Hacking Incident
LABASON - Hacking
incident transpired in Barangay Lopoc, Labason, Zamboanga Del Norte at about
6:00 AM of May 8, 2017. The victims were identified as Alma Barbacias Duco, 48
years old, Lorenzo Ignacio Barbacias, 82 years old, and Raymunda Gitalan
Barbacias, 84 years old, all residents of said place. Initial investigation
disclosed that prior to the incident, Alma was gathering coconuts near the
seashore when she was fired upon with an unknown caliber of firearm by the
suspect named Neil Gitalan Dela Cruz. This prompted her to run towards her
house where the other two (2) victims also stayed. The suspect, also armed with
a bolo, chased her and forcibly entered the house and subsequently hacked the
three (3) victims several times. The victims sustained serious hack wounds on
the different parts of their bodies. The suspect fled after the incident. All
victims were brought to Labason District Hospital for immediate medication. Reymunda
Barbacias was declared dead on arrival by the attending physician. Personnel of
Labason MPS are conducting follow-up operation to arrest the suspect.
Shooting Incident
SIRAWAI - Shooting
incident transpired in Sitio Tiwalang, Barangay Bitugan, Sirawai, Zamboanga Del
Norte at about 6:40 AM of May 8, 2017, wherein the victim named Gilbert Dalion
Arsenal, 50 years old, a resident of above-mentioned place, sustained several
gunshot wounds on the different parts of his body. Initial investigation
revealed that while the victim was pasturing his carabao, an unidentified
person shot him to death. After the incident, the suspect fled to an unknown
direction. Recovered at the crime scene were six (6) spent caliber .45
cartridge cases. The cadaver of the victim was turned-over to his relatives,
while personnel of Sirawai MPS are still conducting follow-up operation to
arrest the suspect.
Shooting Incident
SIRAWAI - Shooting
incident transpired in Barangay Saint Marry, Sirawai, Zamboanga Del Norte at wherein
the victim was identified as Salim Wahab, 25 years old, single, resident of
barangay Panabutan, Sirawai, Zamboanga Del Norte. Initial investigation
disclosed that as the victim was walking along the national highway in said
area, an unidentified person shot him and fled to unknown direction after the
incident. The victim sustained a gunshot wound and managed to run towards Barangay
Sirawai Proper, and he was brought by a concerned citizen to the municipal
rural health unit for treatment. Elements of Sirawai MPS are still conducting
follow-up operation to identify and arrest the suspect. The motive of the
incident is still undetermined.
Vehicular Accident
POLANCO - Vehicular accident transpired along
the National Highway In Sitio Conacon, Barangay Poblacion North, Polanco,
Zamboanga Del Norte at about 3:40 PM of May 8, 2017, involving two (2)
motorcycles described as follow – (1) red/black Honda wave 125cc motorcycle
bearing plate number mc10903 driven by an unidentified male driver and (2)
black honda 100cc motorcycle bearing plate number ji 2138 driven by Emmanuel
Lobriato Ariasa, 45 years old, married, resident of Barangay Miputak, Dipolog
City, Zamboanga Del Norte. Initial investigation disclosed that as the first
vehicle was travelling from Barangay San Miguel bound for Polanco Proper; it
encroached upon the other lane of the road and accidentally bumped the second
motorcycle travelling in the opposite direction. Both motorcycles and its
drivers fell on the road and sustained serious injuries on the different parts
of their bodies. Both victims were brought to Zanorte Medical Center, Sicayab,
Dipolog City for treatment but were declared dead on arrival by attending
physicians Dr. Mata And Dr. Cebedo. The motorcycles involved are impounded at Polanco
MPS for proper disposition.
OPERATIONAL ACCOMPLISHMENT REPORT
Campaign Against Illegal Logging
POLANCO - Operatives
of Polanco MPS and
Philippine Coconut
Authority conducted a operation against illegal logging at about 10:00 AM of
May 8, 2017. This led to the interception of one Fuso canter truck bearing
plate number GHD 639 driven by Roy D. Claveria At Sitio Dap-Dap, Barangay
Poblacion South, Polanco, Zamboanga Del Norte. Said truck was loaded with sawn
flitches of coco lumber in different dimensions, having an estimated volume of
2,646 board feet, with a market value of thirty-nine thousand six hundred
ninety pesos (Php 39,690.00) owned by a certain Elmer R Quinlog, 49 years old,
married, resident of Barangay Galas, Dipolog City. The driver and the owner
failed to present legal documents for the transport of said lumbers. The
intercepted truck and its load were turned-over to PCA for proper disposition.
