Robbery Incident
KATIPUNAN - Robbery
incident occurred at the bagsakan store situated under the Katipunan Municipal
Gymnasium, Poblacion, Barangay Dos, Katipunan, Zamboanga Del Norte was forcibly
broken into and entered by a group of minors. Investigation conducted disclosed
that said group of minors perpetrated the crime during the power interruption
at around 8:00 PM of January 20, 2018 and gained entrance into the
abovementioned store by destroying the plywood wall at the right side of the
entrance door. While inside said minors opened and ate some goods, left several
items scattered on the floor and vandalized the establishment. Said minors left
the establishment through same opening. a witness revealed that he saw four (4)
minors leaving in haste the said establishment proceeding to the direction of
Barangay Dos, Katipunan. When the power
generator of the municipal building complex was turned-on and had provided
electric power to the perimeter lights around the municipal complex including
the municipal gymnasium. The damages were estimated to reach the total amount
of Three Thousand Two Hundred (Php3, 200.00) pesos including the cash money
worth two hundred fifteen (Php215.00) pesos which was taken by the
perpetrators. Operatives of Katipunan MPS conducted follow-up investigation for
possible arrest of the suspect.
LEON B. POSTIGO – On
or about 3:20 AM of January 21, 2018, a pump boat was reported to be illegally
fishing at the Municipal Water Of Leon B. Postigo, Zamboanga Del Norte
particularly at the protected Municipal Fish Sanctuary. Acted to the said
report, PNP personnel of Leon B. Postigo MPS and Municipal Fisheries, Ricardo
Mahinay, Municipal Fish Warden proceeded to the said place to verify the
veracity of the report. upon arrival of the said place, the team saw a green pump
boat with a marking “anabel” bearing trawl used to catch krill, owed by Danilo
Sabanate 48 years old, male, married, fisherman and a resident of Barangay
Upper Inuman, Sindangan and was operated by Jomar Calunsag Acat, 18 years old,
male, single, boat captain, and his brother Jeffrey Calunsag Acat, 17, single,
both residents of Upper Inuman, Sindangan. The team inspected the said boat and
asked the boat captain for their fishing permit, which he failed to present
legal documents that further, prompted the team to apprehend them and
confiscated the fishing paraphernalia. Estimated catch from illegal fishing was
P1, 200.00. The municipal fish warden issued three citations for violations;
unauthorized fishing, fish sanctuary/mpa violation, encroachment within
municipal water and fine mesh-net. Likewise, fish warden issued inventory
receipt of confiscated items. Both fishermen were brought to Leon B. Postigo
MPS for documentation and proper disposition of the case, subsequently minor
suspect was turned-over to WCPS. The confiscated fishing gear was brought under
the custody of the fish warden and Bantay Dagat.
JOSE DALMAN - Vehicular
traffic accident transpired along National Highway Of Sitio Mailig, Brgy
Poblacion, Jose Dalman, Zamboanga Del Norte at about 6:11 PM of January 21,
2018, wherein black baja Kawasaki motorcycle, with plate no. 090105, driven by
Rene Saumbon Saldon, 34 years old, married and a resident of Mangilong,
Sibutad, was accidentally bumped a pedestrian identified as Guardalupe
Purgatorio Antecristo, 63 years old, married and a resident of Mailig,
Poblacion, Jose Dalman. Investigation conducted disclosed that the said mc was
traversing going to Manukan, and upon reaching to the place of incident,
accidentally bumped a pedestrian sustained injuries in the different parts of
his body and brought by the concerned citizen to Jose Dalman Rural Health Unit
for immediate treatment, and was forwarded to Zanorte Hospital, Dipolog City.
The driver sustained a slight injury and was brought to Jose Dalman Rural
Health Unit for immediate treatment, which after, brought to Jose Dalman MPS as
well as his driven motorcycle proper disposition.
