Hacking Incident
SIBUCO -
On March 4, 2018 at about 7:45PM, a hacking incident transpired at Sitio
Dapitan, Poblacion, Sibuco, Zamboanga Del Norte. Wherein victim identified as Alvin
Igasan Samlani, 22 years old, male, single, Farmer and a resident of
Poblacion,Sibuco was hacked by Jordam Baguinda Atani,50 years old, male,
married, farmer, also a resident of same place. Investigation conducted
disclosed that while the victim was sitting alone at the long chair beside the
house of Manandi Dacon, the suspect who
was under influence of liquor approached the victim and without any argument,
directly hacked the victim using a bolo. The victim sustained hacked wounds on
the left side of his face and back portion of his head and was brought to
Sibuco Municipal Hospital for treatment. Suspect fled to unknown direction. Elements
of Siocon MPS conducted follow up operation for the possible arrest of the
suspect.
Missing Persons
SIRAWAI
- Five (5) persons were namely: Roger Jung-an, 36 years old, married; Jomar
Maglangit, 26 years old, single; Reymond Purisima, 14 years old, single; Jomar
Mantangan 25 years old, married; and
Mario Rosales, 46 years old, single, all residents of Barangay San
Nicolas, Sirawai, Zamboanga del Norte and a laborer by occupation were missing.
Accordingly, at about 6:00AM of March 3, 2018, the five missing persons went to
Sitio Maasum, Brgy San Nicolas, Sirawai, Zamboanga Del Norte purposely to cut
timber thereat but until this time, they were not able to return home. PNP
personnel of Sirawai MPS are now conducting hot pursuit operation for the
possible recovery of the missing persons. Investigator is PO2 Rashid Paniorotan

Arrest of Suspects and Recovery
of Theft Motorcycle
SALUG - On
March 4, 2018 at about 12:22 PM, an abandoned black Honda Wave MC at the
National Highway of Brgy Mucas, Salug, Zamboanga Del Norte. Accordingly, said
motorcycle was left behind by the two persons, the driver and the back rider
(with the same descriptions of Alyas Boknoy and Alyas Monsor after met an
accident of the said place, when they incidentally bumped the stock file of
boulders for the repair of said road.
Due to the incident, the engine of said motorcycle was damage and both
driver and back rider sustained injuries on their bodies the fled away from the
said place. The responding team brought the said motorcycle to Salug MPS for
verification and positively identified by the owner (Ma. Blanca S Urongan) that
it was her stolen motorcycle. Meanwhile, at about 5:10PM of same date, Salug
MPS received information thru established BIN of Brgy Caracol, Salug, that said
Alyas Boknoy and Alyas Monsor were sighted in the house of Alyas Tonton
Campasas of Sitio Carbon Brgy Caracol, Salug Zamboanga del Norte. Acted on the
report, responding team proceeded to the said place to verify the said report.
Upon reaching on the said place, at around 5:25 PM of same date, said team
successfully arrested the two suspects identified as Jayboy Lagrama Mariano
Alyas Boknoy, 21 years old, single, male, under probation for violation of R.A
9165 and Rey Mangubat Tampon Alyas Monsor, male, minor, 15 years old, single
and both a resident of Brgy Sarawagan, Godod, Zamboanga del Norte. Further,
both suspects were brought to Liloy Integrated District Hospital for medical
examination and now in Salug MPS for further investigation and proper
disposition.
Arrest of Wanted Person
SINDANGAN
- On March 4, 2018 at about 6:15 PM,
PNP elements of Sindangan MPS conducted manhunt operation at Barangay Balok,
Sindangan, Zamboanga Del Norte. This resulted in the arrest of Jerwin Ferolino
Echavia, 28 years old, male, married and a resident of Barangay Balok,
Sindangan, ZN, by virtue of WOA issued by Presiding Judge Nimfa B.
Carreon-Padao of the Third Municipal Circuit Trial Court of Sindangan, ZN dated
November 6, 2017 for the crime of Attempted Homicide docketed under Criminal Case
Nr 12884 with bail bond recommended fixed at P12, 000.00. The arrested subject
person is presently detained at Sindangan MPS for proper disposition.
Alleged Illegal Logging
SIOCON -
On March 4, 2018 at about 9:00PM, an alleged illegal logging activity was
transpired at Sitio Sicanan, Brgy. Latabon, Siocon, Zamboanga Del Norte.
Immediately alert team of Siocon MPS together with personnel from CENRO-Siocon,
DENR-IX led by Rosaliano Sta. Teresa y Acuña-Forest Ranger, troops from 13th SF
Coy and 42nd Phil. Army proceeded to the area to verify the veracity of report.
That at about 09:00PM of same date, upon reaching at the said place, the team
saw and witness abandoned sixteen (16) pieces illegally cut lumber of
endangered species of “Lauan” conveyed on a steel cart (karo) with dimension of
2X2X20, estimated volume of 106.6 board feet with estimated total local market
value of One Thousand Nine Hundred Eighteen (P1, 918.00) (P18.00 for each board
foot). The confiscated items were properly turned over to the DENR CENRO-Siocon
for proper disposition. Elements of Siocon MPS still conducting investigation
to possibly identify the responsible of said illegal cutting of endangered
species.
Fire Incident
DIPOLOG
CITY - On March 4, 2018 at about 4:28 AM, a fire incident transpired at
Convention Center situated at Estaka Dipolog City. Immediately, PNP personnel
of Dipolog CPS responded to the report. Initial investigation conducted
disclosed that the fire had started at more or less 4:00AM as what had observed
by the duty Security Guard Archil Maglangit y Napao, 42 years old, married a
resident of Miputak Dipolog City of the said building and it started at the
Human Resource and Development section and Accounting Section situated at the
Ground Floor of the said building. As determined by the fire investigator Fire
Officer 2 Alchester Progoso the cause of the incident is linked to the
electrical mishaps. There were lots of unplugged electrical gadgets like
computer voltage regulator and (UPS) (uninterrupted power supply) in the crime
scene. The cost of damaged of the incident as to the structure of the building
and as estimated by the fire investigator is more or less Twenty Thousand Pesos
(P20, 000.00) and several paper documents which were burned by the fire. The
fire was declared fire-out at about 5:10AM of same date. No declared casualty/injury
during the said incident.
