Stabbing Incident
DAPITAN
CITY - On March 1, 2018 at about 10:35 PM, a stabbing incident transpired at Brgy San Pedro,
Dapitan City wherein the victim identified as Arthoro A. Navales, 73 years old,
married, a resident of Purok Piyape, Brgy San Pedro, Dapitan City was stabbed
by his son Leonard Jumao-as Navales, 42 years old, single and a resident of
same place. Initial investigation conducted disclosed that the victim was
sleeping in the shanty beside his house, the suspect believed to be under the
influence of liquor, suddenly went inside and stabbed him with a bolo measuring
more or less Twenty (20) inches including the handle aiming his chest but
luckily, he was able to evade and hit his left hand. They then scuffle and
finally recover the bolo from the suspect. The victim was brought to Jose Rizal
Memorial Hospital for medical attention. Suspect was arrest by the responding
PNP personnel of Dapitan CPS. The arrested subject person is presently detained
at Dapitan CPS for filing of appropriate charges in court. Motive of the
incident is personal grudge. Investigator is PO3 Alnito Aya-ay with contact
