1 dead, 4 injured in Traffic
Accident
MANUKAN, Zamboanga del Norte (Sept.
7, 2018) – One
person was died while 4 others were injured in Vehicular accident transpired at
Sitio Dequis, Brgy. Poblacion, Manukan, Zamboanga Del Norte at about 8:20 PM of
September 3, 2018.
Initial
investigation conducted disclosed that the vehicles involved were:
MC1-
Blue Honda XRM125 bearing Plate No. JH3869, Engine No. XRM15E113947, Chassis
No. XRM15113947, registered under the name of Edmar Gondola and driven by
certain Janjan Sotello, believed to be under the influence of intoxicating
liquor, 22 years old, male married, Filipino and a resident of Brgy. Serongan,
Manukan, Zamboanga del Norte; and
MC2-
Black XRM 125 Extreme FI without plate number, with Engine No. KPYR1E022041,
Chassis No. KPYR1022064, owned and driven by Elizar Meraveles, 38 years old,
male single, farmer, elementary, Filipino and a resident of Brgy. Siparok Jose
Dalman Zamboanga del Norte, with two passengers namely:
1 person arrested on the Campaign against Loose Firearms
SALUG,
Zanorte (Sept. 4, 2018) - On August 31,
2018 at about 6:30 PM, the joint team of CIDG9, 901st Mobile Company of RMFB9,
Zamboanga Del Norte Provincial Mobile Company, Regional Maritime Unit 9,
Provincial Intelligence Branch of Zamboanga Del Norte PPO and Salug MPS
proceeded to Purok 1, Brgy Mucas, Salug ZDN and implemented three Search
Warrants.
The Search Warrant with No. 18-4, 18-5,
and 18-6.were all issued by Judge Rowena S. Carpitanos-Magallanes, of MCTC,
Salug-Godod, Zamboanga Del Norte for Violation of RA 10591.
The operating troops also successfully
arrested the suspect identified as Alieh Alim Musa, 31 years old, High School
Level, Fisherman, HVT Drug personality of Salug MPS and a surrenderer
categorized as pusher.
The police operatives Confiscated from
the house of the suspect were the
following items, to wit:
One unit Cal .45 pistols;
Two magazines for Cal .45;
Seven pcs live ammos for Cal .45;
Four pcs short magazines for M16 rifle:
Three pcs long magazines for M16 rifle;
Twenty pcs live ammos for M16: and
Thirty pcs of live ammos of Cal 9MM.
The arrested person Alieh Alim Musa is
now in custody of CIDG9 for proper disposition together with the confiscated
items.
1 killed
in Shooting Incident
TAMPILISAN,
Zamboanga Del Norte (Sept. 4, 2018) – One
person was killed in Shooting incident transpired at Brgy Farmington,
Tampilisan, Zamboanga Del Norte at about 2:34 PM of September 1, 2018.
Upon arrival of the responding PNP
personnel of Tampilisan MPS the team witnessed a single motorcycle lying on
right portion of the said Brgy road with a lifeless male person soaked with
blood.
Initial investigation disclosed that
the victim identified as Ernesto Monding Santiago, 53 years old, married,
resident of Brgy Poblacion, Tampilisan, employee of Provincial Environment
Management Office (PEMO).
Prior to the incident the victim was
attending Brgy Tabo at Brgy Situbo, Tampilisan, doing his regular extra source
of income being a rubber canvasser. After his work he went home riding his
single Honda XRM 125, red and black combination with two ladies back riders
identified as Rosa Empis Quinot, 18 years old, single and Jolina Refamonte
Quilicot, 17 years old, both residents of Brgy Banuangan, Godod, and likewise
both students of Tampilisan National High School, Tampilisan.
That according to the two ladies back
riders while on their way of travel from Brgy Situbo and upon reaching at the
place of incident suddenly a riding in tandem suspects tailing them and
suddenly the back rider shot the victim once that resulted them to fell down to
ground hitting and wounding the victim on his head.
The two back riders were run and asked
for help while the riding in tandem suspects fled to unknown direction. Incident
occurred at around 2:28pm of same date.
Recovered from the crime scene were one
empty shell of Caliber .45 pistol, wallet belong to the victim contain one
piece 500 pesos, one lighter green, one unit cell phone, five pieces fifty
pesos, three pieces twenty pesos one bottle white flower and one ten peso coin.
Motive of the incident is yet to be determined.

Most Wanted Person Arrested
SIBUCO,
Zamboanga Del Norte (Sept. 4, 2018) – The
Police operatives of Sibuco MPS conducted manhunt operation at Sitio Wasuy,
Barangay, Malayal, Sibuco, Zamboanga Del Norte at about 5:00 PM of September 2,
2018.
The operation was resulted to the
arrest of two most wanted person namely:
Jefrey Sioco Y Mudai, 35 years old, Top
5 Most Wanted Person; and
Homer Ocampo Y Onsilao, 37 years old,
Top 4 Most Wanted Person, both residents of above mentioned place.
They were arrested by virtue of warrant
of Arrest issued by Presiding Judge Laarni N Dajao of 9th Judicial Region
Branch 27, Siocon Zamboanga Del Norte docketed in Criminal Case Number
2015-05-09 (1217) for the Crime of Murder.
Subject arrested personalities were
immediately brought and detained to Sibuco MPS for proper disposition.
Campaign
against Illegal Logging
SIBUCO,
Zamboanga Del Norte (Sept. 4, 2018) – On
September 1, 2018 at about 1:00 PM, Sibuco MPS received report from a concern
citizen that there was an illegal Logging activity at Barangay Panganuran,
Sibuco Zamboanga Del Norte.
Acted on the report, a PNP team and
Elements from 42nd Infantry Battalion on board with motorized pump boat preceded
the said place to verify the veracity of the information received.
That upon the arrival of the said area
at of same date troops immediately locate the reported area and personally saw
abandoned numerous fetishes hard wood lumber (yakal, red lawaan and white
lawaan) therein estimated to be more or less 19,000 nineteen thousand board
feet with estimated amounting to Php437, 000.
The operating troops confiscate the
said lumber at about 1:30am of September 2, 2018 the troops arrived at sitio
Tungawan, barangay Poblacion, Sibuco Zamboanga del Norte and immediately
Coordinate with the Municipal Environment Office of Sibuco ZN and turned over
the confiscated Lumber and temper boat properly received by Mr Masher Daiyan
MENRO for safekeeping and proper disposition. Investigator on Case is Po3 Edgar
