Stabbing Incident
SINDANGAN - Stabbing
incident has transpired at Barangay La Roche, Sindangan, Zamboanga Del Norte at
about 10:50 PM of April 26, 2017. The suspect was identified as Abundio Alviar
Baylon, 67 years old, married, a resident of Barangay Talinga, Sindangan,
Zamboanga Del Norte. Confiscated from the suspects possession was one (1) knife
with scabbard. Initial investigation disclosed that the victim identified as Rene
Itang Devila, 40 years old, married, a resident of the above-mentioned place.
further investigation disclosed that at about 10:30 PM of April 26, 2017 when
the suspect arrived at the house of the victim and believed to be under the
influenced of intoxicated liquor, shouted in visayan dialect to wit; ako ning
sunugon ning mga balay diri, kinsa may isog, then the victim came out and
pacified but the suspect stabbed him hitting on his stomach. Suspect is
temporarily detained at Sindangan MPS for proper disposition.
Entrapment Operation
LABASON - One PO3
Victor Tingas Cogo, 55 years old, married and a resident of Osukan, Labason,
Zamboanga Del Norte, PNP personnel assigned at Labason MPS personally reported
to Dipolog CPS that allegedly a certain NUP Vincent Falcasantos Carpitanos, 50
year old, single and currently assigned at ZNPPO Camp Hamac, Sicayab, Dipolog
City, designated as Provincial Supply Accountable Officer (PSAO) asked him for
money worth of two hundred forty thousand pesos (Php 240,000.00) for the release
of his retirement clearance and took possession his three (3) folders to assure
his payment but po3 cogo argued that he cannot afford to give that full amount
so they agreed that said money will be given in installment basis. At around
8:00 am of April 25, 2017, he went to the house of the suspect at Rizal Avenue
Extension, Estaka, Dipolog City and gave the initial amount of fifty thousand
pesos (php 50,000.00) as the partial payment. Likewise, at around 8:00 am of April
25, 2017, another amount of twenty thousand pesos (Php 20,000.00) was given to
the suspect at the same venue. on April 26, 2017, Po3 Victor Cogo then
proceeded at provincial intelligence branch of ZNPPO complaining about the
matter and a joint entrapment operation by the intelligence personnel of Dipolog
CPS led by Psi Alexis Bahunsua and PIB personnel of ZNPPO led Pci Mendel Casao was
conducted at around 12:38 pm of April 27, 2017 and successfully arrested NUP
Vincent Falcasantos Carpitanos. Recovered from his possession and control the
proceeds marked money in five hundred peso bills in different denomination
worth of twenty thousand pesos (Php 20,000.00) with powder dusting. Subject
person is now temporarily detained at Dipolog CPS for filing of appropriate
charges in court. Investigator-on-case is Po3 Allan Tapales with cellphone

Dead Body Found
DAPITAN CITY - A dead
human body was found along the National Highway Of Sitio Lucas, Brgy Sto. Niño,
Dapitan City, Zamboanga Del Norte at about 11:25 PM of April 27, 2017. The victim
was identified as Renante Bongcawel Jumuad, 22 years old, single and a resident
of Sitio Lucas, Brgy Sto. Niño, Dapitan City, Zamboanga Del Norte. Initial
investigation conducted disclosed that prior to the incident, at about 5:00pm
of april 26, 2017, the victim seen at the store of Cristita Nadela, located of
same place, having a drinking spree with his friends, Cecelio Nadela Jr, Mario
Cebal, Anastacio Yorong, Joey Requis And Arthuro Cedeño. at about 9:00pm of
same date, their friends went home and left him at the store, according to the
store owner Cristita Nadela, the victim shouted in visayan dialect to quote
“gahi?” to the unidentified motorist riding motorcycle happened to passed by
from the city proper going to Brgy Taguilon, Dapitan City.Thereafter, the
victim went home walking along the national road. then a certain Wenefredo
Bantilan Taruc, 56 years old and a resident of same place who was awaken due to
the loud barks of his dog peeped outside his house and saw the victim was
chased by two (2) unidentified male person wearing a long sleeve shirt with a
hood color red and black while their companion wearing shorts pants without
upper garment followed them riding a motorcycle. Few meters away, the victim
tumbled down along the road while the three (3) unidentified male suspects
immediately fled away boarded to their gate away motorcycle going to city
proper. Victim sustained four (4) stabbed wounds; one (1) on his upper left
chest, two (2) on his abdomen and a one (1) on his back, while two (2) incise
wounds; one (1) on his left and right forearm that led to his instantaneous
death. The cadaver was then properly turned over to his father Calexto Mendoza
Jumuad. Dapitan CPS is still conducting investigation for possible

OPERATIONAL ACCOMPLISHMENT REPORTS
Project Double Barrel
DAPITAN CITY - The
drug enforcement unit of Dapitan City Police Station and PDEA conducted joint
drug buy-bust operation at Barangay Bucana-Sicayab, Dapitan City, Zamboanga Del
Norte at about 6:30 PM of April 27, 2017. This resulted to the arrest of two
(2) suspects identified as Deson Mera Daymiel Fuentes, 27 years old, single and
Roger Cadgente Sabanal, 35 years old, single and both residents of Purok
Chrismus, Sicayab, Dipolog City, Zamboanga Del Norte. Confiscated from their
possession and control were five (5) pcs small sachets of suspected shabu; one
(1) pc small sachets of suspected shabu; one (1) pc five hundred peso bill used
as buy-bust money and one (1) pc five peso coin. Inventory and markings of
confiscated items was witnessed by Hon. Jammel Sanchez, Brgy Councilor of Brgy.
Bucana, Sicayab, Dapitan City, Zamboanga Del Norte and Ms. Erna D. Baradillo,
Media Representative. Suspects are now temporarily detained at said police
station for proper disposition.
Arrest of Wanted Person
JOSE DALMAN - Elements
of Jose Dalman MPS conducted operation against wanted person at Brgy Tabon,
Jose Dalman, Zambaonga Del Norte at about 10:00 AM of April 27, 2017. This resulted
to the arrest of Melchor Adlaon Grate, 52 years old, single and a resident of
said place, for violation of sec. 261, par. e article xxii of BP 881 otherwise
known as the omnibus election code docketed under criminal case no. s-5548 with
bail bond fixed to twenty- four thousand pesos (p24, 000.00) issued by Judge
Reymar L. Lacaya Of Rtc Br. 11, Sindangan, Zambaonga Del Norte Dated April 25,
2017. Subject is now detained at said police station for proper disposition.
Arrest of Wanted Person
DIPOLOG CITY - Combined
operatives of Polanco MPS and Dipolog CPS conducted operation on wanted person
at Barangay Letapan Polanco, Zamboanga Del Norte at about 7:30 AM of April 27,
2017. This led to the successful arrest of Philip Arsenal Romero, 22 years old,
single, farmer and a resident of Brgy. Olingan, Dipolog City and Donato Jamolod
Esmade, 20 years old, single, farmer and a resident of Barangay Letapan,
Polanco, Zamboanga Del Norte by virtue of warrant of arrest issued by Hon.
Victoriano Dl. Laquihon, Jr., Presiding Judge, RTC Branch 9 Of Dipolog City,
Zamboanga Del Norte for the crime of theft docketed under criminal case number
19481 dated february 25, 2015 with recommended bail bond fixed at (php.
10,000.00). Suspect was turned over to Dipolog CPS for proper disposition.
