Incident in Polanco
Hacking Incident transpired at Purok Okra Brgy.
New Sicayab, Polanco, Zamboanga Del Norte at about 12:30 PM of April 30, 2018.
Barangay Officials of said place led by Barangay
Chairman Marianito Paalisbo the arrested the suspect at around 3:45 PM of April
30, 2018 at Purok Okra, Brgy. New Sicayab, Polanco.
The suspect was identified as Carmelito Octay
Omod, 43 years old, single and a resident of said place.
The victim was identified as Dominador Octay
Omod, 55 years old, married, brother of the suspect and a resident of the same
place.
Further investigation disclosed that about 12:00
o’clock in the afternoon of April 30, 2018 after the victim Dominador Omod
attended a meeting held at Brgy. San Pedro adjacent Barangay of Brgy. New Sicayab
he went home and upon reaching the house of his cousin, Marcelo Omod at above-mentioned
place the victim stayed and takes a rest having conversation with his
relatives.
Then suddenly Armelinda Omod wife of his cousin
came and hurriedly informed the victim that his brother Camelito was present at
the back of the house of Marcelo with a bolo.
The victim was then run away towards the house
when suddenly the suspect chased at him.
Thereafter the duo having a commotion and the
victim was managed and prevent the attacked of the suspect that during the time
the suspect was under the influence of liquor. The relatives then came and
helped pacify the commotion.
The victim sustained minor hacked wounds on
different parts of his body and was rushed to Rural Health Unit of Polanco.
While the bolo used by the suspect was
confiscated measuring 23 inches long and the suspect was temporary detained at
Polanco MPS detention facility for proper disposition and filing of criminal
charges against him.
Vehicular
Traffic Accident in Dapitan City
On May 1, 2018 at about 2:20 AM, a vehicular
traffic accident occurred along Sunset Blvrd, Brgy Dawo, Dapitan City involving
two (2) vehicles that resulted to Homicide, Multiple Physical Injuries and
Damage to Property.
Initial Investigation conducted disclosed that,
two (2) Motorcycle involved described as follow’s.
-(MC-1) black, Honda limited edition, no plate
number attached, no Certificate of Registration and Official Receipt presented,
driven by Neil Client Eldian, 17 years old, male, single, no driver’s license,
a resident of Purok Malipayon, Brgy Talisay, Dapitan City. His back rider identified as Jenrey Esconde
Cadorna, 18 years old male, resident of Brgy Talisay, Dapitan City and
-(MC-2) white/blue combination, Honda XR,
bearing plate number JO 8561, no Certificate of Registration and official
Receipt presented, driven by Harlouie Hamoy Hamac, 17 years old, male, sinlge,
no driver’s license, resident of Brgy Sta. Cruz, Dapitan City. His back rider
identified as James Howard Acaylar Cadiente, 18 years old, male, single,
resident of Looc, Brgy Banonong, Dapitan City.
Prior to the incident, both motorcycles were
travelling on same direction from Hotel Pavilion going to Gloria De Dapitan.
Upon reaching at the aforementioned placed of
accident particularly near Erlinda’s Restaurant, both Motorcycles swerved to
opposite direction. MC-1 went to the right direction and bumped to the steel
road construction forms resulting to the back rider broken his right foot while
the MC-2 went on the left direction and further bumped to the electric post
resulting to the instantaneous death of the back rider.
Both rider and the back rider of MC-2, believed
to be under the influence of liquor.
The Victims were brought to Dr. Jose Rizal
Memorial Hospital by the CDRRMO personnel on board rescue Ambulance for medical
treatment/Examination.
Recovered on the crime scene were;
-one caliber .45 pistol, colt with serial No.
235141 and
-one (1) magazine with seven (7) live
ammunitions.
The two (2) motorcycles were brought to the
station for proper disposition.
