Shooting Incident
KATIPUNAN - Shooting incident
occurred at Barangay New Tambo, Katipunan, Zamboanga Del Norte at about 6:45 AM
of March 9, 2017. The victim was identified as Ulysses Alegria Maghanoy, 66
years old; jobless a resident of Barangay Minang, Roxas, Zamboanga Del Norte.
He was shot by two (2) unidentified riding criminal. initial investigation
disclosed that prior to the incident, the victim was driving his motorcycle Honda
cab 125 cl bearing plate number 090810, engine number kyy30e032174 and chassis
number kyy30032185 left home going to Barangay New Tambo, Katipunan, Zamboanga
Del Norte to convey rice for milling. However, when the victim went home and
upon reaching at the national highway of Barangay Tambo, two (2) unidentified
riding criminals with half face cover, on board a motorcycle, with no attached
plate number shot the victim for several times hitting on the different parts
of his body. He was brought to Zamboanga Del Norte Medical Center, Dipolog City
but was pronounced dead on arrival by the attending physician. Recovered at the
crime scene were: two (2) rounds of ammunition for caliber .45, one (1) slug
for caliber .9mm, one (1) fired cartridge of caliber.45, four (4) fired cartridges
of caliber .9mm and one (1) unit Honda CB 125
with sidecar owned by the victim. Elements of Katipunan MPS are
continuously conducting manhunt operation and further investigation for the
identity of the suspects and the motive of the incident.

Arrest of Wanted Person
DIPOLOG CITY - Operatives of Dipolog
City Police Station and Katipunan MPS conducted manhunt operation at Barangay
Barra, Dipolog City, Zamboanga Del Norte at about 7:00 AM of March 9, 2017.
This led to the arrest of Vallawrence Sasuman Nantiza aka Lolen, 14 years old,
a resident of the above mentioned place. This is by virtue of warrant of arrest
for the crime of frustrated murder issued by Hon. Rogelio D Laquihon Presiding
Judge of RTC 9, Branch 7, Dipolog City, Zamboanga Del Norte docketed under
criminal case number 21391 with recommended bail bond of two hundred thousand
(₱200,000.00) pesos. Arrested minor is temporarily detained at Katipunan MPS for
proper disposition.
