Drowning Incident
GUTALAC
- Alleged drowning incident transpired along Carloto Beach Resort Situated at
Sitio Liasan, Canuto Enerio, Gutalac, Zamboanga Del Norte at about 12:35 PM of
January 7, 2018 involving three (3) persons while having their family beach
party. Initial investigation disclosed that the family were having a beach
party and the kids were on swimming and two of them went quietly to the deep
area that they could no longer managed to swim. The older brother identified as
one Jeffrey Ebio Montuyao, 15 years old, single, grade 10 student of Gutalac
National High School and a resident of Brgy. Sas, Gutalac, Zamboanga Del Norte tried
to help his brother and cousin but later, he was also drowned. The three (3)
victims were rescued by the concerned citizens in the area and two of it was
safe while Jeffrey Montoya was brought by the family at Labason Emergency
Hospital but declared dead on arrival by Dr. Saibzur N. Edding, MD, Medical
Officer. The cadaver was brought at his grandparents’ house located at Brgy.
