Farmer Busted in Anti-Illegal Drugs Ops
KATIPUNAN, Zamboanga del Norte (March 31, 2019) – Drugs Enforcement Unit of Katipunan Municipal Police Station and Zamboanga del Norte PPO, Regional Drugs Enforcement Unit 9 in coordination with PDEA Zamboanga del Norte conducted Drug Buy-Bust Operation at Purok Mangga, Brgy Seres, Katipunan, Zamboanga del Norte at about 7:00 PM of March 30, 2019.
The operation was resulted to the arrest of Peter Penaso Maligro, a drug surrenderer, 40 years old, male, single, High School graduate, farmer, a resident of said place.
Recovered from the possession and control: 4 Heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing white crystalline granules believed to be shabu with an estimated market value amounting to Fity five thousand pesos (55,000.000), 2 Two pcs. Two hundred peso bill as buy-bust money.
Arrested person temporarily detained at Katipunan MPS for filing of appropriate charges in court while the confiscated illegal drug was turned over to Crime Laboratory.
1 person killed in Shooting Incident
GUTALAC, Zamboanga del Norte (Marchh 31, 2019)- One person was killed in Shooting incident transpired at Brgy Malian, Gutalac, Zamboanga del Norte at about 3:40 AM of March 30, 2019 particularly inside the Disco in celebration of the 30th Araw ng of said Barangay.
Initial investigation conducted disclosed that the victim identified as Tuga Sumilang Lamsa, 35 yrs. old and a resident of Brgy Bagong Silang, Gutalac, Zamboanga del Norte.
The victim was attending the disco, an unidentified suspect arrived and without any words shot the victim with the used of unknown firearms hitting his head that caused is instantaneous death.
The victim was brought at Labason Emergency Hospital by the Gutalac MDRRMC for post mortem examination while personnel of Gutalac MPS are still conducting follow-up operation for the identity and possible arrest of the suspect.
