Hacking incident transpired at Purok
Nangka, Brgy. Ba-Ao, Dapitan City at
about 8:20 PM of April 15, 2018. Victim was identified as Gellermo De Jesus
Aljas, 36 years old, male, single and a resident of Purok Nangka, Brgy. Ba-Ao,
Dapitan City. The suspect was identified as Jimmy Tuyac Obnimaga, 25 years old,
male, single and a resident of Brgy. Oyan, Sibutad, Zamboanga Del Norte.
Initial investigation conducted disclosed that at around 5:00 PM of April 15,
2018, suspect together with the victim and their friend Leo Felicia had a
drinking spree of coconut juice at the store of peter largo. Wherein at around
6:00 pm of same date, they finish their drinking spree and they fetch their
friend Leo Felicia to his home. Upon their arrival to the house of Leo Felicia,
the victim and the suspect went inside the house and had a conversation. Later
on, the suspect came out from the house. Thereat when the victim went outside
the house and about to leave, the suspect suddenly hacked the victim several
times with the use of a bolo hitting on the different parts of his body that
cause his instantaneous death. Further investigation revealed that the victim
was able to run, but he was pursued by the suspect and at more or less 30
meters away after which suspect immediately fled away to unknown direction. One
(1) pc of bolo with blood stain measuring 17 inches including the handle was
recovered from the crime scene by the responding PNP personnel. One (1) unit of
cal. 38 revolver bearing serial number 273167 was also recovered inserted from
the waistline of the victim. a hot pursuit operation was conducted by the PNP personnel
of Dapitan CPS together with the personnel of Sibutad MPS that resulted to the
arrest the suspect. Deeper investigation revealed that the suspect had a
long-time personal grudge. The arrested suspect was temporarily detained at Dapitan
CPS for proper disposition.

PNP personnel of Leon B. Postigo
MPS conducted manhunt operation at San Isidro, Sta. Maria, Leon Postigo,
Zamboanga Del Norte at about 6:30 AM of April 16, 2018. This resulted in the
arrest of Dondel A. Tao aka Dondon Tao, Top 4 Most Wanted person municipal
level, 39 yrs old, male, married. Lolito Tao aka Loloy, Top 3 most wanted
municipal level 36 yrs old, male, married, Gernesto Tacloban aka Toto Tacloban,
Top 7 most wanted municipal level, 47 yrs. old, male, married and Bert A. Tao,
Top 8 most wanted municipal level, 40 yrs. old, male, married, both farmers,
residents of San Isidro, Sta. Maria Leon B. Postigo. The subject most wanted
persons were arrested at the above-mentioned place by virtue of warrant of
arrest issued by the Presiding Judge, Hon. Reymar L. Lacaya, RTC, Branch 11,
Sindangan, Zamboanga Del Norte dated august 17, 2017 for the crime of attempted
murder with criminal case number s-5635 with bail recommended amounting to Php
120,000.00 each. Said most wanted persons were now under the temporary custody
of Leon B. Postigo MPS for proper disposition.
Rape Incident and Arrest of Suspect
in Polanco
A rape incident transpired at Purok
Santol, Brgy Silawe, Polanco Zamboanga Del Norte at about 8:05 AM of April 14,
2018. The victim was a 19 years old, single, and a resident of Purok Santol,
Brgy Silawe, Polanco Zamboanga Del Norte. Accordingly, on or about 8:00 AM of
April 14, 2018, her neighbor identified as Junrey Giñoso Turtal, 32 years old,
married and a resident of same barangay sexually molested the victim. The
responding personnel of Polanco MPS together with the victim and her mother
proceeded to Brgy Sialwe, Polanco Zamboanga Del Norte wherein at about 11:30 AM
of same date, upon reaching at the place of incident, the victim identified and
pointed out the suspect. Immediately, the responding personnel of Polanco MPS
arrested the suspect at Purok Manga, Barangay Silawe, Polanco, Zamboanga Del
Norte. The suspect was arrested, brought, and temporarily detained at Polanco
MPS detention cell for filing of appropriate charges in court against.
