Shooting Incident
SIOCON -
On February 20, 2018 at about 2:20 PM, Shooting Incident transpired at Sitio
Marang-Marang, Brgy. Sta. Maria, Siocon. The victim was identified as Hamza
Pawa Daiz, male, 65 years old, Married, Brgy Kagawad of Balagunan, Siocon. He was
shot to death by unidentified suspect with the used of unknown caliber of
firearms. Initial investigation conducted disclosed that the victim was shot by
unidentified suspect/s at the shoreline of said place while painting his pump
boat. After the incident, the suspect/s immediately fled to unknown direction.
Recovered at the crime scene were one (1) empty shell of cal. 9mm and three (3)
cartridge cases of cal. 45 pistols. Victim sustained five (5) gunshot wounds on
the back portion of his body that resulted his instantaneous death. PNP
personnel of Siocon MPS conducted follow up investigation to determine the
motive and possible arrest of the suspect. Investigator is SPO3 Eduardo P.

Rape Suspect Arrested
SALUG -
On February 20, 2018 at about 10:30 PM, operatives of Salug MPS conducted
manhunt operation at Sitio Tambalang Tres Barangay Tambalang, Salug, that
resulted in the arret of Democrito
Tolero Ogarte, married, 52 years old and a resident of Brgy Tambalang, Salug,
Zamboanga del Norte by virtue of an Order of Arrest dated November 15, 20017
issued by Hon. Oscar D. Tomarong- Presiding Judge of Regional Trial Court, 9th
Judicial Region, Br. 28, Liloy, Zamboanga del Norte for the crime of “3 Counts
Of Rape” in relation to R.A. 7610, docketed under Criminal Case No. L-003338
with No bail bond recommended. The arrested subject person is presently
detained at Salug MPS for proper disposition.
Arson Suspect Cuffed
MANUKAN
- On February 20, 2018 at about 7:00 PM, Personnel of Manukan MPS conducted
manhunt operation against a wanted person at Barangay East Poblacion, Manukan,
Zamboanga Del Norte that resulted in the arrest of Damiano Combo Opod, male, 43
years old, Trisikad driver single resident of Brgy. Pangandao, Manukan ZN.
Subject was arrested for the crime of Arson with Criminal Case No: 22275 dated
February 12, 2018, issued by Hon. Victoriano D. Lacaya, RTC, Branch 9, Dipolog
City with temporary bail of twenty four thousand pesos (Php24, 000.00). Subject
is temporarily detained at Manukan MPS for proper disposition.
