Arson Incident
Zamboanga Del Norte - an
arson incident at Brgy San Miguel, Polanco, Zamboanga Del Norte wherein the
house of Mr. Nerio Bael, 71 years old, widow was intentionally burned by the
suspect identified as Nono Calasang Acopio a resident of Dapitan City. Initial
investigation conducted disclosed that at about 10:00 PM of August 25, 2017, while
the victim was about to sleep in his house, he heard a burst of fire from a
kerosene lamp which was thrown by the suspect at the right portion of his
house. After which, he heard another two (2) gunfire and he saw the suspect
wearing bonnet in front of the door. Then and there, the victim defend himself,
armed with bolo and subsequently attacked the suspect that resulted to a
commotion between the duos. moment later, the victim’s daughter Remie Bael
Engad, 30 years old arrived and pacified the duo but the suspect also attacked
Remie until the suspect’s bonnet was removed. Suspect sustained hacked wounds
was brought to Jose Rizal Memorial Hospital, Dapitan City but was declared DOA
by the attending physician while the fire was controlled. Recovered from the crime scene were: 25
inches long bolo owned by the victim, flash light, cellphone, scabbard, firearm
pouch, sling bag color green, 1 pc .45 Cal ammunition and a traveling bag all
owned by the suspect. Nerio Bael was in custody of Polanco MPS for proper
disposition.
Stabbing Incident
Zamboanga Del Norte - At about
01:20 AM of august 25, 2017, Roderick Salibat Peñoso, 18 years old, single and
a resident of Brgy Malian, Gutalac, reported to Gutalac MPS that he was stabbed
by Ebi Garan, 29 years old, single and a resident of Brgy San Isidro, this
province. Initial investigation conducted disclosed that at about 11:00 PM of
august 24, 2017, the victim together with his girlfriend were having their date
at the unoccupied house situated at Brgy San Isidro, Zamboanga Del Norte. While
thereat, three (3) persons identified as Ebi Garan, Rowel Garan and Patricio
Calalin, all of legal age and residents of same place were having a drinking
session nearby particularly at the residence of Ev Dalucanog. that at about
1:00 AM of August 25, 2017, while the victim was about to leave, he was
attacked and boxed by the three (3) suspects without apparent reason wherein Ebi
Garan stabbed the victim by a bolo hitting at his lower right hips. Victim
managed to run and asked for help and further reported to Gutalac MPS while the
suspects fled to unknown direction. Personnel of Gutalac MPS brought the victim
to Labason Emergency Hospital for medication and immediately conducted hot
pursuit operation for the possible arrest of the suspect.
Project Double Barrel
Zamboanga Del Norte -
operatives of Liloy MPS together with Intel operatives of Zamboanga Del Norte conducted
buy bust operation at Brgy Fatima, Liloy, Zamboanga Del Norte at about 3:45 PM
of August 25, 2017. This resulted in the arrest of Gerry Boy Baunillo Miranda
(pusher), 28 years old, male, single, and a resident of Tapican, Liloy, Zdn.
Confiscated from his possession and control were: two (2) small transparent
plastic sachets containing white crystalline granules believed to be “shabu”,
one (1) piece aluminum foil and two (2) pieces of php100.00 marked money with
sns ah946752 and bq695458. The arrested subject person is presently detained at
Liloy MPS for filing of appropriated charges in court.
Direct Assault
Zamboanga Del Norte - at
about 9:00 AM of August 25, 2017, while Po1 Joel Caliora Samante – beat guard
was conducting roving patrol particularly along Bonifacio St., Central, Dipolog
City, Zamboanga Del Norte, was able to arrest Rico Alejandro Dimasuhid, 46
years old, married and a resident of Purok Buli, Minaog, Dipolog City. Subject
person disobeyed legal orders and attempted to punch the aforesaid police
officer while in the performance of duty. Arrested person was detained at
Dipolog CPS pending filing appropriate case in court.
