Stabbing Incident
GUTALAC - Stabbing incident
transpired at Sitio Gacsod, Map, Gutalac, Zamboanga Del Norte at about 8: 00 PM
of December 19, 2017. The victim was identified as Joel Teorima Sumacal, 34
years old, single farmer and a resident of Brgy Map, Gutalac, Zamboanga Del
Norte. Initial investigation disclosed that around 7:30 PM of same date the
victim was walking along the above mentioned place when suddenly two persons
waylaid him later identified as Ogie Ningas and Odin Ningas both residents of
Brgy Cocob, Gutalac, Zamboanga Del Norte with no apparent reason suspects
helped one another stabbed the victim then immediately fled to unknown
direction. The victim suffered three stabbed wounds on his body and was rushed
to Labason District Hospital. Gutalac MPS are now conducting pursuit operation
to arrest the suspects. Motive of the incident believed to be

DAPITAN CITY - Motor
vehicle traffic accident transpired along the National Highway, Brgy Barcelona,
Dapitan City at about 4:50 PM of December 19, 2017 involving a Honda XRM 125
mc, bearing plate no 1923-kk, black with white color combination driven by
Gemar Selaras Alson, 43 years old, male, married a resident of Bubunao, Brgy
Ilaya, Dapitan City and a pedestrian identified as Estrelite Cadungog Dagpin,
74 years old, female, married a resident of Brgy Barcelona, Dapitan City.
Initial investigation disclosed that at around 4:45 PM of same date said motorcycle
was running from Brgy Ilaya, Dapitan City bound for Sapang Dalaga,
Mis.Occidental. Upon reaching at the place of accident particularly at
kilometer 17, said pedestrian suddenly walked across the said road and was
accidentally bumped by the said motorcycle. As a result the driver and the
pedestrian was rushed to Dr. Jose Rizal Memorial Hospital (DJRMH) Dapitan City
for injuries they sustained. However, the pedestrian was declared dead on
arrival by the attending physician Dr Cherilyn Ruth Ramirez. The driver of the
vehicle was now under custody of Dapitan CPS for proper disposition including
his driven motorcycle.
