Ambush Incident
SIRAWAI - An ambush incident transpired at Barangay
San Vicente, Sirawai, Zamboanga Del Norte at about 4:40 PM of January 3, 2017 wherein the
detachment of 42IB,PA at said Barangay, was attacked by undetermined number of
threat group using high powered firearms, fire fight is still on-going. Said
threat group was at Barangay Sipakit Area, Sirawai, Zamboanga Del Norte wherein
blocking force and hot pursuit operation is now being conducted by Sirawai MPS,
9RPSB, Zamboanga Del Norte PPSC and 42 IB,PA. At about 7:30 pm of same date, 130
estimated number of evacuees was recorded with no reported injuries as of this
time. Initial investigation conducted disclosed that the suspects were from the
group of Yusop Jamaa, Yacob Isnain a.k.a “Bating” under the command of a
certain Hadji Kandatin. Hot pursuit operation is still going on.
Report on Frustrated Murder
SINDANGAN - On or about 9:30 AM of January 3, 2017, one Barangay
Chairman of Bucana, Sindangan, Zamboanga Del Norte, Hon. Romulo S. Tumales
together with Elencio Agom y Onto, 38 years old, single, male, farmer and a resident at Barangay Tinaplan,
Sindangan, Zamboanga Del Norte reported to Sindangan MPS and properly
turned-over one (1) caliber .45 pistol with defaced serial number owned by
Romeo Onto Y Tingkalan, 50 years old, single and a resident of Barangay
Tinaplan, Sindangan, ZN. Initial Investigation conducted disclosed that prior
to the incident, at the dawn of January 01, 2017, the victim (Elencio Agom) and
his uncle Romeo Onto (suspect) were having drinking session inside the house of
the victim located at Brgy Tinaplan, Sindangan, ZN, 22 kilometers from Barangay
Poblacion, Sindangan ZN. After few hours when they were already drunk, the
suspect sexually harassed the sister of the victim named Claudine Agom Y onto,
32 years old, single that resulted to a heated argument between the victim and
the suspect. Afterwards, the suspect drew his caliber .45 pistols from his
waist then directly shot the victim twice but was able to evade and immediately
grabbed the suspect’s gun, but the suspect was able to pull the trigger and
again fired the said firearm but it malfunctioned and failed to extract the
defective fired cartridge case and slug inside the barrel. As a result, the
victim successfully disarmed the suspect and struck the caliber .45 pistols to
the head of the suspect that cause the suspect to run away and go home. That on
or about 5:00 PM of same date, the victim reported the incident to his relative
Barangay Chairman Romulo S. Tumales for assistance and surrendered the
confiscated firearms to the latter. That on or about 9:30 AM of January 3,
2017, Barangay Chairman Romulo S. Tumales together with Elencio Agom appeared
and reported the incident to Sindangan MPS to file a complaint against the suspect
(Romeo Onto) and turned over the confiscated firearms for proper disposition. Sindangan
MPS personnel are now preparing a case for Frustrated Murder against the
suspect.
Motor Vehicle Traffic Accident
SALUG -
Be informed that about 7:40 o’clock in the evening of January 2, 2017, one Nedelito
Culata Pechon, 36 years old, a Rural Conductor came and reported to Salug MPS
that there was a motor vehicle traffic accident along the National High Way of
Barangay Lipakan, Salug, ZN involving two (2) vehicles described as follows: a.
Veh1 - a Rural Bus with plate no. JVJ273, body No. 10463, Cr No. 9093656-5
dated 03/17/2010, MV file No. 1384-00000242003, engine No. J05C-TE15722,
chassis no. FB4J-12716, OR no. 734145436 dated 02/26/2016, registered under
Rural Transit (Mindanao) based at Dipolog City, driven by Michael Tagbac
Manlangit, 39 years old, married, resident of Purok Farmer center, Olingan,
Dipolog City, holder of PDL No. JO1-94-047989 which expires on 2018-04-05; and
b. Veh2 – gray Toyota Hi Ace Van, with plate no. JEM129, MV file no.
0928-00000199508, engine no. 2KD5864084, chassis no. JTFJSO2P900030842,
registered under the name of Marites A. Alsaleh of Palandok, Leon B. Postigo,
ZN, driven by Narding Dialo Caitum, 46 years old, married, resident of
Palandok, Leon B. Postigo, ZN, holder of PDL No. JO1-99-030752 to be expired on
2017-03-25. Initial investigation conducted disclosed that at about 7:10 o’clock
in the evening of same date, while veh1 was travelling from Leon Postigo bound
to Liloy, ZN and upon reaching the place of accident, an unidentified motorcycle
with two (2) back riders, without headlight travelling from same direction
suddenly overtook Veh1 unnoticed the incoming Veh2 which was travelling from
opposite direction. Veh2 avoided collision to the motorcycle and maneuvered to
the left side but suddenly bumped with veh1. Both vehicles incurred damages were
impounded with no reported casualty/injured. For information.
Motor Vehicular Traffic Accident (MVTA)
LILOY -
Be informed that at about 10:25 o’clock in the morning of January 3, 2017, a
Motor Vehicle Traffic Accident transpired at the national highway, Brgy Timan,
Liloy ZN involving two (2) motorcycles
described as follows: a. MC1-Yellow Honda XRM 110 with plate no. JI 3545,
engine no. XRM110ME-7151017, chassis no. XRM12-061151017, driven by one Danilo
Castillon Dumam-ag, 44 years old, a resident of barangay Candelaria with back
rider Judy Delara Bautista, male, 37 years old; and b. MC2 – Red Yamaha FZ
Midship with plate no. 7217 SB, driven by Aljimar Juha Hatab, male, 26-30 years
old, with back rider Jadi Takahan Hatab, male, married, 57 years old, both
residents of Zamboanga City. Initial investigation conducted disclosed that
while both motorcycles were running in the same direction from Salug, ZN going
to Liloy ZN wherein MC1 was ahead of MC2 and upon reaching at the place of
accident, MC1 slowed down purposely to turn left but was accidentally bumped by
MC2 that was running from behind in high speedy motion. As a result, both
motorcycles tumbled down on the road causing drivers and back riders to sustain
serious physical injuries. All victims were brought to Liloy Integrated Health
District Hospital for medical treatment. Further, driver of MC1 was forwarded
to Dipolog City hospital and the driver of MC2 was also forwarded to Zamboanga
City hospital for continue medication while both motorcycles were put under the
custody of Liloy MPS for proper disposition. For information.

KATIPUNAN - Elements of Katipunan MPS conducted
manhunt operation at Barangay Uno, Katipunan, Zamboanga Del Norte at about 2:10 pm of January 3, 2017. This resulted to the arrest of Tarciano
Villasis Padao Jr, 48 years old, married, fisherman and a resident of San
Antonio, Katipunan, Zamboanga Del Norte. subject person was arrested by virtue
of warrant of arrest issued by Presiding Judge Alnaiza T. Hassiman-Jamud Of 5th
Mctc Katipunan- Sergio Osmeña Sr., 9th Judicial Region, Katipunan, Zn dated December 8, 2016 for the crime of attempted
homicide docketed under criminal case nr 190-16 (k) with bail bond recommended
amounting to twelve thousand (₱12,000.00). Arrested subject person is presently
detained at Katipunan MPS for proper disposition.

POLANCO - Elements of Polanco MPS conducted manhunt
operation at Barangay North Poblacion, Polanco, Zamboanga Del Norte at about 9:00 am of January
3, 2017. This resulted to the arrest of Noel Baluntang Indoy, 45 years old,
married, farmer, and a resident of Barangay Labrador Polanco, Zamboanga Del
Norte. Subject person was arrested by virtue of warrant of arrest dated October
24, 2002, issued by Judge Pio D. Velasco Of Mtc Of Polanco, Zn For The Crime Of
Grave Oral Defamation, docketed under cc no. 2608 with bailbond recommended
amounting to one thousand pesos (Php 1,000.00). Arrested subject person is
presently detained at Polanco MPS for proper disposition. at about 1:00 pm of
same date, subject person was released from police custody after posting
sufficient cash bond as per order of release issued and signed by Judge Deborah
P. Garcia Nazario of MTC, Polanco ZN dated january 3, 2017.

of Kalawit MPS conducted manhunt operation at Barangay Daniel Maing, Kalawit,
Zambonga Del Norte at about 9:00 AM of January 3, 2017. This resulted
to the arrest of Edmer Manuang Maing, 23 years old, single, welder and a
resident of said place. subject was arrested by virtue of warrant of arrest
issued by Judge Jerry B Pacho Of 6th Mctc, Labason-Gutalac-Kalawit, 9th
Judicial Region Labason ZN Dated November 24, 2016 for violation of direct
assault upon a person in authority
docketed under criminal case number 3759, with bail bond recommended amounting
to twelve thousand pesos (₱12,000.00). Arrested subject person is presently
detained at kalawit mps for proper disposition.

DIPOLOG CITY - Dipolog CPS led by
SPO2 Jerry Isaw conducted manhunt operation at Gonsalez St. Central, Dipolog
City at about 4:20 PM of January 3, 2017, and successfully arrested Raul B.
Buctuan, 61 years old, married, a retired seaman and his wife Susana B.
Buctuan, 58 years old, married, teacher, both residents of said place. Subjects
were arrested by virtue of warrant of arrest dated November 25, 2016, issued by
Judge Kenneth P. Rosal of RTC Branch 2, Dipolog City, 9th Judicial
Region for the crime of Robbery docketed under Criminal Case No. B-50036 with
Bail Bond amounting to twelve thousand pesos (Php 12,000.00) each. Arrested
wanted persons were detained at Dipolog CPS for proper disposition.
