Vehicular traffic
accident transpired at the National Highway of Barangay Causwagan, Zamboanga
Del Norte at about 9:32 AM of September 26, 2017, wherein Vehicle-1 Hyundai dump
truck with plate no. act 7616, driven by James Louie Pasinabo Grejaldo (voluntarily
surrendered), male, single, 26 years old, resident of Lower Taway, Ipil, and presently
staying in Malintuboan, Labason, Zamboanga Del Norte, vehicle-2 Honda wave 100
black with plate no. JU 9992, driven by Jessica Soria Castañares (dead on the
spot), female, married, 38 years old, with back rider Jellie Soria Castañares (daughter),
single, 19 years old, both resident of villa c. Sudiacal, Liloy. Initial investigation
conducted disclosed that both vehicles were running in the same direction from Liloy
going to Tampilisan, upon reaching at the National Highway Of Barangay
Causwagan, Liloy, vehicle-1 (Hyundai dump truck) which is ahead of vehicle-2
(motorcycle) stopped at the one way elevated part of the under constructed road
due to the slowing down of the vehicles ahead of them while entering the one
way road. due to vehicle-1 is heavily loaded with sand gravel, its brake
malfunctioned causing it to move in reverse direction/moved backwards resulting
it to ran-over the vehicle-2 that resulted to the instantaneous death of its
driver Jessica Soria while the back rider was able to jump away from the
motorcycle. Victim’s body was now at Villa Babas Funeral Homes while the vehicles
involved were brought to liloy mps for proper disposition.
