March 31, 2019 - April 3, 2019 Reported Incident in Zamboanga del Norte

Vehicular Incident
SIBUCO, Zamboanga del Norte (April 1, 2019) - Vehicular incident transpired in National Road, Brgy. Lingayon, Sibuco, Zamboanga del Norte at about 9:30 PM of March 31, 2019.

 The accident was involving one Isuzu forward cargo with template number 090106.engine no. 6HE 1-860180 and chassis no. FRR32K1-3002592, a private truck owned and manage by certain Jassem Bakil Lilang and driven by Amante Jimenez Maglangit 46 years old, male , married , Filipino and a resident of Cawit Zamboanga City lost its brake and bump into the road barrier that causes to stumble down together with its passenger worked at Mega Fishing Inc. Zamboanga City.

Passenger was brought to Labuan Public Hospital for medication while the driver of said truck is now under the custody of Sibuco Municipal Police Station filling of appropriate charges in court.

Hacking Incident
LEON B. POSTIGO, Zamboanga del Norte (April 3, 2019) - Hacking incident transpired at Brgy Manil, Leon B. Postigo, Zamboanga Del Norte at about 8:30 PM of April 1, 2019.

Police Brigadier General Emmanuel Luis D Licup, PRO9 Regional Director identified the victim as Benjie I. Bedonia, 33 years old and the suspect as his father identified as Cesar O. Bedonia, 62 years old, both residents of above-mentioned place.

Investigation conducted disclosed that prior to the incident; the suspect and the victim were believed to be under the influence of intoxicating liquor confronted with each other regarding their previous grudge that resulted into a heated argument.

In the course of their argument the suspect threw a wooden mini table to the victim and not contended, he subsequently hacked the victim hitting on the head.

Victim sustained lone hacked wound and was immediately brought to Sindangan District Hospital for medical treatment.

The suspect was arrested by the responding team and now being detained at Leon B Postigo MPS for proper disposition.

Shooting Incident
LILOY, Zamboanga del Norte (April 3, 2019) - Shooting incident transpired at Barangay Baybay, Liloy, Zamboanga del Norte around 6:58 in the evening of April 2, 2019.

Police Brigadier General Emmanuel Luis D Licup, PRO9 Regional Director identified the victims as Danny Jone Acosta Relativo, male, 25 years old, married, Filipino, habal-habal driver, a resident at barangay Candelaria, Liloy, Zamboanga del Norte, who sustained gunshot wound on his left thigh and Tidilito Transmonte del Rosario, male, 21 years old, married, truck driver, resident of Barangay Baybay, Liloy, Zamboanga del Norte, formerly residing at Sitio Mucas, barangay Kayok, Liloy, Zamboanga del Norte, who sustained gunshot wound on his left hand.

Initial Investigation conducted disclosed that victim Danny Jone had met a heated argument with other habal-habal driver at Salug Bus Terminal, Salug, Zamboanga del Norte.

Then he delivers a passenger in barangay Fatima, Liloy, Zamboanga del Norte from Salug terminal.

However, while he was travelling going home to barangay Candelaria, Liloy, he saw his companion identified as Tidilito Transmonte del Rosario beside the road near Montaño sand and gravel located at barangay Baybay, Liloy, having a drinking session with their friends.

Then he disembarked to his driven single motorcycle and join with the group.

A few minutes later, suddenly they heard a gun fired twice towards them coming from the unidentified suspects using a caliber .45 pistol onboard single motorcycle XRM (Plate number and color of MC cannot be identified by the victims and witnesses of the incident) and immediately fled towards the direction of Barangay Comunal, Liloy.

Recovered from the crime scene was one (1) pc fired cartridge case of caliber .45 pistols and one (1) piece slug.

Police Brigadier General Emmanuel Luis D Licup, PRO9 Regional Director has ordered the PNP personnel of Liloy MPS to launch follow-up operation and hot pursuit operation against the suspects.

Arrest of Top 10 Most Wanted Person
DAPITAN CITY, Zamboanga del Norte (April 3, 2019) – Combined police operatives of Rizal Municipal Police Station led by Police Lieutenant Jonnel Diamante Velasco, Chief of Police together with PNP team of Dapitan City Police Station conducted joint Manhunt Operation thru intel driven operation with the aid of informant at Brgy Bagting, Dapitan City at about 9:15 AM of April 3, 2019.

The operation was resulted to the arrest of one Abraham Gonzaga Alota, 48 years old, married, businessman, resident of Brgy Bagting, Dapitan City.

The accused was arrested by virtue of Warrant of Arrest issued by Judge of RTC Branch 8, 9th Judicial Region, Dipolog City dated December 18, 2008 for the crime of Theft docketed in Criminal Case No. 15253 with bail bond recommended amounting to twenty thousand pesos (Php 20,000.00.).

Arrested person was brought to Rizal MPS for proper disposition.

Polanco Municipal Police Station Top 7 Most Wanted, Captured
POLANCO, Zamboanga del Norte (April 3, 2019) – The Polanco Municipal Police Station Top 7 most wanted was arrested by combined operatives of La Libertad Municipal Police Station led by Police Major Abubakar A Ibno and Polanco MPS during police operation conducted at Barangay Lingasad, Polanco, Zamboanga del Norte at about 9:10 PM of April 2, 2019.  

Police Brigadier General Emmanuel Luis D Licup, PRO9 Regional Director identified the suspect as JongJong Tombo Limatoc, listed top 7 Most Wanted Person of Municipal Level of La Libertad MPS, 31 years old, single, a resident of Barangay Mercedes, La Libertad, Zamboanga del Norte.

The suspect was arrested by virtue of 2nd alias WOA docketed under Criminal Case No. 14625 for the crime of Robbery (Viol. of Art. 294 (s)) issued by Presiding Judge RTC, 9th Judicial Region, Dipolog City, Branch 6 dated September 10, 2012 with recommended bail bond for his temporary liberty is hereby fixed at One Hundred Thousand Pesos (P100,000.00).

Arrested wanted person was informed of his constitutional rights and thereafter detained at La Libertad MPS for proper disposition prior turn-over to the wanting court. Meanwhile, the PRO9 Regional Director commended the operating units for a job well done.
