Shooting Incident
MANUKAN, Zamboanga del Norte - Shooting incident transpired at Barangay Poblacion, Manukan, Zamboanga del Norte at about 9:26 AM of May 8, 2019.
Police Brigadier General Emmanuel Luis D Licup, PRO9 Director identified the victim as Lito Dingal Moncal, 57 years old, and a resident of Brgy Poblacion, Manukan, Zamboanga del Norte and retired Fireman. .
Immediately PNP Personnel of Manukan Municipal Police Station conducted hot pursuit operation.
Initial investigation conducted by the responding team revealed that the two unidentified suspects both armed with unknown firearms went inside the perimeter fence of the house of the victim and shot the victim once hitting the left chest.
Said suspects fled towards the unknown direction after the commission of the crime.
Responding team immediately brought the victim to Trifon Saile Memorial Hospital but declared dead on arrival.
1person wounded in Hacking Incident
DIPOLOG CITY – One person was wounded in Hacking incident occurred at Purok Palayan, Olingan, Dipolog City, Zamboanga del Norte at about 6:15PM of May 7, 2019.
Police Brigadier General Emmanuel Luis D Licup, PRO9 Director identified suspect as Julito Andi Antanes “alias Timoy”, 36 years old and the victim identified as Ricardo Bahot Tizon, 41 years old, both residents of Purok Palayan, Brgy Olingan, Dipolog City.
Investigation conducted disclosed that prior to the incident; the victim was called by the suspect who was the live-in partner of his sister residing next to their house.
That upon approaching the house, without any apparent reason he was suddenly hacked by the suspect several times with a Bolo hitting the right part and back of his shoulder.
Victim was brought to ZANORTE Medical Center, Sicayab, Dipolog City for medical treatment while the suspect left the crime scene towards unknown direction.
Personnel of Dipolog City Police Station are still conducting follow-up operation for the possible arrest of the suspect.
RA 9165 Violator Arrested in Police Ops
LABASON, Zamboanaga del Norte - Police operatives of CIDG Zamboanga Sibugay, elements of Phil Army, Regional Drugs Enforcement Unit 9, Sibugay Regional Intelligence Unit 9, Labason Municipal Police Station and Zamboanga Sibugay PPO-Intel Branch conducted manhunt operation at about 4:45 PM of May 7, 2019.
Police Brigadier General Emmanuel Luis D Licup, PRO9 Director identified the arrested suspect as Asbi Samdani, aka Asbih, male, 39 years old, married and a resident of Brgy Osukan, Labason, Zamboanga del Norte.
He was arrested by virtue of warrant of arrest issued by Judge of Branch 36, 9th Judicial Region, Ipil, Zamboanga Sibugay dated June 6, 2019 with Criminal Case Nr I-6688 for violation of sec 11, RA 9165 with No bail bond recommended.
During the arrest, one (1) unit hand Grenade was also confiscated from his possession and moreover, said person is a member of Barahama Alih Group (DI listed CG).
Subject person is now under the custody of CIDG Zamboanga Sibugay PFU (lead) RFU9 for proper disposition
Arrest of Most Wanted Person
LIBERTAD, Zamboanga del Norte - PNP personnel of La Libertad Municipal Police Station in coordination with San Jose Municipal Police Station, Tarlac conducted manhunt operation at Brgy Sula, San Jose, Tarlac at about 11:00AM of May 7, 2019.
Police Brigadier General Emmanuel Luis D Licup, PRO9 Director said the operation led to the arrest of Rodel Lood Totongan, 30 years old, single, a laborer and a resident of Brgy Poblacion, La Libertad.
He was arrested by virtue of WOA issued by Judge of Branch 8, RTC, 9th Judicial Region, Dipolog City dated March 9, 2018 for the crime of murder, docketed under Criminal Case no. 22311 with No Bail bond recommended.
Arrested wanted person is now under the custody of La Libertad MPS for proper disposition.
