Shooting Incident
DIPOLOG CITY - An
ex-bus conductor of Rural Bus Transit was shot by two unidentified suspects at
the C-Park KTV Bar, Sta. Isabel, Dipolog City at about 11:30 PM of November 2,
2016. The victim was identified as Ariel
Alagon y Daymiel, 39 years old, married, resident of Roxas, Zamboanga Del
Norte, former bus conductor of Rural Transit. Investigation conducted revealed
that prior to the incident, the victim together with Eve Marielle, arrived at
the above mentioned establishment to visit the owner an while the victim was
standing outside the door of the said KTV Bar, two (2) unidentified male
suspects, one was 5’5”-5’6” in height, aging 40-45 years old, wearing yellow
bull cap with face mask, black jacket and long pants and the other suspect was
5’3”-5’4” in height, wearing black bull cap and black t-shirt, went inside the
said establishment, pretended as customers and ordered two (2) bottles of
regular San Miguel Beer. Few minutes later, perpetrators went outside the said
establishment, then the first suspect approached the victim and without any
words shot the latter once directing to his head using unknown caliber of
handgun believed to be a revolver and slightly hit on his left ear. Therein,
the victim fell down to the edge of the cemented drainage canal while the two
(2) suspects fled away riding unknown vehicle. After the incident the victim was brought to
Zamboanga del Norte Medical Center, Dipolog City for medical treatment. No
fired cartridge case and even fired bullet found at the crime scene. PNP
personnel of Dipolog CPS are continuously conducting investigation to determine
the motive of the incident and to identify the perpetrators. Investigator on

Dead Body Found
PIÑAN - A human dead
body identified to be as one Jonathan Osal, 31 years old, married, a resident
of Barangay Tinaytayan, Piñan, Zamboanga del Norte was found at the latter’s
residence at around 10:30 o’clock in the morning of November 3, 2016 by his
mother in-law Esterlita Antiquina, 51 years old. Investigation conducted by the
responding PNP members of this revealed that on November 2, 2016 at around 6:00
o’clock in the evening, the night before the discovery of the said dead body,
Jonathan Osal was with the company of his brother and cousin in a drinking
spree at their neighbor’s house and at 7:00 o’clock in the evening of same date
he left and went home to rest by himself. In order to determine whether there
are circumstances or facts that would deemed his death to be malicious,
responding police officers conducted an extensive investigation. Nevertheless
investigation arrived to the following observations; there was no sign of
forcible entry, no sign of any struggle or resistance and there was no sign
that the body sustained bodily injuries. Further, relatives and neighbors
declared that Jonathan Osal is a good man and had never been involved to any
trouble. Investigation pointed also that Jonathan Osal probably died naturally
due to his medical condition for the fact that there were several occasions
that he suffered a blood pressure. Dr. Ricardo Awit, Rural Health Unit Officer,
was coordinated for a physical/medical examination to appropriately determine

Mauling Incident in Relation to RA 9262
DAPITAN CITY - One April
Balingit Pugoy, 29 years old, married and a resident of Barangay Aseñero
Dapitan City personally appeared to Piñan MPS and reported that at around 8:30AM of November 3, 2016, while
she was at the house of her mother located at Barangay Poblacion South, Piñan,
Zamboanga del Norte, her husband identified as Ronald Pugoy y Tizon, 33 years
old, arrived at the said house in an angry manner and without
apparent/sufficient reason, punched her in the face, grasped her clothes and dragged her to the
kitchen of the said house then the said husband threw her a sack containing 10
kilograms of rice. The victim sustained injuries on the different parts of her
body. After the incident, the suspect went to their home located at Barangay
Aseñero, Dapitan City. The elements of Piñan MPS conducted hot pursuit
operation and at about 12:10PM of same date, the said suspect was successfully
arrested at their residence. Suspect was brought to Piñan MPS for further
investigation while the victim was brought by the responding team to Piñan
District Hospital for medical treatment.
A case of Physical Abused in Relation to RA 9262 is now being prepared
by Piñan MPS for inquest filing against the suspect. Investigator on case is

Vehicular Traffic Accident
LA LIBERTAD - Vehicular
accident transpired near at her residence in Poblacion, La Libertad about 5:00
o’clock in the afternoon of November 3, 2016 involving two (2) motorcycles. Initial
investigation conducted disclosed that the two (2) motorcycles involved were:
MC1- Red/black XRM 125 bearing temporary plate number, driven by Izy Lou O.
Villarin, without driver’s license, employee of La Libertad Rural Health Unit;
and MC2- Red/black Kawasaki Rouzer 150, bearing plate no. 090106 driven by
Caryl Catarig aka Bobong, 26 years old, single and a resident of La Victoria,
La Libertad, with back rider identified Richel Catarig, 15 years old. Accordingly,
the two (2) MCs were travelling in an opposite direction and upon arrival at
the place of incident, MC1 was about to cross the provincial road going to the
above-mentioned health unit while the driver of MC2 was fast approaching
heading towards Barangay Mauswagon, La Libertad, did not noticed the incoming
MC1 that resulted to a collision of both motorcycles. Driver of MC1 who is
pregnant and back rider of MC2 were brought to the nearest hospital for
immediate medication while driver of MC2 who sustained minor bruises was
brought to Rural Health Unit (RHU) for first aid medication and subsequently
brought to La Libertad MPS for proper disposition.
