Fire Incident
LABASON - Fire
incident occurred at about 6:00 PM of March 4, 2017, at the house of a certain Nina
Sagang, located at Barangay Bobongan, Labason. The house which was made of
light materials was razed by fire. investigation conducted by the responding PNP
personnel and BFP Labason disclosed that the incident was intentionally done by
a certain Jerry Canoy Sagang, 27 years old, male, single, son of the owner of
the house and a resident of said place. Estimated cause of damage is forty
thousand pesos (P40, 000.00) and no casualties during the incident. Hot pursuit
operation was conducted by elements of Labason MPS and at about 6:50 PM of same
date. Subject person was arrested along the road of Barangay Bobongan, Labason.
Arrested person is now detained at Labason MPS for proper disposition. .

Operation against Illegal Drugs
LABASON - Combined elements
of Labason MPS, PDEA and Intel operative Military Authorities conducted a buy
bust operation at Babami Beach Resort, Sitio Lupag, Barangay Malintuboan,
Labason, Zamboanga Del Norte at about 11:40 PM of March 3 2017. This resulted
to the arrest of Matt Paul Paguia Iguana, Barangay Councilor of Dansalan,
Labason, 29 years old, male, single, of said place. This after he sold to police
agent who acted as the poseur buyer of heat sealed transparent plastic sachet
containing white crystalline substance believed to be shabu in exchange for
p1,000.00 buy-bust money. confiscated from his possession were: two (2) pcs
heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing white crystalline substance
believed to be shabu (buy-bust), one (1) mighty cigarette wrapper, one (1) pc
transparent heat-sealed big plastic sachet, four (4) pcs heat-sealed transparent
plastic sachets containing white crystalline substance believed to be shabu,
one (1) unit black Samsung duos cell phone, one (1) unit blue and white motorcycle Honda xrm125
bearing plate with plate number 59870 with key, one (1) brown Jamesport sling
bag containing one (1) black nathaniel wallet with DILG ID, Barangay Kagawad
ID, BIR ID, and assorted papers; black Samsung charger; one stab omeprazole
capsule; three (3) pcs lubricated condoms; one (1) pc. Metal gel ball pen, one
(1) pc five peso coin, two (2) pcs five hundred peso bill with serial numbers
m203279 and gk925728 as buy-bust money. Arrested subject person is presently
detained at PDEA Zanorte for proper disposition.
