NEWS RELEASE - May 30, 2018

RA 7610 Violator Arrested in Dipolog City   
Intelligence and Warrant Personnel of Dipolog CPS conducted manhunt operation at South Curvada, Galas, Dipolog City At about 10:00 AM of May 30, 2018.

The operation resulted in the arrest of Ronald Narvaez Pampilo, male, married, 50 years old, a resident of South Curvada, Galas, Dipolog City.

Je was arrested by virtue a Warrant of Arrest issued by Hon. Rogelio D. Laquihon, Presiding Judge of RTC Branch 7, Bulwagan ng Katarungan, Dipolog City dated May 25, 2018 for violation of RA 7610, docketed in Criminal Case Number 22464, with recommended bail bond in the amount of Eighty Thousand Pesos (P80,000.00). 

Arested accused is now under the temporary custody of Dipolog CPS for proper disposition.

Arrest of Wanted Person in Jose Dalman            
PNP Personnel of Jose Dalman MPS conducted manhunt operation at Brgy. Tabon, Jose Dalman, Zamboanga Del Norte at about 10:00 AM of May 30, 2018.

This resulted in the arrest of Cleofi Ampoon Suganob, 52 years old, married, and a resident of Brgy. Tabon, Jose Dalman, Zamboanga Del Norte.

He was arrested by virtue of warrant of arrest issued by Presiding Judge Reymar L Lacaya of RTC, Ninth Judicial Region, Sindangan, Zamboanga Del Norte dated May 07, 2018 for the crime of Estafa docketed under criminal case number S-5748 with Bail Bond fixed at Sixty Thousand Pesos (P60,000.00). Arrested person is now under the temporary custody of Jose Dalman MPS for proper disposition.

Murder Suspect Arrested in Law Enforcement Operation in Salug
On May 29, 2018 at about 2:30 PM, Joint PNP personnel from 905th Mobile Company of Regional Mobile Force Battalion 9 and Salug MPS conducted Law Enforcement Operation through Service of Warrant of Arrest at the boundary of Brgy. Pacuhan and Brgy. Pukay both of Salug, Zamboanga Del Norte.

The operation conducted against Barcello Bendo, 35 yrs. old, married, resident of Kabasalan, Zamboanga Sibugay Province and temporarily residing at Brgy. Pukay, Salug, with standing Warrant of Arrest for the crime of Murder docketed under criminal case no. I-4013 issued by Executive Judge Reubin LO. Maraon of RTC of Zamboanga Sibugay, Ninth Judicial Region, Branch 24 with no bailbond recommended.

Subject person opened fire at the operating troops upon sensing the arrival of latter which prompted them to return fire. 

Subject person sustained gunshot wounds and was immediately brought to Liloy General Hospital, Liloy, Zamboanga Del Norte for medication.

Recovered at the crime scene was one unit cal. 38 revolver. Said firearm was properly turned-over to Salug MPS for proper disposition.

Suspect was further forwarded to ZaNorte Medical Center, Dipolog City for further medical attention and still under the custody and being guarded by personnel of 905th MC for same purpose.


Vehicular Accident in Tungawan

On May 30, 2018 at about 5:20 AM, a Vehicular accident transpired along National highway of Purok 5 Barangay Upper Tungawan, Tungawan, Zamboanga Sibugay involving the two (2) vehicle describe as follows:
Vehicle 1 - Utility Vehicle Bongo, Mazda, color blue, bearing temporary plate No. 090102, engine No. WL457674, chassis No. SY54T-100199, MV FILE No. 0901-00000115931 registered under Anatalia Castro and driven by Generoso B. Villarin, 39 years old, male, single and a resident of Barangay Talon-Talon Zamboanga City.
Vehicle 2 – Rural Truck Bus, bearing plate no. KVM958, engine No. J08C-TK11816, chassis No. RK1JMT-10553, registered under Rural Transit Inc. and driven by Alan Cajocon Tubling, 46 years old, male, married and resident of Labrador Polanco Zamboanga Del Norte.

Initial investigation conducted disclosed that V1 was traveling to Zamboanga City while V2 was traveling to Ipil ZSP and upon reaching the above mentioned place of accident V1 dozed-off and suddenly bumped to V2 thus resulted to untimely death of the driver of V1 and the (2) two passengers identified as follows:
(1) Generoso B. Villarin (driver), 39 years old, male, single and a resident of Barangay Talon-Talon Zamboanga City;
(2) Rey Butron Ybanez, 31 years old, male, married and a resident of Imelda, ZSP; and
(3) Jason A. Sagrado declared as dead on the spot by the duty Romiele Edombingo, RN of Tungawan Municipal Health center.

The driver of V2 Identified as Alan Cajocon Tulabing and three of their passenger identified as follows:
(1) Fe Oral Lagumbay, 45 years old, female, married and a resident of Pagadian City,
(2) Nestor Castillo Gramatica, 29 years old, male, married and a resident of Zamboanga City and
(3) Michael Lacasdesantos Eleno were rushed to Tungawan Municipal Health Center for immediate medication.

Both vehicles involve were severely damage and now still in the said area waiting for towing. P01 Mohammad Nur Hadjail Alamia with CP No. 09355774345 is the investigator on case.

INCIDENT REPORT - May 29, 2018

Wanted Person Arrested in Sindangan
PNP personnel of Sindangan MPS arrested a wanted person at about 6:30 AM of May 29, 2018 at La Roche, Sindangan, Zamboanga Del Norte.

Arrested was Condrado Rosales y Larosa, 63 years old, married, farmer and a resident of La Roche, Sindangan.

This is by virtue of warrant of arrest charge for Violation of R.A. 9287 docketed under criminal case number S-5759 issued by Honorable Reymar L. Lacaya presiding Judge of RTC 9, Branch 11, Sindangan, dated May 25, 2018 with bail fix at ₱20,000.00.

Subject wanted person was arrested through intelligence driven operation in utilizing the services of an asset to assists in locating the subject who reportedly gone into hiding at Sindangan, after knowing that a warrant of arrest was issued against him.

Subject person was brought to Sindangan District Hospital for physical and medical examination. He was brought back to Sindangan MPS for arrest booking prior to turn over to the issuing court.

Subject: Report on Robbery Incident 
Reference: Report from Sindangan MPS dated May 28, 2018 with the same subject as above.
Please be informed that at about 7:00 AM May 28, 2018, one Matet Ansoc y Ontoc, 29 years old, Filipino, female, a resident of Barangay Tambanan, Naga Zamboanga Sibugay and a Secretary of Gold Digger Credit Services Corporation.

The said establishment owned by Ignacio B. Lluvido situated at Sitio Balik-Balik Goleo, Sindangan Zamboanga Del Norte came and reported to Sindangan MPS that  her office was allegedly entered by unidentified person(s) then carted the money amounting to more or less One Hundred Twenty Five Thousand Pesos (P125,000).

Acted on the said report PNP team led by PSI SERGIO R BIHAG together with the duty investigator and alert team members immediately proceeded to the area of incident to verify the veracity of the report on board with PNP patrol car (Mahindra).

Initial investigation conducted disclosed that while the reporter opened their office, she notices that the lock of the room where the steel vault was placed was destroyed and the steel vault has been gouge using unknown tool(s) and was forcibly opened by unidentified perpetrators then carted the cash amounting to more or less One Hundred Twenty-Five Thousand Pesos (P125,000.00)

Immediately, the duty investigator of Sindangan MPS contacted the SOCO Dipolog for crime processing, and at about 11:00AM of same date the SOCO team in the person of SPO2 Russel G Aming and SPO1 Janeth t Suminguit arrived.

Further investigation revealed that there were no traced of forced of entry seen from the outside of the house. Incident happened sometime on May 26 to 27, 2018.

PNP personnel of Sindangan MPS conducted follow-up operation in order to identify and locate the possible whereabouts of the suspects and tapped the neighboring police stations to possibly intercept the perpetrator.

 PNP Personnel of Sindangan MPS led by PSUPT JOSEPH R MAULAD arrested one (1) Rolly Catane Jr, 29 years old, married, male, and a resident of Mamalad, Calamba, Misamis Occidental.

He was arrested by virtue of WOA issued by Presiding Judge  Roy P. Murallon of RTC Branch 36, Calamba, Misamis Occidental dated March 9, 2017 for Violation of Section 5(b) and (i) of RA 9262 docketed under criminal case number 1473 with bail bond recommended fixed at Twenty Four Thousand Pesos (P24,000.00).

Subject wanted person was arrested through intelligence driven operation in utilizing the services of an asset to assists in locating the subject who reportedly gone into hiding at Sindangan, ZN after knowing that a warrant of arrest was issued against him.

The operation resulted in the arrest of Rolly Catane Jr., 29 years old, married, male, resident of Mamalad, Calamba, Misamis Occidental.

This is by virtue of Warrant of Arrest, issued by Presiding Judge Roy P Morallon of RTC Branch 36, Calamba, Missamis Occidental for Violation of 5 (B) and (i) of RA 9262 docketed under CC Nr 1473 with bail bond fixed at  Twenty Four Thousand Pesos (P24, 000.00).

Arrested accused is now temporary detained at Sindangan MPS for proper disposition.

Mauling Incident in Jose Dalman
May 24, 2018 at about 8:20 PM, personnel of Jose Dalman MPS responded on a reported incident wherein one  RICO RADA y RABALOS, 40 yo was allegedly mauled by PRISCO LAGORRA JR y SANTIAGO, 45 yo, at Sitio Tabang, Brgy. Poblacion, Jose Dalman, ZN.

Victim was brought to RHU-Jose Dalman for medical treatment while suspect temporarily detained at Jose Dalman MPS for filing of appropriate charges in court.

Fire Incident in Dapitan City
May 25, 2018, this office received report from Dapitan CPS that OOA 6:20am, a fire incident transpired at Brgy Dampalan, Dapitan City particularly at the Poultry Farm owned by a certain Alfredo Sy.

Cause of fire was electrical short circuit with an estimated cost of damaged more or less P50,000.00.

The BFP Dapitan declared fire out at about 6:45AM of same date no casualty/injured reported.

NEWS RELEASE - May 25, 2018

Shooting Incident in Sibuco
Shooting incident transpired at Sitio Komonokid, Brgy. Cusipan, Sibuco Zamboanga Del Norte at about 2:00 PM of May 24, 2018.

The victim was identified as Alvin B. Musad, male, 23 years old, Filipino, single, student a resident of Sitio Munatalaki, Brgy. Pangian, Sibuco, Zamboanga Del Norte.

He was shot and was hit at his right shoulder while riding his single motor vehicle together with his father identified as Boboy A. Musad, Male, 39 years old, farmer and a resident of said place.

The perpetrators were two unidentified persons armed with caliber. 45 pistol on board a single motorcycle.

They fled towards to Brgy. Pangian, Sibuco direction after the incident.

Elements of Sibuco Police Station together with 42nd IB Phil. Army Conducted Manhunt Operation against the suspect while the victim was rushed to Zamboanga Medical Hospital, Labuan Zamboanga City for immediate treatment but was pronounce dead while undergoing medication.

Investigator is PO3 Joebert Arsula with CP # 09355109904.


SUBJECT     :   Report on Neutralization of Wanted Person
Request be informed that at about 1:00 o’clock of May 23, 2018, one Arliz Saldariga Luib, 29 years old, single, resident of P/2 Lapu-Lapu, Piñan, Zamboanga del Norte, voluntarily surrendered at Ipil Municipal Police Station.

The subject person has standing Warrant of Arrest for the crime of Qualified Theft docketed under Criminal Case No. 1-6915, issued by Hon. Vicente S. Dela Plaza, Presiding Judge, RTC Br. 36, 9th Judicial Region, Ipil, Zamboanga Sibugay.

However, the above mentioned accused deposited/posted sufficient cash bond with Official Receipt No. 4125738 B dated May 23, 2018 issued by the Clerk of Court of the Regional Trial Court, Branch-36, 9th Judicial Region, Ipil, Zamboanga Sibugay for his temporary liberty in the above-entitled case.

Subject: Report on Drowning Incident
On or about 11:00 pm of May 21, 2018 Dipolog City command center called this office thru radio informing that there was drowning incident transpired at Purok Corales, Olingan, Dipolog City.

Immediately PO1 Rene R Gomez Compac Supervisor of Punta responded to verify the said report.

Initial investigation conducted by the responding police officer disclosed that at about 9:50pm of May 21, 2018, Reynald Elico y Bayaras 21 years old, male, single, resident of the said place and his friends saw the victim. The victim identified as Rodolfo Obligana y Grama alias roping 50 years old, male, married, resident of Tambobong, Olingan, Dipolog city walking and dancing along the sea shore of the said place.

Reynald and his friends did not mind what roping was doing because in there observation roping was under the influence of liquor, so they continued what they were doing, browsing there facebook accounts.

After a few minutes when they look back at roping they noticed that he was drowning near the Rhollen fishing boat which was docked in the area.

Immediately Reynald took roping out of the water and called for help Dipolog CDRRMC personnel arrived at the area then brought the victim to Corazon C. Aquino Hospital and was pronounced dead on arrival by the attending physician Dr Carl Marx Aquino MD.

The body of the victim was properly turned over to the immediate family for proper disposition.

Subject: Report on Vehicular Traffic Accident

Please be informed that at about 2:45 PM of May 21, 2018 a Motor Vehicle Traffic Accident (MVTA) transpired along National Highway of Sitio Batotiltil, Brgy Biayon, Sergio Osmeña Sr. ZN.

Investigation disclosed that at about 2:40 PM a Rural Transit travelling to Dipolog City with temporary plate number MV 0401-501172 with engine number J08CTK16766 and chassis number RK1JMT12427 driven by Collado S. Mostiolo Jr, 44 years old, married and a resident of brgy Dangi, Polanco, ZN was hit by the approaching Bongo vehicle.

Bongo vehicle with plate number 090108 and engine number JT355952 with chassis number KN3HAP53A2K812702 driven by Lorenzo Intong Jr y Gumonod, 58 years old, married, farmer, and a resident of Biayon, Sergio Osmeña sr. Zamboanga del Norte.

The driver overtook another vehicle and encroached to another lane that resulted to the incident Vehicles were temporarily impounded at Sergio Osmeña MPS for proper disposition..

Flash alarm to look, intercept and apprehend the possessor of one (1) unit black Honda Wave 100 motorcycle with plate number 1726-JC, owned and registered under the name of Alberto Lactuan Sales, 58 years old, widow and a resident of Brgy Banonong, Dapitan City.

Subject motorcycle was found missing at about 12:00 AM of May 22, 2018 while parked at Jinky Store, Brgy Talisay, Dapitan.

Please be informed that at about 4:00PM of May 22, 2018 PNP personnel of Liloy MPS composed of SPO4 Vincent Adoptante, PO2 Garren Philip Barote, and PO2 Dennes Alden Piala conducted manhunt operation at Brgy Baybay, Liloy, Zamboanga del Norte.

At about 5:00PM of same date, said operation gain positive result and successfully arrested one Juan Lastimoso Labiano, 49 years old, male, married, Filipino, and a resident of Imelda, Labason, ZN.

He was arrested by virtue of warrant of arrest issued by Presiding Judge Oscar D. Tomarong of RTC9 Branch 28, Liloy, ZN dated April 17, 2018 for Violation of RA 9287. The case was docketed under criminal case number L-003331 with bail bond recommended fixed at Twenty Thousand Pesos (P20,000.00).

The arrested wanted persons is now detained at Liloy MPS for proper disposition.

 Subject:  Arrest on Suspects on Robbery Incident
Reference: Report from Dipolog CPS dated May 22, 2018
Please be informed, that at about 11:55AM of May 22, 2018, one Jemma Torres y Salvador, 40 years old, married, a maintenance worker of Sicayab Elementary School Sicayab Dipolog City came and reported to Dipolog CPS and alleged that the Principal’s Office of said school was discovered robbed.

The Principal’s Office is administered by Mr. Moises Redillas Jr. y Baun, 47 years old, married, Principal II with postal address of Victoria Country Home, Obay Polanco Zamboanga del Norte, was discovered robbed at about 8:00AM of same date.

Immediately thereafter, Duty Investigator responded the said report.
Initial investigation conducted disclosed that the padlock of the entrance door of the Principal’s Office was forcibly destroyed and once the culprit was inside, took the computer monitor of the principal’s office, which was used to monitor the CCTV coverage within the office, then the culprit exited at the same door.

Upon thorough investigation by looking into the CCTV footage inside the principal’s room was compared to the CCTV footage owned by Barangay taken at the waiting shed located near the said school and Barangay hall. It was found out that the male person wearing a gray t-shirt with printed Nike sign on the front side was the same person who robbed the said room.

Further investigation revealed that the companions of the robber were waiting at the shed and one of them was identified as Jared Elnatal y Zamoras, 15 years old, minor, a resident of Purok Riverside Bucana Dapitan City.

Immediately follow up operation was conducted and at about 3:30PM of same date, the responding team rescued the above named minor and arrested the other culprits.

 identified as Leo Mar Avila y Mariano, 21 years old, single, John Eric Chua y Paira, 20 years old, single, and Reuben Martinez y Salazar, 26 years old, single, all were residents of Purok Riverside Bucana Sicayab Dipolog City.

Also, recovered during operation was one unit black and orange Rusi Motorcycle without plate number owned by Teburcio Omol, 60 years old of Purok Riverside Bucana Dapitan City. That said the culprits in committing the said offense used motorcycle.

The above-named suspects were brought to Dipolog City Police Station and the recovered motorcycle was deposited at the said police station for proper disposition.   

Subject:  Accomplishment Report on Confiscated IED (Dynamite)
Reference: Report from Labason MPS dated May 22, 2018
Please be informed that at about 4:45PM of May 22, 2018 one Emelie Buenca y Bation, BFAR personnel from Municipal Agriculture Office, LGU-Labason, ZN came and reported to Labason MPS.

He reported that Coastguard personnel led by PT Officer 2nd Class Roel Sagario y Sarita assigned at Command Post, Brgy Gil Sanchez, Labason, Zamboanga del Norte confiscated one (1) bottle IED suspected dynamite.

The said explosive was recovere at the fishing boat that is temporarily anchored at the shoreline of Brgy Gil Sanchez owned and manage by one Alfredo Rillon y Garingo, 40 yrs old, married, fisherman and resident of Brgy Baybay, Salug, Zamboanga del Norte.

Immediately, PNP Personnel of Labason MPS responded and upon arrival thereat, the Coastguard and BFAR personnel were already in the area.

Initial investigation conducted disclosed that at about 3:00PM of same date, coastguard conducted pre-departure inspection to the fishing boat marked ALPRES with plate number NM-DAP-0803317-000576 and confiscated one (1) bottle of suspected dynamite with complete components.

The owner Alfredo Rillon together with the confiscated improvised explosive were turn-over by the Coastguard and BFAR personnel to Labason MPS for proper disposition while the fishing boat is now at the custody of the coastguard.

Man Arrested for the Crime of Grave Oral Defamation in Roxas
On May 23, 2018 at about 2:00PM, PNP personnel of Roxas MPS conducted manhunt operation of wanted person at Brgy. Langatian, Roxas, Zamboanga Del Norte.

This resulted in the arrest of Liza Labrador Baidiango, 46 years old, married and a resident of Brgy. Gubat, Roxas, Zamboanga Del Norte.

This is by virtue of Warrant of Arrest issued by Hon. Veronica C. DG-Laput, Acting Presiding Judge, MTC of Roxas, Zambo Norte dated May 22, 2018 for the crime of Grave Oral Defamation (2 counts) docketed under Criminal Case Nr. 1909 and 1910 with recommended bail bond amounting to ₱6,000.00 for each case with a total ₱12,000.00 liberty.


The arrested subject person is under the custody of Roxas MPS for proper disposition.

Arson Suspect Arrested in Dipolog City
On May 21, 2018 at about 4:00 PM, Personnel of Dipolog City Police Station arrested the person identified as Stanley Daymiel Paez 62 years old, married, a resident of Purok Dela Paz, Brgy Sicayab, Dipolog City.

Subject was caught on the act by the responding Dipolog BFP and PNP personnel of Dipolog CPS burning his house situated at the aforesaid place that prompted the responding team to arrest the suspect and quickly extinguished the blazing fire.

During the arrest, the suspect vehemently resisted the arrest that resulted to injuries to the different parts of his body and was subsequently brought to Corazon Aquino Medical Hospital for medical treatment.

Arrested subject person is presently detained at Dipolog City Police Station pending filing of appropriate charges in court by the Dipolog City Bureau of Fire Protection and for proper disposition.  

Wanted Man Arrested in Liloy
The operating personnel of Liloy Municipal Police successfully arrested a 49-year old man during the conduct of manhunt operation at Barangay Baybay, Liloy, Zamboanga Del Norte at about 4:00PM of May 22, 2018.

Liloy MPS identified the arrested person as Juan Lastimoso Labiano, 49 years old, married and a resident of Imelda, Labason, Zamboanga Del Norte.

This is by virtue of warrant of arrest issued by Presiding Judge Oscar D. Tomarong of RTC9 Branch 28, Liloy, Zamboanga Del Norte dated April 17, 2018 for Violation of RA 9287 docketed under criminal case number L-003331 with bail bond recommended fixed at Twenty Thousand Pesos (P20, 000.00). He is now detained at Liloy MPS for proper disposition.

PRESS RELEASE on Incident Reports - May 21, 2018

Neutralization of Gun for Hire Personality in Sibutad
On May 20, 2018 at about 10:00 PM, Information received from the Zamboanga Del Norte Provincial Intelligence Branch, thru cellular phone that a certain person gun for hire is operating in first Congressional District of Zamboanga del Norte was monitored in Sipaloc, Sibutad, Zamboanga Del Norte.

At about 11:00 PM of the same date, personnel from Regional Mobile Force Battalion 9 (RMFB9), 1st Maneuver Company proceeded to the area purposely to verify the veracity of the said report.

Upon arrival at Barangay Sipaloc, Sibutad, Zamboanga Del Norte, another call was received from RMFB9 that the suspected gun for hire is riding a black/white Racal motorcycle without plate number attached, travelling towards Barangay Poblacion, Sibutad Zamboanga Del Norte.

Immediately, thereafter a checkpoint was set up by 901st MC, RMFB9 along the Provincial Road boundary of Barangay Delapa, and barangay Sipaloc, Sibutad, Zamboanga Del Norte.

At about 11:35 PM of the same date a black and white combination of Racal motorcycle without plate number attached arrived at the area where the checkpoint was being conducted.

When the personnel from RMFB9 was about to approach the driver of the said motorcycle, the driver tried to U-turn his driven motorcycle and pulled a gun from his waist and fired two (2) shots towards the police officer but was lucky enough because he manage to drop into the ground, that prompted the PNP personnel to returned fire to the subject person identified as Jerry Delmonte Palma, 45 years old, married, male, and a resident at Barangay New Lebangon, Polanco, Zamboanga del Norte.

The SOCO Team conducted crime scene operation and recovered (1) unit caliber .38 Pistol brand made Llama, four (4) live ammunitions of caliber .38 Pistol loaded in the magazine, one (1) live ammunition of caliber .38 pistol inside the chamber, five (5) fired cartridge cases and One (1) Unit Motorcycle Racal with engine no. RMC110ZCBUOOOOO848 and Chasses no. RMC110ZCBUOOOOO848.

Recovered from the possession of the suspect were, Ten (10) pieces five hundred peso bill with serial number (HD942474, DL771403, DP503957, DH547498, BS447833, DB091730, A295156, JK630508, CC848403, AND DG844698), one (1) unit Samsung cellular phone color blue with black combination, three (3) pieces  identification cards (CIDG confidential Agent ID,CIDG ID and Lambat Sibat Volunteer ID), one (1) wallet color brown, two (2) bottles of perfume and assorted documents.

Report on Death of Hotel Customer in Dipolog City
On May 21, 2018 at about 11:30 AM of May 21, 2018 at Sta. Filomena, Dipolog City particularly inside the room of Secret Fighter Lodge, the person of Edmund Buhisan y Cadayson alias “dodong”, 54 years old, male, single, a resident of Dicayas, Dipolog City allegedly having a heart attack.

The incident was discovered by his companion Nadia Ramirez y Banales 42 years old, female, married, a resident of barangay Galas, Dipolog City at around 11:00 A.M. of May 21, 2018.

The victim was immediately brought to Corazon C. Aquino Hospital for medical treatment by the responding 117 Medical Team but was pronounced Dead on Arrival (DOA) by his attending physician Dr. Johaina Diambrang.


The dead body was turned-over to his relative for proper disposition. The investigator on Case is PO2 Mark Ian H Salaveria with CP Number 0948-020-7420.

PRESS RELEASE - May 20, 2018

Hacking Incident in Roxas
On May 19, 2018 at about 4:15 PM, hacking incident at Brgy Langatian, Roxas, Zamboanga Del Norte, wherein victim identified as Ernesto Mamac Carreon, 28 y/o, single was hacked by his brother Gilbert Mamac Liquit, 36 years old, single, both residents of said place.

Investigation conducted disclosed that prior to the incident the victim and the suspect were having a drinking session that resulted to an intense argument due to misunderstanding, which prompted the suspect to get a bolo, and hacked the victim once hitting the head.

Victim was brought to ZANORTE Medical Center for medical treatment while the suspect was arrested by the responding PNP team and now detained at Roxas MPS for proper disposition.

PRESS RELEASE on INCIDENT REPORTS - May 19, 2018

Businessman Arrested for Drugs in Dapitan City
The Drug Enforcement Team of Polanco MPS together with the personnel of Provincial Intelligence Branch of Zamboanga Del Norte PPO conducted Joint buy-bust operation at Brgy San Pedro, Dapitan City at about 12:30 AM of May 19, 2018.

This resulted in the arrest of Raffy Iglesia Recososa, 35 years old, male, married, born on Oct 24, 1982 at Aurora Province, Luzon, Businessman (Carenderia Owner), Highschool Graduate Newly identified Pusher and a resident of Katipunan St., Miputak, Dipolog City.

Confiscated from his possession and control were:
one (1) pc rectangular shape transparent plastic sachet containing white crystalline granules believed to be shabu as buybust evidence,
two (2) pcs rectangular shape transparent plastic sachet containing white crystalline granules believed to be shabu,
one (1) pc Five Hundred Peso Bill with Serial Nr EE940598 as buybust money,
one (1) unit black Samsung Cellular phone (keypad operated) and 
one (1)        unit Orange Mio 125 Motorcycle with Plate No. Temp 13152.

Inventory and marking of evidences was witnessed by Hon. Roosevelt Mondinido-Brgy Councilor and Allan P. Ogoc-media representative.

Arrested suspect together with the confiscated items were brought to Polanco MPS for proper disposition.

Saint Carving Arrested in Drug Bust in Polanco
The Drug Enforcement Team of Polanco MPS together with the personnel of Provincial Intelligence Branch of Zamboanga Del Norte PPO conducted joint drug buy-bust operation along National Highway Brgy Obay, Polanco Zamboanga Del Norte at about 9:30 PM of May 18, 2018, particularly in front of JA Agrivet Store.

The operation resulted in the arrest of Daryl Caipang Dialogo, 26 years old, born on August 25, 1992, single, a saint carving by profession, a resident of Brgy Sta. Isabel Dipolog City, newly identified pusher.

Confiscated from the possession and control were:
five (5) heat sealed transparent plastic sachet, containing white crystalline granules believe to be shabu,
one (1) pc five hundred peso bill,
five (5) pcs. One hundred peso bills marked money;
one pc micro sim card,
two (2) pcs five peso coins and
one medicine box serve as container.

Inventory and marking was done and witnessed by Hon Cecilia Dalmacio, Brgy Captain and Mr Rosevelt Mondido a Media representative.

Arrested suspect is newly member of drug personality under Kevin Lim a drug group that proliferated illegal drug within the area of Zamboanga Del Norte particularly Dapitan and Dipolog City.

Confiscated drug buy-bust evidences were properly turned over to Crime Lab Office Minaog, Dipolog City while the suspect is now temporary detained Polanco MPS for proper disposition.

Hacking Incident in Godod
On May 19, 2018 at about 1:15 AM, a hacking incident transpired at Brgy Poblacion, Godod, Zamboanga Del Norte, wherein victim identified as Evelyn Mosa Danggod, 30 y/o and a resident of Brgy Bunawan, Gogod, was stabbed by Dodo Manayon Danggod, 35 y/o and a resident of Brgy Rambon, Godod.

Investigation conducted disclosed that the victim went to the house of the suspect because her husband Litol Jack Danggod was having drinking session.

While waiting her husband she was able to sleep and when she woke-up, her husband already left and went home. Immediately, the suspect offered and fetches her going home boarded with motorcycle, suddenly stopped his driven motorcycle and told the victim in local dialect to wit; "Parimidyuha Ko Be," that prompted the victim to answer in local dialect to wit; "Nabuang Ka Nga Paryente Man Mo Sa Akong Bana!".

Then and there, the suspect held the victim that prompted the latter to scuffle but the suspect hacked her using a bolo hitting the victim's head and left side of her waist.

The victim managed to run until she reached the nearby COMPAC, successfully helped by the duty AFP personnel, brought to Godod Rural Health Unit, and further reported the incident to Godod MPS.

Suspect fled the scene after the incident. Personnel of Godod MPS conducted follow-up operation for the possible arrested of the suspect.

PRESS RELEASE INCIDENT REPORTS - May 18, 2018

Landmine Explosion in Kalawit
On May 18, 2018 at about 10:00 AM, Elements of Charlie Company of 42nd Infantry Battalion, Phil Army with Six (6) Enlisted Personnel onboard KM450.

While approaching Palalian Bridge, Kalawit, Zamboanga Del Norte, they have seen Three (3) armed men laying landmine at the said bridge which prompted the troops to disembarked.

However, the armed men who immediately detonate the landmine and subsequently enemy fires noticed their presence was heard from the high ground beside the bridge.

The troops fired back and subsequently the enemies withdraw towards Brgy New Salvacion, Labason, Zamboanga Del Norte and Brgy Palalian, Kalawit, Zamboanga Del Norte.

Meanwhile, at about 10:30 AM of May 18, 2018, Elements of 42nd Infantry Battalion proceeded to the encounter site to scour the area for clearing.

They had recovered more or less 100 meters wire the following: three (3) pieces 9 volts battery and shrapnel used for bombing.

Further action taken of the troops was to pursuit the enemy. 

Afterwards at about 3:00 PM of same date, the five (5) Enlisted Personnel (who encounter the Land mine explosion) on board KM450 returned to their based Charlie Company at Brgy Poblacion, Kalawit, Zamboanga Del Norte.

Two (2) of its personnel were wounded while one R4 riffle and KM450 tire was slightly damage.

Hot pursuit operation still being conducted by the said operating troops against the fleeing enemy.

Shooting Incident in Sindangan
On May 17, 2018 at about 11:00 PM, a shooting incident occurred at Barangay Nipaan, Sindangan, Zamboanga Del Norte, wherein victim identified as Julito Gumanad Paculba, 36 years old, male, single, a resident of said place.

He was shot to death by a gun man identified as Marlon Pacas Caballero, 35 years old, male, single a resident of the same barangay together with two (2) other unidentified persons who are conspiring each other to kill her live-in partner.

Acting on the said report, PNP personnel of Sindangan MPS responded the incident.

Initial investigation disclosed that while the victim was in their hut a distance away from their house, thereat at around 9:00PM of same date, his live-in partner (Liza Sumangkad) was trying to go after him, but suddenly upon reaching a few meters away from their hut she heard a gunshot that prompted her to hide into a coconut tree.

Subsequently, there was another shot for a second time. Right after the shot, the suspect Marlon Caballero turn on his flashlight attached on his head and made a shot for a third time that hit the victim and fell down into the ground.

Thereat, Liza Sumangkad immediately ran away and hides herself in to a grassy area for she was chased by the suspects but luckily she was not catch by them.

When the suspects left the area, she went to the house of the parents of her live-in partner and both of them went to the police station to report the incident.

Further, the suspect Marlon Caballero was successfully arrested by the responding team and the other (2) unidentified person remained at large.

The motive of the incident is due to personal grudge. Personnel of Sindangan MPS are still conducting manhunt operation to locate and identify the other unidentified suspects in coordination with the neighboring police station and friendly forces. 2 Arrested in Illegal Cockfighting in Dapitan City  
On May 18, 2018 at about 3:30 PM, an alleged illegal cockfighting activity transpired at Brgy. Hilltop, Dapitan City.

The Dapitan City Police immediately launched a police operation which resulted to the arrest of the suspect identified as Tito Bayron Gahuman, 52 years old and Isabelito Bagatua Largo, 49 years old, male, married, Filipino and residents of Brgy. Hilltop, Dapitan City.

They were arrested after they were caught in the act betting on the said illegal cockfighting game.

Other bettors able to run and scampered towards unknown directions.

Subject persons were arrested and confiscated from their possession were two (2) red game fowls, one (1) dead game fowl, one (1) piece gaff and four hundred (Php400.00) pesos cash as bet money.

Arrested suspects were brought to Dapitan City Police Station for further investigation and pending filing of appropriate charges in court.
