Incident in Gutalac
On April 9, 2018 at about 11:34 AM,
the person of Franklin Dela Torre Maghanoy, 38 years old, married and a
resident of Brgy San Isidro, Gutalac, Zamboanga del Norte, casual employee of
LGU Gutalac and assigned at the office of MDRRMC was drowned at the beach of
Brgy Loay, Gutalac, Zamboanga Del Norte. Accordingly, while the MDRRMC
personnel were having their bonding time at the said beach, Franklin Maghanoy
went on swimming along with his other companion’s suddendly he was drag by the
current of the wave then he doesn’t know how to swim and later drowned.
Immediately he was being rescued and brought to Labason Emergency Hospital but
declared dead on arrival by the attending physician Dr. Rosalind A. Go. The
Doctor said that may be he was under attacked with highblood pressure while on
swimming. Victim now lay at state at their residence in Brgy San Isidro,
Gutalac, Zamboanga Del Norte.

successfully arrested Pastor Samson 63 years old, farmer, married, Ranel
“Oniol” Dalangon 34 years old, farmer, married, Arturo Bagaslo 43 years old,
farmer, married and Jesler Samson 28 yo, farmer married all resident of the
above mentioned place by virtue of warrant of arrest issued by Hon. Nimfa B. Carreon-Padao, Presiding Judge
MCTC/MTC, Sindangan, ZN for GRAVE THREATS docketed in criminal case number
12925 with the bail bond amounting to Php 12,000.00 pesos each. For

Be
informed that through the continuous campaign on Oplan Kontra/Bilang Boga in the
municipality of Gutalac ZN at about 3:30 o’clock in the afternoon of April 9,
2018 one Gil Saldon Maylon, married, 54
years old, farmer and a resident of Brgy. Map, Gutalac, Zamboanga del Norte
came to Gutalac MPS and voluntarily
surrendered one (1) unit home made shotgun without ammunition. Said firearm now
deposited at the supply room of Gutalac MPS for proper disposition. For

SUBJECT: Report on Stabbing Incident and Arrest of
Suspect
Be
informed that at about 9:00 PM of April 9, 2018, PO3 Noel Divinagracia, member
of Sindanan MPS received a cellphone call from SPO1 Cesar Meraveles, member of
Jose Dalman MPS, Zamboanga del Norte. He reported that there was a stabbing
incident transpired in Barangay Nipaan, Sindangan, Zamboanga del Norte,
accordingly the victim was already dead, while the suspect was already in their
custody after his wife Barangay Captain Estella R. Meraveles together with
Barangay Councilor Julito S. Isaw and Tanod Gregorio Sumalinog successfully
arrested the suspect. Acting on the said report, personnel of Sindangan MPS
composed of SPO2 Julito Asentista, PO2 Ronie Abrasaldo, PO2 Noli Jay Brigole,
PO2 Ramil S. Tequil and PO1 Adrian Triambulo responded together with the Rural
Health Unit Representative MR. Bernardo Nayre on board PNP Patrol vehicle.
Investigation conducted by Sindangan MPS
disclosed that, the victim identified as FRANCIS OTTO y GOMEZ, 28 years
old, male, Filipino, single, farmer and a resident of Purok Kasoy, Nipaan,
Sindangan, Zamboanga del Norte while the suspect identified as MANUEL AZUCENAS
y GEROMO, 36 years old, male, Filipino, single, farmer and a resident of
Lugdungan, Dipolog City. Accordingly,
prior to the incident the victim (FRANCIS OTTO) together with the suspect
(MANUEL AZUCENAS) and one (1) Concordio Zosobrado were having a drinking spree
at the house of ROWENA SUMALINOG y OTTO, the sister of the victim. At about
6:30 PM of same date, while they were still on the process drinking coconut wine
locally known as “TUBA” the victim and the suspect were arguing and eventually
the suspect was able got a piece of still bar (kabilya) and directly stabbed to
the victim hitting the latter’s chest causing his untimely death. Right after
the incident, the suspect hurriedly left at the place of incident. However, at
about 8:50 PM of same date, Barangay Captain Estella R. Meraveles together with
Barangay Councilor Julito S. Isaw and Tanod Gregorio Sumalinog successfully
arrested the suspect at the house of TOTO MANUBAG in Barangay Siare, Sindangan,
Zamboanga del Norte and thereafter, the suspect was immediately turned-over to
the above-mentioned responding police officers. Suspect now detained at
