Arrest of Prison Escapee
DAPITAN CITY - Operatives
of Dapitan City Police Station have arrested an escapee at Purok Balao, Brgy
Taguilon Dapitan City at about 10:20 PM of December 14, 2017.
immediately personnel of Dapitan CPS together with personnel of Dipolog City
Jail led by Jail Senior Inspector Benjamin Cepeda, Jail Warden of Dipolog City
Jail for the arrest of the escapee whom they chased from Dipolog City to Dapitan
City, wherein at about 10:20 PM of December 14, 2017, subject escapee
identified as Marvin Acojedo Metante, a resident of Brgy Sangkol, Dipolog City was
successfully arrested by the responding personnel. Investigation revealed that
at about 8:15 AM of December 14, 2017, subject detainee escaped from Dipolog
City Jail, Brgy Dicayas, Dipolog City who has a pending case for the crime of
theft with cc no. 55023 and 55024. he escaped, by climbing and jumping off the
fence at the back portion of said jail facility and ran towards the grassy area
and walked by foot until he reach Brgy San Pedro, Dapitan City then he ride a
motor cab going to Brgy Bagting then finally, he rides again a habal-habal
going to Brgy Sto. Niño at the residence of his wife. he then went to his
family at Brgy Taguilon, Dapitan City where he was arrested. Subject person was
received by Jail Senior Inspector Benjamin Cepeda, Jail Warden of Dipolog City
Jail.
Arrest of Robbery Suspect
SINDANGAN - Robbery
incident transpired at Brgy La Roche, Sindangan, Zamboanga Del Norte at about
7:30 PM of December 10, 2017 particularly at the house of Violeta Pon
Jalosjos, 56 years old, who was robbed
by the suspect identified later as George Daguinotas Pon, 31 years old, male,
single and a resident at Lalab, Sibutad, Zamboanga Del Norte. Further be
informed that at about 11:00 AM of December 14, 2017 intelligence operatives of
Sindangan MPS conducted follow-up operation at Brgy Disud, Sindangan, and
successfully arrested the suspect. Arrested suspect was immediately brought to
Sindangan MPS for proper disposition. But incidentally, while search and
seizure was conducted to the suspect with the presence of the victim (Violeta
Jalosjos), doj representative Jerson N. Cruda And Hon. Elenito B. Bacara- Brgy.
Councilor, the police office was able recover the following, to wit: two (2)
heat sealed transparent plastic sachets containing white crystalline substance
believed to be “shabu”, one (1) piece disposable lighter, one (1) pair gold
earring, one (1) piece fifty-peso bill, one (1) piece twenty-peso bill, one (1)
piece five-peso coin, one (1) piece one-peso coin, one (1) piece five centavo
and one (1) unit pack bag. Arrested suspect and the confiscated items were in
custody of Sindangan MPS for proper disposition.
