Recovery
of Dead Dolphin (Endangered Species)

B. POSTIGO, Zamboanga del Norte (March 19, 2019) - On March 18, 2019 at about 6:30 PM, information received by LB
Postigo MPS from George Escobido, 38 years old, fisherman and a resident of
Delusom, Leon B. Postigo, Zamboanga del Norte regarding the discovery of a dead
Dolphin which was found lying at the shoreline of the aforementioned place.
Immediately, personnel of said police
station proceeded at the area and found out dead dolphin at said area and was
immediately turned-over to Mr.
Ricardo Mahinay- OIC, of Local
Municipal Fisheries of said municipality. Subject dead dolphin was burned into ashes
upon the decision made by Mr. Ricardo Mahinay to avoid contamination to the
Local populace at the above-mentioned place since it was already distorted and
in the stage of decomposition.
Shooting
Incident
GUTALAC,
Zamboanga del Norte (March 18, 2019) -
Shooting incident transpired at Public Market, Salvador, Gutalac, Zamboanga del
Norte about 7:35 PM March 17, 2019.
Initial investigation conducted
revealed that the victim identified as Riniboy Sabillon Enario a.k.a. Boboy, 54
yrs old, married, farmer and a resident of Brgy. San Isidro, Gutalac, Zamboanga
del Norte together with one William Gumamay resident of Brgy. Upper Gutalac of
this municipality about to live Salvador Public Market using SkyGo 150cc color
blue driven by the victim when suddenly one Baja MC color black driven by one
person wearing black jacket, hat and face mask approached the victim and
without apparent reason shot the victim using unidentified firearm several
times hitting on back and chest portion of his body and fled towards Labason
direction.
The victim was brought by personnel of
Gutalac Municipal Police Station at Labason Emergency Hospital, La Union,
Labason, Zamboanga del Norte but pronounced dead on arrival by the attending
Physician Dr. Zenaida Nataa.
Said victim was a drug surrenderee of
Gutalac MPS on July 9, 2016 and believed to be involved on Robbery Incident at
Brgy. Salvador, Gutalac sometime on November 2012 wherein his younger brother
was arrested during the incident.
Recovered from the crime scene were
five (5) empty shells of cal.45 and the motorcycle of the victim. The back
rider of the victim William Gumamay was no longer sited in the area upon
arrival of the responding team.
Personnel of Gutalac MPS conducted hot
pursuit operation for possible identification and arrest of the suspect. The
dead body was still at Labason Emergency Hospital.
Stabbing
Incident
KALAWIT,
Zamboanga del Norte (March 19, 2019) -
Stabbing Incident transpired in their Barangay particularly at Purok 7, Brgy
Fatima, Kalawit, Zamboanga Del Norte at about 1:50 AM of March 18, 2019.
The victim was identified as Eglory
Gumoba Sandiego, 44 year old, male, married, Brgy Councilor of said place. He
was stabbed by the suspect identified as Bensio Pacho Demalig, 53 years old,
male married, farmer and a resident of same place.
Initial investigation conducted
disclosed that prior to the incident at about 1:50 AM of March 18, 2019 the
victim and the suspect had an heated argument and misunderstanding regarding
the payment of the electricity used by the suspect because the suspect was just
tap an electricity to the victim’s house.
Thereafter without any words the
suspect pulled his bolo from scabbard (strapped around his waist) and stabbed
the victim but luckily only the shirt of the victim was hit and the victim was
able to run away from the suspect.
Thereafter the suspect was successfully
arrested by the responding personnel at their house and recovered the bolo used
during the incident measuring 18 and a half inches including the handle and was
appraised of his constitutional rights and subsequently brought to Kalawit
Municipal Police Station for further investigation and disposition.
Man
Arrested in Dapitan City for Attempted Rape
DAPITAN
CITY, Zamboanga del Norte (March 15, 2019) –
Police operatives of Dapitan City Police Station conducted manhunt operation at
Brgy. Sicayab-Bucana, Dapitan City at about 2:00 PM of March 14, 2019.
Arrested suspect was identified as Eric
Pondol Torres, 25 years old and a resident of same place.
Subject person was arrested by virtue
of Warrant of Arrest issued by Judge of Branch 8, 9th RTC, Dipolog City dated
February 15, 2010, for the crime of Attempted Rape, docketed under Criminal
Case number 22945 with bail bond to Php 120,000.00.
Arrested suspect is now detained at
Dapitan CPS for proper disposition.
Vehicular
Accident
SERGIO
OSMEÑA, Zamboanga del Norte (March 16, 2019) - Vehicular traffic incident occurred along the National Highway
of Sitio Batotil-til, Brgy Biayon, S. Osmena, Zamboanga del Norte at about
9:35PM of March 15, 2019.
The accident was involving blue Honda
Road Sport MC driven by Joren Pailaga, 25 yo with two (2) backriders namely;
Junriel Rafols Castillon, 35 years old, and Kevin Nequillo Pailaga, 22 years
old, all resident of Brgy San Vicente, Katipunan, Zamboanga del Norte.
Investigation conducted disclosed that
while said motorcycle was travelling from Dipolog City bound to S. Osmena
proper, and upon reaching the place of incident particularly at the curve lane,
the driver overtook another vehicle causing him to lost control of his driven
motorcycle and bumped into a concrete post installed beside the road resulting
them to fell down and drag on the road.
As a result, all riders sustained
injuries in different parts of their bodies and were brought ZANORTE Medical
Center, Sicayab, Dipolog City for medication, but the back rider Junriel Rafols
Castillon was pronounced DOA by the attending physician Dr. Rodelo E. Ticson.
Motorcycle involved is now in custody
of S. Osmena MPS for disposition.
Mauling
Incident
SINDANGAN,
Zamboanga del Norte (March 16, 2019) - Mauling
incident occurred at Brgy Bantayan, Sindangan, Zamboanga del Norte at about
3:30PM of March 15, 2019.
The suspect was identified as Ian Indab
Bentes, 25 and a resident of Brgy Misok Sindangan and the victim identified as Pablo
Tallido, 30 and a a resident of Brgy Balok, Sindangan, Zamboanga del Norte.
Initial investigation conducted
disclosed that prior to the incident, the victim who was believed to be under
the influence of intoxicated liquor, allegedly slapped the mother of the
suspect, that prompted the suspect to punch the victim once hitting his jaw
resulting him to tumbled down on the ground and subsequently the victim’s head
landed on a stone.
Victim was brought to Sindangan
District Hospital but later declared dead on arrival by attending physician
Dra. Julieta Yano while the suspect was arrested and now detained at Sindangan
MPS for proper disposition.
Rape
Suspect Arrested
SERGIO
OSMEÑA, Zamboanga del Norte (March 17, 2019) - Joint PNP Personnel of Mahayag MPS and Sergio Osmeña MPS
(Zamboanga del Norte) conducted police operation on wanted person at Barangay
Labiray, Sergio Osmeña Zamboanga del Norte at about 6:50 AM of March 16, 2019.
The operation was resulted in the
arrest of Recardo Betala Y Maputi, 31 years old, male, single, jobless and a
resident of Barangay San Vicente, Mahayag Zamboanga Del Sur.
The accused was arrested by virtue of
Warrant of Arrest for the crime of Rape docketed under CC 2013-10-2583, issued
by Presiding Judge, Regional Trial Court, 9th Judicial Region, Branch 23,
Molave, Zambonga del Sur with NO bail bond recommended.
The arrested person is now under the
custody of Mahayag MPS for proper disposition.
Murder
Suspect Cuffed
GODOD,
Zamboanga del Norte (March 17, 2019) –
Police operatives of Godod MPS together with Gutalac MPS conducted joint
manhunt operation in Sitio Riverside Barangay Raba, Godod, Zamboanga del Norte
at about 1:30 PM of Mach 16, 2019.
The operation was resulted to the
arrest of Felipe Andang Bantugan, 68, married and a resident said place.
Subject person was arrested by virtue
of Warrant of Arrest issued by Judge of RTC9, Brach 28, Liloy dated August 23,
2006 for the crimes of Murder with docketed under Criminal Case Nr L-001190 and
Attempted Murder docketed under Criminal Case Nr L-001191 without bail bond
recommended.
Arrested wanted person is now under the
custody of Godod MPS for proper disposition.
Vehicular
Traffic Incident
TAMPILISAN,
Zamboanga del Norte (March 21, 2019) -
Vehicular Traffic Incident transpired at the National Highway of Brgy Molos,
Tampilisan, Zamboanga del Norte at about 6:30 PM of March 20, 2019 involving:
Vehicle 1 - Red Suzuki, Raider 150 FI
Motorcycle Single, no plate number and driven by Roberto Muhamitano Buhale, 59
years old, married, Barangay Kagawad of Cabong, Naga, Zamboanga Sibugay with
back rider Anel Mohametano Gandangan, 28 years old, male, a resident of same
place.
Vehicle 2 - white Isuzu dump truck,
bearing plate number GON 8093, driven by Jimsun ManigosTelmo, 27 years old,
married, driver by occupation and a resident at River Side, San Roque,
Zamboanga City.
Initial investigation conducted
revealed that prior to the incident vehicle 1 was traveling from Municipality
of Liloy, going to Poblacion, Tampilisan while vehicle 2 was traveling in
opposite direction.
That upon reaching at the place of
incident, vehicle 1 running in high acceleration over took the ahead sniper
motorcycle that caused vehicle 1 incidentally bumped the incoming vehicle 2 at
the left rare fender, thereby causing vehicle 1 tumbled into the concrete road
causing the driver and his back rider suffered severe injuries.
That after the incident, the driver and
the back rider of vehicle 1 were given first medication by the MDRRMC of
Tampilisan, after medicated, the driver of vehicle 1 was rushed at Liloy
Integrated District Hospital, Liloy, Zamboanga del Norte for further medication
but unfortunately Roberto Buhale was declared dead on arrival by the attending
Physician Juvelisa Asentista while his back rider was brought at Ipil Emergency
Hospital, Ipil, Zamboanga Sibugay for further medication.
That the driver of vehicle 2 Jemsun
Telmo voluntarily surrender to the responding team and was brought at
Tampilisan RHU for medical examination and subsequently brought to Tampilisan
Municipal Police Station as well as the motorcycle involved while the vehicle 2
dump truck was temporarily place under custody of the barangay officials of
Molos, Tampilisan where the incident happen.
Wanted
Person Cuffed in Dipolog City
DIPOLOG
CITY, Zamboanga del Norte (March 21, 2019) –
CIDG-Provincial Field Unit 9, Dipolog City Police Station and Polanco Municipal
Police Station conducted manhunt operation in Barangay Minaog, Dipolog City,
Zamboanga del Norte at about 11:30 AM of March 20, 2019.
The operation was led to the arrest of
Rodrigo Guerrero Morgia male, 54 Years old, married, a resident of Purok Happy
Valley 1 Barangay Sianib, Polanco, Zamboanga del Norte.
He was arrested by virtue of Warrant of
Arrest issued by Judge of RTC9th Judicial Region, Branch 8, Dipolog City dated
March 14, 2019 for Unlawful Manufacture of Firearms & Ammunition docketed
under Criminal Case number 23011 with bail bond recommended amounting to
Php180,000.00 and for Illegal Possession of Firearm & Ammunition docketed
under Criminal Case number 23012 with bail bond recommended amounting to
P200,000.00.
Arrested wanted person is now detained
at Polanco Municipal Police Station for proper disposition.
