Shooting Incident
SERGIO OSMEÑA - Shooting incident transpired at Barangay
Pedagan Sergio Osmeña, Zamboanga Del Norte at around 3:00 PM of February 2,
2017. The victim was identified as Armando Managit Alay, 31 years old, male,
married, farmer and a resident of Pedagan, Mahayag, Zamboanga Del Sur.
Accordingly he was walking from Sitio Sto. Rosario, Barangay Dampalan, Sergio
Osmeña, Zamboanga Del Norte going towards his house at Pedagan, Mahayag,
Zamboanga Del Sur and upon reaching at the Barangay Road of Barangay Pedagan,
he was shot by unidentified suspect by the use of caliber 45 pistol based on
one (1) empty shell recovered at the crime scene. Victim was hit on his right
foot and was brought to Mahayag Municipal Hospital, Mahayag, Zamboanga Del Sur
for medication. The Sergio Osmena MPS now conducted follow up investigation to
determine the motive of the incident and arrest of the suspect.

Rape Suspect Nabbed
DAPITAN CITY - Personnel of Dapitan CPS led by Spo4
Jose Renault Tan together with ZN-CIDG led by Pci Samson B Pascual conducted
manhunt operation at Barangay Talisay, Dapitan City, Zamboanga Del Norte at about 4:00 PM of February
2, 2017. The operation resulted to the arrest of Mark Glenn Hibaya Caylan, 20
years old, male, single and a resident of Barangay Talisay, Dapitan City,
Zamboanga Del Norte. He has standing warrant of arrest issued by Acting
Presiding Judge Ric S. Bastasa of RTC, 9th Judicial Region, Branch 8, Dipolog
City Dated January 30, 2017. For the crime of Rape Docketed under cc nr 21411
without bail bond recommended. Subject person is presently detained at Dapitan
CPS for proper disposition.
