June 09-13, 2019 – Reported Incidents in Zamboanga del Norte

3 people injurred in Road Crash Accident
LILOY, Zamboanga del Norte – Three people were injured in Road crash accident transpired along the National Highway of Brgy San Miguel, Liloy Zamboanga del Norte at about 2:40 PM of June 10, 2019,M

The accident was involving White Mitsubishi Fuso canter cargo truck 2004 with plate no. GTY894 driven by Dante Apurado Jr, 20 years old, with passengers identified as Warry Lamosaw Castillo, 27, and Niel Claraval Ruvieto, 31, both residents of Brgy Patawag, Labason, Zamboanga del Norte.

Investigation conducted disclosed that while said truck was travelling from Labason going to Liloy, Zamboanga del Norte and upon reaching the place of incident, the front brakes malfunctioned that resulted the driver to lost control of his driven truck and suddenly overshot to the low-lying areas beside the road, causing injuries to all riders.

The Victims were brought to Liloy Integrated District Hospital for medical treatment while the said vehicle is now n custody of Liloy MPS for proper disposition.

1 person killed in Stabbing Incident
DIPOLOG CITY – One perdon was killed in Stabbing incident occurred at Purok 4 National Highway, Cogon, Dipolog City, Zamboanga del Norte at about 11:30 AM, June 13, 2019.

Police Brigadier Gen. Froilan F Quidilla, PRO9 Director identified the suspects as Rico Flores y Barsasa, 54 years old and Reymart Flores y Dominguez, 24 years old, both were married and residents of Purok 5, Cogon, Dipolog City.

Base on the information gathered from a 27-year old witness, they were inside at the Sari-sari store owned by Gemma Ancong located at Purok 4 National Highway, Cogon, Dipolog City together with the victim named Dino Nonong y Gumial, 39 years old, married and a resident of Purok 5, Cogon, Dipolog City when the victim was stabbed by the suspects Rico Flores y Barsasa and Reymart Flores y Dominguez following their heated arguments.

Victim was brought by Rescue 117 ambulance to Zanorte Medical Hospital located at Sicayab, Dipolog City but it was declared dead on arrival by Dr. Antonio Aguirre attending physician.

Suspects were voluntarily surrendered now detained at Dipolog City Police Station and recovered the 18 inches long bolo which was used on the incident.

2 Hurt in Accidental Explosion of Rifle Grenade
LILOY, Zamboanga del Norte - An explosion transpired at Ganase Elementary School, Barangay Ganase, Liloy, Zamboanga del Norte at around 12:30 PM of June 13, 2019.

Initial investigation conducted by the responding PNP personnel of Liloy Municipal Police Station disclosed that said explosives (Rifle Grenade) was found at the abandoned house of a retired Philippine Army identified as Ferdinand Fabian and Editha Fabian located at Barangay Ganase, Liloy, Zamboanga del Norte by Clark Rafols Simbajon, male, 15 years old, Grade 7 student, resident of said place while collecting iron or junked materials and brought to their house last June 10, 2019.

Said explosives was brought by his younger brother identified as Jemar Rafols Simbajon, male, 12 years old, and was played by his co-student namely; Rhanie Elmita Erro, male, 12 years old, and Racky Villanueva Arnaiz, 12 years old, male, all are Grade-6 students of above-mentioned school and accidentally exploded in front of the school building while it was being played by the said pupils causing a minor damage to the classroom of Ms Maybelie C. Quizel, teacher of said School and injured two persons namely;
Desiderio Pizon Acain, 54 years old, male, married,  teacher and resident of barangay Patawag, Liloy, Zamboanga del Norte and
John Michael Fabraquel Baunillo, 12 years old, male, grade 6 student of said School and resident of said place.

Both victims incurred minor injuries and were brought to Liloy Integrated Health District Hospital for medication. Recovered from the blast area was part of the rifle grenade.

June 4-5, 2019 – Reported Incident in ZaNorte


Drug Suspect Arrested
DIPOLOG CITY - Regional Drugs Enforcement Unit 9 and Dipolog City Police Station conducted joint drug buy-bust operation at Purok Kalambuan, Sta. Filomena, Dipolog City at about 4:00 AM, June 4, 2019.

The operation was resulted to the arrest of Nof Paner Patangan, 22 years old, single, Bar Entertainer and a resident of Tabuk Tulay, Brgy Estaka, Dipolog City.

Confiscated during the were two (2) pieces big size heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing white crystalline granules believed to be shabu, four (4) pieces small size heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing white crystalline granules believed to be shabu worth Seventy Thousand Pesos (₱70,000.00) and color blue Nokia Cellular Phone and one (1) piece black shoulder bag, one (1) piece Five Hundred Peso bill bearing serial number S893742 as buy bust money, one (1) unit.

A case for violation of R.A. 9165 is being readied for filing in court against the suspect.

1 person killed in Stabbing Incident
POLANCO, Zamboanga del Norte – One person as killed in Stabbing incident occurred at Brgy Pian, Polanco, Zamboanga del Norte at about 5:00 PM of June 04, 2019.

The victim was identified as Erlina Natial Lumacang, 42 years old, married and a resident of above-mentioned place. She was stabbed to death by her husband identified as Leofer Intic Lumacang of legal age, a resident of same place. Investigation disclosed both victim and suspect were harvesting swamp cabbage locally known as ”kangkong” at Layawan River located at Brgy Pian, Polanco, Zamboanga del Norte.

They were together with their sister in laws identified as Felicitas Omnus Natial, 50 years old and also a resident of same place. However, upon leaving the area and on their way home on foot, Felicitas Natial heard a shout coming from the victim prompting her to turn around wherein she saw the suspect stabbed the victim.

The latter then tried to pacify the suspect but she was being threatened. She forced her to run to their neighbor for immediate assistance.

The victim was brought to Zanorte Medical Center but was pronounce dead by the attending physician due to twelve (12) stabbed wounds sustained on the different parts of her body.

The suspect was also confine at said Hospital. Accordingly after the incident, suspect allegedly committed suicide by stabbing himself that sustained three (3) stabbed wounds at his stomach.

The weapon used during the incident was still unrecovered. Polanco Municipal Police Station is now preparing pertinent documents for filing appropriate charges in court.

Brgy Chairman suspect in Shooting Incident
SIRAWAI, Zamboanga del Norte – Brgy Chairman was suspect in Shooting incident transpired at Brgy Lubok, Sirawai, Zamboanga del Norte at about 7:05 PM of June 5, 2019.

The victim was identified as Arconado Banguih Saing, 45 years old, male, married and a resident of Brgy. Pula Bato, Sirawai, Zamboanga del Norte.

Investigation disclosed that the victim together with his wife identified as Jamjariah Saing were on their way to Mosque to pray, when he was shot several times by the suspect whom the victim identified as Hon. Gani Waja Brgy Chairman of Brgy. Balonkan, Sirawai, Zamboanga del Norte.

The victim sustained five (5) gunshots wound at the different part of his body and was rushed to the Siocon District Hospital for medical attention.

PNP elements of 905th Maneuver Company of RMFB9 and Sirawai Municipal Police Station are now conducting hot pursuit operation against the fleeing suspect.

Top 10 Most wanted person of Don Victoriano Municipal Police Station, Misamis Occidental, Captured
MUTIA, Zamboanga del Norte - Operatives of Mutia Municipal Police Station, CIDG-Zamboanga del Norte and Don Victoriano Municipal Police Station - Misamis Occidental, PRO10, conducted a joint manhunt operation in Barangay Alvenda, Mutia, Zamboanga del Norte at about 2:45 PM of June 5, 2019.

The operation was resulted to the arrest of Jemmy Gandamon Tumagna, 43years old, single, construction worker and a resident of Brgy Alvenda, Mutia, Zamboanga del Norte, Top 10 Most wanted person of Don Victoriano Municipal Police Station, Misamis Occidental, PRO10.

He was arrested by virtue of a Warrant of Arrest issued by Judge of RTC10, Branch 16, Tangub City for the crime of Robbery with Violence Against or Intimidation of Persons docketed under Criminal Case Number TC-2008-074 dated February 10, 2009 with bail bond recommended amounting to One Hundred Thousand pesos (Php100, 000.00) for his temporary liberty.

The accused is now detained at Mutia Municipal Police Station for proper disposition.

May 27-29, 2019 – Reported incident in ZaNorte


Wanted Person Cuffed in Zambo Norte
LEON POSTIGO, Zamboanga del Norte - PNP personnel of Leon B. Postigo Municipal Police Station led by Police Lieutenant Najib B Alip conducted law enforcement operation at Brgy. Manil, Leon B. Postigo, Zamboanga del Norte at about 10:45 AM of May 27, 2019.

The operation was led to the arrest of Felix Gumandoy Atay, Sr. 51 years old, male, married, Electrician, Colllege level, a native of Brgy. Carang, Dapitan City and a resident of Brgy. Manil, Leon B. Postigo, who was charged for Attempted Homicide.

The case was docketed under Criminal Case Number 13076 issued by Presiding Judge of 3rd MCTC, Sindangan, Zamboanga del Norte, dated May 7, 2019, with bail recommended amounting to Thirty-six Thousand Pesos (₱36,000.00).

He is now temporarily detained at Leon B. Postigo MPS for proper disposition and documentation.

2 Arrested in Zambo Norte for Attempted Murder Charges
LABASON, Zamboanga del Norte - Police operatives of Labason Municipal Police Station led by Police Major Khisna B Asaali and 901st RMFB9 jointly conducted Intel Driven Manhunt Operation at Brgy. Balas, Labason, Zamboanga del Norte at about 10:00 AM of May 27, 2019.

The operation was led to the arrest of Jumar Narciso Abugan, male, 56 years old, married, farmer and a resident of Sitio Sibulan, Brgy. Gil Sanchez, Labason, and Armando Galea Narciso, male, 48 years old, widow, farmer and resident of Sitio Jai, Brgy. Balas, Labason.

They were arrested by virtue of warrant of arrest signed by Presiding Judge of RTC, 9th judicial region, Branch 28, Liloy, Zamboanga del Norte issued on April 11, 2019 with Criminal Case Nr L-003652 for the crime of Attempted Murder with recommended bail bond fixed at ₱120,000.00 for their temporary liberty.

Arrested wanted persons are now temporary detained at Labason MPS for proper disposition.

Man Held in Illegal Possession of FA’s in relation to COMELEC Gun Ban
SIOCON, Zamboanga del Norte - The person of Ronilyn Awid Samod, 24 years old, married and a resident of Barangay Manaol, Siocon, Zamboanga del Norte appeared in Siocon MPS and reported that at about 10:25 PM of May 29, 2019.

She rportd that while they were at the fish pond of Brgy. Manaol, Siocon, ZN to get small crabs locally known kalas-kalas together with her husband and sister in law they were shot two (2) times at closed distance by certain Rene Cañete Bajo, 29 years old, married, care taker, resident of the above mentioned place using unknown hand gun.

Immediately alert team of Siocon Municipal Police Station led by Police Major Manolo T. Echem proceeded to the area and arrested the above suspect.

Recovered from his possession is one (1) unit Cal 45 pistol Falcon SN. F 05030678 loaded with eight (8) live of ammunition.

Subject person failed to present any legal documents to possess the same. Arrested suspect is now detained at Sioocn MPS for proper disposition.

May 22-25, 2019 Reported Incidents from the municipalities of Zamboanga del Norte


Vehicular Incident
JOSE DALMAN, Zamboanga del Norte - Vehicular incident transpired along the National Highway of Brgy. Madalag, Jose Dalman, Zamboanga del Norte at about 9:10 AM of May 19, 2019.

Investigation disclosed that the YTX 125 Motorcycle (with sidecar), color black, with plate no. 0901-0389875, loaded with boxes of fish, and driven by Dexter Barlaan Taata, 38 years old, married, with his wife (passenger) Lovely Jane Mondol Taata, 33 years old, both residents of Langatian, Roxas, Zamboanga del Norte was travelling from Sindangan going to Dipolog City direction and upon reaching at the place of incident, incidentally his front tire explodes resulting that he loses control of his driven motorcycle and crashed to the road.

The driver sustained injuries in different parts of his body and immediately brought by the responding PNP personnel onboard PNP-Hilux to Manukan Community Hospital for immediate treatment, thereafter, forwarded to ZANORTE Hospital, Dipolog City onboard ambulance.

2 person dead in Road Crash Incident
SINDANAGN, Zamboanga del Norte – Two person die inRoad crash accident transpired along the National Highway of Brgy. Poblacion, Sindangan Zamboanga del Norte at about 9:20 PM of May 21, 2019.

The accident was involving:
v1-one black skygo king motorcycle bearing Temporary plate number 0901-0342956, driven by Weaford Posod Taata of legal age, single and a resident of Brgy. Mandih, Sindangan, Zamboanga del Norte with one back rider identified as Reymar Ontoc Tuburan accidentally met into contact with
v2-one white and red combination Fuso cargo palletized 10 wheelers truck bearing plate number GEE 233, driven by Novie Sabandal Lagrama 33 years old, married and a resident of Purok Mahogany, Brgy. Ramon Magsaysay, R.T. Lim Zamboanga Sibugay Province. Accordingly.  

The v1 was travelling from Brgy. Goleo (South) heading to Brgy. Ramon Magsaysay (North) in speedy motion and attempted to overtake the unidentified motorcycle ahead of them.

During the course of overtaking, the Skygo King Motorcycle was accidentally hit the approaching Fuso cargo palletized 10 wheelers truck loaded with 650 cases of empty bottles of soft drinks with one helper on board named Francis Sabandal Pioquinto 22 years old, single and a resident of Brgy. Diwan, Dipolog City hitting the rear left portion of the wheel of the truck that causes to the driver of the Motorcycle as well as his back rider embedded at the wheel of the truck which resulted to their untimely death.

Both victims were brought to Sindangan District Hospital by the MDRRMC Rescue Vehicle of LGU Sindangan.

Both Vehicles were still in the incident area since the truck is unable to start the engine and the motorcycle is also unable to run.

Man Held for the Crime of "Acts of Lasciviousness
JOSE DALMAN, Zamboanga del Norte - Police operatives of Jose Dalman Municipal Police Station led by Police Captain Jefferson L Balindan conducted manhunt operation in Brgy Poblacion, Jose Dalman, Zamboanga del Norte at about 8:00PM of May 21, 2019.

The operation was resulted to the arrest of Junie Balao Liao, 66 years old, and a resident of Tamarok, Jose Dalman, Zamboanga del Norte.

He was arrested by virtue of Warrant of Arrest issued by Presiding Judge of MCTC, Sindangan, Zamboanga del norte dated April 17, 2019 for the Crime of "Acts of Lasciviousness" with bail bond amounting to Thirty-Six Thousand pesos (P36,000.00) for his temporary liberty.

Said accused is now detained at Jose Dalman MPS for proper disposition.

Carpenter Arrested for the Crime of Homicide
DIPOLOG CITY - Police operatives of Dipolog City Police Station led by Police Lieutenant Kent B Gudmalin together with Provincial Highway Patrol Unit of Zamboanga del Norte and CIDG conducted a joint manhunt operation in Pamansalan, Diwan, Dipolog City, Zamboanga del Norte at about 1:30 PM of May 21, 2019.

The operation was resulted to the arrest of Romulo Ernal Balancar, 65 years old, carpenter and a resident of Pamansalan, Diwan, Dipolog City.

He was arrested by virtue of Warrant of Arrest issued by Judge Ric S Bastasa of RTC, 9th Judicial Region, Branch 8, Dipolog City dated May 17, 2019 for the crime of Homicide docketed under Criminal Case Number 18135 without bail bond recommended (service of sentence).

He is now detained at Dipolog City Police Station for proper  disposition.

Hacking Incident
TAMPILISAN, Zamboanga del Norte - Hacking incident transpired at Brgy Camul, Tampilisan, Zamboanga del Norte at about 4:00 AM of May 23, 2019.

The victim was identified as Casimiro Nonong Salundagit, 52 years old and a resident of said above-mentioned place who was hacked by an unidentified suspect.

Investigation conducted disclosed that the victim and his live-in partner identified as Violeta Antag Largo, 39 years old, were sleeping at their room.

Meanwhile his live-in partner asked permission to go to the comfort room for a personal necessity, however, when she came back, she saw the victim soaked with blood and believed to be hacked by an unidentified suspect that prompted her to shout for help.

While thereat, her son identified as Reynante Antag Largo, 18 years old hurriedly went to their room and accordingly he bumped the unidentified suspect wearing a black Jacket with cap hurriedly ran outside the house.

Victim was brought to Liloy District Hospital for medical treatment while personnel of Tampilisan Municipal Police Station are still conducting follow-up investigation for the identity and possible arrest of the suspect.

PNP team recovered outside of their house a sharp bolo estimated to 18 inches long including the handle and one (1) empty black sling bag which was turned-over by the live-in partner.

Shooting Incident
SIOCON, Zamboanga del Norte - Shooting incident transpired at Sitio Malakubing, Barangay Malambuhangin, Siocon, Zamboanga del Norte at about 4:40 PM of May 23, 2019.

Personnel of Siocon Municipal Police Station together with the Rural Health Unit representative immediately proceeded at the area of incident purposely to verify the veracity of said report and conduct investigation.

Upon reaching at the place it was observed that the crime scene was already altered for the cadaver of the victim was removed on his position by his family.

Initial investigation disclosed that at about 4:30 PM of same date the victim identified as Ustadz Abdurahman Nating Abubakar, 37 years old, married and a resident of above-mentioned place was on his way home driving black XRM single motorcycle together with his wife and child.

Upon reaching at Sitio Malakubing, Barangay Malambuhangin, Siocon, an unidentified suspects shot the victim several times hitting on his left shoulder and right forehead that cause his instantaneous death.

Suspects hurriedly fled away towards the ravine and proceeded to the hinterland of the area.

Victim was immediately brought by his family at their residence. Recovered at the scene was one (1) piece fired cartridge case of an alleged caliber .45 pistols.

Follow-up investigation is now being conducted for the possible identification of the suspects as well as Intel Operatives of Siocon Municipal Police Station were also deployed to monitor the whereabouts of said perpetrators.

Hacking Incident
GUTALAC, Zamboanga del Norte - Police operatives of Gutalac Municipal Police Station conducted manhunt operation thru Intel driven operation at Brgy Lux, Gutalac, Zamboanga del Norte inside the Alga Bus Liner at about 1:50 AM of May 24, 2019.

The operation was resulted to the arrest of Paul Vista Inion, 46 yrs. old, married, farmer, high school level and resident of Barangay Siay, Siocon, Zamboanga del Norte.

He was arrested by virtue of warrant of arrests docketed in Criminal Case numbers L-00315 and L-003205 for Rape in Relation to R.A 7610 issued by Judge of RTC Branch 28, Liloy, Zamboanga del Norte on July 11, 2017 with no bail recommended and L-002325 for Physical Injuries in relation to RA 7610 with the same issuing court issued on May 28, 2015 with Php80,000.00 bail recommended for his temporary liberty.  

He is now detained at Gutalac Municipal Police Station for proper disposition.

Hacking Incident
SIRAWAI, Zamboanga del Norte - Hacking incident occurred at Barangay San Vicente, Sirawai, Zamboanga del Norte at about 6:00 PM of May 23, 2019.

The victim was identified as Saturnino Hidoquio Calunsag, 57 years old, married and a resident of Barangay San Vicente, Sirawai, Zamboanga del Norte.

He was allegedly hacked by his father In-law identified as Gregorio Permales Villarosa at Barangay Pisa Puti, Sirawai Zamboanga del Norte.

However he was able to evade the attacked and the assailant failed to hit him.

Sirawai Municipal Police Station and 905th RMFB9 immediately proceeded to the aforementioned place of incident in order to verify the veracity of the report.

Upon arrival thereat, responding PNP personnel saw in a distance the assailant (Gregorio Villarosa) holding/carrying his unidentified firearm with unruly behavior but then and there he noticed the presence of the troops he get inside his house and ran hurriedly scape at the backdoor of his house and fled towards shrubbery/forested area of Barangay Bitugan, southeast part of Sirawai Municipality.

Recovered evidence at the area were:
one (1) Fragmentation Hand Grenade;
one (1) 357 Magnum pistol (Revolver) with serial number 3J1937 and
five (5) live ammunition of 357 magnum;
one (1) Improvised/ homemade shotgun with steel case magazine and
four (4) live ammunition of 12 gauge shotgun.

Joint hot pursuit operation was now conducted by PNP personnel of Sirawai MPS and 905th RMFB9 to Barangay Bitugan southeast part of Sirawai where said suspect fled away.

Murder Suspect Arrested
SIBUTAD, Zamboanga del Norte - Police operatives of Sibutad Municipal Police Station and Gutalac Municipal Police Station conducted joint manhunt operation thru Intel driven in Purok 2, Barangay Poblacion, Sibutad, Zamboanga del Norte at about 12:30 PM of May 25, 2019.

The operation was resulted to the arrest of Danilo Tiong Baril Jr. alyas Lalang 30 years old, single, fish vendor and a resident of Purok 1, Brgy. Poblacion, Sibutad.

He was arrested by virtue of Warrant of Arrest issued by Judge of RTC9, Branch 28, Liloy, Zamboanga del Norte dated September 23, 2015 for the crime of Murder docketed under Criminal Case Number L-002596 without bail bond recommended.

He is now under the custody of Sibutad Municipal Police Station for proper disposition.

Hold-Up/ Robbery Incident
DIPOLOG CITY - Hold-up robbery incident transpired at Medina Square Enterprises establishment located at Osmeña Street, corner Echavez Street, Central Barangay, Dipolog City, Zamboanga del Norte at about 6:55 PM of May 25, 2019.

Initial investigation conducted disclosed that on or about 6:55 in the evening of the same date, unidentified male person 5’5’’ in height, medium built, wearing red t-shirt with cap approached the cashier booth and pointed his short firearm caliber 45 at the cashier/owner of said establishment identified as Mian Wu, 52 years old, married and declared hold-up.

The suspect then instructed the cashier to put all the cash money inside at his cash case sling bag and then hurriedly left at the establishment.

The witness/customer named Ereneo Lapiseros Piscos, 50 years old, married and a resident of Barangay Dr. Rizal, Katipunan, noticed three [3] unidentified male persons onboard at black/white combination Honda XRM parked at the corner outside at the said establishment.

 The two [2] suspects wearing jacket with hood with face mask were waiting outside and then the other one [1] suspect wearing red t-shirt with cap hurriedly went at the cashier booth and declared hold-up, took the cash money then he hurriedly went at his companion onboard on their vehicle and fled going to Osmeña St going to Brgy Biasong, Dipolog City.

Estimated cash taken by the suspects was more or less One Hundred Fifty Thousand pesos [Php 150,000.00]. Investigation is still being conducted by Dipolog City Police Station to identify and arrest the suspects

May 11-16,2019 - Reported Incidents from the municipalities of Zamboanga del Norte


Report on Bomb Threat Call
SINDANGAN, Zamboanga del Norte - On May 11, 2019 at about 3:21 PM, mobile phone number 09651364573 called Sindangan Municipal Police Station hotline informing that there was a bomb planted inside Sindangan Cultural Center located at Brgy Disud, Sindangan, Zamboanga del Norte where the necrological service of the slain ABC President Edgardo Pudpud Viñas was held.

The caller was a male but did not reveal his identity and uttered “nakonsenysa nako mam kay naa man gud bomba gitanom sulod sa cultural center”.

Immediately, Sindangan Municipal Police Station led by Police Major Domingo S Murillo II organized a responding team in coordination with Zamboanga del Norte PPO Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) team.

Attendees of the said necrological service were instructed to get out from the venue and then the responding team searched for the alleged bomb however it yielded negative result.

After the area was cleared, the necrological service resumed and successfully completed.

Hacking Incident
DAPITAN CITY - Hacking incident transpired at Purok Mangga, Brgy Ba-ao, Dapitan City, Zamboanga del Norte at about 5:45 PM of May 10, 2019.

Accordingly, victim identified as Napoleon Caincay Hayo, 63 years old, single, a resident of Brgy Ba-ao, Dapitan City together with his friend identified as Jaime Unabia were walking home from the corns field.

Upon reaching near the house of certain Warly Jarapan, the suspect identified as Sixto Selorio Furton, 70 years old, a resident of same place, armed with a bolo, waylaid them and suddenly hack the victim several times.

The victim sustained hack wounds on his right eyebrow, upper nose, left side upper nape and on his back and manage to run and seek help from his sister identified as Rona Bermudo who brought him to Jose Rizal Memorial Hospital and later forwarded to Zanorte Medical Center for medical treatment.

Suspect voluntarily surrendered to the responding PNP personnel and turned-over his bolo with scabbard measuring 16 inches long including the handle.

Suspect is now detained at Dapitan City Police Station. Motive of the incident was personal grudge.

Arrest of Wanted Person
LILOY, Zamboanga del Norte - Police operatives of Liloy Municipal Police Station have arrested a 43-year old female at Barangay Fatima, Liloy, Zamboanga del Norte at about 1:10 PM of May 10, 2019.

Police Brigadier Gen. Emmanuel Luis D Licup, PRO9 Director identified the arrested as Sheevlyn Saladaga Unsang, 43 years old, female, married, Filipina, housewife and resident of Barangay Fatima, Liloy, Zamboanga del Norte.

She was arrested by virtue of Warrant of Arrest Issued by Judge of RTC-9 Branch 28, 9th Judicial Region, Liloy, Zamboanga del Norte dated May 8, 2019 for the crime of Estafa with Criminal Case number L-003697 with a Bail Bond recommended for his temporary liberty was fixed at Php120,000.00.

Said arrested person is now detained at Liloy Municipal Police Station for proper disposition




Man Held in Zambo Norte for Violation on Sec. 261 of Omnibus Election Code
ROXAS, Zamboanga del Norte - A 29-year old man was apprehended by elements of 97th Infantry Battalion AFP team led by Lt. Col. Rufino Lim De Leon, Battalion Commander together with personnel of Roxas Municipal Police Station led by Police Major Said A Indanan during Joint PNP/AFP COMELEC Checkpoint at Barangay Nabilid, Roxas, Zamboanga del Norte at about 10:10 PM of May 12, 2019.

Police Brigadier Gen. Emmanuel Luis D Licup, PRO9 Director identified the apprehended person as Abner Baliling Viloria, male, married, 29 years old and a resident of Denoman, Roxas, Zamboanga del Norte. accordingly, one of the AFP personnel flagged down a suspicious person riding Honda Beat Motorcycle and later identified as Abner Baliling Viloria, male, married, 29 years old and a resident of Denoman, Roxas, Zamboanga del Norte.

The person being held exhibits unnatural reaction which prompted the AFP personnel to conduct body search to the person and confiscated from his possession a bundle of peso bills in different denomination.

Said person was brought to Roxas Municipal Police Station along with the confiscated money for inventory with the presence of Delia M. Lagata, Election Officer III of COMELEC Roxas, Zamboanga del Norte.

Confiscated from Abner Viloria the 30 pcs 500.00 peso bills, 404 pcs 100.00 peso bills and 30 pcs 1000.00 peso bills amounting to Eighty-Five Thousand Four Hundred (Php 85,400.00) Pesos.

Subject person is temporarily detained at Roxas MPS for further investigation.

6 Held in Zambo Norte for Violation on Sec. 261 of Omnibus Election Code
Six individuals were held for Violation on Sec. 261 of Omnibus Election Code at Purok 2, Barangay Singclot,. Guipos, Zamboanga del Sur at about 12:00 PM of May 12, 2019.

Police Brigadier Gen. Emmanuel Luis D Licup, PRO9 Director identified the following six (6) persons as:
Ricardo Capacio y Himaya, 51 years old, married, resident of Purok 2, Singclot,
Florentino Aviar y Guadalquiver,45, years old, married, resident of Purok 1, Población, Guipos,
Roger Bugwat y Castola, 51 years old, married, resident of Purok 2, Singclot, Guipos,
Teodoro Sario y Pacuin, 67 years old, married, a resident of Purok 2, Singclot, Guipos,
Manuel Divinagracia y Banilad, 44 years old, married, resident of Purok 2, Barangay Singclot,Guipos, Zamboanga del Sur,
Mario Delostrico y Talledo, 44 years old, married and a resident Purok 1, Singclot, Guipos, Zamboanga del Sur.

Accordingly, prior to the incident, the Zamboanga del Sur - Provincial Mobile Force Company was conducting mobile patrol along the vicinity of Guipos and upon report of a concerned citizen for alleged vote buying/selling the team responded and upon reaching at Purok 2, Barangay Singclot, Guipos, Zamboanga del Sur, they saw a few people gathered at the house of one Ricardo Carpio.

The team personally saw one person give a brown envelop to the other persons and upon received they put the brown envelop inside their pocket. When they (respondent) saw the Police Officers, accordingly, they scattered and run into different direction.

Then and there, the police officer called them to return and requested to show what are inside in their pocket.

Subsequently, the police officers recovered from their possession were the following items such as; nine (9) pieces of sample ballot and cash worth seventeen thousand five hundred four pesos (Php 17, 504). 

After the incident, the alleged suspects of vote buying/selling were now turned over from the Provincial Mobile Force Company (PMFC) to Guipos Municipal Police Station as well as the pieces of evidences.

PNP personnel of Guipos Municipal Police Station are now still conducting thorough investigation and file appropriate charges against the six (6) respondents.

Fire Incident
DAPITAN CITY - Fire incident occurred inside the Gloria de Dapitan, particularly at the Wardrobe Building Brgy Dawo, Dapitan City at about 7:30 AM of May 16, 2019.

Immediately, personnel of Daspitan City Police Station coordinated with the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), Dapitan City and responded the said incident.

Initial investigation conducted by Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), Dapitan City, fire started at the Wardrobe building which scattered towards Horror house.

The said fire incident reached Alert Level Charlie, which nearby municipalities Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) responded the said fire incident.

At about 8:45 AM of same date BFP Dapitan City declared fire in under control and at about 9:25 AM same date personnel of BFP Dapitan City declared fire out.

Investigation still conducted to determine the cause of fire. Estimated amount of damaged of properties one million pesos.

Road Crash Accident
DAPITAN CITY - On May 15, 2019 at about 3:30 PM, a road crash accident transpired at Brgy Potungan, Dapitan City involving two (2) motorcycles described as follows:
MC1- Violet Smash Suzuki MC, bearing Temp Plate no. 0901397857 driven by Julius Tubat Mutya, 20, single and a resident of Brgy Sangkol, Dipolog City with back rider Jimmy Abal Mutya, 51, male, also a resident of same place; while
MC2- Black Skygo MC, bearing Plate no. JA 38727 driven by Vergil Castillo Acevedo, 45 yo, male, a resident of Purok 3, Brgy Potungan, Dapitan City.

Investigation conducted disclosed that at about 3:30 PM of same date, MC1 was travelling behind MC2 traversing the National Highway going to Dipolog City. Upon reaching at the place of incident, MC1 U-turned to the right lane and suddenly crossed the national highway but it was collided with MC2 which was travelling from behind.

The driver of MC2 was thrown from his driven motorcycle inflicting serious injuries on the different parts of his body that resulted to his instantaneous death while the driver of MC1 and his back rider also sustained slight injuries on the different parts of their body were brought to Jose Rizal Memorial hospital for medication.

Motorcycles involved were temporarily impounded at Dapitan City Police Station for proper disposition.

Man Held in Sindangan COMELEC Checkpoint
SINDANGAN, Zamboanga del Norte -  Police elements of Sindangan Municipal Police Station led by Police Major Domingo Suarez Murillo II together with the RFMB9 901st personnel conducted COMELEC checkpoint at Barangay Ramon Magsaysay, Sindangan, Zamboanga del Norte at about 4:00 AM of May 15, 2019.

The operation was led to the interception of Danilo Gantalao Olag, 31 years old, male, single, a resident of Brgy. Mangilay, Siayan, Zamboanga Del Norte, who committed a violation in relation to COMELEC Resolution no. 10446, sec 261 of the Omnibus Election Code Art XXII, Sec 32 of RA no. 7166, recovered from his possession are the following items:
a. one (1) sling bag colored black;
b. one (1) unit of colored black Uzi .9mm para with serial no. X902070989
c. two (2) magazines with twenty-two (22) live ammos.

The suspect was brought to Sindangan District Hospital for physical/medical examination and later brought to Sindangan Municipal Police Station for filing appropriate charges in court.
