and arrest of the suspect/s.

Thievery Incident

MANUKAN - Thievery incident transpired at about 4:50 AM of February 28, 2017, wherein one Glenn Omaña, 29 years old, single, and a resident of East Poblacion, Manukan, Zamboanga Del Norte reported to Leon B Postigo MPS that his personal belongings, such as: cell phone i phone5; pair of fila shoes; black back pack; and a pair of short pants were discovered missing and believed to be stolen while he is in Barangay Silano, Piñan, Zamboanga Del Norte. Further added that his cell phone was traced through GPS and located at Barangay Talinga, Leon Postigo where his construction laborer resides identified as Adrian Catalbas, 23 years old, single, laborer. Immediately, PNP personnel of Leon Postigo MPS successfully arrested the suspect and recovered from his possession and control the items declared by the complainant. Subject person and the recovered items were brought to Leon B Postigo MPS for proper disposition.

Man Arrested for Carrying Unlicensed Pistol

SERGIO OSMEÑA - A 26-year old man was arrested after a caliber 45 pistol was seized from his possession during the police assistance operation conducted by Sergio Osmena MPS at Barangay Poblacion, Sergio Osmena, Zamboanga Del Norte at about 11:25 AM of February 28, 2017. Arrested was Ronie Boy T. Laranjo, 26 years old, male, and a resident of Barangay. San Isidro, Sergio Osmeña. His arrest was made after the personnel of Sergio Osmena MPS received a report that an unidentified suspicious-looking person sighted at Barangay Poblacion Alto, Sergio Osmena, Zamboanga Del Norte particularly in front of Sangguniang Bayan (sb) session hall wherein subject person was driving a motorcycle, wearing gray hoodie jacket, with suspected firearm tucked on his waist. Confiscated from his possession and control were the following, to wit: one (1) unit colt caliber .45 pistol bearing serial number 748152; one (1) magazine loaded with seven (7) ammos;  extra thirteen (13) live ammos of caliber .45; and  one (1) piece garrison belt. Arrested person failed to present legal documents regarding the confiscated items was brought and detained at Sergio Osmena MPS for proper disposition.

REPORTED INCIDENT - February 28, 2017

Cadaver Found

ROXAS - A cadaver was found at Sitio Pukay, Tanayan, Roxas, Zamboanga Del Norte at about 8:00 PM of February 27, 2017. Initial investigation disclosed that prior to the incident, the victim identified as Donato Denolan Gumobal, male, married, 40 years old, coconut harvester and a resident of Sitio Pukay, Tanayan, Roxas, Zamboanga Del Norte was harvesting coconut fruits at the said place using a bamboo pole and accidentally hit the electrical service drop wire near the coconut tree. Upon physical examination conducted by Rey Daymiel (Municipal Rural Health Unit Personnel) it was found out that the victim sustained several electrical burns on his body which resulted to his instantaneous death. Recovered from the area was one (1) piece sharp bolo with scabbard tied on the victim’s waist and one (1) piece bamboo pole with a scythe on the other end. The cadaver was brought to Rubio Funeral Homes, Barangay Piao, Roxas, Zamboanga Del Norte and turned- over to his family.

Arrest of Wanted Person

BALIGUIAN - Operatives of Baliguian MPS conducted a manhunt operation at Barangay Diculom, Baliguian, Zamboanga Del Norte at about 12:40 PM of February 27, 2017. This resulted in the arrest of Junie Talaid Muyag, 42 years old, male, married, resident of said place. subject person was arrested by virtue of warrant of arrest issued by Presiding Judge, Laarni N Dajao Of RTC, 9th Judicial Region, Branch 27, Siocon, Zamboanga Del Norte dated February 6, 2017, docketed under criminal case number 2017-02-01(1422) for the crime of serious physical injury, with bail bond recommended amounting to twelve thousand pesos (Php 12,000.00) for his temporary liberty. Arrested person is now temporarily detained at Baliguian MPS lock-up cell awaiting court order.

Top 1 Most Wanted in Dapitan City Falls

DAPITAN CITY - Intel operatives of Dapitan City Police Station and CIDG province of Rizal conducted manhunt operation at Sitio Tawi-Tawi, Parola St, Cainta, Rizal at about 6:30 am of february 25, 2017 that resulted to the arrest of Armando Ragonos Palgan (listed as Top 1 Most Wanted Person Of Dapitan City and Top 2 Most Wanted Person Of Misamis Occidental, 33 years old, male, married, and presently residing at Barangay San Jose, Antipolo City, Rizal who was charged for the crime of murder docketed under criminal case nr. 19386 issued by Presiding Judge Victoriano Dl. Lacaya Jr, RTC, Branch 9, 9th Judicial Region, Dipolog City, Dated February 6, 2015 with no bail recommended and for the crime of attempted robbery docketed under cc nr 1181 issued by Presiding Judge Roy P. Murallon, Branch 36, 10th Judicial Region, Calamba, Misamis Occidental dated December 28, 2016 with bail bond recommended amounting to eighty thousand pesos (Php 80,000.00). subject person was the driver of the getaway motorcycle involved in the shooting incident on September 14, 2014 at Barangay Polo, Dapitan City that resulted to the death of PO3 Ardie Galleposo, PNP member of Mutia MPS. subject person is now temporarily detained at CIDG, Barangay San Jose, Antipolo City, province of Rizal.

2 Held for Theft of Motorcycle

DIPOLOG CITY - Two individuals were arrested by operatives of Dapitan City Police Station after they were caught seen pushing a motorcycle with sidecar along the National Highway of Galas, Dipolog City particularly in front of Caltex Gas Station at around 4:00 AM of February 27, 2017. The arrested suspects were identified as Lendon Bon”, 19 years old, single, and a resident of Surf Miputak, Dipolog City and George Felisima Torot, 18 years old, male single and a resident of Anastacio, Polanco, Zamboanga Del Norte. Accordingly, said MC was reportedly lost at around 12:12 AM of February 27, 2017 while being parked at Surf Miputak, Dipolog City by the driver named Michael Angelo King Tomboc Dy, 18 years old, single and a resident of Noli Me Tangere St., Brgy Dawo, Dapitan City. Suspects are now detained at Dipolog City Police Station. 

REPORTED INCIDENT - February 27, 2017

Escape of Detainees

DIPOLOG CITY - Two detainees from Zamboanga Del Norte Provincial Jail escaped from duty guard while confined at the Zamboanga Del Norte hospital at about 3:50 PM of February 26, 2017. Dipolog City Police Station identified the two escapees as Joey Sarigumba, 32 years old and Winifredo Luminarias, 33 years old. The two were confined at said medical center, Sicayab, Dipolog City due to hemorrhoids and constipation and escaped from the duty provincial guard, Abraham Antiquina who escorted them while inside the said hospital. Both suspects were charged for violation of RA 9165. Elements of Zamboanga Del Norte and Dipolog City Police Station conducted hot pursuit operation.

Accidental Firing Incident

DIPOLOG CITY - Be informed that at about 7:00 o’clock in the morning of February 24, 2017 Dipolog CPS received a report from a concerned citizen that there was an accidental firing incident at PurokParpagayo, Minaog, Dipolog City wherein the victim identified as ALFREDO REGALA y LACQUIO JR, 74 years old, married, a resident of said place and a retired constable of Philippine Constabulary (PC). Initial investigation conducted disclosed that while the victim was cleaning his caliber .45 pistol, said handgun accidentally fired hitting his chest. Victim sustained lone gunshot wound was rushed to ZANORTE Medical Center, Sicayab, Dipolog City but was declared dead on arrival by the attending physician, Dr. Concepcion Mata, MD. Recovered at the crime scene were the following, to wit: a) One (1) unit Caliber .45 compact handgun, bearing serial number 015162, marked COLT MK IV series 80, b) One (1) fire cartridge case of caliber .45 ammunition, c) One (1) unit magazine loaded with five (5) live ammos of caliber .45. Cadaver of the victim was turned-over to his wife LuzmindaBicoy-Regala, 58 years old, married and a resident of same place. For information.

DAPITAN CITY - Be informed that at about 8:50 o’clock in the evening of February 24, 2017Joint elements of Dapitan CPS and Oroquieta CPS led by SPO4 Jose Renault Tan arrested one LARRY CAIDIC y CALIMPONG, 47 years old, male, married and a resident of Marapong, Sibutad, ZN charged for the crime of “ESTAFA” docketed under Criminal Case No.21397 issued by Hon Judge Victoriano DL, Lacaya Jr, of RTC, 9^th Judicial Region, Branch 9,Dipolog City dated January 20, 2017 with bail of (Php20,000.00). SINDANGAN - FIRE INCIDENT THAT TRANSPIRED AT LAWIS, SINDANGAN, ZAMBOANGA DEL NORTE AT ABOUT 3:00 AM OF FEBRUARY 23, 2017, WHEREIN FIVE (5) HOUSES MADE OF LIGHT MATERIALS WITH GI SHEETS ROOFING RENTED BY MAMINTAL MAMISKAL, NOEL BOLAY-OG, MERLITA CAUNTONGAN, AIDA ANDIOG AND JOVELYN JASMIN OWNED BY MARIA ELINA CARDENIO VARGASO, WAS TOTALLY RAZED DOWN BY FIRE. INITIAL INVESTIGATION CONDUCTED BY THE PERSONNEL OF SINDANGAN BUREAU OF FIRE PROTECTION DISCLOSED THAT ACCORDINGLY, THE FIRE STARTED AT ABOUT 3:00 AM OF FEBRUARY 23, 2017 AT THE DIRTY KITCHEN MADE OF LIGHT MATERIALS SITUATED AT THE RENTED HOUSE OF MERLITA CAUNTONGAN, WHEN SHE LEFT HER STONE FABRICATED STOVE WITH FIREWOOD AND WITH FEW FIRES THAT POSSIBLY STARTED THE FIRE. THE INCIDENT WAS TOTALLY DECLARED FIRE OUT AT 5:10AM OF SAME DATE BY THE GROUND COMMANDER OF SINDANGAN BFP FIREFIGHTING TEAM. THE ESTIMATED TOTAL DAMAGED IS MORE OR LESS TWO HUNDRED SEVENTY FOUR THOUSAND PESOS (PHP 274,000.00), AND NO CASUALTY/INJURED DURING THE INCIDENT.

INITIAL INVESTIGATION CONDUCTED DISCLOSED THAT AT ABOUT 7:25 AM OF FEBRUARY 23, 2017, AT BARANGAY SAN VICENTE, SIRAWAI, PARTICULARLY AT THE SIDE OF THE ROAD OF SIRAWAI CENTRAL SCHOOL, SIRAWAI, ONE VICTIM IDENTIFIED AS LINA HINAYON ORDINEZA, 43 YO, SINGLE, BUSINESS WOMAN AND A RESIDENT OF BRGY. SAN ROQUE, SIRAWAI, WAS SHOT BY UNIDENTIFIED PERPETRATOR WITH THE USED OF CAL. 45 BASED ON THE EMPTY SHELL RECOVERED AT THE CRIME SCENE. FURTHER INVESTIGATION REVEALED THAT AFTER THE VICTIM SEND HER STUDENT AT SAID SCHOOL, AND WHILE ON HIS WAY HOME RIDING HER SINGLE MOTOR CYCLE WAS SHOT BY UNIDENTIFIED SUSPECT HITTING ON HER RIGHT UPPER ABDOMEN AND RIGHT ARM. RECOVERED AT THE CRIME SCENE IS ONE (1) EMPTY SHELL OF CAL. 45. AFTER THE INCIDENT THE SUSPECT FLED TO UNKNOWN DIRECTION WHILE THE VICTIM WAS IMMEDIATELY BROUGHT TO RURAL HEALTH UNIT AND WAS REFERRED TO ZAMBOANGA MEDICAL CENTER FOR MEDICAL TREATMENT. RIZAL - OPERATIVES OF RIZAL MPS LED BY SPO2 ESMERALDO PALLER WHILE CONDUCTING MOBILE PATROL AT NATIONAL HIGHWAY, POBLACION RIZAL, ZAMBOANGA DEL NORTE AT ABOUT 6:25 PM OF FEBRUARY 22, 2017, INTERCEPTED ONE (1) GREEN CARGO TRUCK ISUZU BEARING PLATE NR LMX 152 LOADED WITH MORE OR LESS 180 PCS OF MAHOGANY TIMBER DRIVEN BY NERVIN BANTILAN ERAT, 38 YEARS OLD, MARRIED AND A RESIDENT OF CARTAGENA, PLARIDEL, MISAMIS OCCIDENTAL AND FAILED TO PRESENT THE REQUIRED DOCUMENTS TO TRANSPORT TIMBER. SAID MAHOGANY TIMBER LOGS CAME FROM BRGY SAN ROQUE, RIZAL, ZAMBOANGA DEL NORTE OWNED BY JULIE CEBEDO AND WAS SOLD TO NESTOR MAYONILA. Shooting Incident

SIAYAN - Shooting incident transpired at the residence of Mayor Flora L. Villarosa of Siayan, Zamboanga Del Norte located in Barangay Poblacion, Siayan, Zamboanga Del Norte, wherein unidentified perpetrators fired upon the mayor’s residence. Initial investigation disclosed that at around 12:55 AM of February 22, 2017, the mayor security personnel noticed two vehicles - one (1) white van and one (1) motorcycle, slowly pass by and suddenly fired their guns toward the house which hit its concrete fence. The suspects immediately fled to an unknown direction. Recovered from the crime scene near the main gate were five (5) cartridges of caliber 5.56 and two (2) slugs. The motive of the incident is yet to be determined.

Trespassing Incident

TAMPILISAN - Trespassing incident transpired in Barangay Poblacion, Tampilisan, Zamboanga Del Norte at about 11:00 PM of February 20, 2017. Wherein two suspects entered the rented room of the victim identified as Jayson Calipayan De Guzman, 20 years old, single, resident of Barangay Bacong, Salug, Zamboanga Norte. Investigation disclosed that the two suspects were under the influence of liquor. The suspect named Jacky Horlillado Goc-Ong, 23 years old, single, resident of Barangay Poblacion, Tampilisan, Zamboanga Del Norte, was arrested, while his companion escaped. The arrested person is temporarily detained at Tampilisan MPS for proper disposition and filing of appropriate charges in court.

TAMPILISAN - A Swertres collector was collared during an operation against illegal gambling in Barangay Poblacion, Tampilisan, Zamboanga Del Norte at about 8:30 AM of February 21, 2017. Tampilisan MPS identified the suspect as Reynaldo Cabardo Ang, 39 years old, married, resident of said place. Confiscated from him were three (3) swertres lotto result tips dated February 19, 2017, one piece (1) tally sheet, one (1) piece stub, and bet money amounting to four hundred sixty two pesos (PHP 462.00) in different denominations. The arrested suspect is temporarily detained at Tampilisan MPS for proper disposition.

Robbery Incident

SIOCON - Robbery incident transpired at the residence of Mary Grace Candawan Francisco, 25 years old, married, female, housewife and a resident of Barangay Litubon, Siocon, Zambonga Del Norte. Investigation conducted disclosed that at around 5:30 AM of February 20, 2017, the victim discovered that her one (1) unit cellular phone black Lenovo worth ₱2,500.00, one (1) silver bracelet and two (2) silver necklaces and ₱260.00 proceeds of her sari-sari store were missing and discovered that the window and the fence at the back portion of the house were destroyed where the suspect gain entry and exited same.  further, recovered from the crime scene is one (1) short pant owned by Jeofrey Fabionar Estimada, 51 years old, married, carpenter and her neighbor. Meanwhile, at about 9:00 AM of same date, suspect was arrested and now detained at Siocon MPS for proper disposition.

Man Arrested for Frustrated Murder

SIAYAN - Operatives of Siayan MPS conducted manhunt operation at Barangay Datagan, Siayan, Zamboanga Del Norte at about 3:00 PM of February 19, 2017. This resulted to the arrest of three (3) wanted persons, to wit:  Rodrigo Lumawas Andile, 41 years old, married, male, Salilan Egol Andile, 75 years old, married, male, and Gary Catamco Malabago, 31 years old, married, all farmers and residents of the aforementioned place. They were arrested by virtue of warrant of arrest issued by Judge Reymar L. Lacaya of RTC Branch 11, Sindangan, Zamboanga Del Norte docketed under cc# s-5150 dated august 18, 2015 for the crime of frustrated murder with bail bond amounting to (P 200,000.00) each. Arrested person was detained at Siayan MPS for proper disposition.

RA 9262 Violator Nabbed

SALUG - A RA 9262 Violator was arrested during manhunt operation in Barangay Poblacion, Salug at about 10:45 PM of February 20, 2017. Police Chief Inspector Vedasto J Dasmarinas III, Salug Police Chief, identified the arrested as Rodulfo Gador Timamao, 39 years old, single and a resident of said place. He was arrested by virtue of warrant of arrest issued by Judge Oscar D. Tomarong of RTC, 9th Judicial Region, Br. 28, Liloy for “Violation Of Sec. 5 (a) of R.A. 9262 docketed under cc# no. l-003051 dated January 31, 2017 without bail bond recommended. Arrested wanted person was detained at said police station for proper disposition.

SIBUD COUNTY HOSPITAL, TITAY, ZAMBOANGA SIBUGAY FOR MEDICAL TREATMENT. THIS RESULTED IN THE ARREST OF ARNEL PAROJUINOG CORTEZ, 26 YEARS OLD, SINGLE, A RESIDENT OF BARANGAY LIBAY, SIBUTAD, ZAMBOANGA DEL NORTE. SUBJECT PERSON WAS CAUGHT ON THE ACT COLLECTING BET MONEY OF “SWERTRES”. CONFISCATED FROM HIS POSSESSION AND CONTROL WERE: SIX (6) PIECES SWERTRES TALLY SHEETS AND BET MONEY A TOTAL OF ONE HUNDRED THIRTY SEVEN PESOS (PHP 137.00) IN DIFFERENT DENOMINATIONS. KALAWIT - OPERATIVES OF KALAWIT MPS CONDUCTED POLICE OPERATION ON ILLEGAL GAMBLING GAME LOCALLY KNOWN AS VIDEO CARERA AT BRGY.TUGOP, KALAWIT, ZAMBOANGA DEL NORTE ON FEBRUARY 17, 2017 AT ABOUT 6:00PM. WHEREIN THE PNP TEAM NOTICED THE SAID VIDEO KARERA MACHINE BUT NOBODY IS OPERATING IT. THE TEAM CONFISCATED ONE (1) VIDEO KARERA MACHINE AND ONE SILVER PLASTIC CUP CONTAINING ONE HUNDRED FIFTEEN PESOS (₱115.00) IN DIFFERENT DENOMINATIONS AND WAS BROUGHT TO KALAWIT MPS FOR PROPER DISPOSITION AND INVESTIGATION.

Vehicle Traffic Accident

POLANCO - Vehicle traffic accident transpired along the National Highway Of Sitio Conacon, Barangay Poblacion North, Polanco, Zamboanga Del Norte at about 6:30 PM of February 16, 2017 involving a pedestrian identified as Tita Ocope Harmen, 70 years old, female, married and a resident of Sitio Conacon, Barangay Poblacion North, Polanco, Zamboanga Del Norte who was accidentally bumped by a single motorcycle Honda 110, color red bearing temporary plate no. 090110 driven by Juvin Dagon Pormento, 48 years old, married, male and a resident of Barangay Guniles, Polanco With back-rider Samuel Laurque Yarot, 37 years old, married and a resident of same place. Initial investigation disclosed that while the victim crossed the street she was accidentally bumped by the said MC en route to Barangay Guinles, Polanco. As a result the victim fell down to the road and was also hit and run by another unknown motorcycle running in opposite direction that fled away after the incident. The driver Mr. Dagon and the victim were rushed to Zamboanga Del Norte Medical Center however the victim was declared doa by the attending physician while the driver was still under medical care. Motorcycle involved was impounded at Polanco MPS for proper disposition.

Progress Report on Fire Incident

SERGIO OSMEÑA - This pertains to the fire incident of abandoned CAFGU detachment under 42^nd IB, Philippine army at Barangay Bagumbayan, Sergio Osmena, Zamboanga Del Norte on February 14, 2017 at around 10:00 AM. Investigation disclosed that an estimated 20 armed men including one (1) female clad in military uniform and black sweat shirts armed with AK47, M16 and M14 rifles arrived on foot at Barangay Bagumbayan, Sergio Osmena, Zamboanga Del Norte at around 9:00 AM of February 14, 2017.  Said armed group forcibly entered and searched the residences of Barangay Captain Janny Anoy of said barangay and took his cellphone and also the residence of Ronald and Benito Gandino (brothers), both CAFGU members assigned at San Antonio Detachment, Brgy San Antonio, Sergio Osmena. The group took some usable things including backpacks containing CAFGU uniforms. Witnesses were able to identify one (1) of the armed men as Tata Maglasang. Subsequently the armed group proceeded to the nearby abandoned cafgu detachment and burned the Nipa hut. Said detachment was already abandoned since the 1st quarter of 2016. Sergio Osmena MPS already informed and coordinated with other friendly unit in the AOR regarding the incident. Further, pertinent documents were already prepared for filling a case against Tata Maglasang who was positively identified by the witnesses.

MUTIA - Joint elements of Mutia MPS, Pinan MPS and Labangan MPS conducted manhunt operation at Barangay Newland, Mutia, Zamboanga Del Norte at about 8:20 PM of February 15, 2017. This resulted to the arrest of Pepito Sumingit Jamarolin, 46 years old, male, married and a resident of Barangay Silano, Piñan, Zamboanga Del Norte. Subject person has standing warrant of arrest issued by Presiding Judge Dennis Vicoy Of RTC, 9th Judicial Region Branch 20, Pagadian City for the crime of murder docketed under cc# 11692-2014 dated June 30, 2015 without bail. Arrested subject person is presently detained at Pinan MPS for proper disposition.

RIZAL - Personnel of Rizal MPS conducted manhunt operation at Barangay Sipaon, Rizal, Zamboanga Del Norte at about 3:20 PM of February 15, 2017. This resulted to the arrest of Rico Lasay Dagondon, 55 years old, male, married, farmer and a resident of said place. He has standing warrant of arrest issued by Presiding Judge Ric S. Bastasa, 9th Judicial Region, RTC Branch 8, Dipolog City Dated December 13, 2016, for the crime of sec. 68 of P.D. 705 as amended by R.A. 7161 docketed under cc# 21326 with bail bond recommended amounting to twenty thousand pesos (Php20, 000.00). Arrested subject person is presently detained at Rizal MPS for proper disposition.

Ransacked Incident

TAMPILISAN - Ransacked incident transpired at Barangay Poblacion, Tampilisan, Zamboanga Del Norte. Initial investigation disclosed that at around 4:00 AM of February 16, 2017 a Lechon Manok establishment owned by Rosa Maria Alcariz Nacario, 38 years old, female, married a resident of Barangay. Poblacion, Tampilisan, was forcibly entered by destroying the padlock of the main door and took away 10 pcs dress chicken, 6 kilos hotdog, cell phone charger, power bank and red wristwatch, all amounting to two thousand pesos (P2,000). During the follow up investigation the suspect was arrested Angelito Gindoy Aloy, 16 years old, male and a resident of By-Pass Road, Sta. Isabel, Dipolog City, Zamboanga Del Norte Temporary Residing at Kubo Hut of Barangay Poblacion, Tampilisan. Recovered from his shelter were seven (7) pcs fiesta hotdog, red wristwatch, basin and sliced dressed chicken. Suspect was brought to Tampilisan MPS for proper disposition.

LILOY - Combined elements of Godod MPS and Liloy MPS conducted manhunt operation at Barangay Kayok, Liloy, Zamboanga Del Norte at about 1:00 PM of February 16, 2017. This resulted to the arrest of Saga Socol Lontua, 57 years old, male, married, farmer and a resident of Kayok, Liloy. The said person has standing warrant of arrest issued by Presiding Judge Oscar D. Tomarong Of 9th Judicial Region, Branch 28, Liloy Zn Dated October 22, 2009, for the crime of frustrated homicide docketed under cc# l-001622 with bail bond recommended amounted to Php 24,000.00. Arrested subject person is presently detained at Godod MPS for proper disposition.

Campaign on Illegal Gambling

SINDANGAN - Elements of Sindangan MPS led conducted anti-illegal gambling operation at Barangay Calatunan, Sindangan, Zamboanga Del Norte at about 2:30 PM of February 16, 2017. This resulted to the arrest of three (3) suspects namely; Giovane Domen Pormento, 37 Years Old, Married, Jomarie Mandao Sumingcan, 18 years old, single and Kevin Pormento Ando, 17 years old, single, all male a residents of said place who were caught in the act of playing card games locally known as “piat-piat”. Confiscated from their possession were; one (1) set playing card and seven hundred twenty pesos (P720.00) as bet money. Subject persons were brought to Sindangan MPS for proper disposition.

Campaign against illegal Gambling

DIPOLOG CITY - Elements of Dipolog CPS conducted campaign on anti-illegal gambling at Barangay Sta. Isabel, Dipolog City, Zamboanga Del Norte at about 1:00 PM February 15, 2017. This resulted to the arrest of Rubby Dela Crus, 43 years old, married a resident of Bonifacio St., Estaka, Dipolog City, Zamboanga Del Norte who was caught in the act of collecting money bets in front of Cyber Gym Shop, Sta. Isabel Dipolog City. Recovered from his possession were three (3) pieces of swertres lotto tally sheets indicating number figures, money bets amounting to twenty seven pesos and fifty centavos (₱27.50) in different denominations. On February 16, 2017 a violation of RA 9287 was filed against the suspect at the office of Dipolog City Prosecutor under is no.ix-03-inq-17b-0019. Subject person was detained at Dipolog CPS for proper disposition.

Robbery incident

SINDANGAN - Robbery incident occurred at Coco Grove Beach Resort at Sitio Damusag, Tigbao, Sindangan, Zamboanga Del Norte at about 10:30 PM of February 14, 2017. The victims were Froilan Sorronda Jamito Sr., 61 years old, married, retired seaman, a resident of Barangay Galas, Dipolog City and Margie Partosa Binondo, 33 years old, single, Overseas Filipino Worker (OFW), a resident of Tamil, Jose Dalman, Zamboanga Del Norte. Accordingly, the were inside their rented room at Coco Grove Beach Resort situated at Sitio Damusag, Tigbao, Sindangan, Zamboanga Del Norte, when they discovered that their black bag marked Samsonite containing the following: two (2) Rado wrist watches amounting (₱90,000.00) each, brown wallet containing (us dollar 4,000.00) cash money, driver’s license, SSS ID, PRC license, assorted t-shirts, three (3) pieces small bottles of perfume, two (2) cellphones amounting (₱10,000.00) each were already missing. Investigation disclosed that unidentified suspect was wearing brown short pants and black shirt which gained entrance at the unlocked sliding window of the room and once inside took the black bag containing the above-mentioned items. Elements of Sindangan MPS are now conducting follow up operation for the possible identity and arrest of the suspect.

Vehicular Accident

LILOY - Vehicular accident transpired along the National Highway Of Barangay Compra, Liloy, Zamboanga Del Norte at about 2:45 AM of February 15, 2017, involving Suzuki Mini Van color violet, bearing plate number YJP 872, with engine number k6a-6109243, with chassis number da62v-488486, registered under the name of Andy T. Uy Of Lapulapu, Cebu City, driven by PSI Sergio Romaguera Bihag, Chief of Labason MPS, 53 years old, married, a resident of Poblacion Salug, Zamboanga Del Norte. Investigation disclosed that while the vehicle was travelling from Tampilisan bound to Liloy Zamboanga Del Norte (north direction), upon reaching at the said place, the driver losses control of his driven vehicle resulting to the vehicle to tumble down. the driver of said vehicle sustained contusions on the different parts of his body and was brought to Liloy Health District Hospital for medical treatment while his vehicle incurred minor damages was brought to Liloy MPS for proper disposition.

SERGIO OSMEÑA - Operatives of Sergio Osmena MPS and Sapang Dalaga MPS conducted manhunt operation at Barangay. Kauswagan, Sergio Osmeña Zamboanga Del Norte at about 10:00 AM of February 15, 2017. Arrested was Narciso Sagaray Bongcawel, 66 years old, male, married, temporarily residing at Barangay San Isidro, Sergio Osmeña, Zamboanga Del Norte. He was arrested by virtue of warrant of arrest issued by Judge Stephen Ian T. Belacho Of 2nd MCTC Of Sapang Dalaga - Cocepcion, 10th Judicial Region, Sapang Daalaga, Misamis Occidental, February 9, 2017, for the crime of direct assault upon an agent of person in authority, docketed under criminal case number 5-2016 with bail bond amounting to twelve thousand pesos (₱12,000.00)..

RA 7610 Violator Arrested

LILOY - Personnel of Liloy MPS and Godod MPS conducted manhunt operation at Barangay Villa C. Sudiacal, Liloy, Zamboanga Del Norte at about 4:00 PM of February 15, 2017. Arrested was Oliver Quinimon Miparanum, male, 38 years old, married, Filipino and a resident of Purok 1 Poblacion Godod. He was arrested by virtue of warrant of arrest issued by Judge Oscar D. Tomarong of RTC branch 28 Liloy for violation of RA 7610 docketed in criminal case no. l-002916 dated January 24, 2017 with a bail bond recommended of eighteen thousand pesos (Php18, 000.00). Arrested wanted person was brought and detained at Godod MPS for proper disposition.

JOSE DALMAN - The operatives of Jose Dalman MPS conducted police operation after receiving information that an illegal cock fighting locally known as “Tari-Tari” is on progress at Barangay Dinasan, Jose Dalman, Zamboanga Del Norte at about 3:30 PM of February 15, 2017.  The involved gamblers scampered into different directions leaving two (2) fighting cocks with gaffs (1 dead and 1 live) and other nine (9) gaffs inside the small black pouch. Confiscated fighting cocks and gaffs were deposited to Jose Dalman MPS for proper disposition.

DAPITAN CITY - Operatives of Dapitan City Police Station led by SPO4 Jose Renault Tan conducted operation against illegal cockfighting at Barangay Dampalan, Dapitan City, Zamboanga Del Norte at about 3:00 PM of February 15, 2017. Arrested were the following: Ernie Cubol Bagalanon,44 years old married; Edgardo Alumbro Bustillo, 50 years old, married; Henry Basig Calaguian, 46 years old; and Dofel Ello Jalandoni, 27 years old married, all are residents of Purok 5, Barangay Dampalan, Dapitan City. Recovered from the possession of the suspects were the following: three (3) dead fighting cock; two (2) live fighting cock; one (1) notebook with list of all cock fights “sultada”; and bet money amounting to six hundred pesos (P600.00). All arrested suspects are now detained at Dapitan City Police Station for proper disposition.
