January 4-8, 2019 –Reported Incidents from Zamboanga del Norte


Motor Vehicle Traffic Accident
LILOY, Zamboanga del Norte (Jan. 5, 2019) - Motor Vehicle Traffic Accident transpired along national highway in Barangay Baybay, Liloy, Zamboanga Del Norte at around 11:10 AM of January 4, 2019.

The accident was involving two vehicles:
Vehicle 1-Honda XRM without cover and no Plate number owned by Nelson Camion, businessman owner of Camion Glass Enterprises, a resident at brgy Fatima, Liloy, and driven by Edison Absin Disoy, 37 years old, married, employee of Camion Glass Enterprises, Liloy, and resident of Brgy Malila T. Tampilisan.
Vehicle 2-white Toyota Hi-Ace Van owned by Rural Bank of Rizal and driven by Jake Canter Baguio Villarino, 34 years old, widow, driver and a resident of Brgy Turno, Dipolog City.

Initial investigation disclosed that veh-1 was travelling from Brgy Fatima, Liloy going to Brgy Baybay, Liloy, while veh-2 was travelling along National Highway in Brgy Baybay, Liloy and upon reaching at the place of accident, veh-2 turned left direction going to Liloy municipal building without knowing the incoming veh-1 resulting to the collision of said vehicles.

As a result driver of vehicle-1 suffered injuries and immediately brought to Liloy Integrated District Hospital for medical treatment while veh-2 incurred slight damaged particularly on the right headlight of said vehicle.

Both vehicles involved are now under the custody of Liloy MPS for proper disposition.

Escape of Detainee
MANUKAN, Zamboanga Del Norte (Jan. 8, 2019) - On January 7, 2019 at about 10:00 AM, one inmate of Zamboanga Del Norte Reformatory Center escaped from the jail facility by climbing the concrete fence at the back of the facility.

Police Chief Superintendent Emmanuel Luis D Licup, PRO9 Regional Director identified the escape prisoner as Roger M. Gumial, 32 years old, single, resident of Sitog, Katipunan, Zamboanga Del Norte.

He was charge for the crime of Murder docketed under Criminal Case number 20606, 5’2” in height, 56 kilograms, brown complexion, medium built, scars at his upper right eyebrow, left eye bag, moles at his upper left chin, left lower lip, and right upper lip.

Neighboring municipalities were already informed. Personnel of Zamboanga Del Norte Reformatory Center together with Manukan Police Station are now conducted hot pursuit operation & checkpoint operation for the possible arrest of escapee.

12 houses were razed by Structural Fire Incident
DIPOLOG CITY, Zamboanga Del Norte (Jan. 8, 2019) – 12 houses were razed by Fire incident transpired in Sto. Niño, Tambak, Minaog, Dipolog City at about 4:00 PM of January 7, 2019. 

Acted on the report, Personnel of Dipolog City Police Station proceeded to the reported place and assisted in securing the fire scene from looters and in any lawless activities while CDRRMO Dipolog and Bureu of Fire Protection Dipolog conducted fire suppression operation.

Few moments later, fire trucks from Aviation Dipolog and nearby city and municipality came to assist the incident. Meanwhile, at around 5:00 PM of January 7, 2019, “Fire Out” declared by BFP Dipolog Officer FCI Elias L Baguio lll - Officer In-Charge.

Inventory shows that a total of twelve (12) houses were razed by fire with an estimated cost of damage more or less of Three Hundred Fifty Thousand Pesos (P350,000.00).

No injured individuals reported during and after the fire. Cause of fire is still under investigation of BFP Dipolog.
