Attempted Suicide Incident
DIPOLOG CITY - An attempted
suicide incident transpired inside Dipolog City Police Station lock-up cell at about 5:45 PM of January 10, 2017, involving
four (4) detainees for Frustrated Murder and Robbery case namely; Joseph
Lumanda y Ugban, 19 years old, single, Reymond Lañojan, 17 years old, minor,
both residents of Purok 8, Biasong, Dipolog City, Reymart Marikit Y Sumabang,
18 years old, single and resident of Purok Silangan, Governor’s Village,
Estaka, Dipolog City, Ivan Cabasag y Sumalpong alias “Takuri”, 19 years old,
single, temporarily residing at Purok Silangan, Governor’s Village, Estaka,
Dipolog City and with postal address at Banganon, Gutalac, Zamboanga Del Norte.
Personnel of Dipolog City Police Station transported the abovementioned
detainees to the hospital for immediate medical attention. Investigation conducted
disclosed that at around 11:30 A.M. of January 10, 2017, Ivan Cabasag alias “Takuri”
told Racquel Otod y Rabanal, 19 years old, single and a resident of Calibo St.,
Biasong, Dipolog City, a visitor of aforesaid detainees to buy five (5) razor
blades. Racquel Otod then went outside the station and after a few minutes went
back inside Dipolog CPS and handed to Ivan Cabasag the five (5) London Bridge
razor blades. At around 5:45 p.m. of same date, PO3 Apolinar Tabiliran
discovered that the aforementioned detainees were lying in a prone position
with blood oozing from their neck. Ivan Cabasag sustained lacerated wound on
his neck and was still confined at ZANORTE Medical Center, Dipolog City for
treatment, while Joseph Lumanda, Reymond Lañojan and Reymart Marikit also
sustained lacerated wounds on their neck were brought back to Dipolog CPS after
medical treatment. The SOCO team of Zamboanga Del Norte PNP Crime lab led by
SPO3 Reluya arrived and processed the crime scene. Recovered from the scene
were four (4) pieces razor blades. A Violation of Article 252 of the RPC “Giving
assistance to commit suicide” was being prepared for filing a case against
Racquel Otod, who is now in the custody said police station.

Arrest of Wanted Person
KATIPUNAN - Operatives
of Katipunan MPS conducted police operation at about 11:45 AM of January 10,
2017, at Purok 3, Barangay Singatong, Katipunan, Zamboanga Del Norte. Arrested
was George Emia y Dela Cerna, male, Filipino, 43 years old, single and a
resident of Purok 3, Barangay Singatong, Katipunan, Zamboanga Del Norte. He was
charged for “Malicious Mischief”
docketed in Criminal Case No.: 192-16 (K) with recommended bailbond of Ten
thousand pesos (Php 10,000.00) issued by Hon. Alnaiza T. Hassiman-Jamud,
Presiding Judge, 5th MCTC of Katipunan-Sergio Osmena, 9th Judicial Region,
Dipolog City, Zamboanga Del Norte on December 9, 2016. Suspect is temporarily
detained at Katipunan MPS for proper disposition.
