Wanted Person Cuffed in La Libertad, Zamboanga Del Norte

LA LIBERTAD, Zamboanga Del Norte (Aug. 31, 2018) - Combined PNP team of La Libertad Municipal Police Station and Dapitan City Police Station conducted manhunt operation at Brgy Singaran, La Libertad, Zamboanga Del Norte at about 8:30AM of August 31, 2018.

The operation was resulted to the arrest of Renie Wate Vidad, 50 years old, married and a resident of afore- said place.

He was arrested by virtue of Warrant of Arrest issued by Judge Hilarion Jonathan G. Maagad of MTC, 9th RTC, Dapitan City dated August 20, 2018, docketed in Criminal Case no 18202 for Violation of PD 449 known as Illegal cockfighting with bail bond amounting to Php 36,000.00.

The Arrested wanted person is now detained at La Libertad MPS for proper disposition.

Operation against Illegal Fishing

JOSE DALMAN, ZaNorte (Aug. 31, 2018) - On August 29, 2018 at about 9:00 PM, elements of Jose Dalman MPS received a report that a group of persons were illegally fishing at the municipal seawater of1Jose Dalman, Zamboanga del Norte.

Immediately, PNP personnel of Jose Dalman MPS together with Municipal Fish Coordinator- Mr. Rex Labadlabad Moncada and Bantay Dagat Carmelo Balbosa Berdera proceeded to aforementioned place.

Upon arrival at the seashore of Brgy. Tabon, Jose Dalman, Zamboanga Del Norte, certain Felix Tamayo Mateo, 32 years old, married, fisherman and a resident of said place turned-over to the responding personnel two fishing boat:

One with boat markings “Jhon Ford”, color blue, operated by Dexter Bayawa y Bundal, 27 years old, single, and resident of Siari, Sindangan, ZN and the other

One without markings, color green, operated by William Payusan y Luntad, 36 years old, married and Willy Boy Payusan y Luntad, single, both residents of Siari, Sindangan, for violation of Municipal Fishery Ordinance No. 005-008-2015.

Said person and fishing boats were turned-over to Municipal Fish Warden Mr. Rex Moncada for identification of penalties and for proper disposition. Investigator On-Case is PO1 Jemmar Ato Banecer (0947-3947-6014).

Rape Suspect Arrested

SIBUTAD, ZNorte (Aug. 31Pr, 2018) – The PNP elements of Sibutad MPS and CIDG conducted manhunt police operation at about 5:10 PM of August 29, 2018 at Purok 2, Poblacion, Sibutad, Zamboanga Del Norte.

Arrested was Jonathan Quiňones y Tabaranza, 40 years old, male, single and a resident of Purok 2, Poblacion, Sibutad, Zamboanga Del Norte. He was arrested by virtue of warrant of arrest issued by Hon. Soledad A. Acaylar, Presiding Judge of Regional Trial Court, Ninth Judicial Region, Branch 7, Dipolog City, Zamboanga Del Norte dated April 15, 2005 for the Crime of Rape under Criminal Case # 13165 with no bail bond recommended.

During his arrest, the accused was properly informed the nature of his arrest and his constitutional rights in dialect known to him and his right to demand a physical/medical examination then, he directly undergone medical examination at RHU of this Municipality.

After which, he was brought to Sibutad MPS for proper documentation prior commitment to wanting court.

Hacking Incident

SIOCON, ZaNorte (Aug. 29, 2018) - A hacking incident transpired at Sitio Baluno, Brgy. Makiang, Siocon, Zamboanga Del Norte at about 9:20 PM of August 27, 2018. The victim was already rushed to Siocon District Hospital.

Acted on the report immediately after the receipt of said information, alert team of Siocon MPS proceeded to Siocon District Hospital to verify the veracity of report.

Upon reaching at said hospital, it is affirmative that the victim is identified as one Edgar Labisores y Gañolon, 46 years old, male, married, farmer and a resident of above-mentioned place.

Initial investigation conducted disclosed that at around 09:15pm of same date victim was discussing with his wife at their house and allegedly, the suspect Noriel Oton y Banlat alias “Nonoy”, 30 years old, male, married, farmer and a neighbor of the victim came along, interfere and without any provocation hacked the victim with the used of scythe. As a consequence thereof the victim sustained injury in his right leg. 

After the incident, the suspect fled heading towards the hinterland of Brgy. Makiang.

The Personnel of Siocon MPS is still conducting hot pursuit operation by coordinating the barangay officials of said place and adjacent barangay and other force multipliers to possibly arrest the suspect and charge him before the appropriate court. Service of Search Warrant

LILOY, ZaNorte (Aug. 29, 2018) - On August 27, 2018 at about 10:30 PM, Drug Enforcement Team of Liloy MPS, Zamboanga Del Norte Provincial Intelligence Branch and RMFB9 served the Search Warrant No. 30. For Violation of R.A. 9165 issued against Bernabe Mitate Quines of Barangay Causwagan, Liloy, Zamboanga del Norte.

The Search Warrant was signed and issued by Hon. Judge Kathia C. Adasa-Santiago of MCTC Liloy-Tampilisan 9th Judicial Region, Liloy, Zamboanga Del Norte dated August 27, 2018 at Around 11:00PM of same date.

The operating team was successfully arrest the suspect at above mentioned place.

Recovered illegal items at the suspect residence during the search as follows:

Seven pieces of small heat sealed transparent plastic sachet containing white crystalline granules believed to be “Shabu”,

One-piece hand grenade,

One piece-crumpled piece of paper served as wrapper seven sachets of shabu.

The Arrested suspect was duly informed of his constitutional rights and the anti-torture law and was brought to Liloy Integrated Health District Hospital for medical examination.

Inventory of seized illegal drugs items was witnessed by Hon. Jerrylen M Dionaldo and Nolie Montemor both elected officials of said barangay. Suspect is now detained at Liloy MPS.

Wanted Person Cuffed

SINDANGAN, ZaNorte (Aug. 29, 2018) – The PNP personnel of Lopez Jaena MPS, Missamis Occidental and Sindangan MPS arrested the wanted person during the conducted of joint manhunt oearation at P-2, Brgy. Molatuhan Alto, Lopez Jaena, Misamis Occidental at about 1:10PM of August 26, 2018.

The operating team identified the arrested suspect as Jenrich Handumon y Maisog, 33yo, female, married and a resident of Brgy. Molatuhan Alto, Lopez Jaena, Misamis Occidental.

The suspect was arrestred by virtue of warrant of arrest issued by Presiding Judge Reymar L. Lacaya of RTC9, Branch2, Dipolog City for the crime of Qualified Theft (4counts) docketed under criminal case numbers S5797, S-5798, S-5799 and S-5800 with bail bond recommended fixed at Sixty Thousand (Php60,000.00) each with a total of P240,000.00.

Reported Incident for August 26, 2018

Vehicular Traffic Accident

DAPITAN CITY (Aug. 27, 2018) - On August 25, 2018 at 7:50 PM, Vehicular Traffic Accident transpired along the National Highway of Brgy Opao, Dapitan City involving Two motor vehicles resulted to physical injuries and damaged to properties.

Vehicle 1 was a Black Racal motorcycle without Plate Number attached driven by certain Alex Romeo Remosora, 40 yrs. old, male, no driver’s license and OR/CR presented, a resident of Brgy Potungan, Dapitan City while

Vehicle2 was a Hino Rural Transit passenger bus with body nr 10514 driven by Felinor Seines Diao, 42, male, married, a resident of Brgy San Roque, Rizal, ZN. 

Initial investigation conducted disclosed that V1 was running from Brgy Polo to Brgy Opao, Dapitan City without headlight while V2 was running in opposite direction.

Upon reaching at the place of accident particularly at the curve lane, V1 overtook another vehicle occupying the opposite lane and accidentally bumped to the incoming V2.

The motorcycle fell on the road and the driver was thrown off and incurred injuries on the different parts of his body.

The responding CDRRMC ambulance brought the victim to Jose Rizal Memorial Hospital for medical treatment while vehicles involved were temporary impounded to Dapitan CPS for proper disposition. Investigator is PO2 Julius Pelusas, 0947444086.

Dead Person Found

MANUKAN, ZaNorte ( Aug. 27, 2018) - On August 25, 2018 at about 9:00am, Manukan MPS received a report from a concerned citizen that a certain Adriano Talad Yorong, 78 years old, widow was found dead inside his house situated at Sitio Bugatong, Brgy Disakan, Manukan, Zamboanga Del Norte.

Investigation conducted disclosed that the victim was last seen by the populace at around 10:00AM of August 22, 2018.

Accordingly, at around 6:00am of August 25, 2018, his nephew Julius Sumoda Sacome, 40 years old went to the house of his uncle purposely to sharpen his bolo. But then he smell an unusual odor coming from inside the house and when he verified he noticed that there was a trace of blood stain underneath the house of the victim and when he tried to open the door, it was tightly locked and he decided to report it to the Brgy. Hall of Disakan, Manukan and seek further assistance to Manukan MPS.

Based on the examination of the cadaver by Dr. Rainer Alonzo-MHO, the cause of death is head injury two inches to the application of an object to the head.

Personnel of Manukan MPS are still conducting follow-up investigation to establish motive, possible identity and arrest of the suspect.

1 Dead, 1 Wounded in Law Enforcement Operation in Labason, Zamboanga Del Norte

LABASON, Zamboanga del Norte (Aug. 27, 2018) – The lone suspect was killed while one member of operating troops was wounded during the conduct of Law enforcement operation in Labason municipality in the neighboring province of Zamboanga del Norte Saturday, Aug. 25 at about 1:20am, police official said.

Police Regional Office 9 PIO Chief PCINSP Helen L. Galvez disclosed that the Elements of Zamboanga Del Norte Provincial Intelligence Branch, 901st MC-RMFB9, Zamboanga Del Norte Provincial Mobile Force Company, 42nd IB-Phil Army in coordination of Labason MPS conducted joint Intel Driven Manhunt Operation against lawless element Kamar Yusop at Barangay New Salvacion in the said municipality.

PCINSP Galvez said that prior to the operation, operating teams have conducted close Intel monitoring of the said subject person on which a positive information was gathered regarding the whereabouts of certain Kamar Yusop, 29 years old, male, married, farmer, a lawless element affiliated with Sumingal group based at Kalawit municipality and a resident of Brgy. New Salvacion of said municipality.

Galvez said that the subject person has a pending Warrant of Arrest for the crime of Arson with Criminal Case #“I-6649 with no bail bond recommended issued by Anthony Isaw, CPA, Presiding Judge of RTC, Branch 24 Ipil, Zamboanga Sibugay. Another Warrant of Arrest for the crime of Frustrated Murder with the use of Loose Firearms with Criminal Case # I-6934 with One hundred thousand pesos (Php100, 000.00) bail bond recommended issued by Vicente S. Dela Plaza II, Presiding Judge of RTC, Branch 24, Ipil, Zamboanga Sibugay, she added. 

Galvez explained that while serving the warrant of arrest, the assaulting team led by PSI Ernesto Etorne Jr., Company Commander of 901st RMFB9 entered the house of the subject person, the suspect was able to sense and fired upon the assaulting team using short firearm hitting police officer that prompted the team to retaliate and neutralized the suspect (Kamar Yusop).

Wounded PNP personnel identified as PSI Etorne was immediately brought to Labason District Hospital, Brgy La-Union this municipality for immediate medication while the Labason MPS investigation team was on the way  proceeding at the area to secure the crime scene, Galvez said.

The wounded suspect was also immediately brought to the aforementioned hospital however, the attending Physician declared him Dead on Arrival (DOA), she said.

PSI Ernesto Etorne Jr was then immediately brought to Dipolog City for proper medical treatment on his gunshot wounds incurred during the operation while the suspect is still at Labason Hospital for SOCO investigation and subsequently for proper turn over to his immediate family. (By JONG CADION)

August 24, 2018 Reported Incident

Hacking incident

SIBUCO, ZaNorte (Aug. 25, 2018) - Hacking incident transpired at Brgy. Basak, Sibuco, Zamboanga Del Norte at about 1:57 AM of August 24, 2018 wherein the victim was identified as Julito Lasmona Abelario, 47, farmer, Grade 5 , and a resident of the above mentioned barangay.

The Suspect was identified as one Jerry Francisco, Male, Married, Filipino and a resident of Barangay Basak, Sibuco, Zamboanga Del Norte.

Initial investigation conducted disclosed that the victim was hacked at the resident of Joebert Salisi resident of same Barangay at about 9:00 PM of August 23, 2018 and he was immediate rushed to Sibuco Rural Health Unit.

Furthermore, Sibuco MPS immediately conducted manhunt operation againsts the suspect. Motive of said incident is still for further investigation.

Vehicular Accident

JOSE DALMAN, ZaNorte (Aug. 25, 2018) - Vehicular accident transpired along the provincial road of Sitio Crossing Tamil, Brgy. Tamil, Jose Dalman, Zamboanga Del Norte at about 12:30 PM of August 23, 2018.

According to the bystanders thereat, both involved motorcycles were being removed by the drivers from the point of impact.

Initial investigation conducted disclosed that at about 12:00 PM of same date, while the XRM motorcycle color red, with plate number JS 5409, driven by Delmark Epo, 25 years old, married and a resident of Brgy. Lumaping, Jose Dalman, Zamboanga Del Norte, is travelling from their resident going to Brgy. Poblacion of this Municipality, upon reaching at the place of incident he accidentally bumped by a XRM motorcycle, color blue, with plate number JA 30052, driven by Kimson Esolana Rabolan, 25 years old, resident of Brgy. Ilihan, Jose Dalman, ZN with his three back riders namely;

Calendaria Cenas, 49 years old,

Elmar Cenas, 9 years old and

Samantha Kimberly Labina, 4 years old, all residents of Brgy. Labakid of this Municipality causing them injuries in different parts of their bodies and immediately brought to Jose Dalman Rural Health Unit by the concerned citizen assisted by the drivers for their immediate treatment.

Further, forwarded to Zamboanga Del Norte Hospital Dipolog City and the drivers of the involved motorcycles sustained a minor injury. Involved motorcycles were brought by the responding police officer to Jose Dalman MPS for proper disposition.

4 person was killed in Hacking Incident

SALUG, ZaNorte (Aug. 25, 2018) – Four person were killed including 8-year old child in Hacking incident transpired at Barangay Canawan, Salug, Zamboanga Del Norte at about 11:40am of August 24, 2018. Immediately, PNP personnel of Salug MPS responded on said on the reported incident.

Upon arrival at the area, the responding team saw the dead body of the victim lying down at the stairway at the kitchen part of the house who was later identified as Nora Derama y Moncano, 40 years old, married, housewife and Upon entering of the assaulting team inside of the victim’s house, the team furthered discovered another dead body of a hacked victim later identified as Justine Derama y Moncano (Son), 8 years old, and grade 2 pupil of Canawan Elementary School.

After clearing the victim’s house, responding team cordoned the house surroundings and discovered another dead body sustained hack wounds later identified as Paquito Derama, 45 years old, farmer husband of Nora Derama.

Initial investigation and information gathered from a certain Alonia Moncano y Agraviador, mother of Nora Derama, 75 yrs. old, married and a farmer of occupation and a neighbor of the victims.

That at about 11:30 o’clock in the morning of August 24, 2018 she was wondered that it was almost about noon but the house of the victim was still closed.

She went to the house of his daughter and discovered that his daughter Nora Derama was dead lying down at the stairways at the kitchen of the said house.

5 Arrested in Dipolog City Drug Bust

DIPOLOG CITY (Aug.22, 2018) – The intelligence operatives/City Drug Enforcement Team of Dipolog CPS in coordination with PDEA9 five persons during the conduct of drug buy-bust operation at Magsaysay St., Villanueva Compound, Barangay Miputak, Dipolog City on August 18, 2018 at about 11:25 PM,

The operating troops identified the the arrested of five personalities as:

Arnold Abrasaldo y Estanil, 35 years old, single, driver, Magsaysay St., Miputak, Dipolog City,

Aldwin Abrasaldo y Estanil, 35 years old, single, electrician, resident of Magsaysay St., Miputak, Dipolog City,

Oliver Manisan y Gumanturan, 27 years old, Booker Agent, resident of Barra, Dipolog City,

Marlon Pesa y Pasco, 35 years old, widower, Brgy. Uno, Katipunan, ZN and

Florante Supangan y Laluyan, 43 years old, married, electrician and a resident of Magsaysay St., Miputak, Dipolog City.

The operatives confiscated/recovered from the possession and control of the suspects the following items wereL

Two pieces medium size heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing white crystalline granules believed to be shabu,

Four pieces small size heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing white crystalline granules believed to be shabu,

 Five pieces transparent plastic sachet containing residue believed to be shabu,

Eight pieces empty transparent plastic sachet (assorted sizes),

Two pieces plastic straw used as improvised scoop,

Eleven pieces improvised disposable lighter (assorted color),

Three pieces rolled aluminum foil,

One piece blue pouch served as shabu container,

Two pieces stainless scissors with blue and yellow handle,

One unit Samsung J7 Pro Cellular Phone (possession of Arnold),

One unit black leather wallet (possession of Arnold),

Two pieces assorted pawnshop receipt,

One piece black leather wallet (possession of Aldwin),

One-piece Five Hundred Peso bill [Php500.00] bearing SN EO970794,

One thousand one hundred fifty pesos assorted bills believed to be proceeds money,

One unit Cherry Mobile Cellular Phone color pink (possession of Aldwin),

One unit A-6 Cellular Phone color black (possession of Oliver) and

One unit Cherry Mobile Cellular Phone R-6 color black.

Also declared in the presence of the witnesses and arrested suspects is one piece small size heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing white crystalline granules believed to be shabu which was bought by the poseur buyer from the abovementioned suspect during the actual buy-bust operation as buy-bust evidence.

Proper inventory and markings of all confiscated/seized items was done at the above mentioned place in the presence of the witnesses Mr. Samuel Amatong–Media Representative and Hon. Raymund Yu–Elected Barangay Official.

The Suspects are now temporary detained at Dipolog City Police Station pending filing of appropriate charges in court.

All confiscated drug items still under the custody of this office prior turned-over to Provincial Crime Laboratory for laboratory examination/weighing while the non-drug items were deposited at said station for proper disposition.

Estimated market value of confiscated illegal drugs (shabu) amounting to Ten Thousand Pesos (Php10, 000.00).

1 chiled died in Vehicular Traffic Accident

GUTALAC, Zamboanga del Norte (Aug.23, 2018) – One child was died in Vehicular accident transpired at Brgy. La Libertad, Gutalac , Zamboanga Del Norte at about 11:35AM of August 21, 2018.

The victim was identified as Arjame Ponce Y Apurado, 5 years old child and temporarily residing of said place, he was accidentally bumped by a Mazda, Bongo, color gold silver, bearing plate no. 09107 Temp. The vehicle was owned and driven by Rogen Sususco Y Tamparong, 22 years old, single, businessman and a resident of Brgy, Sto. Niño, Gutalac, Zamboanga Del Norte.

The Personnel of Gutalac MPS proceeded to Labason MPS in response to the cell phone call from personnel of Labason MPS that the driver Rogen Sususco Y Tamparong surrendered to said Police station.

 Initial investigation conducted by personnel of Gutalac MPS disclosed that the driver allegedly he accidentally bumped a child who was about to cross the National Highway along Brgy. La Libertad Gutalac and at that moment he managed to brought the child to Labason District Hospital who later identified as one Arjame Ponce Y Apurado for medical attention but unfortunately the child was pronounced dead by the attending physician. 

Meanwhile, at about 12:42 PM of August 21, 2018, subject driver and his vehicle to Gutalac MPS for proper disposition. Investigator on case is PO1 Celbert Tendero Berjame with contact number 0948-294-7804.

Woman Held in Katipunan, Zamboanga Del Norte for Libel in Relation to R.A 10175

KATIPUNAN, Zamboanga del Norte (Aug.23, 2018) - ThePNP personnel of Katipuan MPS conducted manhunt operation at Barangay Tuburan, Katipunan, Zamboanga Del Norte at about 10:20AM of August 21, 2018.

The operatrion was led to the arrest of Chermine Bulagao y Atang, Female, 30 years old, and a resident of above-mentioned place.

The accused was arrested by virtue Warrant of Arrest (WoA) duly signed and issued by Hon. Jose Rene G. Dondoyano, Presiding Judge of 9th Judicial Region, Regional Trial Court, Branch 6, Bulwagan ng Katarungan, Dipolog City. The WoA was dated August 10, 2018 for “Libel in Relation to R.A 10175” docketed under Criminal Case No.: 13-2018-dpl with bail bond recommended fixed the amount of Forty Eight thousand pesos (Php 48,000.00) for her temporary liberty.

Subject person who was listed in our Target Acquisition List of Wanted Person Municipal Level is now detained to Katipunan MPS for proper disposition.

1 person wounded in Shooting Incident

SALUG, Zamboanga del Norte (Aug. 23, 2018) – One person was wounded in Shooting incident transpired at Brgy Liguac, Salug, Zamboanga Del Norte at about 8:10 AM of August 20, 2018.

Responding police identified the victim as Manol Randaan Y Catawie, 25 yrs. old, male, single, jobless a resident of Brgy Pacuhan, Salug was allegedly shot by a riding in tandem suspect.

Investigation disclosed that victim together with his brother identified as Roberto Randaan, 26 years old, married, were riding in a motorcycle driven by the victim and was travelling from Brgy Pacuhan to Poblacion, Salug, Zamboanga Del Norte. However, upon reaching at Brgy Liguac Salug, two suspects riding in tandem in a color white motorcycle without plate number attached suddenly overtook them and the back rider shot three times hitting the victim on his right arm.

Fortunately, the victim managed to swerve his driven motorcycle and tumbled to the ground. Further, the victim and his brother managed to ran to the vegetation while the suspects fled towards Brgy Pukay Salug, Zamboanga Del Norte.

The responding police recovered from the crime scene was one piece fired empty cartridge of caliber 45. The Victim was brought to Zamboanga Del Norte Medical Hosiptal, Dipolog City for medication while his brother was unharmed. Salug MPS now conducting thorough investigation. 1 person wounded in Stabbing Incident

SIBUTAD, Zamboanga del Norte (Aug.23, 10`8) – One person was wounded in Stabbing incident transpired at Purok 5, Brgy Sipaloc, Sibutad, Zamboanga Del Norte.

Initial investigation disclosed that prior to the incident at around 7:30pm of August 19, 2018, Police identified the victim as Benjamin Tawe Y Gandamon, 37 years old, male, single and a resident of Purok 5, Brgy Sipaloc, Sibutad, together with his friends were having a drinking spree at the store owned by Ariel Pumicpic on the aforementioned place.

Moments later, the suspect identified as Romel Fuentes Y Sumigot, 25 years old, male, single also a resident of same place together with his friends arrived at the store and joined the group of the victim in drinking spree.

After a while, the two groups engaged in an intense argument that resulted to a fist fight. The victim Benjamin tried pacifying the commotion however the suspect Romel drew a knife and stabbed the victim hitting his left upper stomach and was immediately brought to Sibutad Municipal Hospital by his friends for medical attention.

During the follow-up operation, the suspect was arrested at his residence mentioned above and also recovered the knife used in the incident.

The Suspect was then brought to Sibutad Municipal Hospital for medical examination and now temporarily detained at Sibutad MPS for filing of appropriate charges while victim is still confined at said hospital. Investigator is PO1 Venjie C. Sangcom, 09075692570.

Top 3 MWP arrested

MANUKAN, Zamboanga del Norte (Aug.23, 2018) - The Combined operatives of Zamboanga Del Norte Provincial Intelligence Branch and Manukan MPS conducted manhunt operation at Brgy. San Antonio, Manukan, Zamboanga Del Norte at around 10:30 AM of August 20, 2018.

The operation was resulted to the successful arrest of JEMAR BONTURAN CABALLO aka "Gonggong", 23 yrs old, male, single and a resident of Brgy. San Antonio, Manukan, ZN.

The suspect is TOP 3 Most Wanted Person (MWP) of Manukan MPS, who has a standing Warrant of Arrest (WoA) charged for the crime of 5 counts of RAPE in relation to RA 7610 with CC Nos. 16656, 16666, 16667, 16668 and 16669.

The WoA was issued by Presiding Judge Rogelio D. Laquihon, RTC 9th Judicial Region, Branch 7, Dipolog City with NO bail bond recommended. Accused now temporarily detained at Manukan MPS for proper disposition. Progress report follows.

Fire Incident

LILOY, Zaamboanga del Norte (Aug.23. 2018) - Fire incident transpired at Barangay Causwagan, Liloy, Zamboanga Del Norte at about 5:42PM of August 22, 2018.

Immediately thereafter, Liloy MPS proceeded to the reported area of incident to verify the veracity of the report. Upon arrival thereat, it was confirmed that there was a fire incident occurred wherein the house of a certain Vivian dela Torre Abao, 36 years old, female, married resident of brgy Causwagan, Liloy, Zamboanga Del Norte was razed by fire.  

Initial investigation conducted by the responding team from Bureau of Fire protection disclosed that the fire spread from the unattended bonfire made by the son of Mr. Almer F. Abao named Alexander Jay D. Abao four meters away from the house.

At about 5:50PM of same date, the time of fire-out is declared by the ground commander and no casualty or other establishment was affected during the said incident.

As per investigation conducted by the BFP, the estimated cost of damage was amounted to more or less Fifty Thousand Pesos (P50, 000.00).

Incident happened at around 5:25 pm of August 22, 2018 at Causwagan, Liloy, Zamboanga Del Norte. Investigator on case is PO2 Argie M. Lihaylihay with contact 09365645561.

Shooting Incident

SIOCON, Zamboanga del Norte (Aug.23, 2018) - An alleged shooting incident transpired at, Barangay Bucana, Siocon, Zamboanga Del Norte at about 9:15PM of August 22, 2018.

The PNP personnel from Siocon MPS proceeded to the above-mentioned place to verify the veracity of said report and conduct ocular inspection and investigation.

Upon reaching at the place of incident, the victim was already rushed to Siocon district hospital and the crime scene was already altered.

Initial investigation conducted by the responding team disclosed that the victim who was identified later as Arjel Layling y Estimada, 38 years old, single, jobless, a resident of Barangay S. Arabi, Siocon, Zamboanga del Norte was on his way home after buying a cigarette at the store of Armando Talaber. But upon reaching in the dark portion of the place he was shoot three times by an unidentified person using unknown caliber of a handgun hitting on the different parts of his body. The victim was able to run away and ask for help from his relatives in the area while the suspect fled on foot towards the bushy portion of said place.

Follow up investigation is now being conducted and operatives of Siocon MPS with the aid of force multiplier in the area are also deployed for possible identification of the suspect. Investigator on case is PO3 Florencio S. Cariño with contact number 09978111708.

Drug Pusher Arrested in Drug Bust

DIPOLOG CITY (Aug.19, 2018) - The Drug Enforcement Unit of Zamboanga Del Norte Police Provincial Office, Dipolog City Police Station and PDEA conducted illegal-drug buy-bust operation and at the same time Executed a Search Warrant (SW). The operation was done in the house of one John Carmel Ajero y Palma a.k.a. “Dodz”, 25 years old, single and a resident of Martinez St. Central Barangay, Dipolog City on August 18, 2018 at about 3:30pm.

The operation was made by virtue of Search Warrant No. 007-2018 issued by Hon. Judge Jose Rene G. Dondoyano-Presiding Judge of RTC IX Branch 6, Bulwagan ng Katarungan, Dipolog City.  

During the implementation of the Search Warrant, the operating team was successfully confiscated the following items:

-Two pieces medium size heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing white crystalline granules believed to be shabu, one piece crumpled aluminum foil,

-Ninety Pesos [Php90,00] believed to be cash proceeds, one piece Ding-Dong plastic container of the sachet of shabu,

-One pack plastic ice bag, nineteen pieces empty transparent plastic sachet,

-One unit electronic plastic film sealer and assorted kwarta padala receipts. 

In addition, during the search on the person of John Carmel Ajero y Palma a.k.a. “Dodz”, recovered from his possession the following items:

-One piece Samsung Dous Mobile Phone,

-Two pieces Five Hundred (500)Peso Bill bearing SN DK306608 and FN689089 as Buy-Bust money.  

Also to include, the poseur-buyer showed during the inventory

One pc. Small heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing white crystalline granules believed to be shabu as buy-bust evidence. Estimated street value of the confiscated items were amounted to Php50, 000.00.

The arrested person was temporary detained at Dipolog City Police Station for proper disposition while all confiscated drug items was immediately turned-over to Provincial Crime Laboratory for laboratory examination/weighing.

DIPOLOG CITY (Aug.19, 2018) - The Drug Enforcement Unit of Zamboanga Del Norte Police Provincial Office, Dipolog City Police Station, RMFB9 and PDEA was executed a Search Warrant inside the house of Jason Villar y Ortalez a.k.a. “Atabs”, 25 years old, single and a resident of Block 20, Lot 37, Relocation Site, Olingan, Dipolog City on August 18, 2018 at about 2:30am.

The operation was implemented by virtue of Search Warrant NO. 006-2018 issued by Hon. Judge Jose Rene G. Dondoyano -  Presiding Judge of RTC IX Branch 6, Bulwagan ng Katarungan.

The successful operation was resulted to the confiscation of the following items:

=-piece medium size heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing white crystalline granules believed to be shabu,

=One-piece Big size heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing white crystalline granules believed to be shabu,

=One piece improvised brown paper that served as container of shabu, and

=One piece disposable lighter.  Estimated street value of the confiscated items amounted to One Hundred Eighty (P180, 000.00) Pesos. 

The Suspect is now temporarily detained at Dipolog City Police Station for proper disposition. All confiscated drug items and paraphernalia were immediately turned-over to Provincial Crime Laboratory for laboratory examination/weighing. (By JONG CADION)

Slander Suspect Arrested in Dapitan City

DAPITAN CITY (Aug.17, 2018) - Police operatives of Dapitan City Police Station conducted manhunt operation at Brgy Banonong, Dapitan City, Zamboanga Del Norte at about 6:10 PM of August 15, 2018.

The operation was resulted to the arrest of one Maridol Caidic Icao, 31 years old, female, single and a resident of said place.

The subject person was arrested by virtue of Warrant of Arrest issued by Presiding Judge Hilarion Jonathan G. Maagad, of MTCC, 9TH Judicial Region, Dapitan City for violation of Grave Slander docketed under Criminal Case numbers 18189 and 18190 dated August 13, 2018 with bail bond recommended amounting to Eighteen Thousand Pesos (Php18,000.00) each.        

The arrested suspect was listed in the Weekly Target Acquisition of wanted person of this office and now temporarily detained to this station for proper disposition.

3 Escaped Minors Rescued in Dapitan City

DAPITAN CITY (Aug.17, 2018) - The PNP elements of Dapitan City Police Station have rescued three minors who escaped from Regional Rehabilitation Center for Youth (RRCY), Polanco, Zamboanga Del Norte during follow-up operation conducted by Dapitan CPS and CSWDO Juvenile Rescue Team at Tambak, Brgy. Banonong, Dapitan City at about 8:55 PM of August 15, 2018.

The minors were identified as:

Daryl Obordo y Portes, 15 yo, male, single, a resident of Brgy. Potol of this city with carnapping case filed at Sindangan, Zamboanga Del Norte,

Arnel Limod y Dumacsa, 17, male, single, a resident of Gutalac, Zamboanga Del Norte with Frustrated Homicide case and

Ronel “Mac-mac” Landero, 17, male, single, a resident of Ipil, Zamboanga Sibugay with Rape case.

Initial Investigation conducted disclosed that at around 2:00 PM of August 15, 2018, the three minors escaped from Regional Rehabilitation Center for Youth (RRCY).

They allegedly jumped over the fence at the back portion of the said center. Meanwhile, at around 9:30pm of same date the three minors were turned-over back to the Regional Rehabilitation Center for Youth (RRCY) for proper disposition.

Woman Arrested in Dapitan City for Violation of Grave Slander

Shooting Incident

SINDANGAN, Zamboanga del Norte (Aug. 17, 2018) - Shooting incident took place at Siari, Sindangan, Zamboanga Del Norte at about 5:00 PM of August 16, 2018.

Police identified the victim as Rolindo Amamangpang Y Payosa, 43years old, married, male, civilian, a resident of Siari, Sindangan, Zamboanga Del Norte while the suspect identified as Joseph Rabanal Y Mara, 61 years old, caretaker, a resident of Siari, Sindangan, Zamboanga Del Norte.

Investigation showed that the victim together with the suspect having a drinking spree at the house owned by a certain George Maquilang (seaman) where the suspect rendered as a caretaker and after several time turned into a heated arguments that prompted the victim to go home while the suspect also get the unidentified firearm inside the house.

Few minutes after, the victim get back into the said place and insisted to get inside the gate with other companions allegedly armed with a knife and attempt to stab the suspect while they were inside that prompted the suspect to pulled the unidentified short firearm tucked in his waist and shot the victim several times. The victim sustained gunshot wounds on the different parts of the body resulting to serious condition.

The victim was brought to nearby hospital by the concerned citizen for immediate medication but later referred to Zanorte Hospital, Dipolog City while the suspect was successfully arrested by the responding team.
