REPORTED INCIDENT - January 25, 2017

Hacking Incident
SERGIO OSMEÑA - Hacking incident occurred at Purok 1, Princesa Lamaya, Sergio Osmeña Sr., Zamboanga Del Norte at about 6:30 PM of January 23, 2017. The victim was identified as Remar Meralles y Mangubay, 21 years old, single, farmer and a resident of same place. He was allegedly hacked by certain Tata Baguioso of legal age, married, farmer and a resident Sitio Bariokan, Princesa Lamaya, Sergio Osmeña Sr., Zamboanga Del Norte. Initial investigation conducted showed the victim together with his brothers namely: Renan Meralles and Ronald Meralles were having a drinking spree at the house of their uncle Fernando Quintino at Sitio Bariokan, barangay Princesa Lamaya, Sergio Osmeña, Zamboanga Del Norte. The suspect, believed to be under the influence of intoxicating liquor, who is a son in-law and neighbor of their uncle got wild outside the house. The victim, considering that they were friends with the suspect went outside to pacify him but as the victim approached the suspect, he was suddenly hacked using a bolo hitting on his right shoulder. Said suspect immediately fled to unknown direction right after the incident while said victim was rushed to Sergio Osmeña District hospital for medication. PNP personnel of Sergio Osmeña MPS are now conducting manhunt operation for the possible arrest of the suspect.

Report on Vehicular Accident
GUTALAC - Vehicular accident took place at about 8:45 AM of January 24, 2017, wherein the Mitsubishi Montero of one Gedion Bachiller y Ferolino, 47 yrs. old, married; a resident of Barangay Salvador, Gutalac, Zamboanga del Norte accidentally hit a Kymco motorcycle with Plate Number JA 12631. The MC subsequently bumped into the glass bread stand of Ronlyn Baskesop. After the vehicle hit the motorcycle, it also crashed into Almar’s Eatery. Initial investigation conducted disclosed that  the said vehicle went from a car wash, when the driver maneuver the said car, he found out that it was uncontrollable due to loss of brake that resulted to multiple damage of properties and slight physical injuries to Jenelyn Buraos y Cubillo, 34 years old, female, a resident of said place, who was eating inside the said eatery, and Alvin Camontol y Lamasan, 2 years old, male, a resident of Pitogo, Leon B. Postigo, who was with his father, bought bread at the said bakeshop. The two victims were brought to Dipolog Medical Center for immediate medical attention while the driver was brought to Gutalac MPS and temporarily detained thereat after he fails to present pertinent documents and his driver’s license.

Report on the Recovery of Abandoned Motorcycle
DAPITAN CITY - Be informed that at about 9:40 o’clock in the evening of January 24, 2017, Brgy Chairman Oscar Balladares of Brgy. Polo, Dapitan City reported through cellphone that there was a motorcycle abandoned at Polo Elementary School. Acted on the report, elements of Dapitan CPS led by PO3 Charlie Viadnes proceeded to the above-mentioned place to verify the said report. Upon arrival at said place, the said Brgy Chairman turn-over the abandoned Red Yamaha Vega without plate number. Said motorcycle was brought to Dapitan CPS for proper disposition. For information.

Recovery of Stolen Motorcycle
SALUG - Be informed that at about 5:45 o’clock in the morning of January 24, 2017, duty personnel received a call thru hotline from a concerned citizen that there was a suspicious person sighted at Sitio Campo, Barangay Mucas, Salug, ZN particularly near the carwash owned by one Benito Angcon Batucal. Acted on the report, responding team of Salug MPS proceeded to the reported area to verify the veracity of the said information. Upon arrival at the aforementioned place, subject suspicious person was nowhere to be found and believed that have already fled to unknown direction upon sensing the approaching policemen. Thereat, the responding team noticed one unit red Honda 125 XRM motorcycle bearing Plate Number 6245 JI with chassis number XRM 16018139, engine number XRM16EO18143, registered under the name of Edgar Pingkian Sr., a resident of Bayanihan, Gutalac, ZN and was assumed by Santiago Breto Araño, married, 35 years old and a resident of Barangay Lanawan, Salug, ZN. Accordingly, said motorcycle was kept and parked by the owner inside their house and was stolen by the suspect believed to be between1:00 o’clock dawn to 5:00 o’clock in the morning of same date, which he also left behind after seeing the policemen. Further investigation revealed that the said suspicious person, believed to be the one who carted away the cash estimated to two hundred (P200.00) to three hundred (P300.00) pesos, after destroying the box owned by the nearby carwash.
