Fire Incident
LILOY - Fire incident transpired at brgy Ganase, Liloy, Zamboanga Del Norte at about 7:30 AM of December 15, 2017, wherein the nipa hut owned by Gomerando Candia was razed by fire including himself. Initial investigation conducted by BFP- Liloy disclosed that prior to the incident at around 6:35 AM of same date the victim was cooking on his fireplace and left unattended and believed to have fall asleep when the fire escalates in the entire nipa hut. Their neighbors tried to helped but the victim was not able to escape the raging fire that resulted to his instantaneous death. The victim’s cadaver sustained severe burn injuries, and was turned over to his immediate family. Estimated cost damaged amounting to (P5, 000.00).

Man Arrested in Dapitan City for Possessing Marijuana
DAPITAN - Combined elements of PDEA, Zamboanga Del Norte assisted by Dapitan CPS, Regional Maritime Unit 9, Dapitan City and Phil. Coast Guard, Dapitan City conducted drug buy-bust operation at Brgy San Vicente, Dapitan City at about 1:00 AM of December 15, 2017 particularly at lablab store. This resulted in the arrest of Jon Aldrich Kaabay Noblezala, male, 25 years old a resident of victoria Country Homes, Brgy Ubay, Polanco, Zambonaga Del Norte. Confiscated during the operation were as follows; one (1) pc self-sealing transparent pack containing dried marijuana leaves with estimated weight of more or less 300 grams worth P5,000.00 and two (2) pcs bill buy bust money bearing serial nos. aw167699 and bc 988147. A case of section 5 and 11 art ii of RA 9165 is being prepared by PDEA. Subject person is now under custody of Dapitan CPS. 

Campaign against Illegal Logging
SIOCON - Operatives of Siocon MPS and CENRO conducted an operation against illegal logging activity at Sitio Look-Malakubing, Brgy. Latabon, Siocon, Zamboanga Del Norte at about 4:00 PM of December 15, 2017. This to the confiscation of illegally cut lumber of endangered species of “apitong”, “miyapis” and “lauan” and with different dimension estimated volume of 1,000 board feet with estimated total local market value of ₱34,000.00 per ₱25.00 for each board foot. Said lumber was now in the custody of CENRO-Siocon. The Siocon MPS is now conducting thorough investigation to identify the responsible of cutting the endangered species of trees.
