Drowning Incident
SIBUTAD - Drowning
incident transpired at Piñahon Island, Sibutad, Zamboanga Del Norte at about
5:40 PM of March 26, 2017. The cadaver was already brought at Sibutad Municipal
Hospital. The victim was identified as Roy Gurabot, 38 years old, male, a
resident of Sitio Malibago, Barangay Oro, Dapitan City. According to the
companions prior to the incident they were having a drinking spree. when they
were about to go home, they noticed that the victim was missing and they tried
to locate at about 4:00 PM of same date, they found the victim lifeless at the
sea water and was brought to Sibutad Municipal Hospital but no available
attending physician so they further brought to Jose Rizal Memorial Hospital,
Dapitan City but it declared dead on arrival by attending physician. PNP personnel
of Sibutad MPS conducted further investigation to determine if there is foul
play on the incident.

Theft Suspect Arrested
DIPOLOG CITY - Two
individuals were arrested by Barangay Tanods in Barangay Sta. Filomena, Dipolog
City, Zamboanga Del Norte at about 3:10 AM of March 26, 2017. Arrested was
Joshua Dandoy Gumical, 16 years old and Jerson Nono Cenas, 18 years old, both
residents of Katipunan St., Estaca, Dipolog City, Zamboanga Del Norte.
Accordingly, subjects were caught in the act stealing two (2) fighting cocks
owned by Sammuel Q. Descallar Jr, 25 years old, single and a resident Sta
Felomina, Dipolog City. Arrested suspects are now in custody of Dipolog CPS for
proper disposition.
Arrest of Wanted Person
SERGIO OSMEÑA - Personnel
of Sergio Osmeña MPS conducted law enforcement operation at Barangay Poblacion
Alto, Sergio Osmeña, Zamboanga Del Norte at about 8:30 AM of March 26, 2017.
This resulted to the arrest of Guedel Omandam Casiong, 40 years old, male,
married, farmer and a resident of Barangay Wilben, Sergio Osmeña, Zamboanga Del
Norte by virtue of warrant of arrest issued by Presiding Judge Rogelio D.
Laquihon Of RTC9, Branch 7, Dipolog City Dated February 28, 2017 for the crime of
rape in relation to ra 7610 docketed under cc no. 21424, without bail bond
recommended. Arrested suspect is presently detained at Sergio Osmeña MPS for
proper disposition.
Campaign against Illegal Gambling
DAPITAN CITY - Operatives
of Dapitan City Police Station conducted law enforcement operation against
illegal gambling locally known as “tong-its” at Purok Lanzones, Brgy. Burgos,
Dapitan City, Zamboanga Del Norte at about 3:00 PM of March 26, 2017. This resulted
to the arrest of three (3) suspects, namely; David Dagpin Quime-Quime, 51 years
old, male, married, Eldrich Bayron Ibanay, 24 years old, male, single and Leopoldo
Aviso Pacaro, 76 years old, male, married, all residents of said place. Confiscated
from their possession and control were one (1) set of playing cards and bet
money amounting to three hundred fifty pesos (p350.00) in different
denominations. Arrested suspects and the confiscated items were in custody of said
police station for proper disposition.
