Hacking
Incident in Katipunan
On April
07, 2018 at about 8:50 PM, hacking incident at Brgy San Antonio, Katipunan Zamboanga
Del Norte wherein the victim identified as Ruel Neri Elcamel, 31 y/o, single;
and the suspect identified Manuel Grapi Somoza, 5/3 yo, married, both residents
of Brgy San Antonio, Katipunan ZDN. Investigation conducted disclosed that
prior to said incident, the victim and the suspect had a drinking spree at the
waiting shed near the house of the suspect which resulted to a heated argument
due to misunderstanding. Then and there, the suspect drew his bolo and without
any words hacked the victim hitting at the shoulder blade. Victim sustained
lone hacked wound was brought to ZANORTE Medical Center, Dipolog City for medical
treatment while the suspect was arrested and confiscated one (1) 18 inches bolo
including the handle. The arrested subject person is presently detained at
Katipunan MPS for proper disposition.
Fire
Incident in Kalawit
On April
07, 2018 at about 11:00AM,. Kalawit MPS received a report that the bunkhouse of
palm oil plantation situated at Sitio Lubi, Brgy Palalian, Kalawit ZDN was
razed by fire. Immediately, personnel of Kalawit MPS proceeded to the area to
verify the veracity of said report. Initial investigation disclosed that at
around 9:30 AM of same date, accordingly while the caretaker Antonio Sumili
Cuebas, 40 yo, was in his residence for about 400 meters away from the said
bunk house, he was only informed by his assistant caretaker Joey Nano that the
said bunkhouse was on fire. They immediately proceeded to the area, but the
bunk house was already razed by fire. The said bunk house is made of Light
materials and located at the top of the hill which was surrounded by palm oil.
Estimated damage is two hundred thousand pesos (php 200,000.00) including the
cylinder Machine and one (1) sack of fertilizer which was inside the bunk
house. Personnel of Kalawit MPS are still conducting in depth investigation to
determine the possible cause of the incident considering that there’s no
witness and other house/s in the area.
