Electrocution Incident
LILOY - An
electrocution incident transpired at Barangay Malila, Liloy, Zamboanga Del
Norte. The victim was identified as Eleazar Asis Lorejo, male, married, 38
years old, farmer a resident of Barangay Malila, Liloy. Initial investigation
disclosed that around 3:30PM of February 12, 2017 the victim was harvesting
coconut fruit in an agricultural land situated at the said barangay using a
bamboo stick with sharp scythe at the top and accidentally touches the live
electrical wire of Zamboanga Del Norte Cooperative (ZANECO) that resulted to
his electrocution. Neighbors brought the victim to Liloy Integrated District
Hospital however declared Dead on Arrival (DOA) by the attending physician.
Stabbing Incident
SINDANGAN - The suspect
of stabbing incident identified as Alemar Tagapan y Adriatico, 24 years old,
male, single and a member of CAFGU (SF, PA) currently assigned at Sitio Bonbon,
Brgy Tinaplan, Sindangan, Zamboanga del Norte accompanied by his cousin
Reveriano Acbayan of Barangay Poblacion, Leon B. Postigo, Zamboanga Del Norte voluntary
surrendered at Leon B. Postigo MPS for stabbing Junie Mandawan Y Andus, 34
years old, married, male, Filipino, CAFGU member and a resident at Barangay
Dagohoy, Sindangan, Zamboanga del Norte.
Initial investigation conducted disclosed that at about 9:00 PM of
February 12, 2017, after the suspect’s tour of duty, the victim Junie Mandawan
invited the suspect Alemar Tagapan to have a drinking spree and in the middle
of their drinking session, a heated argument transpired then the victim boxed
the suspect hitting on the different parts of his body that prompted the
suspect to stabbed the victim with the use of a knife which was tucked on his
waist. The victim sustained one (1) stabbed wound on his right chest and was
immediately brought by his companion Alvin Onggocan y Malig-On at Sindangan
District Hospital for immediate medical treatment while the suspect fled away
from the crime scene. On the early morning of the following day, the suspect
voluntarily surrendered to Leon B. Postigo. Elements of Sindangan MPS proceeded
to Leon B Postigo MPS to fetch the suspect and subsequently brought to
Sindangan District Hospital for physical examination. Suspect was temporarily
detained at Sindangan MPS detention cell while appropriate charges now being
prepared for filing in court.

Arrest of Wanted Person
LEON POSTIGO - PNP
elements of Leon Postigo MPS conducted manhunt operation at Barangay
Bogabongan, Leon Postigo, Zamboanga Del Norte at about 1:30PM of February 13,
2017. This led to the arrest of Michael Pongon Laure, male, 30 years old,
married, construction worker and a resident of Barangay, Bogabongan, Leon
Postigo. This is by virtue of Warrant
of Arrest issued by Presiding Judge,
Reymar L. Lacaya Regional Trial Court
Branch 11,Sindangan, with bail bond amounting to Twelve Thousand Pesos (12,000)
for the crime of “Act of Lasciviousness in relation R.A. 7610” with Criminal
Case Number S-4357. He was temporarily
detained at Leon Postigo MPS for proper disposition.
Campaign against Illegal Gambling
SIOCON - The Siocon
MPS conducted operation against illegal gambling at Barangay S. Cabral. Cabral,
Siocon, Zamboanga Del Norte at about 8:00 PM of February 13, 2017. The
operation led to the arrest of Erwin Badjo y Velasquez, 25 years old, married
and a resident of Barangay San Jose, Baliguian, Zamboanga Del Norte. He was
nabbed while collecting or stand as agent of a principal or financier of an
illegal number game known as “swertres” and soliciting, collecting bets at the
mentioned place. Confiscated from the possession and control of the suspect
were the following, to wit; one (1) unit blue single MC Rusi without plate
number attached which the suspect used in collecting bets; one (1) light blue
sling bag with markings Nike containing one (1) piece ball pen; five hundred
(₱500.00) pesos in different denominations; pieces of carbon paper, eleven (11)
pieces tally sheet dated 02-13-17 with markings “Swertres Lotto” indicating the
time of draw and the number which the patron’s bet and name of the following
agent, 1.) E. Alabata, 2.) certain J.L 3.) T. dela Torre, 4.) Siay Decoy, 5.)
Belen Tabo-Tabo, 6.) Ria spillway, Siay, Siocon, 7.) Aileen D. Ramirez, 8.)
Berio Panaguiton, 8.) M.C.B., 9.) Anita D. Moras, 10.) Rosie Ponce. Arrested
suspect was informed of his Constitutional Rights (Miranda Doctrine and
Anti-Torture Warning) and subsequently brought to Siocon District Hospital for
medical and physical examination.
Campaign against Illegal Gambling
KATIPUNAN - Operatives
of Katipunan MPS conducted operation against illegal gambling at Barangay Dr.
Jose Rizal, Katipunan, Zamboanga Del Norte at about 8:30 PM of February 13,
2017. This led to the arrest of John Angelo Arberolos Dataro, 23 years old,
single a resident of Barangay Daanglungsod, Katipunan. He was arrested after he
was caught in the act while riding his black and white color combination XRM 110
motorcycle with plate number JP 3051, engaged in illegal number game locally
known as “Suertres” at the said place. Confiscated from the possession and
control of the suspect were the following, to wit: a. Twenty-three (23) tally
sheets with different number combinations dated February 13, 2017; b. one (1) ballpeen;
c. one red and yellow combination body
Bag; d. one (1) unit black Nokia cell
phone 2630 ; and e. Four Thousand eight Hundred ten Pesos (P4, 810.00) as
collected bet money. All confiscated evidences are temporarily deposited at
Katipunan MPS for proper filing of appropriate complaint against the suspect.
