LA
LIBERTAD, Zamboanga Del Norte (Aug. 7, 2018) - A former Mayor of La Libertad, Zamboanga Del Norte was
arrested by elements of La Libertad Police Station at Barangay Poblacion, La
Libertad, Zamboanga Del Norte at about 9:00 AM of August 6, 2018.
La Libertad MPS identified the arrested
person as Manuel Sulit y Corre, 64 years old, married, a former Municipal Mayor
of La Libertad, a resident of afore-said place.
The accused was arrested by virtue of
warrant of arrest for Violation of Article 218 of the Revised Penal Code docketed
in Criminal Case No. SB-17-CRM-0466 to 0467 issued by Ma Theresa Dolores C
Gomez-Estoesta, Chairperson, Seventh Division, Sandiganbayan, Centennial
Building, and Commonwealth Ave., Quezon City with bail bond recommended
amounting to Six thousand Pesos Php 6,000.00 pesos for his temporary liberty. Arrested
wanted person was brought to La Libertad MPS for proper disposition.
Robbery
Suspect Arrested in Sibutad, Zamboanga Del Norte
SIBUTAD,
Zamboanga del Norte (Aug. 7, 2018) -
Combined operatives of Sibutad MPS, Regional Intelligence Unit 9 and Zamboanga
del Norte Provincial Intelligence Branch conducted manhunt operation at Purok 4
Barangay Poblacion, Sibutad, Zamboanga del Norte at around 8:30 PM of August
05, 2018.
The operation was resulted to the
arrest of a certain Rowil Lastimosa y
Elumbaring 39 years old, male, single, Filipino and a resident of
above-mentioned place. He was arrested by virtue warrant of arrest issued by Hon.
Wilfredo C. Martinez, Regional Trial Judge, Regional Trial Court of Region
Nine, Branch 10, Dipolog City, Zamboanga Del Norte. The case was docketed for
the crime of Robbery with Criminal case number-9896 dated August 28, 2000 with
recommended bail bond is fixed to twelve thousand pesos (P12, 000.00) for his
temporary liberty.
During his arrest, the accused was
properly informed the nature of his arrest and his constitutional rights in
dialect known to him and his right to demand a physical/medical examination and
he was brought and detained to Sibutad MPS for proper documentation prior
commitment to wanting court.
Murder
Suspect Arrested
DIPOLOG
CITY (Aug. 7, 2018) - A 34-year old man who was charged for
crime of murder was arrested by combined operatives of CIDG, Dipolog City
Police Station and Zamboanga Del Norte PPO-Intel Branch at Purok Buli, Minaog,
Dipolog City at about 4:10 PM of August 6, 2018.
Arrested was Wilfredo Palanas Catahan
Jr., 34 years old, single and resident of Purok Buli, Minaog, Dipolog City. He
was arrested by virtue of Alias Warrant of Arrest issued by Hon. Victoriano D.
Lacaya Jr., presiding judge of RTC Branch 9 of 9Th Judicial Region, Dipolog
City dated December 14, 2017 for the crime of Murder, the case was docketed
under criminal case number 15439 with no bail bond recommended.
Accused is temporarily under the
custody of CIDG-Zamboanga Del Norte, Minaog, Dipolog City for proper
disposition.
Rape
Suspect Nabbed in Police Operation
MUTIA,
Zamboanga Del Norte (Aug. 7, 2018) -
58-year old suspect of rape was arrested by combined elements of Mutia MPS and
Don Vitoriano MPS at about 10:30AM of August 06, 2018 at Barangay Lalod, Don
Victoriano, Missamis Occidental.
Police identified the arrested suspect
as Pablo Basilio Tan, 58 yrs. old, male, a resident of Barangay Alvenda, Mutia,
Zamboanga Del Norte and temporarily residing at Barangsy Lalod, Don Victoriano,
Missamis Occidental.
The operating PNP personnel arrested
the accused by virtue of alias warrant of arrest for the crime of Rape Criminal
Case # 12588 with no recommended bail bond issued on January 31, 2005, duly
signed and issued by Presiding Judge Solidad A Acaylar of Regional Trial Court
Branch 7, Dipolog City.
After the arrest, the above
accused/suspect was fully informed of his constitutional rights under the
Miranda Doctrine and Anti-torture Act. Further, the above arrested person
brought at this station and now temporarily detained for proper disposition.

killed in Shooting Incident
SERGIO
OSMEÑA, ZaNorte (Aug. 7, 2018) – One
killed in Shooting incident transpired at Barangay Dampalan, Sergio Osmeña,
Zamboanga Del Norte at about 6:16 PM of August 6, 2018. The victim identified
as Danilo Pagan y Gumiason, male, 57 years old, farmer, married, and a resident
of Brgy. Dampalan, Sergio Osmeña Sr. Zamboanga Del Norte. The victim was shot
to death by the unidentified suspect.
Initial investigation conducted by the
PNP elements of Sergio Osmeña MPS disclosed that at around 6:00 PM of August 6,
2018, the victim (Danilo) was at his farmland to pasture his carabao located at
the Purok 7, Brgy. Dampalan, Sergio Osmeña and was allegedly shot to death
twice by unidentified suspect hitting on his neck and hips which resulted to
his untimely death. Recover from the crime scene was two empty shell believed
to be a Garand rifle.
Sergio Osmeña MPS is conducting
thorough investigation to identify the perpetrator/assailant. Motive of the

killed in Hacking Incident
SALUG,
Zambonga del Norte (Aug, 7, 2018) – One
killed in Hacking incident transpired Barangay Ramon Magsaysay, Salug,
Zamboanga Del Norte at about 1:00 AM of August 5, 2018.
Responding Salug MPS saw the victim
lifeless lying in the ground and sustained several hack wounds in the different
parts of his body that resulted to his instantaneous death. The responding PNP
Personnel identified the victim as Nicasio Anastacio Galinio, alias “Daksa”, male,
58 years old, separated and a temporary residing at same barangay.
Investigation conducted disclosed that
at about 1:00am dawn more or less of
same date the victim (Nicasio Galinio) was in the house of Mrs. Mary
Jane Ondoc Banong where he temporary
residing in Sitio Tugop, Barangay Ramon Magsayasay, Salug, Zamboanga del Norte.
the suspect identified as certain
Hazzer Taradji, alias Posing Taradji, 38 years old, married and a resident same
place came in the house of Mrs. Mary Jane Banong and believed to be under the
influence of intoxicated liquor. Accordingly, they were just having
conversation but turn into heated argument because of their previous grudges of
the victim and suspect also inciting trouble to any person presence thereat and
threatening them to kill.
Thereafter, the suspect went home then
minutes later he came back armed with bolo immediately forcibly entered the
house of Mrs. Mary Jane Banong and firstly hacked the victim (Nicasio Galinio).
The victim hit in the right arm and the said victim tried to escape but
unfortunately the suspect got him and he continues his evil intent to kill the
victim.
That after suspect succeeded his
intention he left at the area boarded his motorcycle heading to unknown
direction. That believed to be motive of the incident were personal grudge and
girlfriend feud that because it has happened the victim had text mates who is
also suspect interest.
That about 4:00am of same date, PNP
personnel of Salug MPS brought the dead body in Liloy Integrated Health
District Hospital for Post Mortem Examination and medico legal examination
wherein conducted by the attending physician and medical certificate will be
given later said police station.
The PNP personnel Salug MPS still
conducted hot pursuit operation of the suspect for possible arrest and case is
being prepared to file appropriated charges against the perpetrator.
