Shooting Incident
SIRAWAI - Shooting
incident occurred at Purok Kayuhan (Post 5) Sirawai Proper, Sirawai, Zamboanga
Del Norte
at about 9:30 AM
January 23, 2017. Investigation conducted disclosed that the victim was
identified as Latip Jumdani y Lawan, 35years old, married, fish vendor, a
resident of Barangay Recodo, Zamboanga City and temporarily residing at Purok
Kayuhan (Post 5) Sirawai Proper, Sirawai, Zamboanga Del Norte. The victim was
shot by three (3) unidentified perpetrators wearing bonnets using cal. 45 based
on the empty shells and slugs recovered at the crime scene. Further
investigation revealed that the victim was walking outside his house in
Sirawai, and without any word, he was shot by the three unidentified suspects
who were then waiting for him. The victim suffered multiple GSW’s to the
different parts of his body and head that caused his death. The said incident is not a drug related. Recovered
at the crime scene were eight (8) empty shells of cal. 45 and one (1) slug
which are now deposited at Sirwai MPS for exhibit. Suspects escaped from the crime scene towards
mangrove area heading to Barangay Piacan, Sirawai, Zamboanga Del Norte.
Elements of Sirawai MPS is now conducting pursuit operation to locate and for
possible arrest of the perpetrators.
