Murder Suspect Arrested in Roxas, Zamboanga Del Norte

ROXAS, Zamboanga del Norte (July 27, 2018) - A murder suspect was arrested by operatives of Roxas MPS at his residence in Sitio Bintonong, Barangay Canibongan, Roxas, Zamboanga Del Norte at about 12:00 noon of July 24, 2018.

Police identified the arrested suspect as Joel Sumambod Bag-ot, 31 years old, married and resident of afore-mentioned place.

He was arrested by virtue of warrant of arrest for Murder which docketed in criminal case number 22596 issued by Hon. Ric S Bastasa, Presiding Judge, RTC9 Branch 8, Dipolog City dated July 19, 2018 with no bail recommended. He is now temporary detained at Roxas MPS while preliminary investigation is ongoing.

Woman Arrested in Dapitan City for Grave Slander

DAPITAN CITY (July 27, 2018) – The Operatives of Dapitan City Police Station and Zamboanga Del Norte Provincial Public Safety Company arrested one wanted female during conduct of joint manhunt operation at Barangay Potol of Dapitan City at about 12:20 PM of July 24, 2018.

Police identified the arrested female as Merlyn Pon Y Vailoces, 35 years old, married and a resident of Brgy Na. Uray, Dapitan City.

She was arrested by virtue of Warrant of Arrest issued by Presiding Judge Hilarion Jonathan G. Maagad, Municipal Trial Court in Cities (MTCC), 9TH Judicial Region, Dapitan City for the crime of Grave Slander with Criminal Case Number 18149. The case issued dated July 23, 2018 with bail bond recommended amounting to six Thousand Pesos (Php6, 000.00).

Arrested person is temporary detained at Dapitan City Police Station for proper disposition.

Vehicular Accident

JOSE DALMAN, Zamboanga del Norte (July 27, 2018) - On July 23, 2018 at about 1:30 PM, a vehicular accident transpired at the national highway of Brgy. Manawan, Jose Dalman, Zamboanga Del Norte.

Investigation conducted disclosed that the CT100B Kawasaki motorcycle, color black and blue combination, no plate number, no CR/OR presented, driven by Isagani Perater Delcoro, 31 years old, single, holder of Student Permit with No. J076501450 and a resident of Dinokot, Sindangan, Zamboanga del Norte together with his back rider Diether Delcoro Casaverde, 18 years old, single and a resident of same place.

They were travelling from south direction (Sindangan) going to north direction (Dipolog City), upon reaching at the said place, they swerved and crashed to the road.

Both the driver and back rider sustained injuries in different parts of their bodies and brought to Rural Health Unit of Jose Dalman for medical treatment, while the motorcycle involve was brought to Jose Dalman MPS for safekeeping. Investigator on case is PO1 Jemmar Ato Banecer (09479476014)

Suicide Incident in Sergio Osmeña, Zamboanga Del Norte

SERGIO OSMENA. Zamboanga del Norte (July 27, 2018) - Suicide incident transpired at San Isidro, Sergio Osmeña, Zamboanga Del Norte at about 4:00 AM of July 24, 2018.

Sergio Osmeña MPS identified the victim as one Randy Galila Dela Cruz, 30 years old, married male, farmer and a resident of afore-mentioned place. Accordingly, at about 06:30 in the morning more or less of same date  Isidro Gooc y Beradio (father In-law of the victim), 68 years old, married, farmer, and a resident of Brgy.

San Isidro went to the house of Randy (victim) situated at Sitio Maganda, Brgy. San Isidro and upon arrival at the said house, he saw the latter lying inside and believed to be lifeless. He immediately informed the father of the victim. Investigation further disclosed that the victim drunk a poison (tubli) as discovered by the responding PNP elements.

Upon examination by the Municipal Health personnel discovered that the cause of death was poison. Investigator on-case is PO3 Reynante Obnimaga Bersales with cellphone number 09092200803.

Stabbing Incident

TAMPILISAN, Zamboanga del Norte (July 27, 2018) - Stabbing incident at Brgy Balacbaan, Tampilisan, Zamboanga Del Norte at about 4:23 PM of July 25, 2018.

The victim was identified as Tirso Tao Buhali, 37, and the suspect is Renante Gonotan Lumangoy, 20, both residents of said place.

Investigation conducted disclosed that at about 4:20PM of same date, while the victim was standing at the covered court of said barangay, the suspect arrived and without any words stabbed the victim once by the used of knife hitting the stomach.

Victim sustained stabbed wound was brought to Ipil Emergency Hospital, Ipil, Zamboanga Sibugay for medical treatment while the suspect fled away to unknown direction after the incident.

Recovered from the crime scene was the knife of the suspect. Personnel of Tampilisan MPS are still conducting follow-up operation for the arrest of the suspect. Investigator is PO3 Carim Billones Magallion with CP no. 09352766314.

Anti-Illegal Drugs Operation

DIPOLOG CITY (July 27, 2018) - The Drugs Enforcement Team of Dipolog City Police Station in coordination with PDEA9 conducted drug buy-bust operation at Mabini St., Brgy Barra, Dipolog City at about 7:50 PM of July 25, 2018 particularly in front of Billiard Hall of Cesar Edulan.

The operation was led to the successful arrest of Roland Bunac Alegrado, 36 years old, high school level, jobless, single and a resident of above-mentioned place.

Confiscated/recovered from the suspect were the following items:

Two pieces small size heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing white crystalline granules believed to be “shabu” as buybust evidence,

Two pieces small size heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing white crystalline granules believed to be “shabu”,  

Two pieces big size heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing white crystalline granules believed to be “shabu”,

One piece one-hundred peso bill as proceeds money, and

Two pieces Five Hundred Peso (Php500.00) bill as buy-bust money. Estimated market value of confiscated illegal drugs (shabu) amounting to Twenty Thousand Pesos (Php20, 000.00).

The confiscated items were in custody of Dipolog City Police Station for proper disposition.

Reported Incident on July 21, 2018

Suicide Incident

Katipunan, Zamboanga Del Norte (July 26, 2018) - Suicide incident transpired at Purok 6 Mangga, Brgy Miatan, Katipunan, Zamboanga Del Norte.

The victim was identified as Antonio Emoc Guminta, 53 years old, a resident of above-mentioned place. He was found dead hanging at the cliff wherein his neck was tied with a rope.

Initial investigation conducted disclosed that prior to the death of the victim, at about 6:00pm of July 17, 2018, he was seen passed-by at the house of her sister Emily carrying with a rope measuring more or less two meters going to the place where the pig of the victim was placed. On July 18, 2018, Emily was bothered for the disappearance of her brother because her brother used to eat at their residence.

She then informed her brother Peddie Emoc Guminta, and at about 8:00AM of July 20, 2018, the victim was found dead at the creek and believed to have committed suicide.

Further investigation revealed that the victim was observed to be always lonely due to financial problems and accordingly, he was already tired about in his situation.

Post mortem conducted by Municipal Health Office of Katipunan MPS disclosed that there’s no sign of foul play noted. Cadaver of the victim was turned-over to his relatives for proper disposition.

Report on Shooting Incident

Sindangan, Zamboanga Del Norte (July 26, 2018) - An alleged commotion happened at RPM Disco bar at Poblacion, Sindangan, Zamboanga Del Norte at about 12:40 AM of July 21, 2018. Immediately, Sindangan MPS responded to verify the veracity of the report.

Upon arrival at the crime scene, Police identified the victim as Alfred Casaberde y Del Coro, 25 years old, male, single, Filipino, a resident of Tigbao, Sindangan, Zamboanga Del Norte was already brought by his friends to Sindangan District Hospital. The victim sustained gunshot wound when the guard of RPM who was immediately surrendered to Sindangan MPS accidentally fired a warning shot of his issued Cal .38 revolver.

Initial investigation conducted disclosed, the security guard identified as Jaril Proceso y Dumagat, 31 years old, male, Filipino, a resident of Talinga, Leon Postigo, Zamboanga Del Norte.

While he was rendering his duty as guard of the said Disco Bar. Suddenly there was an argumentation happened inside between the group of the victim and Tristan Aligay y Lumbo, 17 years old, male Filipino, single, a resident of Piao, Sindangan.

The guard pacified them and that prompted them to settle down. When the guard noticed that one Agustos Greg Abapo y Redillas, 29 years old, male, Filipino, a resident of Piao, Sindangan was vomiting inside the bar, he ordered Tristan Aligay y Lumbo to bring his friend Agustos outside so it will not disturbed other costumers inside.

Instead of getting his friend outside, Agustos Greg attacked and punched the guard once and then eventually pushed him. When the guard lurched, he was again attacked mauled by Tristan Aligay that prompted him to draw his issued Cal .38 revolvers and fired a warning shot.

Eventually, the fired bullet hitting his belly accidentally hit the victim who was standing beside the guard. And when Tristan Aligay continues to attack the guard, he again fired a warning shot on the ground that prompted Tristan Aligay to run outside.

The suspect Tristan Aligay and Agustos Greg Abapo were arrested and brought to Sindangan District Hospital for medical examination and later brought to Sindangan MPS for filing of charge against them.

Meanwhile, the guard who voluntary surrendered was also subjected for medical examination and was detained for proper disposition of the case while his issued revolver was turned-over by the other guard on duty to the responding investigator.  

Recovered revolver is made of U.S.A. (Taurus) with serial number PRO120611926 containing two fired cartridge and four live ammunition. Investigator of the case is PO2 Roland A. Dolotallas with contact no 09261360590.

1 killed in Stabbing Incident

Sibutad, Zamboanga Del Norte (July 26, 2018) - a stabbing incident transpired at Purok 6, Poblacion, Sibutad, Zamboanga Del Norte at about 10:35 PM of July 20, 2017, wherein the victim identified as Zosima Omaguing Abayon, 54 years old, and the suspect was her live-in partner Abelino Larot Elumbaring, 64 yo, both residents of said place.

Initial investigation conducted disclosed that prior to the incident, both victim and the suspect were having a drinking session at the store owned by Posoy Taruc of same place and after which they went to their home and had a heated argument thereat.

While in the heights of their argument, the suspect suddenly stabbed the victim once hitting at the chest that caused her instantaneous death.

The suspect was arrested by the responding team and now was detained at Sibutad MPS while the victim was turned-over to her relatives for proper disposition. Investigator is PO3 Amor Cabala Dizon with CP no. 09272114421.

July 19, 2018 Reported Incidents in Zamboanga del Norte

Shooting Incident

SIBUCO, Zamboanga Del Norte (July 24, 2018) - Shooting incident transpired at Sitio Logpond, Barangay Poblacion, Sibuco, Zamboanga Del Norte at about 12:30 AM of July 19, 2018.

The victim was identified as Hadjal Nanang Taulani, 51 years old, widow, farmer and a resident of the aforementioned place. He was shot to death by an unidentified suspect.

Initial investigation conducted disclosed that according to the victim’s family at about 12:30 AM of July 19, 2018, unidentified person suddenly came to their house armed with pistol, went inside and harassed the occupants of said house and with no apparent reason shoot the victim several times resulted to his instantaneous death.

After the incident, the suspect fled towards Barangay Nasal direction. Elements of Sibuco MPS are now conducting follow-up police operation for possible arrest and identification of the suspect and to establish the motive on said incident. Road Crash Incident

GUTALAC, Zamboanga Del Norte (July 24, 2018) - Vehicular traffic accident transpired at the National Highway of Brgy. Salvador, Gutalac, Zamboanga Del Norte at about 3:45PM of July 18, 2018.

The accident was involving:

-One Bongo type Mitsubishi vehicle bearing plate no. TEY 426,  driven by Florencio Soday Alimpos Jr. with driver license no. JO5-10-001863, 32 years old, male, single and resident of Brgy. Doña Josefa, Ipil, Zamboanga Sibugay Province and

-One single Motorcycle XRM 125, color black/white with temporary plate no. MV File No. 0901-208579, driven by one Sherma Jamani Manisig, 23 years old, female, married, house wife and resident of Brgy. Canuto Enerio, Gutalac, Zamboanga del Norte and driving without license with back rider named Samiraya Ahil Manisig, 47 years old, female, married, housewife and Hanna Jamani Manisig, 6 years old child all resident of Brgy. Canuto Enerio, Gutalac, Zamboanga Del Norte.

Initial investigation conducted by Gutalac MPS disclosed that the Mitsubishi vehicle traveling from Labason heading to Gutalac proper and upon reaching at the junction road of Brgy. Salvador this municipality, a single MC XRM 125 which is also plying from Gutalac Public Market going to Brgy. Canuto Enerio accidentally collide each other that resulted to the damage of both vehicles and injured both driver and back rider of single MC XRM 125.

Injured persons were immediately rushed to Labason District Hospital for immediate medical treatment while both vehicles were brought at Godod MPS and the Driver of Mitsubishi Bongo type was temporarily under custody of the said station for proper disposition.

Fishing Boat Held in Jose Dalman for Illegal Fishing

JOSE DALMAN, Zamboanag del Norte (July 24, 2018) - Police operatives of Jose Dalman MPS conducted operation against illegal fishing at the municipal seawater of Brgy. Madalag, Jose Dalman, Zamboanga Del Norte at about 10:00 AM of July 19, 2018.

ThE operation was led to the interception of one fishing boat named “J and J”, color yellow and blue combination; manage by Joseph Reambonanza Duterte, 52 years old, married, and resident of Motibot, Sindangan, Zamboanga Del Norte for violation of Municipal Fishery Ordinance No. 005-008-2015.

Said person was brought to Jose Dalman MPS and subsequently released after paying the penalty amounting to Two Thousand five hundred pesos (P2, 500.00) at Municipal Treasurers office dated July 19, 2018.\

Hacking Incident

SIOCON, Zamboanga del Norte (July 24, 2018) - Hacking incident occurred at Sitio Dao, Brgy. Makiang, Siocon, Zamboanga Del Norte at about 8:20 PM of July 20, 2018.

The victim was identified as Nurmiya Sangkula Sahirin, 23 years old and the suspect was identified as Alhambra Danduh Wahab, 30 years old, both residents of said place.

Initial investigation conducted disclosed that at around 8:00PM of same date while the victim was taking a bath at a deep well which was situated near their house and the same certain Adzmin Wahab also fetching water from the deep well and they both have an argument regarding the fetching of waters.

Then and there, the suspect came along, interfere and suddenly hacked the victim with the used of bolo inflicting injuries to the latter’s head.

After which, the suspect fled away towards the hinterland of Brgy Makiang, Siocon and nowhere to be found, while the victim was brought to Siocon District Hospital for medical treatment.

Personnel of Siocon MPS are now conducting follow up operation for the possible arrest of the suspect. Investigator is PO2 Siegfried M. De la Cruz with CP no. 0917-7665-763.

Incident Reports in the province of Zamboanga del Norte on July 18, 2018

1 dead in Stabbing Incident, suspect arrested

DIPOLOG CITY (July 21, 2018) - Stabbing incident transpired at a bunk house of Mandarin Hardware located at Magsaysay St., Brgy. Miputak, Dipolog City at about 8:40 PM of July 18, 2018.

Initial investigation conducted disclosed that at around 8:30 PM of same date, the victim identified as one Joey Ando Sumambod, 25 years old, single, with postal address at Brgy. Moliton, Pres. Manuel A. Roxas, Zamboanga del Norte, truck man of Mandarin Hardware located at Tomas Claudio St., Miputak, Dipolog Cit.

He was stabbed by the suspect identified as Anthony Atig Caiso, 26 years old, single, with postal address of Brgy. Tinaytayan, Piñan, Zamboanga del Norte, driver of Mandarin Hardware located at above-mentioned place..

Prior to the incident, the suspect got wild at the said bunk house because of his missing cellular phone and was caution by the victim that made the suspect angry against the victim.

Afterwards, the suspect left the said bunkhouse and after a couple of minutes went back carrying a knife and when the victim noticed the suspect he hurriedly ran and went inside his room but the suspect followed him and when the victim was cornered in his room the suspect stabbed the victim once hitting on his stomach without sufficient reason.

During interview to the witness Elsie Ageas Suya, 28 years old, single, with postal address of Brgy. Moliton, Pres. Manuel A. Roxas, Zamboanga del Norte and temporarily residing at the said bunkhouse, she revealed that she saw the suspect Anthony Caiso stabbed the victim Joey Sumambod on the stomach then fled to unknown direction.

His co-employee of Mandarin Hardware in the person of Nelson Andab and Jemar Ambag then brought the victim to ZaNorte Medical Center located at Sicayab, Dipolog City on board a passenger motorcab and was attended by Dr. Mark Anthony Mariñas.

Recovered from the crime scene was a kitchen knife measuring 7.5 inches long without handle and with blood stain believed to be the weapon used by the suspect.

During hot pursuit operation at around 9:00pm of same date, PO2 Brian Mariano arrested the suspect along Amatong Road, Brgy, Miputak, Dipolog City. The suspect was further informed his constitutional rights and were then brought and temporary detained at Dipolog CPS pending filing of appropriate charges in court.

The recovered weapon used by the suspect was deposited at the said office for court exhibits.

At around 9:50pm of same date, the victim was declared dead by the attending physician Dr. Mark Anthony Mariñas. The cadaver of the victim now lies at ZaNorte Morgue. Investigator on case is PO1 Nelvin B Mangan with Contact Number 09266972128.

Burning Incident

SIBUCO, Zamboanga del Norte (July 21, 2018) – On July 18, 2018 at about 8:30 AM, information received from one of the construction worker of BENRAM Construction Company that one unit of their backhoe truck located at Sitio logpond, Brgy. Poblacion, Sibuco, Zamboanga Del Norte was burned down by unidentified suspects.

Elements of Sibuco MPS verify the said information together with 42nd Infantry Battalion conducted verification to said information on the reported area.

As the troops arrived thereat, one unit of Backhoe owned by BENRAM Construction Company was already been burned.

Investigation disclosed that at about 4:30 in the afternoon of July 17, 2018, the operator of the said unit in the person of Felix Bangciso Cristobal, 35 years old, married and a resident of Brgy. La Paz, Zamboanga City after conducted quarrying operation at same area. He parked the said unit along the road adjacent to their quarrying site and as they went back in the morning at about 6:30am of July 18, 2018 the operator was surprised that their unit was already been burned.

PNP elements of Sibuco MPS are conducting thorough investigation to identify the suspects and motive of the incident.

Wanted Person Arrested in Sindangan

SINDANGAN, Zamboanga del Norte (July 21, 2018) - PNP personnel of Sindangan MPS conducted manhunt operation at Balok, Sindangan, Zamboanga Del Norte at about 5:30AM of July 18, 2018.

The operation was resulted in the arrest of Doralino Jugo Gomez, 22 years old, male, single a resident of Brgy. Balok, Sindangan, Zamboanga Del Norte.

The accused was charged for the crime of Attempted Murder with Criminal Case number S-5066 dated July 18, 2017 issued by Hon. Reymar L. Lacaya presiding judge RTC9 Branch 11, Sindangan, Zamboanga Del Norte with bail bond recommended amounted to ₱120,000.00.

The arrested subject person is now under the custody of Sindangan MPS for proper disposition.

RA 9262 Violator Arrested

KATIPUNAN, Zamboanga del Norte (July 21, 2018) - PNP personnel of Katipunan MPS together with the PNP elements of Cebu City Police Office conducted joint manhunt operation at Minoza St, Brgy. Talamban, Cebu City at about 9:30 AM of July 17, 2018.

The joint operation was resulted to the arrest of Virgilio R. Balancar, 57 years old, Married, Filipino, and a resident of Barangay San Antonio, Katipunan, Zamboanga Del Norte.

He was arrested by virtue of Warrant of Arrest for Violation of Sec. 5(a) of RA 9262 docketed under criminal case number 17683 issued by Hon. Rogelio D Laquihon, Presiding Judge of RTC, 9th Judicial Region, Branch 7, Bulwagan ng Katarungan, Dipolog City. The WOA dated December 28, 2012  with bail bond amounted to Sixty Thousand pesos (₱60,000.00) for his temporary liberty.

Said wanted person is listed as Top Number Ten Most Wanted Person, Municipal Level.  Subject person is currently detained in Station 8, Cebu City Police Office and will be travelled and brought to Katipunan Municipal Police Station for proper disposition.

July 16, 2018 Incident Reports in Zamboanga del Norte

2 Arrested in Dipolog City Drug Bust

DIPOLOG CITY (July 16, 2018) - Operatives of Zamboanga Del Norte Drugs Enforcement Unit, 901st RMFB9, Dipolog City Police Station and PDEA conducted joint drug buy-bust operation at Turno, Dipolog City particularly at Purok Sidlakan, Turno, Dipolog Cityat about 5:33AM of July 17.

The operation led to the arrest of Lindy Tiro y Pingkian “Alias Lindy”, waitress, 25, a resident of Tinglan, Mutia, Zamboanga Del Norte, Newly Identified High Value Target and John Rey Elman y Cañete, user, construction laborer, 29, single and resident of Purok Sidlakan, Turno, Dipolog City.

Confiscated and recovered from the possession were 2 sachets of shabu, P500 peso bill as marked money and illegal drug paraphernalia.

Both suspects are presently detained at the Dipolog City Police Station for proper disposition.

Drug Dealer Arrested in Labason

LABASON, ZaNorfte (July 16, 2018) -ON July 16, 2018 at about 6:45 PM, PNP elements of Labason MPS together with the elements of Zamboanga Del Norte Mobile Force Company conducted buy-bust operation against Drug Personalities in the AOR. Prior to the operation,

Intel operatives of Labason MPS were in close monitoring and surveillance of the illegal drugs operation in the AOR. When a confidential informant (CI) reported to Intel Operatives of Labason MPS that one drug personality will be having an illegal drugs transaction at Brgy Antonino Labason Zambonaga Del Norte, a buy bust operation was then initiated against the subject with the proper coordination to the PDEA.

As a result, one Alain Capagal Quines aka Alayn Quines, 44 years old, male, married, 2nd year college, born on April 3, 1974, pusher, and a resident of Brgy Antonino, Labason, was successfully arrested along the street with more or less 100 meters away from his residence.

After the poseur buyer deal with and received One piece small sachet of white crystalline granules suspected as shabu (buy bust drug), the  PNP back up immediately help to take the arrest of the subject.  Subject person was a HVT in Labason, Zamboanga Del Norte and surrendered last June 30, 2016.

Recovered from his possession and control were the following items, to wit:

1) One piece one heat sealed sachet containing of white crystalline granules suspected as shabu (Buy Bust Drugs) as buy bust evidence;

2) Three pieces heat sealed sachet containing with white crystalline granules suspected as shabu taken from the control and possession of one Alayn Quines;

3) One piece five hundred peso bill "Buy Bust Money" taken from the control and possession to one Alayn Quines bearing serial nr EP749166 as marked money;

4) Three pieces paper bills (One Hundred Pesos) bearing serial nr BN 971807, Twenty Pesos bill bearing serial nr Z320533 and Twenty Pesos bill bearing serial nr SC961964 as proceeds;

5) One  unit cellular phone Oppo with one sim card outside; and 6) One (1) unit XRM 125 with plate nr JA 15711.

All seized and confiscated items were brought to Labason MPS for further documentation and proper disposition of the case while the suspect is now under the custody of Labason MPS for proper filing of cases against him in court. 2 Injured in Vehicular Accident

DALMAN. ZaNorte (July 16, 20189) - Vehicular accident transpired at Sitio Mailig, Brgy. Poblacion, Jose Dalman, Zamboanga Del Norte at about 6:30AM of July 16, 2018 wherein one Joseph Carl Amodia Y Tubang, 11 years old, Grade 6 pupil of Ponot Central School, and a resident of afore-mentioned place while crossing the street, accidentally bump by the incoming motorcycle.

The Red Rouser Kawasaki Motorcycle bearing plate number JA 12679, driven by Kevin Empremiado Y Caay, 26 years old, married, employee of Joshua Engineering at Roxas, Zamboanga Del Norte and a resident of Siari Jhon H Roemer, Sindangan, Zamboanga del Norte, who is travelling from south direction (Sindangan) going to north direction (Dipolog).

Both the victim and the driver sustained injuries to the different parts of their bodies and were immediately brought by the responding PNP personnel to Manukan District Hospital for medical treatment, while the involved motorcycle was brought to Jose Dalman MPS for proper disposition. Investigator on case is PO1 Jemmar Ato Banecer with contact number 09479476014.

1 Dead in Fire Incident

GUTALAC, ZaNorte (July 16, 2018) - Fire incident transpired at the residential establishment in Pitogo, Gutalac, Zamboanga Del Norte owned by Mr. and Mrs. Leonardo Montefalcon at about12:10 AM of July 16, 2018.

Gutalac MPS together with the personnel of Bureau of Fire Protection, Gutalac responded and upon arrival at the crime scene the house was already raze and discovered a dead body identified as one Leonardo Montefalcon y Devillares, 64 yrs., married and resident of said place.

Initial investigation disclosed that prior to the incident, every time when the victim got drunk he always threatened his wife Clarita Montefalcon y Sila, 50 yrs. old that she will be beheaded and also said that he will burn their house.

As a result of this incident, the wife left their house and went to their neighbor’s house to sleep leaving alone her husband since her husband was drunk.

After an hour later, she found out that their house was in flame and not knowing that her husband was still inside. Fire incident happened at around 12:10 AM of July 16, 2018.

Estimated cost of damage as per computation by the BFP was amounting to P67, 200.00.

Cause of fire believed to be self-inflicted and intentionally burned by the victim resulted to the total destruction and loss of his life.

Cadaver of the victim lay at state at the residence of his sister at the same barangay. Investigator on case is PO1 Celbert Tendero Berjame with contact number 0948-294-7804.

Female Pusher Arrested in Labason

LABASON, ZaNorter (July 2018) - PNP elements of Labason MPS together with elements of Zamboanga Del Norte Mobile Force Company conducted buy bust operation at Brgy San Antonino, Labason, Zamboanga Del Norte at about 6:45 PM of July 16, 2018.

The operation was led to the arrest of Allen Quines, 44, female, pusher, surrendered last June 30, 2016, married and a resident of Brgy San Antonino, Labason.

Recovered from her possession were 3pcs sachet of shabu, 1pc P500 bill as marked money and illegal drug paraphernalia.

Suspect is presently detained at the Labason MPS for proper disposition.

Vehicular Accident

PIÑAN, ZaNorte (July 17, 2018) - Vehicular accident along the national highway of Brgy Lapu-lapu, Pinan, Zamboanga Del Norte at about 7:15 PM of July 15, 2018DN, involving red Honda XLR motorcycle bearing plate number JL 2148, owned and driven by PO3 Oscias Garcia Zamaora, 49 years old, married an active member of PNP presently assigned at Dipolog CPS.

Initial investigation conducted disclosed that prior to the accident the victim went to visit his house situated at Brgy El Paraiso, La Libertad, Zamboanga Del Norte and while on his way to report for duty at Dipolog CPS on-board his motorcycle with crash helmet and upon reaching the place of accident, particularly at the unlighted ongoing reconstructed concrete bridge of DPWH, suddenly bumped the non-reflectorized warning signage and ran over the stock filed soil and boulders right at the edge of the bridge.

After which, the victim was thrown into the excavated bridge and his face was hit in the edge of the concrete bridge while the motorcycle was also thrown away from him.

As a result, the victim suffered severe injuries in different parts of his body and was immediately brought to Pinan District Hospital and after a few minutes the attending physician Dr. Francisco Opena Legaspi II pronounced him dead at about 8:02 PM of same date. July 13, 2018 Reported Incident in Zamboanga del Norte

Motor Vehicle Traffic Accident

LILOY, Zamboanga Del Norte (July 14, 2018) - A motor vehicle traffic accident transpired at national highway of Brgy Overview, Liloy, Zamboanga Del Norte at about 2:35 PM of July 12, 2018.

The accident was involving three vehicles described as follows:

a. Vehicle 1- Toyota Hilux bearing plate no JQK888, driven by Edgardo Abog Flores, 52 and a resident of Katipunan, Zamboanga Del Norte;

b. Vehicle 2- yellow/white Mitsubishi Canter driven by Geovani Duhig Pasa, 21 yo and a resident of Cabangcalan, Liloy, and

c. Vehicle 3- red tricycle driven by Gilbert Comighod Cansay, 35 yo and a resident of Barangay Overview, Liloy.

Investigation conducted disclosed that while Mitsubishi and tricycle were running in descending motion wherein tricycle is ahead of Mitsubishi.

Upon reaching the place of accident particularly at the one lane road, tricycle stopped to give way the incoming Toyota which was also travelling from opposite direction, but suddenly Mitsubishi bumped the rear portion of tricycle due to brake malfunction and further bumped Toyota.

As a result, the driver of tricycle was injured and all vehicles incurred minor damages.

Victim was brought to Liloy Integrated Hospital for medical treatment while all vehicles and the driver of Mitsubishi were in custody of Liloy MPS for proper disposition.

Stabbing Incident

ROXAS, Zamboanga Del Norte (July 14, 2018) - Stabbing incident at Brgy langatian, Roxas, Zamboanga Del Norte at about 4:35 PM of July 12, 2018.

The victim identified as Noli Labadlabad, 30 and the suspect identified as Samuel Dila Sumambod, 25, both residents of said place.

Initial investigation conducted disclosed that prior to the incident the victim and the suspect were having a drinking session, which resulted to an intense argument due to personal grudge.

While in the heights of their argument, the suspect drew a knife and subsequently stabbed the victim hitting the back portion of the body.

Victim sustained lone stabbed wound was brought to ZANORTE Medical Center, Sicayab, Dipolog City while the suspect fled immediately after the incident towards Brgy Piao of same municipality.

Personnel of Roxas MPS are still conducting follow-up operation for the possible arrest of the suspect.

Suicide Incident

RIZAL, Zamboanga Del Norte (July 15, 2018) - Suicide incident transpired at Barangay Sipaon, Rizal, Zamboanga Del Norte wherein one Leonardo Perez Tan-Awon, male, 41 years old, single, resident of Brgy. Sipaon, Rizal, Zamboanga Del Norte was found dead hanging at his residence at about 8:40 AM of July 13, 2018.

PNP elements of Rizal MPS went to afore-mentioned place to verify the veracity of said report and saw the dead body of Leonardo Perez hanging and has already unpleasant odor.

Accordingly, said person was seen alive on July 10, 2018 at 6:00 PM. Cadaver was brought to Zambonaga Del Norte Provincial Hospital to examine the exact cause of his death.

The examination revealed that the caused was strangulation/asphyxiation secondary to hanging (suicidal) done by Dr. Eduardo M Luayon, Provincial health Officer II. Investigator on case is PO2 Jay Albert Rubi with cellphone number 09309396397.

1 Dead in Hacking Incident

PIÑAN, Zamboanga Del Norte (July 14, 2018) - Hacking incident transpired at Purok 3, Brgy Calican, Piñan, Zamboanga Del Norte at about 11:00 PM of July 11, 2018.

The suspect identified as Carlito Marabesi Cabrera, 66 yrs. old, widow, farmer and the victim his own son identified as Velmor Suminguit Cabrera, 38 yrs. old, single, both residents of Brgy Calican, Pinan, Zamboanga Del Norte.

Investigation conducted disclosed that prior to the incident; the victim and the suspect were having a heated argument due to misunderstanding. While in the heights of their argument the victim boxed the suspect, that prompted the suspect to grab a bolo and subsequently hacked the victim several times hitting in the different parts of the body that caused his instantaneous death.

Cadaver of the victim was turned-over to his relatives while the suspect was arrested and now detained at Pinan MPS for proper disposition.

4 Held in Jose Dalman for Illegal Fishing

JOSE DALMAN Zamboanga del norte (July 10, 2018) -  On July 8, 2018 at around 10:45 PM, Jose Dalman MPS received information that a group of persons were fishing at the Marine Sanctuary of Brgy. Poblacion, Jose Dalman, Zamboanga Del Norte.

Immediately, PNP personne of Jose Dalman MPS together with Municipal Fish Coordinator Mr. Rex Moncada proceeded to aforementioned place wherein at about 11:30PM, said team successfully apprehended five persons.

The five persons were identified as namely:

Nathaniel Bartonico Emit, 48 years old, married,

Roy Bartonico Amorin, 37 years old, single, and

Jemuel Sandot Emit, 24 years old, single, both residents of Poblacion,

Jose Dalman, Richard Pizon Amban, 28 years old, single, and

Albert Culanculan Tiong, 35 years old, married, and both residents of Suasayan, Manukan.

They were arrestede for violation of Municipal Fishery Ordinance No. 005-008-2015. Said persons were temporary detained while their fishing “Pana” was confiscated for proper disposition.
