Man Held at Checkpoint for
Carrying Unlicensed FA
KALAWIT
- PNP personnel of Kalawit MPS together with AFP personnel of 42nd
IB, Phil. Army conducted joint checkpoint operation at Brgy Poblacion, Kalawit,
Zamboanga Del Norte at about 2:55 PM of February 4, 2018. This led to the
apprehension of Jelson E Faeldin Sr, 47 years old, and a resident of Brgy
Marcelo, Kalawit, for carrying one (1) unit
caliber 45 pistol, SN: 225285 with one (1) magazine and five (5) ammo. Upon
verification, the arrested person failed to present legal documents on the said
firearm. Subject person is now detained at Kalawit MPS for proper disposition.
Drowning Incident
DIPOLOG
CITY -0 Drowning incident transpired at Purok Mahinabangon, Bolicon, Turno,
Dipolog City at about 6:20 PM of February 4,
2018. Initial investigation conducted disclosed that the victim identified as Jose
Ruth Javier Bagalanon, 49 years old, married and a resident of Purok
Mahinabangon, Bolicon, Turno, Dipolog City. Further investigation revealed and
upon interview to Jhon Vincent Bagalanon Y Santillana, the son of the victim,
he revealed that at about 5:00 PM of same date, his father Jose Ruth left his
lower garment (short pants) to his brother Jason Bagalanon and went to the
river at the above-mentioned place then jumped to the water without apparent
reason. The said incident was seen by his brothers cyril bagalanon and Widmark
Bagalanon together their neighbors. His brother Widmark Bagalanon tried to save
the victim, but the victim immediately sunk due to strong current. Search and
rescue team of Brgy Turno, Dipolog City led by Barangay Captain Cyril James
Ruiz Iii, together with PNP personnel of Dipolog CPS are conducting search and
rescue operation in order to locate the body of the victim.
