1 perswon was wounded in Hacking Incident

KALAWIT, Zamboangta del Norte (Jan. 21, 2019) – One person was wounded in Hacking incident while the suspect was arrested by the responding police operating team at Bgry. San Jose, Kalawit, Zamboanga Del Norte at about 8:30 PM of January 20, 2019.

The victim was identified as Edilberto Limbas Galon, 24 years old, and the suspect his older brother Noven Limbas Galon, 40 years old, both rubber tree tapper, both residents of said place.

Investigation conducted disclosed that prior to the incident at about 8:00 PM same date, the duo were having a drinking session inside their house which resulted into a heated argument due to personal grudge.

In the heights of their argument, the suspect got his bolo, hacked the victim twice hitting at the left shoulder, and fled immediately hiding at the house of their relatives.

The Victim was brought to Zamboanga Sibugay Medical Center, Ipil, Zamboanga Sibugay for medication while the suspect was arrested by the responding PNP team and detained at Kalawit MPS for proper disposition.

1 Arrested in COMELEC Checkpoint

LABASON, Zamboanga del Norte (Jan. 21, 2019) - Joint team of Labason MPS and Zamboanga Del Norte Provincial Mobile Force Company conducted COMELEC checkpoint at Labason MPS COMPAC at Brgy Malintuboan, Labason, Zamboanga Del Norte at about 7:00 AM of January 20, 2019.

The operation was led to the arrest of Marvin Maranjo Butalid, 31, security guard employed under SOSIA security agency and a resident of said place.

Confiscated from possession were the following: One (1) Cal .45 pistol grand masters STI with SN 406390, Two (2) magazine with Twelve (12) live ammos, One (1) brown bag and One (1) MC red Honda 125 without plate number.

Arrested person and seized items were in custody of Labason MPS for proper disposition.

2 dead in Fire Incident

DIPOLOG CITY (Jan. 22, 2019) – Two person was died in Fire incident transpired at Brgy. Gulayon, Dipolog City.

Initial investigation conducted disclosed that the fire started at around 12:45 AM of same date at the residence of Engr. Nesita B. Velasco, female, 64 years old, and a private practitioner located at Brgy. Gulayon, Dipolog City particularly near NIA Office.

During the incident, the house was occupied by the owner together with Angel Kishia B. Velasco, female, 11 years old (Adopted Daughter) and Lani Montallana, female, legal age and live-in partner of Engr Velasco. During the fire incident, Lani managed to escape while engineer Velasco and her adopted daughter trapped inside and died during the incident.

The cause of death and amount of structural damage is to be determined later by BFP Dipolog Fire Investigator and close coordination is now being conducted by Dipolog City Police Station.

The victim’s body is now at St. Peters Funeral Homes, while Lani is still to be located.

Top 10 Most Wanted Person Arrested

DIPOLOG CITY (Jan. 22, 2019) – Police operatives of CIDG9 and Dipolog City Police Station conducted joint manhunt operation against wanted person at Brgy. Minaog, Dipolog City at about 3:00PM of January 21, 2018.

PCSUPT Emmanuel Luis D Licup, PRO9 Regional Director identified the arrested as John Kenneth Mercurio Agan, Top 10 Most Wanted Person (City Level), male, 20 years old, single, High School Graduate, checker of Dipolog Friendly Mart located and a resident of Purok Nipa, Brgy. Minaog, Dipolog City.

The suspect was arrested by virtue of Warrant of Arrest issued by Presiding Judge Jose Rene G. Dondoyano of RTC9, Branch 6, Dipolog City dated May 6, 2016 for the crime of “Theft”, docketed under criminal case number 19778, with bail bond recommended amounting to Twenty two thousand pesos (P22, 000.00).

Said accused is now under police custody of Dipolog City Police Station for proper disposition.

Service of Search Warrant

TUNGAWAN, Zamboanga Sibugay (Jan. 18, 2019) - Police elements of Tungawan MPS led by PCI Chamer G Lacay, Chief of Police, Zamboanga Sibugay Police Office-Provincial Intelligence Branch, Zamboanga Sibugay Provincial Mobile Force Company and Military authorities conducted law enforcement operation at Purok San Flower, Brgy Libertad, Tungawan, Zamboanga Sibugay at about 12:06 AM of January 17, 2019.

PCSUPT Emmanuel Luis D Licup, PRO9 Regional Director said that the operation Gilbert B Callo, 39 years old, married, farmer, a resident of Purok Sun Flower, Brgy Libertad, Tungawan, Zamboanga Sibugay.

The suspect was arrested by virtue of Search Warrant No. B-017 for violation of RA 10591 issued by Hon. Jeanecel G. Vercide-Climaco, Presiding Judge, MTC Buug, 9th Judicial Region, Zamboanga Sibugay.

Recovered inside his residence were one (1) unit caliber .45 ACP pistol defaced, one (1) magazine with six (6) live ammos, one (1) fragmentation hand grenade, one (1) fake gold bar and two (2) wooden gold bars. Recovered items were brought to Tungawan MPS for proper disposition.

4 Arrested in Drug Buy Bust

ZAMBOANGA CITY (Jan. 18, 2019) - Drugs Enforcement Unit of Zamboanga City Police Station 11 conducted drug buy bust operation at Room 309, Empire Hotel, P Reyes Street, Zamboanga City at about 12:00 noon of January 17, 2019.

The operation was led to the arrest of four individuals after they transact with police poseur buyers in a drug buy bust.

PCSUPT Emmanuel Luis D Licup, PRO9 Regional Director identified the arrested as:

Julfadar Jjaji y Awaluddin, 39 yrs old, married,;

Rodhan Alihud y Abdulmandangan, 32 yrs old, married,

Omarsharif Umandac Y Ansang, 24 yrs. old, married, kuliglig driver, and

Al-Shaima Saral Y Malana, 30 yrs old married, housewife, of Brgy Sta Barbara, Zamboanga City who was carrying a 2 years old child. 

Confiscated from their possession were Eleven (11) sachets of suspected shabu with an estimated street value of Php5,000.00 pesos, One (1) unit Cal .38 revolver loaded with One (1) live ammunition bearing serial number 182920, Two (2 bills of 100.00 peso bill registered marked money and several drug paraphernalia.

Said confiscated items were brought to Crime Lab Office for laboratory examination while subjects are presently detained at Zamboanga City Police Station 11 for filing of appropriate charges in court. Further, said child was turn over to Women and Children Protection Desk.

Tricycle Driver Arrested in Drugs Operation

ZAMBOANGA CITY (Jan. 18, 2019) - A tricycle driver was arrested in a drug buy bust operation carried out by police operatives of Zamboanga City Police Station 4 at Moret, Brgy Canelar, Zamboanga City at about 1:00 of January 17, 2019.

PCSUPT Emmanuel Luis D Licup, PRO9 Regional Director identified the arrested man as Richie Buenviaje y Ebol aka Brown, 33 years old, born on September 12, 1985, single, tricycle driver, High School level and a resident of Alvarez, St., Brgy. Sta. Maria, Zamboanga City.

Confiscated from his possession were One (1) sachet of suspected shabu with an estimated street value of Php300.00 pesos and Three (3) bills of 100.00 peso bill registered marked money.

Said confiscated items were brought to Crime Lab Office for laboratory examination while subject is presently detained at Zamboanga City Police Station 4 for filing of appropriate charges in court.

Drug Suspect Nabbed

Zamboanga City (Jan. 19, 2019) - Operatives of Zamboanga City Police Station 5 arrested a suspected drug suspect in a drug buy bust operation at Pagkasilasa Drive Mampang, Zamboanga City at about 3:15 PM of January 16, 2019.

PCSUPT Emmanuel Luis D Licup, PRO9 Regional Director identified the arrested as Irham Makiji y Ventura aka “Muks” male, 31 years old, married, born on May 14, 1985, jobless, College level and a resident of Luciano Drive, Mampang, Zamboanga City.

Confiscated from his possession were Four (4) sachets of suspected shabu with an estimated street value of Php1,200 pesos and Three (3) bills of 100 pesos as marked money.

Confiscated items were brought to Crime Lab Office for examination while subject is presently detained at Zamboanga City Police Station 5 for filing of appropriate charges in court.

Isuzu aluminum van (closed type)loaded with Cigarettes was ransack

IMELDA, Zamboanga Sibugay (Jan, 18, 2019) - Robbery incident occurred at Barangay Balugo, Imelda, Zamboanga Sibugay on January 16, 2019 at about 7:00 AM, wherein one Luisito Basulgan Alvarado, 41 years old, married, a resident of Purok 3, Brgy Balugo, Imelda, Zamboanga Sibugay, driver of JTI International Philippine Inc. reported to Imelda MPS that the padlock of his driven Isuzu aluminum van (closed type) loaded with Mighty Green Cigarettes which was parked along the national highway of said barangay fronting Claros boarding house where he rested overnight was discovered damage.

Accordingly, when he checked his vehicle at about 7:00 AM of same date, he discovered that the padlock of the back window of the Isuzu van was forcibly destroyed by unidentified suspect/s and carted away five (5) boxes of Mighty Green cigarettes amounting to more or less one hundred forty nine thousand one hundred twenty five pesos (Php149,125.00).

Initial investigation conducted disclosed that according to a witness at around 3:00 AM of same date, he saw a man carrying three (3) boxes a few distance from the van and boarded a Rural Bus (deluxe type) heading toward Diplahan, Zamboanga Sibugay. Further, nine (9) rims of mighty green cigarettes were also found at the waiting shed where the van was parked.

Elements of Imelda MPS conducted follow-up investigation for the possible identification and arrest of the suspect/s.

January 16-18, 2019 Reported Incident from the municipalities of Zamboanga del Norte

2 Wanted Persons Captured in Sindangan, Zamboanga Del Norte

SINDANGAN, Zamboanga del Norte (Jan. 18, 2019) - An operative of Sindagan MPS has arrested two wanted persons at Barangay Datagan, Sindangan, Zamboanga Del Norte at about 3:00 PM of January 17, 2019.

PCSUPT Emmanuel Luis D Licup, PRO9 Regional Director identified the arrested as Ayum T. Malik, 37 years old, male, married, farmer, Filipino, and Weg T. Malik, 28 years old, male, married, farmer, Filipino all residents of said place for the crime of “Direct Assault With Double Attempted Murder” docketed under Criminal Case # S-5657 with Warrant of Arrest issued by Hon. Reymar L. Lacaya Presiding Judge, RTC 9 Branch 11, Sindangan, Zamboanga Del Norte.

Subject persons were apprised of their constitutional rights and later brought to Sindangan District Hospital for physical and medical examination and brought back to Sindangan MPS for proper disposition.

Prison Escapee killed by responding Police

KATIPUNAN, Zamboanga Del Norte (Jan. 19, 2019) - Police elements of Katipunan Municipal Police Station led by PCI Nestor Moit Gania Jr., Chief of Police together with the personnel of Zamboanga del Norte Provincial Jail and AFP conducted manhunt operation against prison escapee at Brgy. Dabiak, Katipunan, Zamboanga Del Norte at about 5:30AM of January 16, 2019.

PCSUPT Emmanuel Luis D Licup, PRO9 Regional Director identified the prison escapee as Roger Marog Gumial, 32 years old, who was charged for the crime of Murder and escaped last January 7, 2019.

The operating team was positively found the presence of the subject person at the residence of his father in law.

The operating team called the attention of the escaped prisoner but the latter entered inside the residence of his father-in-law and brought out one (1) hand grenade and a knife showing out to the Police Officers and other elements who surrounded the house.

He threatened the government troops that he will unlocked the grenade and throw the same at them. When he already tried to unlock the grenade, the operating team immediately shot him hitting his head that cause his death.

Meanwhile, at about 4:15 PM of same date, the team returned to Katipunan MPS and the cadaver of the subject was brought to Zamboanga Del Norte Medical Center, Dipolog City for Post Mortem Examination.

Arrest of Suspect for Direct Assault

SALUG, Zamboanga Del Norte (Jan. 18, 2019) - PNP personnel of Salug Municipal Police Station together with 97th Infantry Battalion, Phil. Army conducted COMELEC Checkpoint authorized by Election Officer III Victoria B Daligdig at Brgy Mucas, Salug, Zamboanga Del Norte at about 9:00 AM of January 16, 2019.

PCSUPT Emmanuel Luis D Licup, PRO9 Regional Director said that the operation resulted to the arrest of Judy Ordy Castillo, 61 years old, and a resident of Balakan, Salug, Zamboanga Del Norte. The authorities also impounded green Hyundai Van driven by Julharrei Tuazon Vidal of Miputak Dipolog City.

Investigation conducted disclosed that while the team is checked the luggage of said vehicle and the driver showed pertinent paper of his driven MV, suddenly the suspect alighted from the vehicle, angrily approached and pointed his forefinger to PO3 Cariño and said “are you HPG? Are you authorized? You have no authority to apprehend this van”.

Uncontended, he collared PO3 Cariño using his right hand and said in vernacular words “paylan ta mo ug kaso, daghan ko ug abogado, ipalabay ta mo sa jolo”.

This prompted the police officers to apprehend the suspect and now detained at Salug MPS while the vehicle was also impounded for proper disposition.

1 person killed in Hacking Incident

SIBUCO, Zamboanga Del Norte (Jan. 18, 2019) - One person was killed inHacking incident occurred at Sitio Lunday Upper Lakiki, Sibuco Zamboanga Del Norte at about 4:00 PM of January 17, 2019.

The victim was identified as Ignacio de los Santos Juanito, 47 years old, Male, Widow, Farmer, Filipino and a resident of Sitio Lunday 2, Lakiki, Sibuco, Zamboanga Del Norte.

He was hacked to death by one Sherwin Quino Sicang 27 years, male, married, farmer, Filipino and also a resident of the above mentioned place.

The suspect immediately submits himself to the Purok leader in the person of one Alejandro Razona.

He was later turned over to the 195th detachment, Sitio Lunday1, Curuan Zamboanga City. 

Incident Reports Jan. 15, 2019 from the municipalities of Zamboanga del Norte

Former Mayor Held in Dipolog City for the crime of Falsification of Public Official Document

DIPOLOG CITY, Zamboanga Del Norte (Jan. 16, 2019) - Combined PNP personnel of Labason Municipal Police Station and CIDG-Zamboanga Del Norte conducted law enforcement operation at Brgy Minaog, Dipolog City, Zamboanga Del Norte at about 7:30 AM of January 15, 2019.

The operation was led to the arrest of Wilfredo Subido Balais (Former Municipal Mayor of Labason, Zamboanga Del Norte), 63 years old, married, businessman with postal address of Brgy Imelda, Labason, Zamboanga Del Norte.

He was arresrted by virtue of Warrant of Arrest charged for the crime of Falsification of Public Official Document under Art 171, Paragraph 2 of the RPC under Criminal Case Number SB-18-CRM-0696 issued by Chairperson Associate Justice Rafael L Lagos of Sandigangbayan, 5th Division, Commonwealth Ave, Quezon City dated Jan 4, 2019 with bail of (P24, 000.00).

Further, the accused was released from Zamboanga Del Norte - CIDG custody after posted cash bond.

Arrested Wanted Person

LEON POSTIGO, Zamboanga Del Norte (Jan. 16, 2019) - PNP personnel of Leon Postigo Municipal Police Station conducted manhunt operation at Brgy Nasibac, Leon Postigo, Zamboanga Del Norte at around 2:30 PM of January 15, 2019.

The operation was led to the successful arrest of one Jonel Mucay Pasil, alias “Kagang”, male, 24 yrs. old, married, Farmer a resident of aforesaid place. He was arrested by virtue of a standing Warrant of Arrest charged for the crime of Robbery, Criminal Case No S-5769 issued by Judge Reymar L. Lacaya of RTC9 9th Judicial Region, Sindangan, Zamboanga Del Norte dated May 25, 2018 with bail of (Php100,000.00).

Arrested person now detained at Leon Postigo MPS for proper disposition.

January 12-15, 2019 Reported Incident in the municipalities of Zamboanga del Sur

Hacking Incident

KATIPUNAN, Zamboanga del Norte (Jan. 14, 2019) - Hacking incident transpired at Sitio Puting Bato, Brgy. Dabiak, Katipunan, Zambonaga Del Norte at about 5:20AM of January 13, 2019.

Immediately after receiving this report, PNP personnel of Katipunan MPS proceeded to the said area of incident to verify the veracity of the report.

At about 6:00 am of same date, upon arriving in the area, the responding team found one family who fell as victims of the hacking incident wherein one (1) is identified as Jelyn Sumayong Endas, 53 years old, housewife who was wounded on her face, the others were Mary Grace Sumayong Endas, single, 19 years old, jobless, Born on April 11, 1999 who immediately died after being hacked and one 9 months baby boy, Arwin Endas with hacked wound on his face, all were residents of the above mentioned place were immediately brought to Zamboanga Del Norte Medical Center for appropriate medical treatment and another one dead male person identified as Jimmy Bangquiao, legal age and resident of same place who was allegedly the suspect of the said hacking incident.

Initial investigation conducted disclosed that at about 4:00 o’clock in the morning of January 13, 2019, the said suspect, Jimmy Bangqiuao arrived at the residence of the Endas family and without any provocation and sufficient reasons went inside the premises of their house and began to hack by using his bolo. When Jelyn Endas heard the commotion she immediately arose from her bed and upon seeing Jimmy Bangquiao hacking Mary Grace and her grandson, she shouted aloud for help and at that moment her husband, Edmar Amod Endas, married, 43 years old, Born on April 10, 1976 and resident of said place together with Julito Mocas, Brgy. Tanod of Brgy. Dabiak, Katipunan, who were walking and approaching the premises of their home coming from Basketball Court of Sitio Puting Bato, Brgy. Dabiak, Katipunan, ZN heard the shout of her wife, Jelyn Endas.

Both men immediately rushed into the premises of their residence and Edmar Endas saw his wife, Jelyn fighting the suspect, Jimmy Bangquiao in front of their house. Jelyn immediately handed her husband Edmar Endas a bolo (lagaraw) for him to be able to defend himself and fight back the suspect.

Edmar was able to vanquish and managed to kill the suspect, Jimmy Bangquiao.After the incident, Edmar Amod Endas voluntarily surrendered himself unto the custody of Katipunan MPS invoking among others his right to defend his relatives against the suspect, Jimmy Bangquiao as his defense.

Man Arrested in Dapitan City for Firing his Gun

DAPITAN CITY (Jan. 13, 2019) - On January 12, 2019 at about 10:30 PM, a concerned citizen called to Dapitan City Police Station and informed that there was a person fired his handgun near the house of a certain Benny Selencio of Brgy Talisay, Dapitan City.

Acted on the report immediately, personnel of Dapitanc CPS responded to the reported place to verify the said report. Upon arrival thereat, responding team identified the suspect as Dario Aldolfo Biolanggo, 39 yo, married, a resident of the said place.  

Initial investigation conducted disclosed that at about 10:30 PM of same date, the suspect believed to be under the influence of liquor, got wild and threatened his neighbor Benny Gumba Selencio, 36 yo, male, with live-in partner, by firing his handgun pointing to the ground.

The suspect was subsequently arrested and confiscated from his possession were one unit cal. 9mm pistol with serial Nr 4126M9 Beretta, with 1 magazine loaded with 10 live ammunitions with no firearms document presented. Arrested suspect is now detained to Dapitan CPS for further investigation and filing of appropriate charges in court.

Further, confiscated firearm is still under verification to determine its legal owner and status.

Theft Suspect Arrested

DIPOLOG CITY (Jan 14, 2019) - Police operatives of Dipolog City Police Station and CIDG conducted joint manhunt operation against wanted person at Purok Violeta, Looc, Brgy. Estaka, Dipolog City, Zamboanga Del Norte at about 1:00PM of January 14, 2019.

The operation was resulted to the arrest of Reuben Binay Nazario, male, 40 years old, married, businessman and a resident of Purok Violeta, Looc, Brgy. Estaka, Dipolog City, Zamboanga del Norte.

He was arrested by virtue of Warrant of Arrest issued Presiding Judge Victoriano D. Lacaya Jr. of RTC9, Branch 9, Dipolog City dated January 11, 2019 for the crime of Qualified Theft (11 counts), docketed under criminal case numbers 22874 to 22884, with a total bail bond of Three Hundred Fifty Four Thousand Pesos (P354,000.00).

Accused was arrested at his residence through intelligence driven and is now under police custody of Dipolog

CPS.

January 9-11, 2019 R$eported Incidentrs from the municipalities of Zamboanga del Norte

2 persons wounded in Hacking Incident

SIOCON, Zamboanga del Norte (Jan. 10, 2019) – Two persons was wounded in Hacking incident transpired at Brgy. Pangian, Siocon, Zamboanga del Norte at about 9:15 PM of January 9, 2019.  Immediately upon receipt of information, alert team from Siocon MPS proceeded to the reported place of incident to conduct ocular inspection and investigation.

Upon reaching at the place of incident the responding brgy Tanod’s turn-over one (1) Ronaldo Fuentivilla Anong, 34 years old (DOB: Sept 7, 1984), male, married, farmer confiscated from his possession one bolo measuring 62 cm and one (1) Alejo Malnoc Fuentivilla, 64 years old, male, married, sikad2x driver. Confiscated from his possession one (1) scythe both resident of the above-mentioned place.

Initial Investigation conducted by the responding team disclosed that at about 8:55 in the evening of same date Ronaldo Anong was caught peeping at the house of the daughter of Alejo Fuentivilla that resulted to their heated argument and instantly hacked each other in which Alejo Fuentivilla sustained hacked wounds on his arms.

Both of them were immediately brought to Siocon District Hospital for medical examination and suspect Ronaldo Anong was informed of his constitutional and now detained at this office for proper disposition.

Drug Trafficker Nabbed

SINDANGAN, Zamboanga del Norte (Jan. 11, 2019) - Another high value target drug suspect was arrested during drug buy bust operation carried out by Leon Postigo Police Station and Sindangan Police Station at Barangay Disud, Sindangan, Zamboanga Del Norte at about 2:30PM of January 10, 2019.

Arrested suspect was identified as Darrel Bation Y Tiu, HVT level 2, watch list surrenderer, 34, male, single, a res of Brgy DoñA Josefa, Sindangan, Zamboanga Del Norte.

Confiscated items were 8 sachets of suspected Shabu, Php500.00 bill as marked money, One (1) motorcycle, cash amounting P6, 286.00 and drug paraphernalia’s.

Confiscated items and arrested person were now under custody of Sindangan MPS for proper disposition.

Rape Suspect Arrested

DIPOLOG CITY (Jan. 11, 2019) - A rape suspect was arrested by operatives of Liloy Police Station, Zamboanga Del Norte Police in a law enforcement operation at Barangay Galas, Dipolog City, Zamboanga Del Norte at about 1:40 PM of January 10, 2019.

Arrested suspect was identified as Ian Paul Prayon Enoy, 35, male, married and a resident of said place. This is by virtue of Warrant of Arrest charged for 2 Counts of Rape in Relation to RA 7610, Criminal Case No L-003316 and L-003317 with no bail bond recommended. Arrested person now detained at Salug MPS.

3 Drug Suspects Held in Siocon, Zamboanga Del Norte

SIOCON, Zamboanga Del Norte (Jan. 11, 2019) - The drugs enforcement team of Siocon Police Station, Zamboanga Del Norte, RMFB9 and PDEA9 has arrested three drug suspects during drug buy-bust operation at Brgy Suhaile Arabi, Siocon Zamboanga Del Norte At about 10:35AM of January 10, 2019.

PCSUPT Emmanuel Luis D Licup, PRO9 Regional Director, identified the arrested Three suspects as:

Ibrahim Layling Laudin, 41, laborer, son of former Brgy Captain of Suhaile Arabi and member of Sahibad Drug Group2;

Hanson Salahuddin Dulla, 34, laborer and

Nasser Fernandez Laudin, 51, carpenter and the owner of the house where the illegal drug transaction took place.

All arrested personalities are residents of Brgy. Suhaile Arabi, Siocon, Zamboanga Del Norte.

Confiscated from their possessions were three sachets suspected shabu with estimated street value of 1,500 and Php500.00 bill as Marked Money. Arrested persons and confiscated items are now in custody of Siocon MPS.

Rape Suspect Cuffed in Dipolog City

DIPOLOG (Jan. 11, 2019) – The Police operatives of Dipolog City Police Station, Zamboanga Del Norte Provincial Mobile Force Company, Zamboanga Del Norte PPO-Intel Branch and conducted joint manhunt operation against wanted person at Purok Makuguihon, Brgy. Punta, Dipolog City at about 10:00 AM of January 10, 2019.

The operations was resulted to the arrest of thew suspect identified as Rolando Jumawan Palubio Jr., male, 32 years old, single, Elementary Graduate, employed at Dipolog Sea Port (Esteba) and a resident of by virtue of Alias Warrant of Arrest issued by Presiding Judge Rogelio D. Laquihon of RTC9, Branch 7, Dipolog City dated December 27, 2013 for Qualified Rape, docketed under criminal case number 18374, without bail bond recommended.

Accused was arrested at his residence through Intel driven operation. Arrested wanted person is now detained at Dipolog CPS for proper disposition.

RA 9165 Violator Nabbed in Dipolog City

DIPOLOG (Jan. 11, 2019) – Joint PNP team of Pinan MPS, PNP Aviation Security group and Zamboanga Del Norte PPO- Intel Branch conducted manhunt operation at Dipolog City Airport, Dipolog City at about 8:40 AM of January 10, 2019.

The Arrested suspect was identified as Kristine Joy Moran y Proceso, 37, and a resident of Poblacion, Pinan, Zamboanga Del Norte. He was arrested by virtue of arrested by virtue of Warrant of Arrest issued by Judge Yolinda C. Bautista of Branch 9, 9RTC, Dipolog City dated October 12, 2009 for violation of Sec. 11 and 12 Art. II of RA 9165 with Criminal Case no. 13807 & 13808 and bail bond amounting to Php240, 000.00.

Arrested wanted person is now detained Pinan MPS for proper disposition.

Drug Dealer Busted in Dipolog City

DIPOLOG (Jan. 11, 2019) – The Combined operatives of Drugs Enforcement Unit of Dipolog City Police Station, Zamboanga Del Norte Police Office-Drugs Enforcement Unit and PDEA9 conducted buy-bust operation at Purok Maalagaron, Brgy Lower Turno, Dipolog City at about 4:30 AM of January 10, 2019.

Arrested was Juancho Pelegrin Regencia Alias “Bodok Regencia”, 51, self-employed and a resident of said place.

Confiscated during the operartion were the following, to wit:

a. One (1) piece big size Heat-sealed Transparent Plastic Sachet containing white crystalline granules believed to be shabu,

b. One (1) piece medium size Heat-sealed Transparent Plastic Sachet containing white crystalline granules believed to be shabu,

c. Eleven (11) pieces small size Heat-sealed Transparent Plastic Sachet containing white crystalline granules believed to be shabu,

d. One (1) piece 1,000.00 peso bill SN HJ489964 as buy-bust money, and drug paraphernalia.

The Seized items and the arrested person are now in custody of Dipolog City Police Station for proper disposition.

High Value Target Drugs Personality Captured in Drug Buy Bust

DIPOLOG (Jan. 11, 2019) – Joint team of Drugs Enforcement Unit of Dipolog City Police Station, Zamboanga Del Norte Police Office-Drugs Enforcement Unit and PDEA9 conducted buy-bust operation at Purok Sidlakan, Upper Turno, Dipolog City, Zamboanga Del Norte at about 1:00 AM of January 10, 2019.

The operation was resulted to the arrest of Gerry Manta Bendong alias Dodong/Ger, 35 years old, single, high school graduate, laborer, an active member of Selda Singko Drug Group, an High Value Target of Zamboanga Del Norte -PDEA9.

Confiscated during the operation were the following to wit:

a. Twenty-nine (29) pieces small heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing white crystalline substance believed to be shabu.

b. Two (2) pieces Php 500 bill buy-bust money with SNs PC683610 and PV177591, and Drug paraphernalia.

The Seized items and the arrested person are now in custody of Dipolog City Police Station for proper disposition.

Gun For Hire Suspect Arrested in Police Operation

MANUKAN, Zamboanga Del Norte (Jan. 11, 2019) -  The Combined police operatives of RMFB9 and Manukan Police Station conducted manhunt operation through Intel driven operation at Brgy Libuton, Manukan, Zamboanga Del Norte at around 4:30PM of January 10, 2019.

PCSUPT Emmanuel Luis D Licup, PRO9 Regional Director, said the operation resulted to the successful arrest of Alberto Belliones Macasling aka "Arnel", 47 yrs. old, male, married a resident of Brgy. Banganon, Gutalac, Zamboanga Del Norte.

The suspect was arrested by virtue of Warrant of Arrest charged for the crime of Frustrated Murder under Criminal Case No L-002108 with bail of Php 200,000.00 issued by Presiding Judge Oscar Tumarong of RTC 9th Judicial Region, Liloy, Zamboanga Del Norte.

Subject Person is responsible for the shooting of the victim identified as Bartolome Abis. He was newly monitored to be engaged in gun for hire activities.

Truck Loaded with Undocumented Fletches of Coconut Tree Held 

DAPITAN CITY, Zamboanga Del Norte (Jan. 12, 2019) - Joint personnel of Philippine Coconut Authority (PCA) and Dapitan City Police Station conducted operation against illegal logging at Pulauan Wharf, Brgy San Vicente, Dapitan City, Zamboanga Del Norte at around 2:30 AM of January 11, 2019.

The team intercepted one unit Isuzu Giga wing van truck bearing plate number ACO 5408, registered under the name of Matranillo Macatipon Jr of Cebu City and driven by Roy Arcamo Quezon, a resident of Kalawit, Zamboanga Del Norte loaded with approximately 12,000 board feet (estimated value of P250, 000.00) of coco lumber with expired permit and violation of RA 4136.

Said van was temporarily deposited at Dapitan City Police Station for proper disposition.

Arson Incident in Salug, Zamboanga Del Norte

SALUG, Zamboanga del Norte (Jan. 11, 2019) - Arson/burning incident transpired at Barangay Pucay, Salug, ZamboangaDelNorte at about 8:15 PM January 9, 2019.

PCSUPT Emmanuel Licup, PRO9 Regional Director said one Deonilo Asman Bucan, 48 years old, marrieda resident of Brgy. Poblacion, Godod, Zamboanga del Norte appeared at Salug Police Station and reported that his driven passenger bus SSG liner, yellow, bearing plate number  QEE 811, owned by Sabino S. Gallo Jr of Liloy, Zamboanga Del Norte was burned by (5) five unidentified persons armed with short firearms at Brgy. Pucay, Salug, Zamboanga Del Norte.

Initial investigation conducted disclosed that a passenger bus SSG LINER driven by Mr.Deonilo Asman Bucan travelling via Godod-Liloy, Zamboanga Del Norte at about 08:00 o’clock in the evening more or less of same date on their way to Godod municipality, Zamboanga Del Norte. They were stopped by five (5) unidentified persons boarded in two motorcycles and armed with pistols.

Deonilo Asman Bucan, driver of SSG Liner and his (3) three truck man identified as Leo A. Lomondaya, 28 years old, single and a resident of Banawan, Godod, Zamboanga del Norte; Nelson Dominding Ambahang, 28 years old, married and a resident of Brgy. Poblacion, Godod, Zamboangadel Norte and Celso Dominding Ambahang, 33 years old, married and a resident of Brgy. Poblacion, Godod, Zamboanga del Norte were instructed by one of the perpetrators to alight from the bus.

Thereafter, said perpetrators introduce themselves as a NPA’s and uttered to the driver that “you were always passing without paying”. Thereafter, the perpetrator put a gallon of gasoline in the bus and then lighted up and burned the bus containing assorted dry goods and others such as; fertilizer, feeds, sardines, drinks, dried fish, seven (7) container of gasoline , hollow blocks, sack of rice and corn and others.

After the burning of the said bus, one of the perpetrators fired a shot using his firearm then left the scene and headed towards Godod Municipality. The motive of the incident is still to be determined.

PNP personnel of Salug Police Station are still conducted hot pursuit operation of those perpetrators for possible arrest and identification.

January 8-9, 2019 Incident Reports from the municipalities of Zamboanga del Norte

2 Held at Checkpoint for Possessing Drugs

SIBUCO, Zamboanga Del Norte (Jan. 9, 2019) – The PNP personnel of Sibuco MPS conducted random checkpoint at Sitio Tigbuaya, Barangay Poblacion, Sibuco Zamboanga Del Norte at about 10:40 AM of October 8, 2019.

The successful operation was led to the arrest of of the suspect identified as Said Ahil Alimuddin, 35 years old, grade 2, married ,male, Filipino , laborer and Magsaysay Jakiri Anoy, 45 years old, 3rd year high School, Male, married, Filipino, Habal- Habal driver and both resident of Sitio Tugbuaya, Sibuco, Zamboanga Del Norte. The suspect was arrested for violation of RA 9165.

Suspects are previous surrenderers and pusher, suspects were trying to evade the checkpoint but they were flagged down by the counter strike of Sibuco MPS.

Upon search, the PNP team recovered three 3 sachet of alleged shabu, four 4 small cut aluminum foil and one 1 lighter.

Arrested suspects and motorcycle haojue black with plate no. JA26394 was brought to Sibuco MPS for proper disposition.

2 Drug Suspects Arrested in Drug Sting Operation

TAMPILISAN, Zamboanga del Norte (Jan. 9, 2019) - Drugs enforcement team of Tampilisan Police Station and Zamboanga Del Norte Police Office-Intel Branch coordinated with the Zamboanga Del Norte - PDEA conducted drug buy bust operation against a drug peddler at Barangay Camul, Tampilisan, Zamboanga Del Norte at about 11:59 PM of January 8, 2019.

The operation was resulted to the arrest of the suspects identified as Carl Evan Ybarley, 23 years of age, resident of Barangay Antonino, Labason and one Joshia Enero Abejo, 24 years of age, single and a resident of Barangay Gil Sanches, Labason, Zamboanga del Norte both user and newly identified.

Suspects were arrested after they were caught in the act (inflagrante delicto) selling shabu to the operatives of Tampilisan MPS who act as poseur buyer. Recovered from the suspects possession and control are the following items Three (3) pcs heat sealed transparent plastic containing white crystalline substance believe to be shabu, one (1) pc disposable lighters color blue, one (1) pc scissor, one (1) pc five hundred peso bills with serial number EG751069 (buybust money), one (1) pc one hundred peso bill with serial number BH652201, one (1) pc one hundred peso bill with serial numbers AK947484.

During the said operation the markings and documentations of evidences was done in the area where they was arrested and it was witnessed by the Barangay Councilors of Brgy. Camul, Tampilisan, Zamboanga Del Norte.

There and then they were informed their constitutional rights via Miranda Doctrine and immediately brought to Liloy District Hospital, Liloy, Zamboanga del Norte for medical examination and then brought to Tampilisan MPS for further documentation and proper disposition of the case prior submission to the Provincial Crime Laboratory for drug test examination.

Arrested suspects were now detained at the lock up cell of Tampilisan MPS for proper disposition.

January 4-8, 2019 –Reported Incidents from Zamboanga del Norte

Motor Vehicle Traffic Accident

LILOY, Zamboanga del Norte (Jan. 5, 2019) - Motor Vehicle Traffic Accident transpired along national highway in Barangay Baybay, Liloy, Zamboanga Del Norte at around 11:10 AM of January 4, 2019.

The accident was involving two vehicles:

Vehicle 1-Honda XRM without cover and no Plate number owned by Nelson Camion, businessman owner of Camion Glass Enterprises, a resident at brgy Fatima, Liloy, and driven by Edison Absin Disoy, 37 years old, married, employee of Camion Glass Enterprises, Liloy, and resident of Brgy Malila T. Tampilisan.

Vehicle 2-white Toyota Hi-Ace Van owned by Rural Bank of Rizal and driven by Jake Canter Baguio Villarino, 34 years old, widow, driver and a resident of Brgy Turno, Dipolog City.

Initial investigation disclosed that veh-1 was travelling from Brgy Fatima, Liloy going to Brgy Baybay, Liloy, while veh-2 was travelling along National Highway in Brgy Baybay, Liloy and upon reaching at the place of accident, veh-2 turned left direction going to Liloy municipal building without knowing the incoming veh-1 resulting to the collision of said vehicles.

As a result driver of vehicle-1 suffered injuries and immediately brought to Liloy Integrated District Hospital for medical treatment while veh-2 incurred slight damaged particularly on the right headlight of said vehicle.

Both vehicles involved are now under the custody of Liloy MPS for proper disposition.

Escape of Detainee

MANUKAN, Zamboanga Del Norte (Jan. 8, 2019) - On January 7, 2019 at about 10:00 AM, one inmate of Zamboanga Del Norte Reformatory Center escaped from the jail facility by climbing the concrete fence at the back of the facility.

Police Chief Superintendent Emmanuel Luis D Licup, PRO9 Regional Director identified the escape prisoner as Roger M. Gumial, 32 years old, single, resident of Sitog, Katipunan, Zamboanga Del Norte.

He was charge for the crime of Murder docketed under Criminal Case number 20606, 5’2” in height, 56 kilograms, brown complexion, medium built, scars at his upper right eyebrow, left eye bag, moles at his upper left chin, left lower lip, and right upper lip.

Neighboring municipalities were already informed. Personnel of Zamboanga Del Norte Reformatory Center together with Manukan Police Station are now conducted hot pursuit operation & checkpoint operation for the possible arrest of escapee.

12 houses were razed by Structural Fire Incident

DIPOLOG CITY, Zamboanga Del Norte (Jan. 8, 2019) – 12 houses were razed by Fire incident transpired in Sto. Niño, Tambak, Minaog, Dipolog City at about 4:00 PM of January 7, 2019. 

Acted on the report, Personnel of Dipolog City Police Station proceeded to the reported place and assisted in securing the fire scene from looters and in any lawless activities while CDRRMO Dipolog and Bureu of Fire Protection Dipolog conducted fire suppression operation.

Few moments later, fire trucks from Aviation Dipolog and nearby city and municipality came to assist the incident. Meanwhile, at around 5:00 PM of January 7, 2019, “Fire Out” declared by BFP Dipolog Officer FCI Elias L Baguio lll - Officer In-Charge.

Inventory shows that a total of twelve (12) houses were razed by fire with an estimated cost of damage more or less of Three Hundred Fifty Thousand Pesos (P350,000.00).

No injured individuals reported during and after the fire. Cause of fire is still under investigation of BFP Dipolog.
